We were traveling through during our move and were happy to have a quiet spacious room. The shower was a little funky in getting the water the desired temperature but once we got it figured out it was fine. The property is convenient and there are dining options within walking g distance if you arrive in town early enough. Many dinner places close at 8.

The property is well maintained on the exterior. Slightly less on the interior. Electrical outlets are old and would not hold what was being plugged in. No ironing board/iron in the room. You could ask at the front desk for them. Same goes for the hair dryer in the bathroom, not in the room, but ask.
We booked a suite and received a large handicapped room. Suite terminology used very loosely. A door exists between the beds and the bathroom.

It is difficult to give this property a higher rating considering what we spent.

Good points - room was clean, newer television, a coffee maker, and somewhat comfortable beds.
Bad points - The room is something out of a bad 70s movie. Peeling paint on the walls, crumbling drywall, old shower stall with barely usable fixtures, stuck windows, duct tape holding piping in place and more...

I cannot in good conscience recommend this motel

The room had mold all around the bathroom floors, window and shower. The toilet seat was broke. My husband fell off. We were lucky he didn't get hurt bad, as he has a bad back. I asked the front office to refund me for my stay. She did not respond except to say they just took over the motel. We are very upset and disappointed. They should not be open until they make repairs.

The day was very nice. The property is very, very nice and all the hotel management are very kind. The only problem I had is I felt like our chairs that were in the room. They were very wobbly and and we did not even want to sit on them because we figured we would break them so they probably need a little replacement and our fixtures in our shower were seem to be nearer to falling off although the shower itself had the best pressure and it was so nice, but the knobs were just barely hanging on. The only one other issue that we had was obviously it’s a hotel where people hike and are out in the wilderness and come back, obviously needing a shower and when we came back on the second night, the hot water was not available. We called the office and they said that the pilot light had gone out and that in 20 minutes, we’d be able to shower while we checked in 20 minutes and then we checked in an hour and then we checked in two hours and the water was still freezing cold so I would assume that if the pilot light needed to be lit, then it took quite a while for the water to heat up. I’m not sure exactly what happened so this morning after this whole non-shower fiasco. I wanted to shower and I got in in the water kept going from hot cold, hot cold and then all of a sudden the hot water shut off and it was freezing cold, and I had to rinse the soap off really fast and completely ice cold water. It was not good.

The place was really nice and located conveniently near the middle of the little town close to shops, grocery and gas. The lady at the office desk was nice and polite. The only things we may have liked better is that we had untried towels which were replaced immediately when asked. The shower curtain was barely covering the corners and was hard to keep it closed to prevent from water splashing out. The AC was quite loud but didn't bother as much as we were all tired and slept without a problem. Would hv been nice if the TV was a smart TV. Would go back for the friendly, cleanly and convenient place for the price I paid

The room was spacious and clean, but the floor was dirty. Walked around barefoot in evening and bottom of my feet were so dirty. What I found annoying was they provide coffee but nowhere to plug it in except next to bathroom sink. The cord wasn't long enough to reach any wall plugs. The bathroom wasn't an option because there was no shelf under vanity to put my things to make room for the coffee. I ended up unplugging microwave and moving a chair next to it. I put coffee tray on the chair and plugged it in.

I do want to acknowledge the friendliness of the staff when checking in.

Super friendly, not fancy, perfect wood retreat.

The room was big. Not fancy. But just perfect. 2 beds. It had microwave, coffee pot, and a fridge. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We got water from the office every morning. That was a huge bonus, as we were hiking and needed the water. This hotel is perfectly situated between Lassen and Shasta mountains. It’s quiet, quaint and with just a few stores for food, etc. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the woods.

There are very limited hotel/motel options in this area. It is an older facility. Bedding was good. However the tub ran continuously keeping my wife awake all evening and the sink would not drain properly.
It is conveniently located in reasonable proximity to the Burney Falls which is a must see if staying here.

The bedding/linen was very dirty and someone had stepped on the beds leaving full figured muddy shoe prints on the beds. The on-call manager checked out the room and agreed that it was pretty bad. However, they did not have any alternate rooms or staff on call to change my bedding. I was given new linen and expected to change it myself. The change of linen was equally dirty and unwashed which makes me think recycling old linen without washing is a regular practice here. Avoid staying here.

The on-call manager Marissa had promised me a refund, which never came and now the hotel is not responding.

Shasta Pines was a good choice for Lassen Nat'l Pk

We were there for 3 nights.The clerk at the desk was most accommodating and friendly. The room was clean, quiet except for the last night when our neighbor had the TV on all night. Location was convenient for Lassen Nat'l Park and the necessities in town were sufficient.

This motel offered the bare minimum. There was no hair dryer or phone in the room. Also, the front desk staff was difficult to locate.
We stayed for 2 nights. After returning from an outing, our bed was unmade, nor were the bathroom or floors cleaned; however, our television was on. It was creepy.
Also, the first night, some guests decided to have a party in the parking lot. Of course there wasn’t any staff around to ask them to keep in down. We were very disappointed in this motel.

Staff was nice. AC was worn down. Rooms look cleaner in pictures vs reality. Sheets looked worn, a bit sketch, like they just put the blanket back over. Day 2, they gave our room to another person while I was still sleeping there. Stranger walks in. Not the best experience, we left a day early. Was hoping to get one day credit back since they gave our room to a stranger, who walked in on me while I was in my boxers. But nope. Lesson learned. Hard pass on this one.

It was okay. The front desk was very nice. Wanted leave after one night had booked for 2 nights. He didnt charge me for the second night. I was surprised and thankful. Wasnt feeling good and just wanted to go home. Checked out 4 waterfalls.
