Its in a fantastic location with plenty of places within 100m for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Also near metro and busses

Misleading descriptions and photos makes this average to below average hotel in the favorable La Marais area of Paris to appear to be something that it is not. If you are just looking for a bed and a place to store your luggage, then you might be OK. If, however, you are looking for any hint of luxury or amenities, this is NOT your best choice. Unfortunately, we passed many other options throughout our travels in this area that would have been far more attractive for the same price. I think this was a case of previous travelers being kind and Expedia and the hotel itself presenting the hotel in a way that exaggerated reality. The best I can say about our experience is that the staff did their best to make a dingy and tired property seem inviting, but in the end, the experience fell well short of what you might expect for $300/per night. And was about more than the typical tiny rooms. From the front of the hotel, to the lobby area, to the cargo-style elevator, to the worn decor, it was just an overall disappointment given the marketing hype that sold us on the hotel. Thankfully, the rest of our activities in Paris were wonderful and we only used the hotel as storage and a place to rest. So, we turned what could have been a real letdown into something we could manage. In summary, if you have other options in the price category, look elsewhere than this hotel. And cross reference any marketing you see across multiple sites to get a consensus of opinion on your selection!

Location is excellent, lots of great shops and restaurants. We recommend joji right across the street. The hotel itself was nice. Not the best sound proofing but it didn’t bother us too much. Bathroom in our room was updated but the room itself could use fresh coat of paint. Staff were excellent . Overall we would stay there again, especially for the location.

This hotel earns all 3 of its stars well and is a well-located, affordable option for Paris girls trip.
The one thing to know in advance is that the room is very small, so be sure you’re close with you wherever you are traveling with!
Otherwise - I would recommend! Helpful staff, excellent location, and clean!

The hotel was in an excellent location and if you are out and about touring the city all day, it was a perfectly good room to come back to for rest. The rooms are a little on the smaller side and the walls are a bit thin but I think that is to be expected from a boutique hotel in the middle of a busy area. The staff were so helpful and kind and really great! I would recommend staying at this location

The location of the hotel was excellent- easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Close to a couple of Metro stations.
The rooms were bigger than a number of hotels I’ve stayed in previously and the bed and bedding made for a great night’s sleep.
The staff at Reception, both day and night, were super friendly and helpful.

Our arrival by personal car was hectic, so I suggest trying to arrive by car hire. The hotel staff are more than helpful and so very obliging to our every need. The price through Hotel.com is reasonable for this area. The rooms we had were very tight, but, who comes to Paris to sit in their hotel room. GOOD STAY.

Our room was small like mist hotel rooms in Paris . There was a teapot, bottled water, tea bags and instant coffee. Our room overlooked a street which really wasn’t noisy at night. The AC/ fan didn’t work so we had to open the windows which unfortunately let in a lot of light . The bathroom was in black so it was a little creepy. Good water pressure. Front desk folks were really pleasant and quite helpful !

This was my second stay at Turenne Le Marais and it was as great as the first. The staff are incredible. I don't know all their names, but Brahim, Sylvie, Kanti (the housekeeper), and the other lovely people at the desk were friendly, helpful and conscientious.
My room was small, but that's okay. C'est Paris! My bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well supplied with eco-friendly shampoo and body wash. Housekeeping was excellent.
The only thing that should be addressed is the carpeting. It is old, spotted, and needs to be replaced, and a new coat of wall paint wouldn't hurt.
The hotel is perfectly located for those who want to venture out in any direction. There are tons of boulangeries, restaurants, boutiques and Monoprix is a few minutes away, as well as bus stops, the métro, and la Seine.
I'd like to thank la direction for their outstanding hospitality and personable service. A la prochaine!

The location in Le Marais was great. The beds were comfortable & the shower was decent with good strength of water flow. The carafe of water in the room was greatly appreciated. The room was warm, very tiny & very outdated. We could hardly have 2 suitcases in the room. The wall paper was scratched & the room needed a definite refresh with new paint, carpet or flooring installed.

The staff were nice but the toilet was so disgustingly obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned. It was feral with urine, hair and poop residue. When brought up to the gentleman at the reception on us stepping out, he informed us he cleaned it himself. Though it was cleaner it was by no means clean and left us wondering what else If anything had been cleaned. Though he was kind there was no apology. The area is good but I definitely wouldn’t stay here and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. The room was extremely tiny even for Paris standards.

We were so so pleased with this hotel & location. It’s only like 2 blocks from the metro, which we used a ton. But we also loved how you can walk to endless cafe’s restaurant and shopping very close to the hotel. I appreciated that at night you have to buzz the front desk to let you in. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was actually SO COMFY and the comforter! We slept amazing. Also, LOVED having the AC, I can’t sleep if my room isn’t freezing. 10/10. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back Paris.

The property was amazing. My problem was with the staff. When we arrived there was a doorman who was helping people that were leaving with there luggage as the got into there taxi. We were 3 women with 6 pieces of luggage he turned his back and went back into the hotel. Once inside we proceeded to to check-in. Because were early we were asked to wait. Which was understandable we waited 3 hours. While we waited we watched a waitress constantly taking drink orders from patrons all around. Never once did she come to us. My sisters got up and got our drinks and potato chips. After we had finished our drinks the waitress came to remove the empty glasses. She looked at us like it was beneath her to provide service to us. So I deliberately asked her if she was having a bad day? No response. Then I asked her if she was tired? No response. I told my sisters maybe she doesn't understand English very well. When I got up to use the restroom a few minutes later she was laughing and having a grand conversation with a group of English speaking people. I was determined to make her speak to me. I walked up to her interrupted her at her duties and asked where the restroom was. She finally spoke and said there. At the time we were the only people of color in the check in, lobby lounge area. We also ordered dinner from outside of the hotel. They didn't let the delivery service inside the hotel. I was told delivery service weren't allowed in the hotel. Did not feel welcomed at all.

En la recepción nos recibió una señora muy amable que hablaba español, lo cual facilitó mucho la comunicación. Además, estuvo siempre atenta a resolver dudas y darnos recomendaciones, lo cual agradecimos mucho.

La ubicación es muy conveniente, a pocos pasos de la estación de metro, lo que nos permitió movernos rápida y cómodamente por toda la ciudad. Alrededor del hotel hay una gran variedad de opciones de comida: desde restaurantes hasta una carreta de crepas, además de un supermercado, panaderías (perfectas para armar un lunch) y tiendas de souvenirs. Incluso hay una iglesia muy bonita cerca.

La habitación es pequeña y no tiene espacio ni mesa para colocar la maleta, y el baño también es bastante reducido. Sin embargo, todo corresponde exactamente a lo que se muestra en las fotografías, por lo que no hubo sorpresas.

En resumen, un hotel con excelente ubicación, atención amable y comodidades justas, ideal para quienes buscan practicidad en su estancia en París.

Quiet and comfortable

The room was small but it was very nice and comfortable. My husband and I were fine in the room with 2 medium suitcases. The a/c worked great. It was my number one requirement to book a place. It was in a quiet street, with a couple of restaurants across the street but so many others a short block away to restaurants, bars, cafes and boulangeries. It was in between 2 metro stops on the main cross street. We used both Saint-Paul and Bastille stations and that was our main way to go everywhere. A few short blocks away was a ton of shopping and overall it’s just a great place to stay. It really surpassed my expectations.

Affordable option in an excellent location

The location of the hotel is amazing, within walking distance of Place Vosges, tons of restaurants, and many markets. The room had French doors that opened up to a quiet side street. We were able to check in early. The hotel offers a free water fountain in the lobby. The room was comfortably sized and the bed had 2 pillows per person. I would highly recommend this affordable hotel for its excellent location.

Hotel La Turenne is a good property and has all you need but no frills. The rooms are very small but clean. The bathrooms are also tiny, but again, clean. The staff were always helpful and friendly. They always were able to help us find a specific type of store or questions about the metro. They also were able to call the taxi for the airport and schedule it for us. The location is great. A 3 minute walk to St Paul station which is on the main line to all the attractions. Was a very nice stay for the amount we spent on the room.
