We had a wonderful stay at this charming lakeside inn. Stephanie was the perfect host—she greeted us warmly from the moment we arrived and made us feel right at home throughout our visit.

The Saucy Willow Inn, at 143 years old, is full of character and history. It has been beautifully renovated over the past few years, blending modern comforts with its original charm and thoughtful details. The property itself is expansive, peaceful, and absolutely gorgeous, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Our room was spotless and very comfortable (the mattress was wonderful!) In the morning, we enjoyed delicious freshly baked scones and coffee for breakfast (other options offered included bagels, eggs, overnight oats and smoothies). What a lovely way to start the day!

If you're looking for a quiet getaway with exceptional hospitality (and only 1.5 hours from Toronto) the Saucy Willow Inn is a fantastic choice. We will be back again soon!

We had a great time here, Stephanie and Dave made us feel at home, from welcoming us in, taking pictures of us without us having to ask them, a celiac friendly breakfast, water sports and friendly fellow visitors! Such a beautifully restored home on a tranquil lake - just what we needed! Stephanie and Dave were friendly, helpful hosts who are proud of their property and the details show how much they love this place! The room was lovely and very comfortable. Lots of variety for breakfast - fresh made scones, fruit, variety of breads, smoothies and more. We enjoyed sitting out by the water - canoes, SUPs, kayaks and paddelboats and campfire available. Wrap around porch allowed lots of places to enjoy a drink or game with others or by yourselves. They've thought of everything - blankets and propane fire tables on the porch, well-maintained pool table, bicycles and more! Vintage decor paired with modern comfort. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

Very occasionally you come across a special place that will stay with you forever. Saucy Willow is that. Beautiful setting and gardens, house that is tastefully and lovingly renovated. The rooms are great, super comfy beds, powerful shower, fridge. Breakfast was plentiful and filled us up (thanks Dave for packaging scones for us to take away).
All the small touches show the care that Stephanie and Dave have for their guests - a fire by the river in the evening, beach towels for after swimming, ear plugs for light sleepers (the only noise is that of the countryside), a game of scrabble in the lounge.
We cannot recommend the Saucy Willow enough - we will be back.

Gorgeous property that I am glad I found. With last minute booking they were SUPER helpful and extraordinarily lovely. The Inn was nicely decorated, our bed super comfortable and the grounds were well looked after. They had just finished a new event space which looks lovely. I am really reserved about giving Saucy Willow a review it deserves. My reason is purely selfish………..

I really don’t want people to know about this hidden gem.

We did a last minute booking unfortunately only one night I wish it could have been longer.

Every aspect of the stay was fantastic. The property the room the surrounding and most importantly the people. You could not have asked for a friendlier lot. We were made to feel welcome and like we were long time friends popping in to visit.

Charming getaway and lovely hosts. Relaxing location. Amazing room. One negative, Their main property says adults only. But cottages also on property had kids. Love kids but was looking forward to a quiet place with no kids running around. The adults only reason was was why we selected it. And laid that fee. It was disappointing to experience the noise when we were just looking to relax.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay while we were picking our daughter up from camp. Our only regret is that we didn't book it for a week! Stephanie and David do an incredible job of customer service and thoughtfulness at their Inn. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable mattresses and pillows along with top quality linens. The property has paddle boards, pedal boats, and kayaks available for you to take out along with life jackets. There are Adirondack chairs by the water and multiple places to have a fire. We are planning our trip already for next year when we take our kids back to camp. Highly recommend!

My wife stayed here for two nights, it was our first time staying with Dave and Stephanie. We picked this place initially because of the 10 rating and the comments.

We were extremely impressed and will be back.

Our stay started with a tour by Trevor who has done the renovations to this old home and he has done an incredible job.

We enjoyed the paddle boats, the water front, the night time fires, the breakfast and particularly the way Dave and Stephanie make you feel as welcomed guests.

I should also mention they also have cottages, complementary canoes and kayaks and just down the street you can rent a boat or jet ski.

We definitely look forward to returning.
