I had a room with a lovely view of a little harbor. I specifically got a room with a balcony (neither the balcony door nor the window would open). The walls are paper thin, very noisy, including hearing loud jazz music coming from the lobby the entire night. Fortunately, I brought headphones and fell asleep after I put them on.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Will definitely be back.
The only complaint was one day whoever cleaned the room didn’t restock it with some of the bathroom linens, bath salts for jetted tubs, and coffee/tea, and did not change out the dirty coffee cups/wine glasses. But the front desk immediately rectified the problem with sincere apologies. She said “all of that is supposed to be done”
We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are advertised as having \"private hot tubs.\" They are oversized jetted bath tubs, not the same thing. There's no privacy door for the toilet. To the hotel: Please provide a full extra roll of toilet paper if your policy is to leave partially used rolls on the toilet paper holder. Room was cold. Where's the thermostat?

It was all a delight. The room overlooked the Harbor, Fireplace and 2 not 1 chair to sit back and enjoy. A soaking tub with a view and custom bath salts added to the delight. They did not miss a beat with fresh cream in the fridge for the coffee. The dinner menu offered many choices in a relaxed atmosphere. From check in to the restaurant the staff was attentive and professional.

I tried chatting with Expedia on day of check in. Very unsatisfied with The Resort at Port Ludlow and hence thereafter - lack of follow up with the live chat with Expedia. I traveled the day of check in 4 hours from Portland into the Puget Sound by car and was very tired at arrival. This place is off the beaten path and had advertised an in resort restaurant and bar. When I was checking in they said the restaurant had closed for some reason at 2 pm. The closest towns with restaurants were 30 minutes north and 30 minutes south. I have dietary restrictions and needs, so this was not good news nor acceptable. After I returned from another hour driving excursion I asked about a gym at the resort and they informed me there wasn't one. 2 strikes. Even with the Expedia discount this place was seriously flawed. I remain truly unhappy with the experience and want to know what Expedia can do for a refund. Beautifully located with walking paths right on the grounds. Our room and the resort itself was clean. Having an end suite, we had a 180 degree view of Port Ludlow. Their in-house restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and fine dining. It was a new menu and delicious. The staff was pleasant and their night front desk man responded to a needed request straight away. Delightful stay.

I didn’t have breakfast so can’t rate. Had the happy hour prixe fixe deal which was reasonably price but frankly not that fantastic but they were short staffed due to a very bad traffic accident on the Hood Canal and the pizza I had tasted like one of the frozen types wi5 way too much sauce and gobs of cheese. The soup - tomato - was fine. And the dessert a chocolate fudge type cake was fine. The price was ok. BUT I loved my room. I wouldn’t come here for the food but the room was divine. King bed, huge room, soaker tub with a view of the harbour and a gas fireplace. MY MAJOR complaint was that the signage to the hotel was almost non existent coming from Port Townsend. There is a crucial junction of 101 South just as you head away from the turnoff to P Townsend and I got totally confused and continued south on 101. I saw the very obvious signs for the routes east, the direction I KNEW I should be heading but THOSE signs mentioned Kingston and FERRIES to Seattle amd Bremerton. But because P Ludlow is a tiny place no mention of it. SO TAKE that exit for ferries you drive through clearcuts for what seems like MILES with nothing but constant traffic and when I almost gave up I saw a tiny sign saying Port Ludlow (but before that the only other sign I saw was for Port Gamble which threw me off). Which was good but I was travelling alone and so locating tiny signs on a road with fast traffic is very hard at my age- 74! Next thing I know I am roaring across the Hood Canal!

This was our 2nd time staying and we were a little distracted this time. We were woken up in the morning to doors slamming shut - not sure if it was staff or other guests. Our stay included a Monday so we also were woken up by the garbage truck making its rounds around the neighbors next door to the resort. Our checkout was done by a staff member who couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact.

We loved the location. It is situated next to a beautiful marina. The hotel is charming, but due for some updates.

We found it to be clean and the staff friendly. We used it as a base camp for Olympic National Park and found it to be pretty accessible (under an hour from the park).

This is the perfect location for a romantic getaway! We were concerned about the room being too warm after seeing reviews that mentioned no A/C but with a ceiling fan and a stand fan our room was perfectly comfortable even with temps in the 80s outside. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. We did not eat at the onsite restaurant at all so can't provide any feedback there. The resort was central to all of the other exploring we did in the area (Port Gamble, Port Townsend, etc.) so we really loved that.

The Port Ludlow Inn is getting a little long in the tooth....The rooms do not have air conditioning and the toilet in our room did not drain.....they also do not have a courtesy bar in the room and the resort bar closes early during the week at 9pm. Next time we'll see if we can find a vrbo....

The woman at the front desk was angry that we had a reservation for some reason and wasn’t sure they had clean rooms- not a great welcome. Hair in the shower.

Amazing hidden gem. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Things we hope improve before then:
- Better/stronger fans or AC in rooms.
- Ensure housekeeping closes windows/blinds for west-facing rooms prior to check-in.
- True blackout curtains or shutters.
- Soft-close shower doors and toilet seat.
- More amenities or things to do. Partner with the Spa in-town. Offer guided tours. Private Dinner on the beach. Etc.
- More food options. The restaurant is really the only choice and the snack options in the lobby are lacking.
- More attentive service in the restaurant. We had to flag servers down and the bartender ended up stepping up when he noticed we had been seated but didn’t get water or service.

Things we loved:
- The views and property. Absolutely beautiful.
- Easy access to beach and water. Really fun looking for critters at low tide.
- Hotel and restaurant staff were all great.
- Food in the restaurant was all very good.
- Hotel is quiet and well insulated from other rooms.

Resort was beautiful and peaceful. We had a spacious room with sitting area and en-suite hot-tub. No A/C, but opening the windows at night and using the ceiling fan kept the room cool. Pleasant view of the marina and mountains in the distance. Coffee and tea in the room, with actual ceramic mugs.

For the money it costs to stay here but, they couldn't find us a \"Do Not Disturb\" door placard or a note pad to write on (the sign in our room said to just ask for one). The shower head was plugged up and white with minerals. The tile grout in the bathroom needed cleaning and the baseboards were falling apart around the tub from getting wet. One of the three blinds was broken so to hold it up you had to wind the cord around a plastic wall cleat. Another window was very hard to secure since the lock had been installed wrong (not a big concern since we were on the 2nd floor). The public restrooms at the marina had fewer cobwebs then around the outside of resort buildings.

Excellent with 2 minor exceptions. Parking spaces were too narrow even for a compact vehicle and in order to have room made up one needs to put tag on outside of door requesting it. Paying for 3 nights it was disappointing to only receive drinking water first day and free drink coupons for 1 day. Place was great other than that

They didn't honor my Expedia price. They tacked on a few more dollars of unexplained taxes, but if I'm told my final bill is supposed to be $326, I expect to pay exactly that and not a dollar more.

Lights from the stairwell shown through our window all night. Enough to disrupt sleep.

Balcony chairs were dirty and uncomfortable. I would expect nice lounge chairs and a table for a balcony that size.

The tub was unpleasantly loud with the jets running, and the bed was slightly unstable.

Great little inn!

I stayed here as a Mom looking for a solo night away to recharge. This was the perfect spot. I stayed in a non-view room with a balcony but it still looked over the harbor. The fireplace and large tub were amazing. The restaurant at happy was a bit overpriced but otherwise cozy and I didn't have to leave the property. I can't wait to come back again with my partner as well as just alone!

Get high at the Resort at Port Ludlow

We arrived at 4pm and our room was not ready. They front desk gave us to coupons for free drinks and said we could wait in the bar.
The hotel had numerous signs saying “no smoking”. When we came out of our room to go for a 20 minute walk, the hall was filled with weed smoking fumes. When we returned, there was still a lot of weed fumes, but further down the hall. Luckily it didn’t enter our room and was gone in a couple of hours.
The room was nice enough. A bit worn. The bed was not comfortable as the mattress was saggy and not supportive. The shower was not comfortable.
