Room is too small and cramped for a suite. When the sofa bedis deployed for kids it completely obstructed the whole room even after moving aside all the coffee tables, chairs snd side tables. We have to climb over the beds to reach the other side.

Instead of hiding behind the pillar and letting us stand there on a Saturday evening until we finally had to ask where the concierge was. We ended up leaving and looked for a restaurant ourselves. We just wanted advice as to where to go for something easy with no reservation. We found a lovely soufflé place..: on our own!

a physically tiny space for a regular room. you are paying strictly for location, which is right in the Shopping District. a tiny closet where the few provided hangers dont even fit front-to-back. the mini fridge offers no space for your own items. We had an awkward bathroom with no shower doors / glass / separation - just a shower head in the corner of your bathroom. Always booked to max capacity so no ability to change rooms. Just sort of uncomfortable for what you're paying

The property looks much better in photos. We stayed for one night to wait for a flight home and if this was for my entire stay in Paris I would have left. It’s cramped and looks like it needs a complete overhaul. The carpet smells. The walls and woodwork have been repainted about 80 times. Bathrooms seem old and dingy.

I loved my stay at Sofitel, the staffs are the warmest and super helpful. Room is so clean and they changed sheets for us everyday. Tbh I haven’t experienced this good service for a long time in the US, this almost felt a little unreal. However, I have to point out that the breakfast is quite disappointing. It is said until 11am but 10:15am they already took away everything. And the salad was all rotten veggies in my bowl…..the breakfast is so expensive, highly recommend eating outside.

Fabulous location! Walk to the Place de la Concorde. Short Ubers to all the main sites. Luxury shopping everywhere. Hotel is next to the American embassy, so security is everywhere. Rooms are small (as always in Europe), but very nice. The concierge staff was extremely helpful in booking a private tour of Chartres cathedral and providing good dining recommendations. Highly recommend!

After an initial problem with our booking - the room had apparently been given to someone else - and a challenging discussion about an upgrade which took several hours we finally received an upgraded room which was fine. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the bar is fine. The location is good.

I stayed in Sofitel Faubourg on April 16 and 17 only 2 days. I booked the hotel stay thru Expedia. I booked Luxury Room king size but when I arrive the hotel I was told that expedia's web page is wrong and Actually my room is queen size and not luxury. I was told that the check in time at 3:00 Pm and I had to wait till then. We came back to hotel around 2:45 to see if the room is ready and I was told that there is a room available ( receptionist made a comment: even though it is not 3:00 PM but the room ready.. it was 2:45PM ) at first floor looking over courtyard and the half size of the original room that I booked. After traveling 7 hours flight and running around the city all day all I wanted to do is take a shower and we said it is fine.

The complimentary upgrade was very nice and sincerely appreciated! The hotel room was very spacious and clean. Our bedroom had a proper king bed and a double sofa bed. Housekeeping would close everything up in the morning and prepare at turndown. The bathroom was spacious and had a separate shower and tub. The hallways were a bit dated and needed a refresh of paint/wallpaper (especially on the 2nd floor) and the hallway carpets needed to be steam cleaned and spot cleaned for stains. The staff at reception and in the lobby were very friendly. The doorman made sure there were plenty of complimentary umbrellas for all guests during rain. The street has lots of security and the area is very safe. I would call this area Vendome since it is less than 700m from Vendome. Overall, I would stay again and recommend the hotel.

We have stayed at this Sofitel several times in the past (10 years ago) and were always happy. The hotel itself is lovely but our room was small and dark with a shower that was absolutely useless! The bed had an under blanket which had a ridge in the middle which meant that my wife and I kept rolling to the edge of the bed. The staff were pleasant but the 'very expensive' hot breakfast was stone cold. This was scrambled egg, bacon and sausage. I waited for a fresh delivery but that really wasn't much warmer. The fruit and cereal was OK but the coffee took forever to arrive and was sludgy and undrinkable. I am amazed that the quality was no very poor at breakfast.
The reason we went back was previous experience and location which is great - a couple of minutes from the Le Place De La Concorde.
We won't use this hotel again.. Very disappointing. We are in the Gatwick Sofitel on Monday so let's hope it's better than Paris!

I enjoyed the property tremendously. Previously I’ve stayed at the peninsula and the Mandarin Oriental. This hotel although last opulent felt much friendlier and personal. The only criticism is if they could alter or change up the breakfast offerings every other day or so.
