Over priced, you will need a 4X4 vehicle to get to the destination and if not you will get one pick and one drop off included and after that is $30 per drop off and pick up to the hotel, the food was overpriced and not even worth it so is better to bring food from the restaurants around the area, the place is beautiful but you are secluded to the Hotel.

What a gorgeous property! We slept in a super comfortable tree house that was so peaceful. It was the best night's sleep we have had in years. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant was delicious. We cannot wait to go back!

property is great but the way to get there is not easy. there is 2 different way and if you take the wrong one you will be in danger so make sure to get the right one but even that one is not danger but is very difficult to get there.

Beautiful Resort in the Mountains of Paraiso, Dominican Republic. If you are visiting for the first time get the ride provided by the resort it will help you reach the place because you need a good 4x4 vehicle to get there. But it will not disappoint you!!!
Since you arrive the smiles abound with Joanna in the Front Desk-Manager of the property who will let you know about the activities available.
Josie and Jose are the persons Incharged of guiding you in the hiking, tubing and horseback riding very nice and polite.
And Finally the Chef Elvis de La Cruz in the Restaurant will surprise you with delicious meals on a daily basis
Beautiful comfortable cabins, with A/C, hot water and good beds. I will definitely return!!!

The property itself looks nice but the problem is that nobody tells you the reality of the roads to get there, I got lost , sleep in my vehicle, had our lives in dangerous and nobody answered the phone when I called for help. There’s a lack of communication between the staff the works at the property and the staff that organized your stay, they don’t give you a direct number to speak to the staff that is at the hotel. I ask to cancel my reservation after being traumatized by the experience and still haven’t heard back from them.

A paradise isolated

It’s quite an adventure to get there. Need a 4x4 vehicle, once you arrive it’s paradise.
Know that cell signal is very weal and only in the restaurant you will find a weak wifi. So can be isolated form the world a big part of your day
The places lease is amazing and is really eco. Bring a good book and your camera

There are no words to describe the beauty and peacefulness that abound in Platon Ecolodge. Fun for kids, great for adults only as well. Food was great. Staff was friendly. I do hope in the future they decide to provide WiFi as, regretfully, in the modern world one can't go more than a few days without communication. Cell phone service is spotty at best; 3G and only a couple of bars at that.

If you stay here plan to just stay here and not leave. Bring a 4X4 or you will have to pay $30 for the shuttle to take you to your car. We should have stayed only one night to experience the resort and then booked another hotel. We did have A LOT of fun it was relaxing and beautiful. The food was not bad but if you want anything extra you'll be charged. Also nearest store is far so employees will get you extra things you request at a 300 percent mark up. Our bill for the three nights after we paid for our room was almost $300. Service is great and the resort is beautiful. The resort is better for families but it's not inclusive there is a charge for everything.

property located in remote area where you need a 4x4 vehicle to reach to destination , our stay was peaceful and pleasant , staff are very friendly and helpful specially David who was vey cooperative and super helpful we had little issue with hot water but was quickly resolve will visit location again.

Super great, amazing stay!!

Amazing stay. We stayed at the tree house room and we loved it; the decoration, the bed, the bathroom; every thing was super great. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and romantic, great for couples but also for families. The food is so good and the staff is super friendly and nice. We got a couple massage at the river and was super amazing. The prices are super cheap and Overall excellent hotel, everything is more than great. I loved it and would recommend it.

Rancho Platon is an outstanding place in Paraíso, Dominican Republic; I would love going back there. Although, there is room for improvement on information and transportation from the local town to the mountain.

If you like adventure and love to see the non big resort part of the Dominican Republic this is the place. We traveled with our kids 6 and 9. Getting there is part of the adventure and fun they meet you at meeting point in Paraiso town in a 4x4 safari style kind of truck then off you go 30 minutes amazing ride up the mountains. Once you arrive it’s the most serene and relaxing place. If this is what you choose to do but you can also go on hourseback ride further up the mountains. Go tubing down the river go hiking or let the kids loose down the slide. Plenty of activities to do or just read a good book and swing on the hammock while listening to the river and water cascade !!! Love it and can’t wait to come back. Our only regret is that we should of probably stayed at least 3 nights.

The owners are bad to everyone.

This is a long review but it's worth the read. Wow. What a place!!! It was about 2pm so we decided to have lunch at the only restaurant that located at Rancho Platon. We immediately felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. There was a large group of about 15 people. Most were teenagers and about 6 adults. I noticed that about 4 adults had \"Rancho Platon\" shirts. My wife and I sat and ordered drinks. The server was great and asked me if I want to order from the menu or have some food from the buffet. I decided to get food from the buffet and my wife ordered from the menu. After 20 minutes I got up to serve myself from the buffet and I was told I could not get food yet. I was confused but sat down just waited for my wife's food to come out. I noticed the large group get up and serve themselves. A few got a second plate of food. Once they had their food and were done, I was told I was able to get food. For dinner, Once one of the owner came, everything change. The music was turned off and every worker appeared to be stressed. The owner, asked the server why we (my wife and I) were sitting at our own table for dinner. The server said they are having dinner. The owner was unhappy and called the supervisor and screamed at him because we were there. At this point the large group sat down. They got their food and we waited an hour and 30 minutes. After, i spoke to the server and he said i have all the right for being upset. workers said this was not the 1st time the owners have done this.

Beautiful mountain hotel with lots of vegetation and rivers, a relaxed place to spend a couple of days away from crowds. It's even better if you plan to go with family or groups of friends.

Nuestra primera experiencia en un hotel Ecológico y fue excelente. Las actividades de Tubbing, tobogán y hiking fueron muy divertidas y la habitación en el árbol, frente al río, fue extraordinaria.
Definitivamente planearemos volver el próximo año.

Natualmente Bello, pero Arruinado por el dueño

El lugar es naturalmente preciosísimo y las cabañas son muy bonitas y bien construidas, a mi y a mi familia también nos gustó el paseo a caballo y el tubing. Pero las condiciones de las tuallas, sabanas, fundas de almohadas están pésimas. Además, las condiciones de algunas de las estructuras necesitan atención como el bogán/slide y la piscina al lado del área de comer. Ahora. lo peor de todo es el largo y malo viaje para llegar a la propiedad. El camino empedrado, llenos de hoyos, altas y bajas es increiblemente incomodo cruzar esos 7 kilometros que se pueden extender a 45 minutos a una hora si solo es un vehiculo 4 x 4 y alto, de lo contrario nunca llegaría.
Lo peor de todo esto fue la desinformación. En ningún lugar nos enteramos que era tan dificil llegar a ese lugar o que del rancho tenian servicio para buscar a los huespedes. Ellos le dicen eso a uno ya cuando está en el lugar.
Si todo esto lo mejoran volveremos y lo recomendaremos, de lo contrario, todo al que le digamos le vamos a decir lo bueno y lo no tan bueno que vivimos en Rancho Platón.
