My stay at the S Hotel was wonderful - the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was always clean. The pool and hotel grounds were well maintained. Food was good and appreciated getting choices of Jamaican entrees. The beach was clean and I was always able to get a nice spot with chairs and umbrella. Special thanks to the staff at the Cafe who were always helpful and kind. I am definitely going to stay at the S Hotel on all my trips back to Montego Bay!

The hotel is nice but it’s not so luxurious!
Something about the room looked dated the furniture was cheap. There was no wow factor. The lobby is nice and the food was great. We had a relaxing spa session. Kayla at the front desk is a jewel. The drinks were delicious and strong! All the staff were terrific and just so pleasant and attentive. We will return!!!

The hotel and staff was nice however we found ourselves having to call the front desk several times for towels and the remote would not work. The remote was replaced and the replacement worked when it wanted to. My ocean view room was more of an Ocean peek.
The food selection was limited and not as good as I expected from reviews but some items were better than other resort food I’ve had. Loved the location as it was close to the airport and shopping is within walking distance
This is not a party resort which I knew but I did expect to see more in the area of activities and entertainment.

Heads up people the s hotel is indeed a hotel so its much smaller, hence the s stands for small, than your average resort. So it definitely has its pros and cons. Pros being everything is pretty easy to locate and fast to get to. You can literally get anywhere in or on the hotel property in 5 minutes or less. With that being said you can utilize basically every part of the s hotel every day with ease! The food was far better tasting than most food I've had at bigger resorts as well for sure! The breakfast , lunch, and dinner buffet are amazing and the food selection is great! Its more of a laid back chill hotel. Great for couples! Great friendly staff and no pressures into buying time shares my entire stay as well! Cons being no eating on the beach drinks are fine tho. Not much entertainment thru out the day. If so most of it ending no later than 10-11pm. So if the weather is bad you kinda have to stay indoors with very little to do. Seeing that 90% of the entertainment is outdoors. Long stays 5 or more days may become a bit boring if you dont have any excursions or anything outside of the hotel planned. Another con is rooms are pretty small unless you stay in one of the most expensive rooms they have to offer. Overall the s hotel was a pretty nice stay and I would stay again but not during the rainy season. I would rate the place 8.5 out of 10!

Food was 10 out of 10!! Especially the Roots Rock Restaurant! That whole Escovitch fish was delicious! I’ve never been to an all inclusive resort that had such good food. After speaking to the chef of that restaurant I found out things are not mass cooked bc they are a smaller resort and she is cooking like she cooks for her family. So the guests are getting authentic Jamaican food! What resort has oxtail at their buffet?? And good oxtail at that! The spa was great as well my daughter and I had nice services done there. The beach is private and no one is allowed to sell you anything. The resort gets you chairs and drinks. Excellent!!

The aesthetics of the room and the whole property was amazing. The cultural pictures, statues and artwork was exceptional. The artist did an amazing job. The staff was very hospitable and treated you like family. The restaurants were top of the line but the buffet was 10/10 with variety of food and also the taste!
The entertainment provided was excellent but now we get to the pools and the access to doctors cave beach ……,will definitely be back soon !!

The resort provided an overall positive experience, with standout strengths in its restaurant offerings and amazing beach. The dining options were diverse and of high quality. However, guests should be aware that reservations are required in advance due to limited dinner hours (6:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
The dining experience varied across restaurants. At Rocksteady (dinner on May 24, 2026), the service was notably disappointing. The assigned waitress displayed inattentive and unprofessional behavior, including slamming plates, abruptly clearing dishes, and offering minimal communication beyond taking orders.
In contrast, dining at Roots Café was highly enjoyable since staff were attentive, welcoming, and created a much more positive atmosphere. The buffet has many options and refreshing smoothies at the cafe.
The restaurant reservations and excursion booking process presented some challenges. The staff member (Chantelle) responsible for coordinating these services is located in the café. She appeared disengaged and provided limited assistance. When asking about excursion options, guidance was minimal, with instructions to take photos of laminated pamphlets rather than receiving detailed recommendations or support.

I had an awesome stay at the S Hotel Mobay! The location is excellent, very close to the airport, making arrival and departure incredibly convenient. It’s also just a short drive to local favorites like KFC and Juici Patties. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive.

An amazing hotel with wonderful staff from the concierge, restaurant manager, tour guide. I wish the front desk staff didn’t prioritize the beige guest over the brown guest. Rooms should be available basic on first come first serve not on color.
I had a great time and I can’t wait to return to this wonderful and beautiful hotel.
The food is AMAZING especially the jerky wraps and sauce. All the restaurants were beautiful and good. The staff really make you feel warm and welcoming.

Traveled here with a group for my friend's birthday and had an amazing time! That ocean view balcony is worth the few extra dollars so go for it! The beach is is so clear and refreshing and it's steps away from the pool. There were plenty of chairs, cabanas and lounging chairs to relax. This is def a great place to come when you need to unwind, enjoy a wide variety of delicious food, and interact with the staff who are so kind and helpful and provide really great entertainment and fun activities. I will def be coming back! Thanks for a memorable experience!

If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort with good food, great massages, strong drinks, beautiful views, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere, this is definitely one to consider.

The food was surprisingly good for an all-inclusive, with plenty of options throughout our stay. Was every meal five-star quality? No, but a lot of it was genuinely very good.

The spa was a highlight. The massages were amazing, and we received 25% off spa services through Expedia.

The atmosphere is clean, beautiful, and laid-back. This is more of a couples resort than a party resort, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The drinks were strong, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent throughout our stay.

The pool and beach were both great. There was a DJ during the day, live entertainment at night, and attentive pool and beach service. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and service were included, and the water was clear and beautiful.

One of the best perks is the location, only 7-10 minutes from the airport.

I would not personally recommend this resort for families with younger children who want lots of activities, as it is geared more toward adults and couples. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though non-oceanfront rooms may hear some street noise and oceanfront rooms may hear evening entertainment.

The resort lacked night time entertainment. I would have loved to see beach parties and parties on the patio area. I would go back for a relaxing vacation. Also, Montego Bay will always be special to me now because it’s where I got engaged. We didn’t really know what to expect, but had such a wonderful time at this property! If your objective is beach and pool time, with good food and drinks, this is the perfect resort for you! If you’re looking for lots of activities and things to do aside from beach and pool, you may want a larger property as this is a very chill place, and super relaxing, but not a lot to do. The beach is spectacular - no seaweed, and absolutely stunning! Food was good - restaurants that required reservations were above average for sure! You can email the hotel prior to arriving to make reservations in advance. Buffet restaurant was fine, but not amazing. Beach grill had a small menu, but the jerk chicken is stellar. Drinks are a heavy pour, and they do offer top shelf alcohol (Tito’s, Grey Goose, Jameson’s). The Irie spa hydrotherapy now charges guests $17 a person for a half hour of use. We did it most days as it was really nice to end the day like that. Make sure to bring a few hundred USD in small bills for tipping! All in all, this is a recommended resort by our family, if you’re looking for a very relaxed vibe.

From the moment we pulled up to the front entrance of S Hotel, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff greeted us with a nice cold towel and a drink of our choice, professionalism, and attentiveness that we instantly felt welcomed and valued. Every detail throughout our stay reflected excellence — from the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel to the beautiful atmosphere and outstanding customer service.

I was not aware that because I did not get the oceanfront view that I would not have a balcony maybe mishap on my part, but I haven’t been to an Island. There was not a balcony. I understand the room without a view of the ocean, but a room without a balcony , I did not enjoy . I also did not enjoy being closed off from the beach after 9 PM ! Lastly, for my five day visit, I never saw the main pool treated. The water was very cloudy.

The beach and pool areas were beautiful. All staff were very friendly, polite and respectful. Food was above average. Our room balcony overlooked the pool and beach. Staff provided activities during the week (bingo, trivia, water aerobics, rum tasting, coffee tasting, mixology). The policy of the hotel lists no children under 8. There were a few children under 8 at the resort. This resort is great for a relaxing vacation. Beach is short, cannot go for a long beach walk. No bicycling. There is a small gym. Not a partying resort.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! Although we originally planned for four nights, we had to leave after three due to an emergency and fly back to the States.

The staff overall were wonderful. We especially loved the courtesy and service from the buffet restaurant team—they were warm, attentive, and truly made our dining experience enjoyable.

That said, the service at the Jamaican and Italian restaurants could use some improvement. The servers there seemed disengaged, almost as if they were tired or having an off day. There wasn’t much energy or friendliness, and at times it felt like we didn’t really matter. Thankfully, we didn’t let those moments take away from the joy of our trip.

A special shoutout to Trishina at the front desk for making our check-in smooth and pleasant. She was so polite and kind—and what stood out most was that she remembered my name (“Mrs. Amoh”) the next day when I came by with a question.
That was such a thoughtful touch.

They have activities for everyday. Some you’ll need to pay for it, though this is an “all inclusive hotel” Airport shuttle was 15 dollars each way for us.

Overall, I’d rate this hotel an 8.5/10. Despite a few minor issues, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

The Positive:
The staff was amazing. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Make sure to take cash to tip them, they worked very hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. The food was great. We booked via email ahead of time and had reservations every night. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Even the food at the pool bar was good. The water at the beach is crystal clear. There is also lots of fish and creatures in it to see. There are small reefs just off shore so if you have gear you can snorkel right off the beach. There are chairs/umbrellas they will set up for you. The shade under the tree is the best spot. Waitresses take drink orders on the beach all day and are quick back and forth from the bar. There are shops just outside the hotel for extra items.

The negative: The bathroom is open to the bedroom. No wall or door between them. For a family with a teenage daughter this was awkward. There is curtain you can pull down but it did nothing to block sound so if someone got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you could hear it. I suppose for couples this isn’t a big deal but if you go as a family it’s a little odd. The beach is connected to a public beach club. This is also where the cruise ships drop people off so it gets pretty busy. Bc of that there is a lot of trash that people just leave at the end of the day the hotel has to try and clean up, but a lot is left on the beach club side and gets blown around.

The room and the view makes it worth it! You must see the sunset on the rooftop and they have the best beach clean however it is by a public beach which can get really loud and busy. Food was okay just very limited options and sadly the jerk hut near pool not so good food. Pool was nice never to busy, rooftop pool very small. No real daily activities so can make the day feel a little flat. Tried the spa half the packages are out so you can’t actually use those other pools. Near the hip strip so lots of things you can get to pretty fast. Overall the hotel is pretty underwhelming but I would go back just maybe with a partner not with family.

Its a comfortable hotel small boring food is ok for all inclusive close to the airport staff is nice nothing really overwhelming besides the great beach, Top hotel in Montego Bay is flase advertising, if you smoke dont go here its impossible to smoke here its clean rooms have a good view of the property an crystal clean beach waters..

Everything about this boutique hotel was amazing! The small property and the relatively low number of guests made this particular location better for us! No children! Definitely recommend upgrading to a Sky Suite! Can't wait to return!

Check-in took a bit longer than expected, small little mishap with my room but it was resolve immediately. I must say eveything else was PERFECT! The property was clean, my room was beautiful and clean, the staff were amazing everyone was so friendly. The daily food of choice was always on point. The drinks could be a little stronger but overall I had an amazing time at the S hotel and would go back there every single time and would definitely recommend it to others. Big thanks to the entire staff u guys rock!!

The hospitality of the warm & friendly staff, the prime location on Dr. Cave’s Beach and one of the best dining we’ve experienced at an all inclusive make this resort a must while considering Mobay. We love Jamaica and just discovered one more reason to return!
