We had a great time staying in the Diamond Room. The apartment is in a brilliant location, with easy access to everything we wanted to see. It looked fantastic, the bathroom was really nice, and having the kitchen area was a big bonus. The place was beautifully decorated, clean, and felt very welcoming.

We also had a lot of fun with the pinball machine and ended up using it more than expected! You can really tell the hosts care about providing a great space and looking after their guests.

Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Happy Home Diamond and this beautiful apartment was truly a gem! The owner Bjorn was amazing to work with and his staff is top notch! Perfect instructions on how to locate & enter plus a great booklet of everything you need once you arrive. Close proximity to market, St. Stephen’s Basilica, The Danube, and easy access to all public transport. We slept wonderfully each night as the property was very quiet. Everything you need to cook or reheat is provided for you. Having a washer/dryer available was so appreciated as we are traveling for 30+ days with only backpacks. The apartment is so sparkling clean and a wonderful size shower at the end of each busy day was so welcomed. We cannot recommend the Happy Home enough! They are worth every penny! We cannot wait to return to Budapest again and will most definitely be returning to see Bjorn and his Happy Home team again!

We had a five night stay at Happy Home White. The apartment is big. There is a kitchen full of necessary stuff. Close to supermarkets, bus, tram, metro and train stations. The apartment is very dark and humid. The loft upstair has no storage. Very low ceiling. Head board tucked into a concave wall. If someone is claustrophobic like me, you are in big trouble. Shower is not consistant. Hot shower turn cold several time during my shower. Pinball machine, electric key board is nice but no time to make use of them if you are busy touring the city. More storage space instead would be nice. Washing machine is nice.

Perfect central Budapest apartment

We stayed in the White Happy Home Budapest apartment which was beautiful. Greeted by the lovely Kate who showed us around & explained everything wonderfully. Great location to explore everything central Budapest has to offer. Only a few metro stops from the city centre/Danube or approx. 25 min walk. Very clean, huge shower, great little kitchenette with lots of appliances. Spacious apartment in general with lovely mezzanine level for the bedroom. Great value for money for a self-contained city centre apartment.

Really enjoyed our stay at Happy Home Diamond.
Nice, quiet street & building with a secure gated entrance. Great location 2 mins walk from a main square with metro / tram / bus stops.
Better shower than most hotels & having netflix on the TV was a nice touch.
Very friendly staff showed us the facilities and then at the luggage drop-off office.
If possible it would be a good idea to indicate the correct building. The ceiling in the bedroom area is uncomfortably low and the pillows weren't great, but they're minor inconveniences.

We were in the white apartment. It was lovely and clean with everything we would need even down to dishwasher tablets. Was a little bit smaller than we thought but still very spacious. Very quiet considering we were just off a main road. Supermarkets were 2 minutes away and which ever direction you walked in for around 5 minutes there was shops and bars. Only thing I would say it needs is a thicker mattress, more pillows and maybe a lamp or something upstairs.

This is a unique, quirky apartment in a great location. Yes it looks a tad rough around the exterior but don’t judge a book by its cover. Inside it is clean, bright, fun and safe.
We loved the pinball, guitar and keyboard. The mini bar was a great added bonus as was the free mobile WiFi. Staff were super as were their transfers.

This property is really well located— very central with excellent metro and tram links. Also a nice stroll of 15 -20 mins or so into centre. It’s really quiet at night so you get a great night’s sleep. Everything worked really efficiently and the internal design is to a high standard. Ours was a December visit and heating was excellent. Great shower also. Great choice to stay amongst locals rather than in hotels. We would highly recommend this property for your Budapest visit. The take out mobile wifi hotspot was a great bonus also. If so inclined we’d highly recommend the Palatinus Strand on Margaret Island for a spa and swim— outdoors and indoors. It’s really spotless and not overcrowded. Take tram 6 or 4 and then 3 stops on no 26 bus or just enjoy the walk on the beautiful island . Well done to Happy Homes — everything is as advertised , transport to and from airport was great and great reception also on arrival . 10 out of 10 !!!

AMAZING ! THIS PLACE EXCEEDS ALL EXPECTATIONS !

The welcoming was great. The lady kind of toured us through Budapest with her short 10 minute speech. Minor blip in the pickup from the driver. Nothing that she had to take it on her but she was very accountable of it and she made up more than that for it by providing a free airport drop service. I asked the driver to at least take the tip for the free ride but he did not.
My parents are visiting Budapest next summer and there is no other place I can even think of for them other than this.

This is a great property with fantastic amenities. Really enjoyed the pinball machine and coffee supplied. A welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch but no corkscrew was a problem. Netflix was a real bonus. Very clean and comfortable once you get used to the low ceiling I am 6' 2\" so slept on the sofa bed after a couple of nights - but that was comfortable and slept very well.
On the downside we booked a transfer with them from the airport but it didn't show up; they were not overly apologetic about this and we had to get a taxi which was cheaper than their car at 30 euros - cost of taxi was 20 pounds.

Fantastic, highly recommend!

We loved our stay here and would definitely book it again if (when!) we come back to Budapest. It was really quiet, clean and spacious, just as it looks on the pictures. The owner described his mission as wanting to make people happy and he definitely succeeded with us! They thought of everything you would need to have an enjoyable trip from an umbrella to a portable WiFi hub to take out with you and a delicious bottle of wine on arrival. We had good communication via email and when we called to say we would arrive a little later than planned they were really friendly. Finally the location was perfect being walkable to all the main attractions and cafes, bars and restaurants very close by. Thank you for a great stay.

Happy Home as My Own Home

It was an amazing experience staying with my family members in happy homes for 3 days. Outstanding services and the internet mifi device was really good option and worth it. I went in Dec 18 and for some odd reason the heating system was giving some issue but maintenance team of this property (Happy Homes) fixed it for me in no time.
In a nut shell I will be again looking forward to stay with them if I plan to visit BUDAPEST. But I will really 100% recommend this place for all visitors as it's also close to all landmarks in BUDAPEST.

Booking / Before Arrival:
Upon booking I was sent an email from Happy Home with a welcome booklet with information about the apartment, location, details on taxi to apartment, things to do etc. I decided to arrange the airport transfer from the airport for a flat rate of 30EUR, this is around the same price is taking taxi publicly with the added convenience.

Transport to Apartment:
The taxi driver gave me a WhatsApp call upon arrival at the airport, a lady was also waiting just past luggage belts with a sign with my name on. The taxi then pulled up outside arrivals shortly after.

Apartment Arrival:
25 minutes later I was at the apartment where I met the by another lady who showed me the apartment and gave me an into to the features.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with dishwasher, plenty of cutlery, dishes etc, full oven and stove, everything there. On top of that (great addition) a few soft and alcoholic drinks are provided and snack. Perfect as my arrival was quite late and didn’t want to head out straight away. There is also a coffee machine with pods provided free of charge.

Bathroom:
Powerful shower (no tub), spacious bathroom with heated towel rail. Very well lit.

Lounge:
Well arranged area, including smart tv with Netflix and YouTube, pinball machine, keyboard and guitar.

Sleeping Area:
Double bed with bedside tables, not much to add. Possibly additional pillow or two.

Location:
20 minutes walk to the hotspots, 5 mins to train station.

I would highly recommend staying at happy home. We stayed at happy home pink and it was perfect for our stay. It is a very clean and modern apartment which was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The apartment has a classic pinball machine, coffee machine, tv with Netflix, portable wifi device and complimentary snacks and wine upon arrival.

The owner really wants to make people happy and he provides an excellent welcome book with lots of good information and recommendations.

I am looking to return to Budapest next year as we loved it so much and we will be booking with happy home again!

We stayed in the Orange Happy Home Apartment for 8 days as a small family of three. Very convenient location whilst the apartment itself was fantastic. Friendliness and customer focus of the team that we dealt with was second to none - everything from the meet and greet to departure could not have been better - an absolute pleasure to deal with. The apartment itself was great - really comfortable it’s all the facilities you really need. Some great local shops too selling quality local produce and fresh fruit.
Above all, the Happy Home team made the whole trip an absolute pleasure.

This was the first time we have stayed in an apartment rather than a hotel and it was a perfect experience. Everything went smoothly from the welcome emails, to being met by a taxi, then met again at the apartment to ensure we were happy with everything. If we had needed any advice during our stay we would have felt comfortable asking the Happy Home staff as they difinately gave the impression nothing would be too much trouble.
The apartment was equipped with everything we needed (including complimentary drinks and snacks) and the wifi to go and Netflix were added bonuses.

Great concept

We chose Happy Home Blue because of its quirky concept and the idea that it fitted what we wanted. The concept is great but the execution needs some work, mainly with maintenance.
The pinball machine didn’t work, a couple of light switches didn’t operate that well, there was a pool of water on the work surface under the toaster, no idea where it came from. The TV local channels weren’t available and the corkscrew was broken. Some of these are minor I know, but if you have complimentary wine then you need to have a working corkscrew to drink it. Some other are major, water and toasters don’t go well together.
Also, be aware that the bedroom ceilings are extremely low so you will have to bend over to use them, and there is no sound proofing between the two bedrooms, both bedrooms open out into the rest of the apartment.
Good things included Netflix, mobile WiFi, complimentary drinks and a fully operational kitchen.
Overall the experience was ok but check the items you’re visiting for are working.

This is a great apartment that has everything you need for a great stay in Budapest. They have thought of everything from welcome drinks, to netflix, to adapters. It was really nice.The upstairs loft has two bedrooms with a low ceiling - but it is really no trouble. The little staircase would be a challenge to anyone not physically able. However, the apartment was perfect for us and would recommend. My only comment would be not to follow expedia's map location as this is not for the apartment - but follow the address emailed to you. Lesson learnt!

This home was in the perfect location to be able to walk to many attractions such as the Parliament building and St. Stephen's Basilica. The customer service team was also extremely friendly and helpful with organizing rides to and from different locations within the city and answering any questions we had. The room had many amenities that we found useful such as a universal converter and portable wifi hotspot. We loved our stay and would definitely book this place again!

Just okay ....

What looked like a luxury apartment, isn't. The apartments have clearly been \"done up\" on a budget.
Via email staff were great - but when we arrived at the office they were all a little lax. We were told we couldn't check in until 2pm so arrived back at the office at 2pm where we then had to wait until 2.40pm to be taken to our apartment (5/8 min walk from office). There were PLENTY of staff in the office, but we were told we had to wait for another member of staff. After several complaints about the delay the girl finally arrived but then went into the office to have a chin wag with the others!!! It wasn't until I complained again that we then left to go to our apartment.
Our bathroom, although nice, smelt horrendous. And the toilet blocked almost every day... we ended up plunging the loo 3 times and putting all tissue into a bin instead as the toilet kept blocking up.
Apartment smelt a little fousty - but was clean enough. Wardrobe stank like a rabbit hutch! Weird I know!
Several marks on walls and rips on wall paper etc - could do with a little touching up ... as with this the apartment would have looked much better.
Clock had stopped, lamp was broken. Air con not great - bedroom area was boiling. Shutters wouldn't stay shut so was light v early
Lovely bits dotted around apartment made it feel homely.
No sugar/tea so buy beforehand if you're staying here.
Location is fab & Budapest is AMAZING!
Wouldn't stay here again - too much faff for a room that was just okay

Great apartment in great city!

We had a great stay at Happy Home Budapest and would stay here again no problem. The apartment was great and had everything you needed, even a pinball machine! :) The apartment is not huge but fine for the 3 of us, there was also a shared inner courtyard that would be nice to sit and relax in too.
Location was great for us and walking distance to many bars and restaurants. We sent them a message on arrival and someone was there to meet us on arrival and go over a few details and answer any questions we had.
There was a few free mini bar items which was a great touch and overall we were all just very happy with the stay!

Excellent location. Very nice apartment. Very clean accept for the towels they were very stained (it looked like bleach). The stairs had no handrail to hold onto only a flat wall which ended before the bottom two steps. A rail would be far safer. The shower room floor was extremely dangerous when wet and again could do with some hand rails on the wall. The young man in the office was very very helpful.
We don't really think that you should recommend the Hop on Hop off buses as they can be up to an hour late and for us were a waste of money. The trams and public transport were far superior with no traffic to hold them up.

Great apartment in a great location

Right from the outset we were impressed by the staff at happy home, they responded to our emails and phone calls almost instantly and gave the impression that they couldn't do enough to help. If needed the staff would arrange transfers to and from the airport on your behalf.

We arrived at the apartment building and we're quickly greeted by happy home employee. As soon as we stepped foot in the apartment our first impressions were simply \"wow, this is cool\". An introduction to the apartment and the surrounding areas from the happy home staff member was really helpful and much appreciated, she also recommended some places for us to visit and restaurants to eat at.

We stayed in the green apartment so everything was themed toward the color green, it was furnished to a very modern and trendy standard. The apartment was well equipped with pots, pans, cutlery and even a full size dishwasher and a washer-dryer. Some really cool features were the old pinball machine, keyboard and guitar.

We would highly recommend happy home Budapest to anyone, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

One of the Best Places to Stay

This is for the Happy Home Diamond unit.

No complaints at all! It is pretty much a small studio apartment with a common area, loft with a very low ceiling, full kitchen (minus oven), and bathroom (shower only). Our unit has a TV in it. WiFi is inclided and a mobile hotspot is provided for travelling outside the apartment. Providing a hotspot has to be one of the best ideas for a host! Fridge is stocked with free snacks and drinks. Pinball machine is included and fun to use along with some musical instraments to play.

Location is close to a very busy road. Underground is a few blocks away (they check tickets frequently). Aldi and Spar are a few minutes walk for groceries. It is not the convenient place to stay for things around, but it makes you experience how it would be to live in Budapest. They are a big bus town, so if you can figure that out, you can get anywhere.

Walls are kind of thin, you can here neighbors phones and footsteps when there is NO white noise to distract you. It doesn't ruin the stay and no noise after 10pm. The washer and dryer is actually a washer/dryer combo unit and you will have you will hang cothes to dry. It is not a private unit, it is shared with the other 2 units. It does the job.

You could probably have 4 people stay here, I would only recommend to families if needed. I would highly recommend to couples only. It is truly a home away from home. I will definitely book with this company again, but maybe a different location.

Walkable to Everything in Fun, Little Apartment

The airport transfer service was very convenient, welcome and orientation was very thorough. Where else can you stay with a pinball machine in your own room?! Thoughtful touches everywhere... kitchen with welcoming snacks in the refrigerator, guitar and keyboard, first aid kit, umbrellas... even a little ambient lighting in the toilet! Even though they are not on site, the staff is very responsive.

The Purple Room is walkable to everything... I walked across to Buda, up to Heroes Square, to Parliament, and Central Market. When you get tired of walking, transportation of every type is around the corner. The location is very safe to walk around at night. Restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping all close by.

While the Purple Room wasn’t the room I intended to reserve, it was still better than a regular hotel room. Be aware that it was pretty tight with my son on the sleeper sofa and me in the bedroom loft. There is no proper table, only a narrow bar table that is awkwardly placed and facing the wall so it’s not very social or comfortable to eat at or do anything with. There is also little natural light coming into the room with a kitchen window and stairwell window that open to the inner courtyard. The Purple Room is perfectly fine if you are out and about all day and come back just to sleep... and after a long day out, coming back to play some pinball or guitar was pretty nice! I would stay with Happy Homes again.

Excellent location within walking distance to most attractions. There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. I really loved this apartment- I could easily have stayed longer. The included extras like the wifi dongle, netflix account, washing availability and the brilliant pinball machine made my stay comfortable and connected. I would definitely stay here again.

A good Idea

I booked this place for my partners birthday as he is a huge pinball fan. Upon booking, it was then stated that not all pinball machines work in the room. Because of this, I emailed Happy Home immediately to ask them if they would consider a repair or for an apartment with a working machine as it was important to me for my partners birthday, they replied and said they'd see what they could do. Unfortunately upon arrival we had a machine which was out of order. The pinball machine issue aside, the apartment is lovely. It's quiet, quirky and a great layout. The complimentary Netflix, minibar and coffee is a great touch. It was definitely worth the money paid. The only set back was the mould in the kettle and pans, however I contacted the staff and they said they'd sort this for the next guests. We would definitely stay again, but not raise our hopes for the pinball offer.

It was located in the center of Budapest with proximity to transportation and it was easy to get around on footl We were close to the theater district, Basilica and other attractions. Happy Home was very clean , uptodate furnishings and comforts of home. We enjoyed our stay.

Little gem, Great location!!

Our stay at happy home was a very good one. The apartment was very unique with the pin ball machine, guitar and keyboard used for decoration, the unique mezxanine bedroom was cool. it was also very clean and tidy, the apartment was stocked with complimentary drinks and a bottle of wine as well as a dolce gusto coffee machine. One handy feature was the Wi-Fi hotspot that came in very handy when travelling around the city.

We were met by a member of staff on arrival and they explained everything and made us feel very welcome. They organised our transfers for us and just told us the time to be rrsdy for (transfer both ways were seamless, no issues I just specified my flight time and they sorted it all from there, 25EUR each way wasn't too bad.

Staff were very helpful, got back to us within half an hour if we asked anything by email, even late at night!! they also answered any question we had before going out regarding places to go, currency, confirming details of the trip etc.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. would definitely stay here again for sure. Much better than a ttaditional hotel room.

A very happy stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Happy Home. Upon arrival we were greeted by an assistant and then shown around our apartment. Everything was well presented and in good condition, we were particularly impressed by the little extras they had provided such as the coffee machine and bottle of wine. It felt very homely and was nice to be able to relax in the evenings with Netflix. It was also placed in a good location near some restaurants and within walking distance of the main town. My only slight criticism of our stay would be that the bedroom ceiling was a little low, as my partner, who is 6 foot tall, had to duck slightly to avoid hitting his head. However, this was only a minor issue and overall we had a brilliant time.

Loved this apartment funky, clean, well presented and reasonably comfortable. The area is described as up and coming. It's a bit rough in places with closed down shops and run down buildings. We felt safe but it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Had a great stay at Happy Home Budapest, I stayed in the pink apartment. The owners have thought of everything. The smallest touches such as UK adapter and USB charger was really useful. The location was really good, within walking distance to most attractions.

This is a beautiful apartment in a beautiful city, great value for money!

I could not recommend the apartment more! If only I could stay in a Happy Home in every city I visit!

Great little apartment. Clean and modern.

Loved that it had its own little kitchenette. There were welcome drinks in the fridge for our arrival. The use of a laundry machine and supplies was fab as we were there for a week. Loved the mezzanine level for the bedroom.

Sadly we don't play musical instruments but the keyboard and guitar in the apartment was quirky.... along with the pinball machine!

The staff arranging transfers and answering questions before our arrival did a great job, fast to respond. The lady who met us at the apartment was so polite and friendly and put us right at ease.

Clean, cosy and fun apartment!

We have just recently stayed for four nights in happy home Orange. We loved our room and thought the layout was spacious yet cosy! They had literally thought of everything from cooking facilities and a good quality hairdryer down to adapter cables for those who may forget their own adapters. They even give you a free wifi hotspot so that you can travel round Budapest using your maps on your phone without using any mobile data which we found very useful to visit the sights. We were offered the hop on hop off bus tours but actually found everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The longest we walked was about 35-40 mins and that was to the other side of the river to the castle etc. The room was very clean on arrival and the shower was so lovely. The only slightly bad thing about our whole experience was that at night the shower let's out a rather strange smell but that was usually gone by morning and is to be expected with Europe drainage systems. We loved all the happy quotes and pictures of pugs which were very cute! The staff were easily contactable using whatsapp free over the phone and were very friendly. Maddie checked us in and gave us loads of tips on where to go and how to avoid being ripped off by taxis etc which we thought was really honest and helpful. Overall we would strongly reccomend Happy Home to anyone and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! THANK YOU HAPPY HOME!

Excellent stay in the heart of Budapest!

I've lived in Budapest for over 3 years before having to stay anywhere else that wasn't where I was already living. I was a bit picky with the location I wanted to stay and didn't feel like staying in a hotel would be an interesting experience to me - and boy I was right. The location where the apartment is at is absolutely wonderful - there are multiple things that you can do just with a short walk, from visiting sightseeing places to have food, drinks and even a massage (just on the corner). If you would like to travel further, there are plenty of public transport options nearby. The apartment was absolutely lovely - exactly how it is shown in the pictures - beautiful, clean and quiet! I had taken the transfer both in and out, which really facilitated the check in part as they were in touch with the driver and were waiting for me once I arrived. Everything was no less than perfect! For whoever is renting there are a few watch outs: the apartments are spread in the city - so look closely which is the address you would like to book. The one specifically that I have stayed was on the first floor without an elevator and though I got help to bring my luggage up and down it might not be ideal to everyone.

Happy Home was the best accommodation we have had on our whole trip through europe. Every detail is attended to and the staff are fantastic - showing you every thing you might need and making recommendations on restaurants etc.

Rooms are excellently appointed with mini bar included as part of your booking (No extra cost) and a pin ball machine!!

Our biggest regret is that we only stayed 2 nights in Budapest and 2 nights at Happy Home because we did not want to leave. We will definitely be back!

Very nice apartment. Everything was nice, clean and homely just as the pictures show. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were given complimentary snacks and drinks which was lovely. The location was also perfect, everything within walking distance with river danube being 20 minutes away. I am very impressed and would recommend to anyone.

Definitely a HAPPY stay

Budapest is an amazing place to visit and having this happy home definitely contributed to our great visit.

In general, I prefer to stay outside the busy tourist city center but with easy access to public transportation which is one of the main reasons I selected this location. I also loved that there were pinball machines in each home. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to find out the machine in my home was not working, but these machines are as old as I am. It was still nice decor to go along with everything else - I appreciate all the details taken to have a place look and feel comfortable.

Everything you need to have a comfortable stay is included with a stocked kitchen (equipment and snacks), spacious bathroom, A/C to keep you nice & cool as well as a washer/dryer combo.

An added bonus I was not expecting was a wifi hotspot you can take with you sightseeing to ensure you are always connected. I have been traveling Europe for 2 months and this is unheard of.

I highly recommend staying here and would book again.

Een top locatie in het hart van Boedapest.
Alles prima geregeld, uitstekende communicatie en iemand aanwezig bij aankomst om alles uit te leggen. Je hebt een appartement wat van alle gemakken voorzien is. Vanuit hier kan he alle kanten op met bus, tram en metro. Wanneer wij weer gaan dan boek ik absoluut weer bij Happy Home ♥️

最初場所が見つけずらく、外の扉から中に入ると、あまり綺麗ではない中庭を通ってアパートの入り口まで行きます。写真付きで入室の仕方を送ってもらっていたので、スムーズに入室出来ました。室内は大変綺麗で、コーヒーメーカーや調理器具もあり助かりました。メゾネットタイプの部屋でゆとりがありました。

とても良い部屋でした。
キッチンや洗濯機&乾燥機（部屋のすぐ外にあります）がついていて、部屋も広かったです。
ロフトは身長170cm以上だと頭があたると思いますので注意が必要です。
徒歩5分程度でスーパーなどもあるためとても便利です。

気になる点としては、部屋に入るための中庭は埃っぽいのと夜になるとだいぶ暗いです。
また、場所がわかりにくく迷う可能性があります。ただし、WhatsAppでメッセージを送るとすぐに返信してくれるため、迷った時には連絡するのをオススメします。

When we arrived at the Airport, we were immediately helped by the staff that brought us to the hotel. The room was exactly as on the pictures: spacious, comfortable, good localisation, we really felt like being at home.
