My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room to one with an ocean view- it was the most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were wonderful.
The restaurant was incredible and the staff were so attentive and helpful.
Would definitely stay here again!

Restaurant / bar very limited hours, breakfast had to be pre ordered via WhatsApp and was not buffet style, and very limited to cold options only, took a long time to be brought to us some mornings we sat for nearly half an hour before being acknowledged at all.
Hotel room was not in the hotel it was a short walk away further down the mountain and didn’t feel very safe as the road was very narrow and very busy most if the time, there were many steps up and down to get too and from the main hotel, the “room” was small and basic, the amenities in the room were non existent, included were a few paper cups a kettle, a few tea bags and cartons of refillable water. No iron, no cups, etc. no laundry facilities on site if you need laundry they send it out at a charge, public transport is not reliable as too many people try to use it so the bus is always full, and transport is definitely needed at this hotel as there is nothing close and Amalfi is 20-30 min drive away down the mountain with very treacherous roads, the hotel will arrange transport but the cost is extra at around 70-80 euros each way, a vehicle is definitely needed at this hotel

I enjoyed the location of Bacco Furore. For a motorcycle trip of Italy, it was nice to be in close proximity to Amalfi and Positano, but away from the action somewhat. The only fjord in Italy is worth the visit. However, there are fewer restaurants in this are, with very few within walking distance. Having a motorcycle was valuable. The listing for this property (Diffuso) is somewhat misleading—we booked a room with a sea view and a balcony, but received a room with vaulted ceilings and small windows with no private balcony. While acceptable, it was disappointing. The hotel is in a quiet area with easy parking, and the restaurant in the main hotel for breakfast in the morning was lovely. The restaurant service staff were very welcoming. However, the front desk staff were cold and unaccommodating when we shared our disappointment with the room. Hospitality of the FOH staff could be improved, but overall our stay was enjoyable.

The place is wonderful, with comfortable rooms and an unbeatable view. Furore is an excellent place to explore the Amalfi Coast if you're driving, as it's halfway between the most popular spots and you can reach it quickly from Naples. What stands out most about this hotel is the staff, especially Fernando, who makes coffee with a lot of love. The restaurant is also very good, with moderate prices. I recommend this accommodation.

Amazing time from start to end. Beautiful views, comfortable room. Great balcony. All the reasons you visit the Amalfi coast without the premium price. It’s about 20 minutes away from the city center but the views and service more than made up for it. We had dinner and breakfast included with our stay. It was a lovely spread. Amazing hotel.

Room was very clean and was serviced every morning. The view was breathtaking. The staff were also kind enough to give us a free upgrade.

We tried nearly every item on the menu and they were all delicious. Although watermelon was not on the menu, the staff did provide that and it was very tasty. All the fruits are very fresh.

Location was a bit challenging as the hotel is located in the middle of a mountain. Google Maps was not helpful in getting us to our destination and we had to walk a rough 20 minute patch with all of our luggage through the mountain using very steep stair cases and going through peoples backyards. When going to Amalfi, taxis are very expensive and only the 5080 bus comes to the hotel. The bus can be packed which means you have to wait in the heat until the next bus. Bus drivers don't sell tickets and there is no signal upon exiting the hotel. It would be great if the hotel started selling bus tickets.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Amalfi and Positano.

Lovely hotel with great views and a lovely restaurant. Our breakfasts were the highlight of the stay. The only thing worth mentioning - our phones did not have service in the room and the WiFi was out of wack a lot of times (but apparently it happens often in the area). Staff is always available to help out with anything and ordered us taxi from and back to the Naples. Great experience.

She just so pleasant and attentive. I even got a nice friendly hug from her. She is the best. Couldn’t ask for anything more. When we go back to Italy I’d definitely go back to Albergo Diffuso Bacco Furore.

Staff was the best, property was confusing to get to and has very limited parking, which is understandable given the location. Rooms were ok needed some dusting, full of mosquitos and other small insects, knob to turn on shower fell off, fridge wouldnt cool… little things like that. Again the staff was great, very personable and attentive its just too bad the hotel is not up to the same level.

A little too far off the beaten path. Buses don’t always pick you up/have room so only way to travel to amalfi/positano is by taxi which is priceyyyyyy. Wouldn’t recommend. Not many food options or things to do nearby. Some staff felt a bit sneaky when giving us pricing for taxi/etc and was often different when we went directly to source. Would recommend staying closer to one of the bigger cities. Overall would have been okay with not going to amalfi coast at all.

In a nutshell, we regretted staying here and wished we had stayed literally anywhere else. Also, none of the photos you see are were we actually were placed. Photos look nice. This REALLY wasn't.
Before arrival, someone reached out since they have many properties & needed to be sure we went to the right one/had someone greet us. Seemed nice. However when we arrived, it was extremely confusing where to go. There were 2 other hotels in that small area, and I was never told the name of the hotel so I didn't know where to go. When we DID get in touch with someone to check us in, they took our passports to make copies and just put them in a drawer and became upset/rude when I asked for them back later.
After checking us into a bare basics room that only had towels and some soap, I had to go ask for the wifi password because there was no info on ANYTHING in the room. Literally just walls, a door, and beds.
I asked for the wifi password and a restaurant worker came so close to me he leaned the front of his body against me, rudely took my phone from me and put in the password. It was extremely uncomfortable making me feel unsafe to be there. In the end no one gave us the right password and it wasn't until I got a screen recording of connecting to the wifi that I learned they were giving me the WRONG ONE! On top of that, the wifi didn't even reach the room so no wifi the whole time. Stood out in the cold for wifi when critical. terrible hospitality, sketchy room, poor amenities.

The staff are really wonderful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Simone and Maria in particular were so kind and incredibly helpful. The restaurant food was wonderful and the ricotta at breakfast was delicious, probably the best I've ever had. The only thing to know before you book is that the dependence room is about a 10 minute walk away from the main restaurant & breakfast area.

Nice hotel, but not convenient for Amalfi coast

The room itself had great views that were spectacular. We had two issues with this hotel, #1 the air conditioning didn't work and we were there during a heat wave in late June, 2019. #2, This hotel is a bit remote and not feasibly within walking distance to any restaurants (other the the hotel). We had a car, and the hotel advertises on site parking, but when we asked the front desk receptionist what to do if there were no spots available, she suggested we park in Amalfi and take a taxi. Amalfi is over 30 minutes away!

This is a delightful find. Hotel Bacco is up the side of the mountain looking out over the Mediterranean Sea. This is a great place to get away and relax. The food is delicious, staff friendly/helpful and rooms comfortable/unpretentious. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Transportation-Unless you plan to rent a car or a private driver, getting to and from the hotel is a bit challenging. Going down to the coast for the day, you can take the public bus. The bus is inexpensive and the drivers are amazing navigating the roads. The buses do not run frequently so the bus does get crowded with standing room only.

The staff (reception, waiters, baristas, cleaners, drivers) were all very helpful and friendly. We felt at home from the beginning. The view of the sea was magnificent from the balcony in our room. We also enjoyed looking at the vineyard. The place was so serene and peaceful. The cooking class that I attended was worth it since we prepared 4 dishes and I got to eat them for lunch with my husband. The food in the restaurant were all delicious and the waiters clearly explain the ingredients - everything local and fresh. The breakfast which was already included in our stay was superb. Excellent experience!

Hotel Bacco - a proper little gem in the hills

Up in the hills about 6km from Amalfi, Bacco is a wonderful hotel. Everyone on the team is so friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. If you want cafes and other restaurants on the door step, it's not for you but there is an excellent bus service running by the hotel down into Amalfi and up to Agerola. Fantastic walks in the hills and breathtaking scenery. We would stay there again in a heart beat.

Our stay at Hotel Bacco was nothing short of amazing. Pay a few dollars more for the ocean view. So worth it to wake up in the mornings to the stillness of the water! The room was clean and quaint. The shower is small, but that is minor. Reception was fabulous and very helpful.
The hotel is a 30 min bus ride from the center of Amalfi. It is very curvy and busses can be scary with how close they get, but we did not have any issues other than planning our day around the bus schedule as they only run about every 30-45 min. Busses are the easiest way of transportation around the coast. I do not recommend a taxi (expensive) or renting a car (curvy narrow roads). Bus tickets are only 1.30 euro one way. The bus stop will drop you right off at the hotel, so that is convenient! It was never really crowded either, we always had a seat.
Breakfast was delicious, and comes with an incredible view! Hotel Bacco made our stay on the coast so lovely and I can't wait to return one day!

Bacco was the most amazing hotel during our vacation! Amalfi is expensive as it is, but Bacco is a hidden gem! It’s located about 20-25 mins from the center of Amalfi and has the most amazing view in Amalfi! Everything from the window view in our room to the daily breakfast that was included: this place was beyond our expectations. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is very clean! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a pleasant stay with a view :)

We stayed here for 6 nights over Easter and used it as a good base to explore the local area. The rooms are a good size and come with incredible views overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly throughout our stay and the food was great as well. The hotel having a car park was also a big plus in the area.

The hotel belongs to the family owing the winery next door. Food and wine at the restaurant is really good.
Laetitia is such a nice lady and gave us a lot of tips of places to visit nearby.

The rooms are very old fashion (70s/80s style) and it could do with a renovation. Otherwise, everything is clean and the seaview is awesome.

Amazing sea view room & friendly staff

We loved our stay at this hotel. Very hospitable staff who advised us on places to visit and the most efficient way of getting there. View from our room was like a picture postcard. Breakfast was plenty, full of variety and local fresh produce eg honey comb, cakes, breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, juices and quality coffee. The hotel is in the Michelin Guide book and has 'Bib Gourmand' status - well deserved. The bus stop outside the hotel is very convenient for visiting the Amalfi Coast and other connecting destinations. The winery carved into the rock and vineyard across the road is well worth a visit. The hiking trail 'Path of the Gods' is only 1-2km away. This 9km hike from Bomerano to Positano is not to be missed with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast from every angle. There is free parking onsite, a welcomed bonus in an area where space is a premium. The staff even gave us beach towels to use at no extra charge. Loved our stay at this friendly family run hotel ❤️

Below standard room. Felt like a flat in the neighbourhood. Definately not felt in a hotel. Definately not good for romantic getaway.
View from room was poor, mentioned we got the best room, not at all what shown in picture.
Location is very bad. There is nothing arround, felt abandon place and area. Far away from the beach area.
We prepaid for 3 nights when eventually left the place the next morning knowing there is no refund and the owner did not even offer any compensation. Very very bad experience.

The hotel ia almost at rhe top of the mountain so be prepared for a long and windy ride up and down an extremely narrow road to Amalfi. Book a bus for 3 euro rather than taking public bus. Well worth the extra 1.70 euro cost. Very nice reatauranrt with great breakfast buffet. Dinner was delicious although a bit pricey. All in all a very nice 5 night stay.

Lovely place hidden away in Furore. If you have a car, I would recommend Furore as an ideal base to see the rest of the coast, being a tranquil little place that offers respite from the crowds and chaos of the main towns.

The hotel was perfect, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food in the restaurant, clean rooms, spectacular views. Couldn't ask for more.

One of things that stood out was the restaurant and the knowledge of the waiter. Upon enquiring about a bottle of wine he began to reel off a wealth of information that caught me completely by surprise, a pleasant surprise still!

I will definitely be back.

Great hotel with great view

Very nice staff and very clean hotel. Awesome views of the water and coast line. Parking was nice to have as we drove in for our stay. Lastly, the restaurant was very good and has a wide selection of wine and beers that accompany the meals very well.

Very welcoming & great view

The hotel staff was very welcoming, gave us the specific room I asked for and even noted my partner's birthday. The room was beautiful with a great view. Don't miss the restaurant as they prepare great dishes reflecting local terroir, produce and traditions (many Slow Food items). Fully recommended!

Fab views and lovely restaurant, staff very sweet.

Lovely peaceful place, needs access via car as quite far up the mountain which allows for fabulous views of the Mediterranean. Would definitely come back! Had an amazing meal in the restaurant on last night.

Lovely clean hotel on mountain road near Amalfi

Lovely clean hotel with wonderful views and excellent food. The staff were very friendly. The only slight criticism we had was that we could have done with another chair in our room as it only had one chair,

Good class of hotel, comfortable, relaxed.

An excellent hotel with full facilities, high above the sea, with superb views along the Amalfi Coast. Without exception, the staff were friendly and helpful. Whilst car parking was free, and very welcome, spaces were tight. In hindsight we should have made better use of the buses that stopped outside the hotel to go to Amalfi, and then used local ferries up and down the coast to visit nearby villages, rather than try to drive to them and have expensive parking charges. There are several local mountain walks, but the car is needed to go to the starting points. These walks were most enjoyable and must not be missed, assuming you are reasonably fit.

A lovely, personal hotel with incredible views.

I booked late for a friend's wedding and on the map it looked close to Amalfi where most of the other 80 folks were staying to be near Ravello, where the wedding took place. I arrived the next day, picked up from Naples airport (the nearest one). There was a party in Ravello that evening hosted by the engaged couple. A private bus took us down to Amalfi but would not go o Furore where the hotel is situated. A taxi is €80. The hotel called me and very kindly offered to pick me up for €50. This is cheap for a persons time and car. I was lucky and stayed in a friend's hotel in a spare bed. The hotel was great, not a problem. The road drive is amazing. I took the SITA Agerola bus, which stops by the hotel (up and down) for €1.20 in approx 30 mins. They are not frequent but come at useful times. The last one up from Amalfi is at 21:00
The next night I ate at the hotel. Great food. Very busy restaurant. The night views are amazing, the day ones even more so. The breakfast, a fine buffet and on the terrace with the sun beaming down with views 1500feet to the sea - unbeatable. The staff are very helpful, well informed. I wish my family was with me. Also they have parking which is a premium. I would hire a car at Naples next time, park at the hotel. Only drive down if you go at low traffic hours as getting in and out of Amalfi and park on the waterfront past the bus terminus. Go to Capri and Positano on the ferries at €8 to get great views. You can spend €35 on other boats if you wish

Great staff

The hotel staff was excellent, very nice and collaborating in everything they could. They help us with directions and arrange boat tour. The food was marvelous, one of the best dinners we had in the Amalfi Coast. The only thing was that the hotel was very far away from Amalfi, Praiano and the ocean. It said only 4 kilometers, that usually you can walk if it were another city but this was up in the mountain. Amalfi was like 25 minutes away and honestly we assume it was really close, I don´t know what we would have done if we didn´t have a car since I didn´t see any buses pass near. The air condition didn´t work well but with the windos open it wasn´t so hot. The beds were not comfortable.

Wanted to take up residence here!!

Absolutely wonderful place. Family owned and run, staff were all so friendly and went out of there way to give you advice or help you find your way. The food, cooked by Mama in the kitchen, was wonderful. We ate at the restaurant both nights and it seems to be a destination place for others in the area. The food was local and very good. Fresh fish daily and lots of fresh fruits and veggies.
The room was spacious compared to other, typical European room sizes and the view off the baloney was breathe taking. All research that we had done prior, told us not to drive in the area but we took the challenge in our rental car, and well, we survived! Definitely have to drive slowly and carefully, and if you are afraid of heights, I would't recommend driving

Superb hotel, views, staff and food!!

Chose this hotel to take my fiancé for her 30th. The location is fantastic up in the mountains with stunning views. Staff were brilliant at the hotel and even arranged a bottle of wine and flowers to be in the room when we arrived. The restraunt was the best around and very reasonable. Think it would be hard to beat this place for a stay on the Amalfi coast!
