Although small compared to American hotels, there was enough room for 2 people and the showers were very nice. The updated temp control was very helpful. The lobby was under construction. Otherwise would have rated the property a little higher. Overall a good choice. Only 15 minutes walking to the Louvre. Highly recommend.

Location was amazing. We knew the room would be small but it was even smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. The shower was so small that you couldn’t shower without the curtain touching you. It also didn’t do much for keeping the water inside the shower. The whole room flooded after each shower. Room could also benefit from some overall maintenance and deep cleaning. Breakfast was good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Location was amazing. Walking distance to many sights, the metro and restaurants.

The hotel is very old, and small. Our room was like a shoe box we could barely get in the room from the elevator and the stairs being right in front of it. Being with a small child it was a big inconvenience. The online photos are deceiving. The staff was kind which helped.

Decent breakfast costs extra - no hot food but an assortment of yoghurts, fruit, cake and pastries - where you are paying for the convenience of it being in the hotel. Friendly staff and good baggage storage with use of toilets for your last day.

This is a wonderful small boutique hotel, situated on a quiet street in the centre of Paris. It is conveniently located, yet feels like a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle just around the corner.

I received a very warm welcome and the hotel and room was immaculate. It is not the biggest, but what you lose in size you gain from the personal service.

The breakfast area serves a buffet style breakfast in an intimate environment and it sets you up perfectly for the rest of your day in Paris.

I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.

Great Stay

The hotel was in a perfect location, easily accessible to The Opera, The Louvre, The river bank. The hotel is small and cozy, staff is wonderful and very helpful, and the rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The only cons to my stay were the breakfast which we found to be quite expensive for the small assortment of food. The boulangeries are a much better option, and nothing beats local bakeries and coffee. We encountered several days of our showers going from hot to cold at night with no explanation from the staff as they said they've never heard of such issues. We were able to take a nice warm shower on our last day. Maybe hot water runs out late. With the courteous staff and great location and comfortable sleep, the pros outweigh the cons. I will stay here again in future.

For my first visit to Paris I could not have picked a more perfect hotel. The staff at Hotel Lion d'Or Louvre was fantastic and beyond helpful. They were knowledgeable about Paris and provided helpful hints and information. I can't wait to return to Paris and they will be my hotel of choice.

My room was very nice and was cleaned everyday, per my request.

Very close to the hotel are a small grocery store, many restaurants, patisseries, and shops. A great location!

My wife and our daughter and I stayed at the Hôtel Lion d'Or Louvre for 4 nights in September 2024. It is a very nice city centre boutique hotel; perfectly located in the older part of Paris (easy to walk to all of the main sites; Notre Dame, Louvre, Eifel Tower, Musee D'orsay etc. Very comfortable with great staff. We had a family room which was small, but very practical for our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to see the sites and soak up the wonderful Parisian atmosphere.

I had no expectations when I booked this property as I was just looking for reasonable accommodation during the Olympics and this hotel delivered in all aspects. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast each morning was good. Location was perfect as it was in walking distance to the Louvre and very easy access to the metro which made getting around way. There were many good restaurants in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during the Paris Olympics which was a perfect location to catch the metro to the different event sites, a 5 minute walk to the Louve museum and Tuileries garden where the Olympic cauldron was located.
The staff made our stay more meaningful - Hamsa and Alice are both kindhearted, warm, and accommodating. We will miss them both.
It’s a well maintained hotel. We enjoyed staying in their family room and had a lovely breakfast every morning at their quaint dining area.

Absolutely loved this hotel. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. Staff were super friendly, bed was comfortable, hotel is in a great spot and the room and hotel were very clean and more spacious than we thought it would be. We will definitely stay here again.

So close to everything Paris has to offer. A few blocks to the metro or bus, 3 minutes to Tuileries/Louvre, cafes, restos…so great.

Staff is so incredibly friendly and always available. We will definitely stay here again.

Location couldn't be better. Metro only a 2min walk away, surrounded by restaurants, laundromat, a little convenience store 50 meters away.

Room itself was bigger then i expected being paris. Really happy with our stay

Great location, lovely staff!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, with one caveat that is fairly minor. The staff was very friendly, and most spoke very good English for us touristy folk. The breakfast was perfect, with an assortment of breads, cheese, jams, fruits, juices, and two espresso machines.
The one caveat: the air conditioning control is limited. We tend to run warm at night, so we will drop the AC, but that wasn’t an option. Not a huge deal, as the weather was cool enough for the room to feel fairly comfortable anyway.
With the Louvre a short walk away, and some nice restaurants nearby, the Lion d’or Louvre really fit our vacation needs well. We would love to stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel is not considerate enough to change the date of our hotel stay. It was a typo error that iinstead of 5/02 to 5/03 , maybe I accidentally click the 2/02 to 2/03 .And i noticed it last minute already. I even told expedia that why will i book on 2/02/-2/03 when jnfact my flight that i booked thru expedia was 5/01/24. It was an honest mistake but hotel were very inconsiderate!

A lovely hotel. Perfect for what we wanted.
Fantastic location. Easy walking distance to all main tourist attractions plus shopping, restaurants and transport links.
The staff were friendly, polite and always greeted you with a smile.
The room was clean, nicely decorated, spacious and had everything we needed.
There was little to no noise from the street outside and we felt very safe.
We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Awesome room!

Hotel room was amazing! Very clean and comfortable; high ceilings with skylights and loft. Small kitchenette which was nice for opening a bottle of wine at night. Asked for more coffee pods but told that we could not get more because we did not book the hotel breakfast as part of our stay. We did want to explore some Paris cafes in the mornings but would have liked to have had some coffee in our room before venturing out. Did eat one breakfast at the hotel but was charged 5 euros more than the price stated on the hotel information packet in the room. Very convenient location to the Louvre. If you stay on the 4th floor, there are 75 spiral steps to climb with your luggage - quite a workout! We did love our stay and would recommend this hotel!
