The hotel was overall in terrible conditions. The rooms were torn down! The AC was leaking creating puddles and all they did was bring a towel. The bathroom shower was holding on for dear life. We got the room with a balcony, but it was so sketchy I was scared the balcony was gonna fall at any second. I couldn’t even bring coolers or hot food into the hotel and they had no fridge. Over all I was cursing myself for not looking more Into the hotel before booking. Don’t make the same mistake I did!!!

A horror film

The worst hotel I have ever stayed! Old, rusty, smelly and there was a spring out of the mattress that hurt my leg! No way to use their old and nasty towels, I bought towels at the supermarket for my whole family. The swimming pool was so dirty that we avoided it! Noisy, smelly and rusty air conditioning. Please consider to take this hotel out of hotel.com

The negatives outweighed the positives

The only thing I liked was the ocean view and being a stone throw away from the beach. NOTHING ELSE. I came very close to cancelling, due to a few reasons inluding the room not being ready at the time indicated and even after they told me to come back and they still made me wait almost 30 minuits after. I kept having issues with the key card as well and my frustration level was getting a bit high. They kept my I.D without telling me and thought I had lost it before retracing my steps and leading me back to reception. They were not clear that they keep your I.D as guarantee, For what? no place has ever done this out of hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. I was also annoyed with their no outside food or drink policy, but I saw people with coolers in the pool. So pretty much you have to sneak in the goods like contraband. Honestly I would only return here out of sheer desperation.

Me gustó la amabilidad de los empleados. Son amigables y serviciales.No me gustaron las instalaciones. Son viejas y obsoletas. la piscina es vieja y se ve descuidada, el agua se ve turbia. No hay aire acondicionado en la recepción, ni en las áreas comunes, los elevadores están muy viejos. Los muebles de las habitaciones son del siglo pasado, en la tv de la habitación solo se ven 3 canales. La señal de wifi es totalmente inestable, intermitente, es inservible. la herrería del balcón de la habitación está vieja y oxidada. la apariencia exterior del hotel es de total abandono. En general las instalaciones del hotel son lamentables y deprimentes.

Stayed at El Presidente hotel in Acapulco. Old, dirty and bad service. Absolutely no money has gone into modernizing the hotel and this hotel was built in 1957! Have nothing positive to say about our stay there!

When we arrived to our room we noticed that our room had a rusty A/C until that was hanging on the ceiling that had been repaired with ducked tape. When I was about to go to sleep I noticed that my pillow had foundation and their was a handprint on the wall. We didn’t receive enough towels and we only got a bedsheet. I tried to shorten my stay at the hotel. A day before leaving I witnessed our vehicle being brought back the driver spoke to an employee and then they took back the car around after 20minutes. Right after we drove out of the hotel we were stopped by a crooked cope and tried to charge us 1500 pesos otherwise we was going to keep our drivers license. We said that we didn’t know what he was saying and requested that we’d go to the embassy. It was about a block away. Once we arrived I explained what happened and the cope removed the ticket without a charge.

The location was excellent, within close proximity to Starbucks for coffee. The view of the bay is amazing! The hotel had rules that prevented outside food from being brought into the rooms, which was inconvenient as I was traveling with an 85 year old grandparent.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Worst experience with a hotel ever, STAY AWAY!!! Room was disgusting! Bed was dirty, floor had sand everywhere, bathroom was falling apart and looked like it was from the 60’s, curtains were ripped and falling down, and to top it all off the room smelled like something died in it! We ended up checking out immediately after seeing the room and checking into Fiesta Americana down the street. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel, after hearing about our experience the upgraded us for FREE to a King Suite room!

Very old hotel, bad room conditions, no warm water on bath, A/C broken and no way to control the temperature. Door and windows rusted. The elevator that takes you to the beach was broken. The restaurant service was awful.

This location has no refridgerator, they do not allow you to bring food or drinks into your room. We asked for bigger blankets and was told they didn't have any. Horrible experience...couldn't buy anything from the people on the beach...had to go down into the sand.

Pretty disappointing

The hotel was a dump. For the money stay anywhere else. The room we were provided originally has a bad smell, we paid for an upgrade and got a really nice view of the beach. They didn’t come to clean the room, the elevator broke, so to go down you’d have to go up, the hotel needs a lot of repair. It’s a fine place if your just there to get drunk and party with friends I suppose but for a couples weekend it was a bad choice.

I stayed here is 1997, so I can say the hotel has known better times. Deposit is now required for swimming pool towels and remote control. Deposit required for iron, deposit surrendered if iron used more than two hours. Rooms have the same beautiful view of the beach. Good location, good swimming pool.

Great place to lay in the sun, play on the beach and go swimming in the ocean. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance and an abundance of inexpensive taxis to take you any place you want to go and Acapulco has lots to do. There are ocean excursions, shopping and cliff diving shows daily.

When we arrived into our first room we didnt have toilet paper so i asked for it and after 2 phone calls and 2 hours later they brought us paper but that wasnt the only issue we turned our AC on and it didnt work that took 3 hours to get it situated and they ciuldnt fix it so they had to cjange my room after they changed my room this room also didnt have toulet paper and the phone didnt work either i guess they put me there so i wouldnt bug them anymore anyway dont stay here the Grand Plaza hotel on the other habd is the best hotel in all of Acapulco

Horrible ! Conditions at hotel were not good at all. Door to balcony not locking. No mirrors, no hand towels. Air conditioning unit not working properly. Very noisy. Unable to sleep and rest well. Restaurant lacking proper menu. Whatever furniture there was it was old and ugly.

Will never stay at this dump again!

When we checked into the hotel, it wasn't quite 4pm however was told our room wasn't ready yet. Came back after 4pm and the room still wasn't ready yet. The pictures of the hotel do not justify this hotel...it is crappy - felt dirty the whole time I was there. The house keeper never gave us shampoo, soap, toilet paper daily. One day I had to call 3 times to have someone finally bring us toilet paper. Very disappointing!

We've stayed here twice and had the same room (upon request) and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff at the Lobby, Pool and Bar/Restaurant are very friendly and eager to assist, to make your holiday the best. Most of the staff were still there from last years' visit and were happy to see us again and we enjoyed seeing them. Our room had a the best view of the ocean and the beach... we couldn't of asked for better.

No toilet paper when we arrived. The front desk was rude when I called to request toilet paper. They took 2-3 hours to send up the toilet paper. They did so, only after we left the property and on my way out, I politely approached a man that looked to be the manager and explained/complained.

The room condition was atrocious. Stains on walls. Bend towel rack. No comforter on bed, only sheets. Bad pillows. Rough towels. No iron, even after requesting one.

This was my second time there(June-2015 first time) when I checked in on Jan-2016, I told to the the receptionist that in June, someone got inside my room at 1:30 am and please, be sure that nobody try to do it again and YES, somebody got inside again around 2am, seems that the graveyard receptionist send room attendants to inspect occupied rooms, very scary moments at times on the night-morning. Bad habit, management need to stop this asap. Please.

We booked our room around 2AM and got to the hotel around 3:30 AM
apparently mexico isn't prepared with online reservations so I had to email a copy of my hotels.com info to a very unhappy employee at the reception desk. The majority of the staff was very rude and unhelpful whenever we asked for something. Room was your standard-beds are hard, bugs in room, air conditioning is very loud. Elevator takes too long.
We stayed two nights and asked for housekeeping and they never came.
Great location, right on the beach and in the middle of the hotel strip. We will not be returning to this hotel.

We had booked 2 rooms... one facing the Bay and the other facing the hills. The room facing the Bay was a nice room with amazing views... only issue we had with that room was that the water was off in the bathroom but the staff took care of the problem fairly quickly. The second room (hills view) was much smaller and had issues with the AC leaking on the refrigerator so we had to change rooms... the new room was the same size (small) and had no refrigerator so we had to ask for a refrigerator to be added to the room. For $20 more the Bay view room was worth the extra cost. We also had the breakfast buffet which had typical mexican fare. The breakfast was good but when we got the bill it included an additional service fee which made it more than what the hotel advertised price was supposed to be... breakfast not worth the added costs. Overall a pleasant stay (in the Bay view room and not in the hills view room).

Good location. Beach has rocky area. Out first room had a broken AC so they moved us to another. The hotel room was simple, OK. Remember to bring shampoo, condition, toothbrush because theyre not doing you any favors. One elevator was broken so there was only one for the whole hotel. No room service, mediocre restaurant. Good location though, right on a busy strip. Noisy though. You get what you pay for.

good value for rate. excellent location next to top priced hotels. excellent security catering to families on beach vacations. Not a party hotel for singles. Hotel was not busy and could have provided an upgrade. Pool has beautiful view. Last stayed here in 1982 and operated by Fiesta Americana hotels.

The good, The bad and The Ogly

Great location and view, unfortunately the hotel is very run down, the phones didn't worked during my 5 days stay. We had water drainage problem in the badroom sink and shower.
No ice to be found, in a desperation, you could go all the way down to the bar to get a little plastic bag with few pieces of ice and on a couple of days they run out of towels at the pool which was very annoying.

For the price that we paid for this hotel, we were satisfied. This hotel has not had one single improvement made to it since in 60 years it seems. Choose another hotel

It is a beautiful location. But it is surrounded by hotels with working elevators, working internet in the rooms (you know because you can pick up the other hotel's internet--but you don't have the code) and recently painted. The hotel needs a lot of work. The worse part is that you could stay in a great hotel for the same price near by. We decided to leave even though we had paid for two days on Orbitz. Tip--if you don't know a hotel, just pay for one day until you see the actual place.

Everything was fine except the return taxi to the airport. We were told that the taxi would pick us up at 7:30. However, at 6:45 the driver came and told us that the flight was leaving earlier and we had to leave now. In the rush to the taxi as we were still in our room a pair of expensive glasses were left. When we got to the airport we found out that the flight was not early and actually was 45 minutes late.

El Presidente Hotel Acapulco

This has been my worst experience in a hotel stay. The room was not comfortable at all. When I tried to take a shower there was not hot water. I had to call the front desk and was told to run the hot water for 15 minutes. There were no wash cloths in the bathroom. The AC was very noisy and did not cool until late night. There are no hair dryers in the room. I called for a hair dryer on Friday and did not get one in the room until Monday and it did not work. This hotel is in very bad condition and the service is awful. Very poor lighting in the room. I was there for my son's wedding and the hotel catered the dinner. Half of the guests were sick the next day. Please take this hotel of your list. Very bad conditions and very bad service. I am just glad I will never visit Acapulco again.

This hotel was probably a good place to stay at in the 70's - since then it seems nothing has been done on it. Old fashioned furniture, some of it broken, walls improperly painted, etc.
The location was o.k. and we did have a good view on the bay / beach, but that's probably it.
We thought it's definetely not worth the price! Good that we stayed there just for a night.

Fantastic View and Great Location

The hotel is greatly located within walking distance of many great and diverse dinning, entertainment and shopping options. Ocean view rooms have the best bay view of Acapulco. Service was very friendly, especially from reservations manager [...]. I fully recommend it!

I choose this hotel on the previous good recommendation.This hotel is old and it shows it,the air condition barely works,metal furniture rusty,room not cleaned properly.

Traditional Hotel i.e. Old Hotel

We went as a business and a leisure trip. We arrived to an old hotel (I guess this is the equivalent of Traditional Hotel) without any remodeling. They sent us to a room that was already occupied. We said we would return @ 13:00 to see if the had the right room by then because we had thing to do. One room had a really big trouble to open the door, even the staff would take around 5 minutes to open it. They charge for local calls $1.50 USD. The rooms are REALLY small and the one they gave us was with the view to the hotel next to it (Fiesta Inn). For a tourist that doesn't know Acapulco \"Costera\" means the main street of Acapulco, where most of the hotels are on.
When cheking out, I was still reviewing my tab when they call another customer to wait on.

No hay desayunos, no me metí a la alberca, se veía sucia, en general por el precio está bien, pero no recomendaría quedarte aquí, no hay teléfono en la habitación, no hay room service, ni restaurant en el hotel, no hay área de fumadores, no hay bar, prácticamente es la habitación con aire que medio enfría, no hay agua caliente, sólo tibia así que si vas con familia no es recomendable para niños, el servicio de valet todo bien.
No puedes recibir a visitas, just informative.

Todo el hotel está en reparación y las habitaciones en mal estado, faltan llaves en la ducha, el balcón está dañado faltan plafones el los pasillos hay cobros adicionales que no están claros al momento de reservar, el personal de recepción poco tentó upsss y varias cosa mas
