The staff are friendly and the so was the owner. The room was very well kept and the kitchen area was welcoming and free to use for coffees and breakfast in the morning. Even been able to use the kitchen for coffee in the afternoon. The car park was also very large and parking was never a issue

The room was spacious and beds were comfy. Everywhere was clean and smelt fresh.

There was a problem with the shower. Lots of water escaped down the hose resulting in lack of water coming out of the shower head. The water alternated between boiling and freezing, making showering difficult.

Other than this, I'd have liked to be able to turn down the room thermostat as it was far too hot.

The kitchen was lovely and a selection of breakfast food available to help yourself to.

I would recommend this place to anyone who goes to Cork. Spacious and quiet. We went with our 15 and 9 years old boys and they didn’t get bored as they had their own beds and plenty of plugs to charge their devices. There’s a telly as well where you can login to your favourite streaming services. Internet is super fast, as you can imagine, that’s another reason why kids were not bored. LOL. The communal kitchen is spacious so if you run into another guest, you won’t have that “awkward moment” where you don’t know where to look at to avoid eye contact. Clean towels, bedding, toilet and kitchen. Minor criticism is that as we were leaving the place, we checked behind the couches just to make sure we were not forgetting anything, we found some rubbish that wasn’t ours and it was old meaning that, that rubbish it’s been there for quite some time so that needs a bit of attention by management and cleaning staff. Don’t worry, you won’t need to bring you “forensic’s equipment” to check the room out! Just something I thought to mention because however small, it is important. If you don’t say anything, it cannot be fixed. The staff was super helpful, one of the nights, I had the keys whilst my husband and kids wanted to go back to the place so they couldn’t get in. My husband contacted the emergency phone number they provided and within FIVE minutes, the manager turned up with a spare set of keys!
Over all, super recommend.

When we arrived the innkeeper was mopping the main area floor and advised us of all the amenities available to us during our stay. She recommended a wonderful seafood restaurant in Cork for our dinner as well. The room was just as we expected from the website. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. It was hot during our stay so she had the window open to ventilate the room. This worked out perfectly and it was not too hot while we slept. We did not use the common room very much as we had early plans the next day and just grabbed a quick breakfast. The fridge was stocked with al sorts of breakfast food for you to use as well as tons of cereal options. These are all available to use during the stay. Overall the stay was excellent and right off the main road, so very easy to find. I would recommend this for a stay if you are anywhere near Cork or traveling Southern Ireland. There is tons of parking and the location has its own gated driveway so it’s very secluded from tourists/traffic.

Check in was very easy with details needed to do this communicated to me via text message - complete with a post code that took us right to the property (sometimes google maps will abandon you close, but not quite there). Room was very spacious with 1 double bed and 2 singles. TV in the room did have netflix and youtube but not prime which did mean we used tablet instead. Wifi had good connection. Sadly the 2 single beds weren't all that comfy, and it sounded like big foot was staying upstairs. Kitchen was a really good size and easy to navigate.

Wow! Moorepark is centrally located to pretty much anything you want to see on a nice day trip. We visited the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin cave in one trip.
We had planned to stay one night but because it was so easy to travel back and forth to different places, we decided to stay five nights and use Moorepark as our home base.
Tricia, the property mgr was extremely informative about the area and where to shop on our down time.
She is very kind and upbeat.
Overall, we will be back and we will tell everyone we know that Moorepark is the place to stay in Fermoy Ireland. What a secluded hidden gem.
Give Tricia a raise!!! Job well done!!!

Overall, there is nothing wrong with this property. It had two bedrooms, a kitchen and dining table. The second bedroom is equipped with a bunk-bed and single bed, so it's well set up for a family of 5.
The grounds outside are very beautiful, but it's a bit of a drive to the town.
My wife and I were there when a major storm was about to hit. There was a Code Orange alert about flooding, very heavy rain and very high winds. We decided to leave after the first day of 4 booked days. We tried to get the management/owner to give us some kind of a refund, because of the weather circumstances, but he wouldn't budge, stating that if he was able to rent it for the remaining 3 days, which he felt was unlikely, given the weather, and country location, he'd refund us some money.
We wouldn't return to this location but it might well suit some other folks.

Trisha, host was very nice, make your own breakfast was included in a shared kitchen, however there was a large group there that had the coffee making and stove in their control, instead we had to settle for fruit and cereal, Trisha gave us water and fruit to go to try and make up for it. There also was a problem with the furnace so we had no hot water for showers. Unfortunately not a good experience. I think we should have been offered a discount but we weren’t

We did not meet Eric upon checkin, we let ourselves in. Ample parking spaces. Allocated Room 3, which was the assessable room. Our overall stay was good, the location was convenient to get to Cork and Head of Kinsale. Very friendly environment as you get to meet the other guests in the dining/kitchen area. You feel at home as breakfast is provided and you are free to cook as well. We eventually met Eric, and Trish, both are super friendly and helpful. I have to make a comment on Room 3 nevertheless - the mattress needs a review, it was worn out! Also, if you are a light sleeper, then Room 3 is not the room for you, as it is directly below another room upstairs with super creaky floorboards! Having said that, I am sure the other rooms are fine and overall we have enjoyed our stay at Moorepark West House and would recommend it.

We utilized the location nearby the motorway for organizing daily car trips in the southwestern Ireland. Despite the near motorway the room is pretty calm, nothing was disturbing. If I had to give a recommendation to the home owner, it would only be to place the soap dispenser directly in the shower or add a storage shelf to it ;-)

Spent 2 nights here at the beginning of June with my family. Clean, comfortable spacious room with private bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was not served but there was plenty of food available and we enjoyed preparing our own food with the other guests. Laundry facilities available which is always a plus! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Trisha was a kind host, providing introduction and tour of facility. We did have an issue with the shower drain being clogged so that was inconvenient. Overall, the home was very clean, the kitchen was well maintained and the type of clientele that this home attracts seemed to be very aware of cleanliness and cleaning after themselves in the kitchen. We felt safe at guesthouse and would recommend to others.

This is a lovely middle ground between a hostel and a b’n’b. If you don’t already know that it’s more of a self service sort of place, that can be a bit disappointing but seeing as I am used to budget traveling, this was amazing! Beautiful home, great concept but very run down. Our host was personable. Old fixtures, shower handles fell off, toilet seats didn’t fit, curtain rods hung sideways, one headboard was crooked and very flimsy. Sheets were old and stained. However, the beds were comfortable.

When we booked our stay, the host Tricia responded right away and gave us great directions in order to find it. She met us when we arrived and showed us around explaining what in the fridge was for guests to make their own breakfast. The room was clean but the beds were a little uncomfortable. The bathroom was a large open shower that became slippery.

The house was easy to find, just off the motorway, but not suitable if you don't have a car. It was nice and quiet. The TV channels weren't great but I didn't use the tv much. I had a big bathroom and the room was spacious. My room was on the ground floor, overlooked by whatever van was parked outside my window so I was conscious of keeping the curtains closed. There was a terrific shared kitchen with everything including an airfryer. The host was friendly and helpful and on balance I was very comfortable. I would use this accommodation again for a business trip. It was reasonably priced and good value.

The property catered for us perfectly. It was the perfect location for us. Room was clean and large. Maybe a little TLC was needed inside but it was fine. The communal kitchen / dining area was very nice and a lovely area to be in. The only strange thing was the DIY breakfast. All the food was provided, but having to cook it yourself felt a little weird. Another guest thought my wife was going to cook for them! Took me a while to work out the oven / grill settings and was running low on milk at one point.
Tricia, the lady taking care of the establishment was lovely, and very friendly. McDonalds close by was useful also if you're staying with children.

I was disappointed overall. My partner and I are an unfussy middle-aged couple who like a cooked breakfast served to us. While there was a decent amount of food, you have to cook it yourself. In fairness, there was fruit and veg and a range of breakfast cereals. Our room (5) on the ground floor was private with a bathroom for our use only. The bed linen was laundered but very dated and wrinkled. The TV was hard to get working. The handke if the window was broken. Tricia was in touch early and as helpful as she could be, but this place is almost impossible to find. Why not say, simply: 'Head for the technical college gates and turn right immediately, then first right again?' All in all, this is not a B&B as commonly understood and is overpriced, so we would not be hurrying back.

This is NOT your typical Bed and Breakfast. The private bathroom was not attached to our bedroom; we had to go out of our room and upstairs. Breakfast is NOT made for you but you can help yourself to what's in the fridge and cook your own meal. It was hot and humid, the a/c wasn't working in our room. We could hear all the other guests. We only had one old fashioned key for the room and the only way to lock it while inside the room, was with the key. So when one of us left to go upstairs to the bathroom we had to pick if we were locking the others inside the room where they can't get out or if we were leaving it unlocked where others could easily enter.

They don’t make meals but you can go near by to restaurants or bring in what you want. We liked that. After two weeks of eating out, we were ready to relax, make a nice meal.

This was a really comfortable stay. The large \"house\" has lots of en-suite bedrooms, plus a huge communal kitchen/dining/living room. Our en suite room was clean and the beds really comfy. We had a great shower.

Tricia, the on-site House Manager, greeted us on arrival and showed us where everything was. In the communal room breakfast foods are all provided - cereal, bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, juice, fruit...plus eggs, bacon and sausages, and you just get up when you want and make any kind of breakfast that you want (we often cooked sausages and scrambled eggs). You can also store some of your own foods in the fridge and cupboards.

You can sit on the sofas, or at the dining room tables, or just head back to your own private (with key) room. The other house guests were always friendly, some wanting to chat, and orhers keeping to themselves. Tricia keeps the whole house immaculate, and is always on hand if you need anything.

We found it to be a great way to stay, as we loved the \"self-catering\" part, which saves the time and cost of having to find a restaurant each day. Thanks very much.

I was very disappointed with my stay here. The directions to the house were not very clear. I received a text msg telling m which was my room, on the left upstairs, (I had requested a wheelchair accessible room because I have mobility issues) and there was no one there to greet me though the door was open and I let myself in.
The bedroom was a comfortable size but the sheets and pillowcases were very wrinkled, not ironed. The duvet cover though a dull unpleasant brown colour was ironed but I had to trust that it had been freshly washed. There were no pillow protectors on the quite old pillows and one was particularly pilled.
No soap in bathroom dispenser, towel rail off the wall and in a corner of bathroom floor, no anti slip mat in shower, (I had to use one of the floor mats) (it was a very nice shower, good water pressure),. The smaller hand towel had two grey stains on it.
Fortunately I spent very little time there, if I had had another option I would have left after checkin . The velux window had a blind that wouldn't stay down so waking at 5.30am was the end of my sleep.
I thought I had left my bracelet behind and went back to check whether I had inadvertently wrapped it up in the duvet. It wasn't there but what I saw confirmed my decision never to recommend the place. The pillow cases had been stripped off, I didn't see the sheet but the duvet had just been turned over so the side that lay against my skin was now on the outside. Uggh!

The place was very convenient for our drive from the Ring of Kerry on our drive back to Dublin. The estate is beautiful, surrounded by green gardens and lovely trees. The host was very responsive and helpful!

Our host Tricia was truly excellent. After a warm welcome and all the makings of a delicious breakfast we discovered the hot water wasn't working. Tricia quickly jumped into action offering us options before setting us up with heaters until she fixed the issue. Tricia was efficient, friendly and hilarious and the family room was spacious and comfortable. It really was a lovely start to our holiday.

The friendly staff was the single most memorable feature but the casual, comfortable atmosphere in the separate dining and lounging area was exceptable and very enjoyable.

Very nice and friendly owner. Able to use kitchen facilities which is very nice. Around the property there isn’t much in the way of restaurants but that was okay because of the access to a full kitchen.

The bed was the most comfortabke bed ive ever sleot in...the shower wasnt great as water was boiling couldnt control water ended up running out onto the kitchen. I informed i was celiac and there was no breads not a big deal no mushroom, no tomato only rashers and eggs ....gf sausages and pussings in all aldi and lidl at the minute . I found a very strong smell in the apt. When we checked in but it didnt last.

A beautiful property, looks like a new-build and very spacious and well kitted out.
It’s very difficult to find so it could do with some signage from the main road, they apparently have the signs, just not put them up yet!
What stood out for me was that I was shown everything that I needed to make my own breakfast! There was tons of food for a fry up, and plenty cereals etc it was just weird to have to make my own. Might be worth checking that this is normal policy.
Otherwise an excellent stay.

This was our first time in a hostel and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. All supplies for an Irish breakfast were provided.

Nothing like the photos advertised! Very disappointed as the photos are very misleading. We were told we would have a private bathroom but we didn’t have a bathroom in our room at all! It was a shared bathroom all the way upstairs! Terrible!
