Avoid this hotel if you are an international traveler!!! The way that they were attempting to charge my credit card froze my card multiple times and luckily a few owns could send me $ on WeChat so I had a place to sleep. One time they tried to charge my card repeatedly 7 times!! And when I asked them to slow down to allow my bank in Canada to process the payment properly they were stressed to get payment and made the situation worse. This happened to me 4 times and each time caused me to spend hours with my banks fraud department in Canada.

The location is great, very central but the property is worn and things like the A/C worked very poorly. A horrible experience overall and avoid staying here if possible!!

Never got up in time for the breakfast besides the complementary bananas and figs (tasted like little apples) were plenty for a health breakfast
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Complementary safety deposit box didn't work at first but staff quickly fixed with it new batteries.

Day trip in Dongguan

It was amazing. The hotel is 5 stars. It is at the end of a massive shopping and eatery center. The hotel is well maintained. The room is spacious with a large marble toilet. You will see lots of special tea shops serving Tea Latte and tea with fruit juice. Getting around can be tricky. You can download the DiDi app, which is probably the best way to call a taxi.

The restaurants in the mall next to the hotel offers reasonable priced food.

Butler team is great - Jeff was really fantastic! Generally, little English in Dongguan, but the hotel does a good job with it. The hotel is attached to a big mall - I got a wash, blowdry and head massage there for the equivalent of $9.50 (Top Paris )

Excellent hotel, the provide warm milk at night for your good sleeping. My colleague accidentally hurt her finger and the chamber maid came with the ointment. Fruits are served but when I told them I prefer oranges, immediately they send in 2 oranges and leave the 2 apples with us. Very generous and a good standard hotel.
Around the hotel are many restaurants that you can find. So no problem on meals.
One thing to note, they have a faulty chain lock and require repair and they did after half an hour. There's no latch on the door hence your secruity depends highly on the chain lock. So one thing or another, always check if your chain lock is working in whatever hotel you're checking in.

Excellent service, great price for 4.5-star hotel

I must commend the excellent service of the housekeeper who found my small rosary bag in the room after I checked out of the hotel. She promptly returned it to the hotel and the hotel staff then emailed hotels.com which in turn emailed me informing me that I've left something in the hotel room including some money. It's true that I've kept $300 US dollars cash in the rosary bag and I was so surprised that the hotel would notify me. I thought I must have dropped it in the streets. I sent a relative who lives there to pick up the rosary bag and the money is all there intact. What a honest housekeeper, and what a honest hotel staff. Few people would not pick up unattended cash and it's amazing that they would return money left behind by a customer.

Hotel is first class, amenities are great, room view is great, breakfast buffet is great, everything is super clean, and the honest housekeeper deserves the highest commendation.

Foreign travelers will feel at home here

This is a world class hotel with all the amenities. Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, and always helpful both in the facility and when helping you get about town. We felt safe and at home here. The breakfast buffet is a must as it resembles a massive brunch offering of international foods, and their traditional Chinese restaurant is world class. The hotel is surroundded by a shopping mall, many cafes, and shops, and is directly across from the convention center. Our only less than 5-star experience was their French restaurant on the 37th floor. It was more of a french food and wine wannabe, and we paid NYC prices for a prtty mediocore meal. Other than that, this is a hotel to try.

This is as good as it gets!

It would be impossible for anyone to be unhappy staying here. The staff was amazing, the rooms are above and beyond, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was also above and beyond. It's a very popular hotel. I had different vendors picking me up every day and they were all familiar with this hotel.
I stayed in a suite because all of the other rooms were sold out. They leave a fresh fruit bowel every day. Let me tell you, with me being on a different time schedule, it was perfect when I woke up very early and wanting something to eat until breakfast started.

Nice hotel in good but busy location. Shopping and many nearby restaurants. Hotel 'charges' a very significant deposit to credit card in advance for daily charges. When I objected, manager reduced it to make me happy, so they care about customer satisfaction. Breakfast buffet could be much better if they could keep things hot, butmany stone cold. Eggs cooked in advance and just left on counter to get cold. Good Japanese restaurant, but Chinese restaurant seems to cater to Chinese at the expense of foreigners. I have also stayed at Pullman Forum, and I prefer that as it is quieter, but Kande has much more comfortable beds. But I had a very good 2 week stay at Kande.

Do not get your clothes laundered here!

I stayed here on business, i travel to this area of China 3 times a year and have done for 10 years. The hotel and room was comfortable and most of the staff were pleasant. However i decided to get some laundry done and my jeans were returned still with marks on and my dress was ruined, it had been shrunk and was very wrinkled, it is unwearable. They offered to try to redo it but i was so upset that my £100 dress was ruined that i didn't trust them not to make it even worse. They said i didn't have to pay for this item to be cleaned but insisted that i paid for the rest of the laundry, and offered me no compensation for my dress at all. In fact they were not even apologetic about it just insisted i paid up. I would have thought when it calls itself an international hotel they would understand international customs and would realise this was poor service but even the Manager did not even acknowledge that they had made a mistake and try to compensate me, just demanded my money. I was very upset and they could see this but they were very uncompromising. I would not stay in this hotel again due to this experience, but also the spa treatments were hugely over priced and when you travel for business you might like to have a massage but at that price it is not justified.

5 Star in the center of Dongguan, China

Hotel facilities and location were terrific. It's fairly new so everything was clean and modern.

One of the bellmen, Harash was awesome! He went above and beyond. The rest of the staff was average. Need to work on catering to guests of all nationalities. The night manager on my last night was particularly unhelpful.

Food selection at breakfast and dinner buffets needs to be expanded. Breakfast was boring and I had to eat the same thing every day. Dinner was way worse. $43 for 95% Asian menu, some of which was inedible. I would have been better off eating at the Chinese or Japanese restaurants.

Overall, it's a good hotel that needs more time to broaden it's services and food to westerners. I will stay here again if my favorite Hotel Pullman is not available.

Great Hotel in heart of DongGuan

I moved here for business after staying at the Hilton in Futian, Shenzhen. I was worried, as it was a Chinese owned hotel, that I would be disappointed after staying at a Hilton. I shouldn't have worried. The staff were excellent, my room was comfortable and clean and I loved the bath. Food was very good. I tried the Japanese restaurant (excellent) and had a couple of room service meals as I was working very late.
Can't praise highly enough, although it would be nice to be able to use the pool in the winter (too cold). I also noticed lots of other foreigners staying here and while this doesn't necessarily mean anything, another, more interesting, relaxed bar other than the lobby lounge might encourage people to chat with each other.....

5 Star hotel with 2 star AC

1) The hotel entrance is very confusing, so when people book the hotel, there should be an instruction on how to get to the entrance.
2) The room didn't turn the AC on when we checked in, when we got to the room, we turned the AC on. It was weird the bell boy set up the temperature to 16 degree C, then I figured the AC had serious problem, it never worked well. The temperature in the room was very high, felt like free sauna.

Amazing hotel - just missing speedy taxi service

Stayed here for business. The hotel is in a mint condition having just recently been built. It is near a good shopping mall and food. The main problem is the concierge and taxi's. I had to wait for 20 minutes to get a taxi on many occasions. The heard the same thing from several other travelers. So, if you are planning to take repeated trips around the area with via taxi then you might want to book somewhere else.

Disappointing booking on hotels.com

I booked a superior room for 2 adults with free but during check-in, the hotel said no breakfast is included and when I showed what is written on my confirmation email, they snapped a photo of that email and said they would fix the situation for me. At night when we returned to the hotel at 10:30pm we dropped by the front desk to confirm that we would have our breakfast the next morning but was told that as a courtesy they could only give us one free breakfast and we would need to pay for the second of which I did not understand at all as my payment of reservation was for two. I was quite mad and told them if they could not provide what is promised they should have let me know earlier and I would not have checked-in the hotel in the first place. I then also wrote to hotels.com and they replied requesting me to send my breakfast bill in JPEG format post check out and they will validate the details and assist me further. The next day after I checked-out from Kande, I emailed the breakfast bill to hotels.com but until now I have not received any reply from them at all. Very disappointing booking with hotels.com and bad experience with Kande. To all considering this hotel, do not trust about the free breakfast.

Hotel was very good and I recommend. The only issue was getting to the hotel from HKIA. I was told at the gogo shuttle counter that they where not going to the Kande hotel today and they could only drop me off at the silverwood garden hotel... 4 blocks away. Had to negotiate with the driver and pay extra fee even though gogo bus stated they go to this hotel.
The only reservation I have to stay at this hotel again is how to get there. After 24 hours of travel it is the last thing you want to deal with.

Good on the Surface, not as good with the Details.

One of those hotels that isn't as good as it should be. Good location in downtown DG. Nice on the outside. Ok on the inside, but missing a few touches. Booked a room for 2 people, which they admitted, then tried to tell us that we only had 1 breakfast, and tried to charge us 138 RMB for the 2cnd one. Room doesn't have individual amenities. Big, mass quantities, shampoo bottle used by others. Bedspread had a huge stain (don't want to know). B-fast mediocre, and bar is not up to standard. On the plus side, had a very good outdoor pool, and better than average gym. Many \"xiaojie's\" hanging around, if that's your thing.

Absolutely perfect in all aspects. I was met in the lobby by Lika presenting me with a business card, to call a mobile if anything at all. Staff from laundry pickup to Concierge was very positive and helpfull, and the level of english was perfect. They also arrange for a car if you need. If you fly in from Shenzhen make sure to arrange a car to pick you up, as taxis from Shenzhen does not drive to Dongguan. Another strong point is very fast internet with VPN for each room, so google and facebook... Not a problem to keep in touch. I will never consider anything else in Dongguan. Only minus is that they promise 4 hour laundry, but that they cannot live up to, but if you know in advance, not a problem.

Firstly, The counter staffs were not well train, they refused to give me a room after I showed them the Expedia receipt I been charges & all the details include in that receipt, they said they couldn't give me a room because it wasn't in their system. I told them you have to give me a room because I already paid. Finally she said she would give me first and they will check. Secondly, the second day in the morning when we were having breakfast, I saw a blonde lady took 4/5 small mangoes to leave the restaurant, the staff didn't say anything to her. After a little while, I saw an (asian look) boy pushing his luggage and took a yogurt & a Yakult, the staff also did not stop him. I had 2 yakult for me & my 94 years old mum from the start of our breakfast, & we didn't drink, so I decided to take to the room and finished them, I was stopped by the staff, she told me I wasn't allow to bring the food out of the restaurant, I was holding my 2 yakult with my left hand & holding my mon on my right hand, I did not intent to hide in my handbag. I told her I saw so many people taking food away from the restaurant, she didn't stop anyone at all, I was staying there for 2 nights with my 94 years old mom, I must say, she was doing half of her job by stopping me, but why not the blonde & the others. I'm an Australian but Chinese looking. I understand very little mandarin, my whole conversation was in English, at last I had to drink in front of her. What a racist ....

This is a new 2 year old hotel, a truly deserved 5 stars hotel with a high end shopping mall at its next block in which there are many good restaurants. Hotels.com got me the best price to stay. I certainly will try to stay here at my next opportunity.

직원들이 친절하고 5일 지내는 동안 과일을 줘서 너무 좋았다. 객실에 책상이나 전등 위에 먼지 청소는 좀 더 필요하다. 하지만 대체적으로 깨끗하고 정돈된 방에서 잘 지냈습니다. 아침 뷔페 식사가 좋다. 추천함. 위치도 일단 좋다. 원몰이랑 디지몰 같은 큰 쇼핑몰도 있고 밥 먹을 곳도 많다. 지하철역도 바로 앞이고. 원몰 지하에는 슈퍼마켓도 있다.

My best and top pick hotel in Dongguan for the last 8 years. You cannot ask for a better location and staff service is beyond expectation. Room is very clean and well decorated. Breakfast buffet is rich, just like dinner.
