Our rooms were in shambles, fearuring stained sheets sprinkled with long strands of hair. The AC was as loud as a truck, and the breakfast we paid for never materialized. The official excuse was that the hotel was being sold, and expedia would penalize them if they were to remove their ads.

Nice sized hotel quite modern but still personal. Good central location but side street so it's quiet. We were there beginning of May so under occupied which meant no buffet breakfast just very small plated breakfast. I understand the reasoning but felt if breakfast is reduced so should the room prices so the negative of City Hotel is it's bit overpriced.

This is an old hotel … beds are very old, lumpy. Sheets, blankets Barry cover beds. Pool is ok … pool furniture very old and stained. The only redeeming qualities were locations and breakfast. Location is very good - close to marina and castle. Breakfast was great, made by two hardworking friendly ladies.

City hotel Marmaris was in a great location. The pool and breakfast were great. The room was small (twin share room) but manageable.
My only small complaint is that we missed breakfast on our last morning as we had to get a ferry earlier. We were able to get a coffee with no worries however I asked for some bread and spreads to take away, and I was only offered stale bread from the day before - was disappointing as we had paid for full breakfast, but we understood we were 30 mins too early (breakfast is 8am-10am and we had to leave at 7.30).
Other than that it was a wonderful hotel with great service! :)

Just disappointing

Unfortunately we found the stay quite disappointing. The room was tiny and the light wasn’t working. We called to change room and and at first they said there was no room and we asked for a refund but then they said there was the special room available which had nothing of special. Was just a little bigger to fit 2 armchairs facing each other. The shower water was warm/cold and breakfast under the standard of other hotels we booked. they say free parking in the street but in Marmaris finding a parking lot is a mission. furthermore the pool was only available after breakfast starting from 10am which means we couldn’t have time to dip in the water before leaving as it was too late.

This is a typical three-star hotel in Turkey: clean, friendly staff, does the trick. No frills, just what is needed: room (with air conditioning and large balcony), breakfast (with big spread), and even a pool.

One block from the water and the main promenade of Marmaris. EXCELLENT location, but absolutely no parking nearby. The property is on a small street with cars parking on both sides.

Excellent small hotel close to the bazaar (central) area of town. Close to beach. Rooms were a little small, but were fine for the 2 of us and would be if we had additional child. Bathroom was well equipped and plenty of hot water. Beds were comfy, each room had a safe and the balcony was a suntrap.
Breakfast was turkish with the option of paying a little extra for fried eggs/omelettes etc, was acceptable. Pool was open, but obviously this time of year was freezing..
Steep ramp/steps into property may be an issue for less mobile, but otherwise great.
Just to point out the hotel is in a residential area with local neighbours, which was quiet and traffic free, so the view was limited and of other homes

We found the owner to be distant, he literally asked us to leave a good review for his hotel which I have not heard anywhere in the world. The AC was off when we arrived and we were baked in the room until we called the reception and they started the AC, and it only effected 30 min later. I wonder why they do not inform about this when we arrived so it could have started right then.

Room was very tiny but clean. The lady in the breakfast section was nice. Hotel is too expensive for what it offers, with the borderline rude owner ( he did not move from his chair when we were struggling to carry our luggage ).

Pro tip: book the hotels just one block away from this hotel for a half price and smiling receptions! not worth-ed.

We didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting We booked with the bigger room with a terrace and it was more like the size we are use to in Canada. Thw room was spotless. We could not change the setting for the air conditioner as it was set to certain temp and fan speed so we had to turn the the AC on and off all day. We also spotted some stain on the bed sheet which was disturbing. The room was so small that you must keep your stuff in the suitcase, there isn’t much space to place them. The staff was helpful and the hotel location was good these were the only two positive things.

The hotel is in a quiet area close to the centre of Marmaris, so convenient for shops, restaurants, local offices, and the town beach. My third-floor room (3-36) with a balcony was small but well-designed. Good shower with plastic sliding doors. Unusually, it didn't leak. Breakfast was fine. In addition to the standard Turkish-breakfast items, the waitress offered an omelette or soup. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I have stayed many times for close to twenty years at a larger hotel on the sea front, about five minutes away on foot. When I checked the price there for a three-night stay it was 566 Turkish liras. Marmaris City Hotel's price was 404 liras. City Hotel was, for me, much better value for money. It was great to be in a small hotel with only a few Turkish guests instead of in a big hotel with foreign tourists.

Attractive place and town

A free upgrade on arrival may partially account for this being the most pleasant room we have had in a generally positive month. In all respects the hotel was bright, clean, modern, roomy and well situated at a very pleasant price. The people were helpful and friendly and language was a non issue. I hate to give a 100% but don't know where I would fault them.

La struttura sarebbe molto carina se fosse gestita in modo adeguato.
Personale completamente incompetente, non ho mai visto da nessun'altra parte nel mondo che il personale invece di svolgere le proprie mansioni si mettessero a giocare fra di loro in piscina con musica alta, schiamazzi e tuffi inappropriati.
Dopo la prima notte, alle ore 17, non avevano ancora effettuato le pulizie ed il cambio asciugamani nella stanza forse erano "impegnati" anche loro in piscina.
Lenzuola ed asciugamani non puliti bene.
Poco empatici e per nulla disponibili, parlano poco e male la lingua inglese.
Pessima colazione con pochi prodotti e scritti in turco.
Pessimo da sconsigliare!!

Tek oda iki ayrı yataklı olacak şekilde 3 gece konakladık. Marmaris merkeze yürüyüş mesafesinde olması iyiydi, tek iyi olan tarafıda buydu. Oda aşırı küçük valizleri koyunca yürüyecek yerimiz kalmadı, valizlerin üzerinden zıplayarak odada hareket edebildik. Marmaris gibi inanılmaz sıcak bi yerde tavan kliması koymuşlar iyi soğutuyor fakat balkon kapısını bir sn’ye açıyorsun klima kapanıyor, lavaboya giriceksin ışık açıyorsun klima yine kapanıyor sürekli aç kapa aç kapa mahvolduk. Ayrıca klima konumlandırılması bir yatağın sürekli üstüne geliyor, o yatakta yatan gece boyu klimanın vurmasını çekmek zorunda. Son olarak araç için otopark yok ve havuz çok küçük kullanmayı düşünmeyin.

Sadece otopark sorunu vardı ancak Marmaris merkez de genel de oteller birbiriyle iç içe ve genelde Marmaris şehrinde otopark sorunu var. Onun dışında her konuda memnun kaldık, havuzu temizdi kullanisliydi, sabah kahvaltısı açık büfe ve yeterliydi, oda konforu, kliması, banyosu iyiydi. Denize yakınlığı, çarşıya yakınlığı cabasi, memnun kaldık.

Otelin konumu merkeze oldukca yakın. Çevresi gürültülü değil. Sabah kahvaltısı gayet yeterliydi. Bütün çalışanlar guleryuzlu ve yardimseverler. Fakat mutfak görevlisi ablanin adını unuttum kendisine ilgisi ve guleryuzu icin ozellikle tesekkur etmek isterim. Havuzda vakit gecirmeyi dusunenler güneşlenmek için güzel ama havuz derinliği 1.40 ve küçük. Odamiz küçüktü ama kuzenimle bana yetti. Tek rahatsız eden sey oda balkonunun insanların evleri ile karşılıklı ve çok yakın olması. Onun dışında biz gayet memnun ayrıldık ve tekrar kalmayı tereddütsuz düşünürüm:))

Yaşadığımız deneyim rezaletti. Şehir merkezinde konumu iyi olduğu için rezervasyon yaptırdığımız otel bize gerçekten hayal kırıklığı yarattı. Otelde temizlik namına hiçbir şey yok yataklar yaklaşık 20 yıllık klima çok sesli çalışıyor her yerde saç kılı vardı. Sabah kahvaltısından hiç bahsetmek istemiyorum ben böyle bir rezalet yaşamadım. Kahvaltı satmalarına hiç gerek yok siz de kahvaltısına kanıp lütfen burayı tercih etmeyin kahvaltıda hiçbir yiyecek bir şey yok kahvaltı saatlerinde aşağı indiğimizde kalmadığını ve tekrardan getirmelerini gerektiğini biz kendilerine belirtiyoruz hizmet sıfır kesinlikle deneyimlemeyin o kadar otelde kaldım bu kadar memnuniyetsiz ayrıldığım olmamıştı.

Otel çalışanları güler yüzlüydü. Odamız temizdi ve konforluydu. Havuzu temizdi ve güzeldi. Halk plajına oldukça yakındı ve çevresinde vakit geçirebileceğiniz alışveriş yapabileceğiniz yerler vardı. Havuz akşam 7 ye kadar açık. Sabah kahvaltısı açık büfe ve herkesin karnını doyurabileceği kadar çeşit var. 8-10 arasında kahvaltı edebiliyorsunuz. Otel içerisinde zaman gecirebileceğiniz havuz dışında aktivite yok ama zaten çevre otellerde de durum böyle. Fiyat performans olarak son derece iyi buldum. Otopark sorunu varmış ama yaya tatil yapan biri olarak beni alakadar etmedi. Herkese keyifli tatiller diliyorum.

Beklentimizi karşıladı

Şehir merkezine çok yakın olduğu için tercih ettik. Kahvaltısı güzeldi. Oda da temiz ve güzeldi. Sadece klimanın derecesi ve fanı ayarlanmıyordu biraz üşüttük. Resepsiyonu aradık fakat çözüm önerileri işe yaramadı.

Sadece bir gece uyumaya gitmek için tercih ettiğimiz bir oteldi. Çalışanlar çok güler yüzlü her sorununuzu çözmek için çabalayan insanlar. Odanın temizliği daha iyi olabilirdi. Sabah açık büfe kahvaltı gayet yeterli ve ürünler kaliteliydi. Fiyat performans olarak değerlendirildiğinde gayet güzel bir otel tavsiye ederim.

Arabanızla gelecekseniz park sorun. Çünkü merkeze yakın bir otel. Bunun dışında odaları biraz ufak ama temiz ve kullanışlı. Fiyat ve performans olarak iyi.

Merkezi konumda gayet temiz güzel bir otel ilk gün fazla kişi olmadığı için tabak da sıradan kahvaltı geldi, sonra ki gün açık büfe kahvaltı son derece yeterliydi. Odalar küçük ama vaktinii çoğunu gezmek için değerlendieenler için güzel havuzlu otel.

Ortalama otel ama ilgili personel

Öncelikle odalar küçük ve dar. Konumuysa çok iyi. Görevli arkadaşlara hangi sorundan bahsetsek hemen çözdüler. İlgili ve çözüm odaklıydılar. Kahvaltıları idare eder, erken saatte gitmeniz gerek aksi halde bir şey bulamayabilirsiniz. Oda kliması tavan havalandırması olduğu için ayar yapmak zor oluyor. Her şeye rağmen Marmaris’te gezip eğlenmeye bakan kişiler için ideal bir yer.

otelde 7 gün çift olarak konakladık. kaldığımız oda görselde görünenden fazlasıyla küçüktü hatta adım atacak, valizlerimizi açacak yer yoktu. en büyük sıkıntı soğutucu bir buzdolabı olmaması. soğuk suya hasret kaldık. kahvaltı verdiğiniz fiyata göre fazla bir şey beklemeyin. genel anlamda çalışanlar güler yüzlü. biz sadece gece yatmalık kullandığımız için bir sıkıntı yaşamadık ama otelde vakit geçiririm derseniz malesef problem. genel olarak fiyat düşük bu yüzden çok bir şey beklemeyin. verdiğiniz fiyata göre bir otel. çok rica ediyorum lütfen odalara mini buzdolabı koyun. gece yatmalık bir yer arayanlar için gidilebilir.

Good choice for short term city centre staying

Stayed in this hotel for a night during our one-day trip to Marmaris region and enjoyed our stay. For those who prefer to stay in a clean room in city centre, this hotel would be a good choice. Breakfast was ok but there was no parking lot in the area. Averall, I would recommend this hotel for short term staying in the city centre.

Super friendly staff, especially Murat from the front desk because he did a good concierge job for us and the lady from the breakfast service who has made an effort. But the hotel is aging and not maintained and it was not clean.

Odalar küçük otopark yeri yok, klima tek bi derecede çalışıyor soğuk. 9 dan sonra kahvaltıda bi'şey kalmıyor, yenilemiyorlar da çok gün kalınacaksa uygun değil. Olumlu yönü gayet temiz.

Está en el centro. Lugar muy bonito, pequeño, tranquilo y familiar. Cerca de la playa. Seguro que si vuelvo a Marmaris repetiría. Las camas muy cómodas. El aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente y la habitación tenía todo lo necesario para una estancia perfecta. El desayuno era muy completo y el personal muy servicial. Aparcar en las instalaciones no era demasiado fácil
