The rooms are large with classical solid furniture and in good condition although the TV reception was abysmal. The pool is dated and not ideally located but a welcome feature of the hotel. It was difficult to arrange pool towels and the hotel was almost empty most of the time. It is located in a quiet and peaceful part of town next to a small public park and close to the river and night market.

No real issues.
Was strange that there was no kettle in the room, but was told it’s available on request as we checked out.
It’s an older property, but generally was ok.

The higher category hotels in smaller towns in Thailand usually provide a very good experience and service - and this was one of those places. Very spacious, very clean, in a great location (near park, but also close to the town center), very quiet... overall - a place you always wish you had stayed longer.

One Night in Loei

The buffet breakfast with eggs over easy, fried rice and minced pork was delicious! Toast was fluffy and yummy. Coffee was okay. Overall, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property, quaint breakfast area, wonderful and polite workers. The room service we ordered was very tasty. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and like we were family. I cant say enough wonderful things about the staff. They truly made the entire experience considerably better even through a personal experience that was very testing to me. I wish i could give each and every person a warm hug and personal thank you.

Had booked for 6 nights but only stayed for 2. Had to pay to upgrade to a room that was just about bearable. Could not recommend and would not stay there again. Does not look like the photos and is a dark, dreary and very dated hotel.

We booked a suite on the 7th floor and when we got there the front desk said they switched our room to a delux room because they were replacing tile on the 7th floor and didn’t want to disrupt us. They have us complimentary breakfast every morning due to this but the breakfast was less than good.
Not a lot of variety and some English signs but mostly Thai language.

A lot of their dinner menu for western food is far from what western folks eat. The Caesar salad was straight mayonnaise dressing. The pizza and fries are good!

They don’t have towels readily available at the pool, you need to ask for one or bring your own.

If you’re tall, the shower will likely be an issue for you as it was my husband.

Limited water in the rooms and if you need more they charge you- it’s cheap enough but it’s the principal of the matter. You cannot drink the water there- it should be free.

House keeping does not change the sheets when cleaning your room and making your bed. Nothing major but enough to mention.

There is not a lot to do right there in town. Unless you are visiting a local or have things scheduled and drivers lined up, don’t plan on getting much of an experience.

We were visiting locals and even though they said it’s save to walk around, we tried to one night but stuck out like sore thumbs! 2, white Americans who don’t speak the language. We ended up going back to the hotel 10 minutes after being out.

This property seems well taken care of and the rooms are large and comfortable. The bed and pillows are not rock hard like many Thai hotels and the pool is nice.
An added bonus is there is a municipal park with walking/running trails just outside and a playground for younger kids.
Breakfast was delicious and had many choices.
We would definitely stay here again.

For the local area in this hotel is great. As with all chai hotels, the key also operates the power in the room. This is not usually a problem unless it’s 108°F outside and it takes about an hour for your room to cool off. Overall the state was good just wish we could’ve had some way to cool the room off before we got there. I would stay here again. I recommend this property.

Was great then we had to move rooms due to hotel being full, second room we were in had problems with the hit water in shower and a side table fell off the wall and smashed my toe taking off some skin, luckily not the whole toe. It's a great location especially for sat. Night market. Breakfast was also nice.

Beautiful lobby and nearby gardens. Parts of hotel had a bit of a "run down" feel, but overall was a much nicer place than expected. The hotel felt very empty they dates I stayed (November). The room was nice and clean, and the staff were very gracious. Excellent breakfast. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We actually wanted to stay in Chiang Khan for a long weekend but left booking too late and could not get accom. there so stayed 1 night in Loei and commuted. Check-in was fast, friendly & efficient.Our room was HUGE (about 15 x 5 m) and had a nice ambiance with teak furniture. In room safe,tea and coffee making facility, good aircon, comfortable bed and large bathroom all good.The room had an outlook onto a park and was close to walking street. Breakfast was " serve yourself" and the fried eggs and ham were only luke warm -----as I expect in most Asian hotels

4 night stay/ base hotel for area

Spent 4 days here as my girlfriend's family is from a nearby village. There is also a festival in town at this time of the year. Upgraded room is extra large and worth the few dollars more. Room had a balcony overlooking park in rear of hotel. Hotel is in a quiet area but is also used for conventions and large events that can be noisy. (though ended before 11 pm) Restaurant for breakfast is buffet style and is adequate though when crowded the staff is definitely overwhelmed. Bed is comfortable and wifi ok. Large pool is nice, though too cold to use on this visit. The shower is absolutely awful. Hot water quickly turns to cold water and back to hot and no adjustment makes a difference. (There is no tub).....The hotel is impressive on entering but shower and breakfast would have me looking for another choice on my next visit.

Best Hotel in Loei

Visited Loei on several occasions and found it to be a nice and quiet place to stay. The Loei Palace Hotel is in the perfect area and within walking distance to the center of town. The front desk staff and housekeeping were all so nice. I'll stay here exclusively in the future.

Loei Palace is a Great Place!

Great multi-lingual staff here.The rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are western style with a separate shower stall. Restaurant meals either Asian or Western cuisine are excellent, breakfast lunch or dinner. Car park is convenient and has plenty of room. As has previously been referenced the room furnishings and bathroom fixtures are somewhat worn and dated. A remodel is definitely needed. Swimming pool is a very nice and a good place to spend some down time. WiFi can be slow and sporadic at times. The park like setting around the hotel is very tranquil and beautiful. Overall a great place to stay and a great value, too!

A Good Value Hotel in an un-interesting City

I had a 2 night stay with my wife while she was occupied at Loei University. Hotel is easy to find and well located a little away from the main street. Check-in was efficient and we were upgraded to a deluxe room (adjacent to the excellent swimming pool) at no extra cost. The hotel is not new and the room was large and well furnished but a little bit "tired". The bathroom was large and had a large bath in it (hooray!!!} although the surface was deteriorated and needed resurfacing. Plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate for foreignors (not many of us there) although the fried eggs were cold ----like so many hotels in Thailand----but Asian breakfast quite extensive. I wanted a Thai massage and although there is no facility in the hotel for this reception organised a massage in our room at a very reasonable rate. Value for money is good and I would definitely stay there again.

Hvis du bestiller spaghetti Carbonara så er det lavet på forskellig måde alt efter hvilken kok der er på job
Værelserne er ok bruser er fint jeg er 2 meter skal buk mig lidt eneste minus er de ved de er det største i byen og kun 2 med pool så prisen er meget høj og weekend eller højtid der bliver delux lige til 1700b normalt 1000b

Das Hotel liegt relativ zentral, trotzdem ruhig und an schöner Aussichtslage.
Die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig bemessen und soweit sauber. Das Hotel sowie Inventar weisst zum Teil doch recht intensive Gebrauchsspuren auf.
Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Der Pool ist sehr gross und lädt zum Schwimmen ein.
Das Frühstück ist typisch thailändisch, aber gut.
In diesr Region wahrscheinlich eines der besten, wenn nicht das beste Hotel.
Sehr gutes Preis Leistung Verhältnis.
Kann es durchaus weiterempfehlen.
