This place is a gem. Highly recommend the breakfast which is fresh and includes home baked goods, poached eggs, cheese and mortadella, fresh yogurt with toppings and juices. We went on Salt Flat excursion with Ricardo which can only be accessed through a registered guide. There were tons of flamingos and other water birds. Comacchio is a bird watcher/photographers paradise and Ricardo’s background as a naturalist and photographer will amp up your experience. Lovely place and people.

Property sits in a quiet location on a canal. It is clean, stylishly fitted and decorated and the room and en suite were comfortable and of reasonable size. Proprietors, Riccardo and Sarah, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an excellent spread of yoghurts, meats, eggs and pastries with local jams etc. A fewvparking spaces are available directly behind the property at a charge of €8 per day, but, be warned, the entrance and parking is very tight, so not for a large car!

Great.perfect location.centere of the town with EV charging port parking. Stuffs are all so kind. I could use microwave oven in the kitchen for my eel rice bowl.the restaurant she taughut me was owesosome.
Just one improvement is better wifi connection for next time please!

A great stay at Al Ponticello while on our Northern Italian trip, chose the hotel because of its location but with limited knowledge of Comacchio. It really is a hidden treasure of a town with history and a fantastic local culture.
Before arriving we were messaged by Riccardo to inform us of an event that was happening and that roads were closed. On arrival Riccardo was the most helpful and friendly person to meet. He offered local restaurant recommendations and told us what to look for in the area.
The room was very nice and quirky, we were in the eaves of the roof with low ceilings as expected but the central glass shower and round bed were very nice touches.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay to remember.
Just a note: you do have to pay for parking which we were not aware of.

Best B&B ever

The best B&B we ever stayed at, Ricardo and Sara were such welcoming hosts to us, super friendly, amazing Organic food, different selection every morning, we ended up doing a private bird watching tour with Ricardo who is a professional nature guide, we got to see the flamingos and other species of birds with a detailed explanation of each new bird we saw, we had such a pleasant experience, also in the heart of the city by the water.

This is a perfect boutique hotel. It is eco friendly. The hosts are happy to share information about the local area. We only had two nights here but we were made to feel right at home. The hotel was great value and the area is well worth a longer visit.

This bed-and-breakfast goes above and beyond the call of duty in every way. The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very, very clean, and very well appointed. It is also the most eco-friendly room that we have ever stayed in in our lives. The beds are large and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely amazing We cannot say enough about this bed-and-breakfast. We would stay here 1000 times over.

Great B&B

Great breakfast in a comfortable eating area with homemade items including cakes. Friendly, knowledgeable proprietor Riccardo who also does interesting guided tours of the salt flats (recommended). Our room was slightly dated and tired but had a great view out of the window. Overall we very much enjoyed staying at Al Ponticello. We travelled there by train and bus. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from a bus stop. The buses are not frequent (service 331), typically hourly. One can get to the beach (Lido) easily by bus. We went to Lido di Spira which is bus 331 stop 098, approx 30 minutes from Comacchio. Comacchio itself is a quiet village with canals. Has a big supermarket and loads of restaurants. The museum is a must ... allow at least a couple of hours.

Visiting for a local wedding which coincided with the 1st weekend of the annual eel festival. Hosts were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. If we had more time it would have been great to book one of the local trips they offer. Breakfast was great - all the usual continental offerings plus 3 different types of cake each morning...all delicious. Off street car parking was a bonus. Only thing we missed was tea/coffee making facilities in our room. Would definitely recommend staying here if in the area (Comacchio is a 'little Venice' and the nearby Po delta is great for bird watching).

An excellent and professionally run establishment in a quiet position fronting one of the town’s canals and only moments from the town centre. Very clean and well equipped throughout. Our room was huge, with a comfortable bed, and a large ensuite with an efficient shower. A superb breakfast was provided, with automatic refills of our coffee cups! Private car park available at the rear of the building.
We were given a warm welcome by Riccardo and Sarah, the delightful couple who own Al Ponticello.

We arrived at Comacchio during a Sagra (Festival) and several town centre streets were closed to traffic, meaning that we could not follow the directions that we had been sent. Riccardo carefully and patiently talked us in via an alternative route.

Lovely little inn needs stronger AC

Perfectly lovely little inn with great staff, very helpful managers, updated accommodations, very extensive continental breakfast. Only disappointment was that air conditioning was weak. Room never got below about 80F degrees in room - overnight.

It was nice Hotel in the center of Comachio. The obly little downside is the parking situation. If you got a bigger car you should reserve a spot in advance and also tell the personnel that you got a bigger car because the parking space is pretty narrow.

Molto interessante il museo della Manifattura dell'anguilla.

Die Stadt der Aale liegt an kleinen Wasserstrassen und engen Gässchen,
daher mit dem Auto nicht so einfach anzufahren.
Sehr nette Begrüßung in unserem Hotel,
Komfortable Zimmer mit recht großen Badezimmern, etwas aus der Mode,
jedoch sauber und bequem.
Frühstück vielseitig, die jungen Wirtsleute sehr engagiert.
