We chose the right place to stay in Røros

All the staff were lovely and friendly. The location was perfect in the middle of the old town, close to what we wanted to do and see. Breakfast was good, dinner was excellent.
The beds were comfortable, the shower was good but the doors leaked a little as they didnt close properly. Wifi in the room was very poor but fast in the main building.

Fantastic location in the town and a lovely decorated room in keeping with its history. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a few issues. The bed was not good resulting in significant rolling towards the middle. The shower head kept falling and would not stay in place. Great that we had a kettle and coffee/sugar but no milk and no spoons to stir.
Breakfast had a limited selection compared to other hotels in Norway and the hot selection was cold by 9am, the same selection was still on offer an hour later.
All in all a poor experience

Lovely Traditional Hotel in Røros

I love this hotel situated conveniently on the Main Street of Røros. Their restaurant serves excellent, fresh traditional Norwegian cuisine. The rooms are comfortable and make you feel like you have been transported back to the 1800s, but with modern conveniences.

We stayed in an old outbuilding that had been converted into two apartments. Roomy and comfortable with a lot of the old charm intact. Very affordable also!

Beautiful place! Free parking next to a horse field on one side and stairs straight out to the walking street on the other. Nice staff! Not top notch room standards, but very cosy and clean. Old-fashioned Norwegian nostalgia.

Close to everything for walking to and comfortable

This historic hotel is pleasant and easy to like, in a great location. Being of its' age, it lacked the modern amenities of a newer hotel, such as USB ports for charging our phones and ample outlets, but the spacious room made up for it. We felt safe and slept well in a comfortable bed. The location was the best part, on the main street filled with shops, cafes, and the old church near the top of the hill, plus the old mine nearby, so we walked everywhere.

The rooms were great, very charming. The in house bar was very good, had a lovely meal although the waitress messed up our order and two tables who sat down after us were served before us, but the manager came over to apologise and gave us free desserts which was great. Parking was a bit challenging and not very organised. The rooms we had were in a newer building but no lift so we had to hike our heavy cases up some stairs, luckily we had our son with us to help. Breakfast was good, plenty of food, but nowhere to toast the bread as far as I could see. No tissues or toiletries in the bathrooms of our rooms. Staff very friendly (as we have found everywhere in Norway!). Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place and definitely the town of Røros to visit, quite unique and charming.

The hotel itself is quite nice, very central to all the sites in town. The room we stayed in was located above the local library in the old fabric factory, so not easy to find but very recently remodeled, spatious and comfortable. Getting on the wifi is more trouble than it is worth. The restaurant hotel has outstanding food, but it is expensive of course, this is Norway. Surprisingly our server left her shift just before we finished our meal, then we discovered an extra glass of wine after paying, which was the second time we had been overcharged in Røros, hoping it is not a trend.

Loved the town, loved the hotel.

A really fascinating town full of history and this was the perfect place to stay in terms of being a historical building. Our room was lovely - an attic with lots of character and views of the church. The only problem was that it was not part of the main building (most of the rooms are not) and so we had to run through the rain to get to the main building and our breakfast, which was very good.

Best hotel in Røros

A hidden gem, the hotel is located in one of the two streets that make Røros worth visiting, all within walking distance. The rooms are spread out in a number of houses behind the main building, all very traditional and all different. The main building houses the restaurant that serves local sourced food and have a impressive beer selection +150 varieties. A word of warning, the restaurant has a limited menu on Sundays and I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with mobility issues. I want to add, that I am a frequent visitor to Røros, and I have stayed in most hotels in town, but book this before any other.

Første dag fikk vi rom med kloakklukt samt lang trapp opp for å komme til badet, pratet med resepsjonen om lukt å fikk nytt rom uten lukt, men med 140 seng( hadde bestilt 180 med to senger) så det ble ei dårlig med nattesøvnen.
God frokost med lokale produkter å fantastisk personale.

Ett anrikt hotell med unika rum i dom gamla byggnaderna som är på innergården. Det är tyst och lugnt. Frukosten har vad man förväntar sig och mer där till. Nära till parkeringen som är gratis. Mycket vänlig personal. Ett hotell som man vill återkomma till när man är i närheten.

En overnatting på Røros

Hotellrommene er i gamle hus og man må ta det deretter. Helt ok rom. Middagen i restauranten var veldig bra, helt ok frokost. Det var et fint opphold.

Sentralt og behagelig

Vi bodde i Uldvarefabrikken (med hund) og rommet var pent og reint, samt stille og rolig. Uldvarefabrikken er da også ett av få bygg i området som ikke er i tre, så vær oppmerksom på det dersom man ønsker å bo i trehus.
God frokost og hyggelig personale. Gøy med gamle avisartikler på veggene om Uldvarefabrikken, samt kart i vinduskarmen som fortalte litt om hva man kunne se ut av vinduet.

Veldig sentralt. Litt knot å finne fram til parkeringsplassen før vi fikk bedre anvisninger fra resepsjonen.

Pris og kvalitet står ikke i forhold til hverandre

Beliggenhet veldig bra. Betjening blide og vennlige, men møtte kun en som snakket norsk.
Rommet var rent, men veldig veldig nedslitt tregulv - virket uhygienisk. Dette stedet har svært gamle tre bygninger som er sjarmerende, men vedlikehold av rom er likevel nødvendig! Rommet var overmøblert med lite passende møbler og mørkt. En verandadør vendte ut til en liten balkong, som også hadde dør til et annet rom - altså ikke greit å ha døren åpen om natten - ingen vindu i rommet. Prøvde bytte men hotellet var fullt. Våre venner fikk et langt større lysere og hyggeligere rom . Vi betalte lik pris! Hadde prisen på rommet vært halvert ville det vært greit- vi betalte alt for mye! Middagen også veldig dyr.
Kommer ikke tilbake dit, nei. Litt overrasket over at Hotels.com anbefaler dette stedet.

Midt i det historiske kvarter i Røros, så super beliggenhed. Parkering ok, men det kniber lidt med skiltning og plads.
Store værelser med køkken, når man bor på Uldfabrikken, der ligger 30 meter fra hovedbygningen.
Restaurant ok, små portioner(meget små) og lidt til den dyre side, men det er jo Norge.
Vi have bestilt bord og blev bænket, derefter skete der intet i 14 min. øvrige borde blev betjent med vand og vin osv. var det gået et min. mere havde vi forladt restauranten.
Værelset ok, men sengen trænger til opdatering. Vi havde dobbeltseng, hvor vi konstant begge faldt ind i et hul mod midten.

Dårlig standard og tetting på dør til rom medførte kraftig støy fra gang.

God beliggenhet for å utforske Røros

Vi hadde et fint opphold på Vertshuset. Perfekt beliggenhet i Kjerkgata. Endte opp med en familielighet med to soverom og kjøkkenrom. Bra base for å utforske Røros.

Hverken resepsjonspersonalet eller servitørene snakket norsk. Betjeningen i restauranten virket urutinert. Vi ba om å få kjøttet lite stekt (rare), men servitøren insisterte på medium rare, noe som blir feil når det dreier seg om indrefilet av rein. Maten (som smakte utmerket) ble servert før bestikket var lagt på bordet, og vannet ble servert like før vi var ferdige med å spise. Rommet var komfortabelt, med to gode lenestoler, men sengen var for myk for oss.

Bon séjour

Séjour agréable dans cet appartement pour 6 personnes (nous étions 3). Manque un peu de vaisselle, cela allait à 3 mais nous aurions été 6 non. 4 assiettes creuses et 1 plate cela suffisait à peine à nos habitudes de français mais cela correspondait à la table de repas (pour 4).
Petit déjeuner buffet copieux et avec queques produits locaux.
Une lunch box à 150 NOK que l'on rempli soi-même avec les éléments du petit-déjeuner.

Var flott at de har hunde rom så mine kunne være med. Men manglet noe syns jeg som søppelkasse ute til og kaste poser etter hundene gjorde fra seg , var en litt bred sprekk mellom dør og karm inn på rommet så det trakk kaldt langs gulvet , trakk også kaldt fra et vindu som gjorde at jeg måtte skru opp varmeovnen . Frokosten var veldig god , koselig sted , fint å se på utvendig og utrolig sentralt med gang avstand til butikker , spisesteder, museum osv.

Kjempefint hotell midt i sentrum. Veldig stort å fint rom. Behjelpelig personal enten behovet var parkering eller ekstra håndduker. Komfortable senger. Helt grei frokost. Vi hadde et kjempefint opphold, kommer gjerne tilbake.

Vi var så heldige å få rom i den gamle ullvarefabrikken. Flotte rommselige rom. Rolig område. Superservice av personalet i resturanten da vi hadde glemt å bestille bord på resuranten. Men det løste seg selv om de egentlig ikke hadde tid. Vi fikk middagen levert på døren😊 og hvilken middag, smakte fortreffelig.

Restauranten serverer virkelig god mat. I Reinsdyr file med rødvin saus kan virkelig anbefales, utrolig godt.

Hyggelig og sentralt - anbefales.

På ferietur med hund.
Storkoste oss i Røros - både stedet og overnattingsstedet var supert.

Vi reiser med hund for første gang - det var ikke noe problem.

Røros Vertshus ligger svært sentralt midt i gågata. Rikelig med P-plasser på baksiden. Veldig hyggelig betjening. Vi kommer tilbake.

Hotell med spesiell atmosfære

Hyggelig sted med spesiell arkitektur. Hotellet består av gamle hus som er ombygd til formålet. De gamle trehusene bidrar til en spesiell atmosfære. Dusjen var ikke så bra siden vannet sprutet over hele baderomsgulvet. Ellers var rommet og fellesfasilitetene gode.

Omplassert uten info, men fantastisk service.

Vi bestilte på vertshuset Røros og ble flyttet hit uten noen beskjed. Det var dårlig siden vi ønsket å bo i sentrum. Nå ble vi flyttet utenfor og vekk fra ett rikt tilbud om cafeer, barer og restauranter. Selve Røros hotel er slitent, men fantastisk god service oppveier en del. Og baren med mat var utrolig flott, med veldig god mat og drikke. Basseng og lekeland for vår datter var helt perfekt, men ekstrautgift da vi ikke hadde med badetøy.
