It is conveniently located a block away from Malecon 2000 and it has food options within a block as well. It is rundown and in need of serious repairs. Amenities shown in Expedia, like a restaurant, are non existent. They were repairing the floors when we were there so hopefully it will get better. The lobby personnel were friendly and very helpful.

Segundo reserve algo y me dieron otra cosa.
Y eso que ya había pagado con anticipación
Deberían poner las habitaciones por separado
El internet pésimo
Pero ha pesar de eso trate de pasarla bien
No sé que pasaba con el aire q enfriaba poco
El ascensor sin manimiento
Deberían ambientar el cuarto por q olía a usado o a viejo
El cuarto bonito pero no me siento conforme por q reserve otra habitación y llegó y me dan la q no estaba

Room was dirty, roach in the bathroom, toilet seat broken, signs of mold in ceiling. Broken elevator had to walk up and down 7 floors. Staff never acknowledge or apologize about issues.
On the plus side, good location next to many amenities.

They said they did not have an accurately room when we arrived and it was because Expedia website had connectivity issues. We argued with the guy at front because they obviously sold our room to other people (we arrived at 22:40 at the hotel) they made us wait for 45 minutes and they gave us a room. Awful, disgusting behavior don't recommend this place to anyone.

It is located in the center of the city. Everything is easy accecible transformation, restaurants, banks , shopping centers. This is the 3rd time i have gone with my family to GUAYAQUIL and stayed in Malecon. The staff are friendly and very helpful not to mention free breakfast. The rooms are clean and in order as well. The hotel is to sleep and wash howvwr it has a nice living room area for guests . Which i used.

You get what you pay for

This is an average hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing special. I had booked a room with a double bed and the front desk gave me a family room with four beds. It was an interior room with no real windows and the air conditioner worked, but the temperature could not be changed.
Downtown is not the best place to be in Guayaquil. Overall the room was clean but showing its age.

This wasn’t a hotel it was a motel is nothing what the picture have it’s very dirty and old and Infestad it’s in a very bad Neighborhood Lots of trafficking going on no lights at the parking lot so very easy to get rob I don’t recommend this place to no one be careful

Fine for a few nights

Fine for a couple of nights. Room was clean and shower has got water. So much noise around the hotel and from other guest seeping through the walls throughout the night and early hours. Hotel in good location near shops and restaurants and the big shopping centre.

Malecon Inn in the heart of Guayaquil

I stayed at Malecon and it was convenient. In the heart of restaurants ,banks, stores,easy transportation taxis and the breakfast is included. Air conditioner and water runs well. It was hot outside the hotel. It was 90 degrees in December. Malecon Inn is a nice hotel to sleep and run your errands.

Convenient location

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Closed to malecon . Restaurants. Banks. It is easy to get to the north or south of the city. Continentak Breakfast is included .
Behind the hotel is the famous BAHIA . Which is a flea market. Just be cautious of pick pockets. But this is my second stay with family and friends.

Frumpy old hotel

Not a pleasant place. Ugly room, slow elevator, noisy AC, no water or pen in room, lousy breakfast, generally old, dirty, and unkempt. But typical for Ecuador.

Convenient, affordable and clean

I stayed at Malecon Inn for 10 nights, I was very hesitant since I read the reviews and they were not encouraging. However, I had a nice room with 3 beds since I traveled with my family, air conditioner, and very close to Malecon, restaurants, malls, and shopping centers. I did everything I had to do for 10 days. Visited friends and relatives.
and most important breakfast included and very economical. and also it has parking, laundry services, WiFi. Included in the price. My family and I were very happy for the 10 days.

Nothing like the photo

The reservation was lost or not received. I showed confirmation and they refused to accept it because it was not received directly from Expedia. Therefore they charged me more! The bathroom has mold in the showers. The water pressure is great but there was no control over the spray from the warn out shower head.

Bad hotel doesn't look like as advertised

Hotel shares floors and hallways with a parking garage and the rooms have irons gates overs the doors
so people that enter from the parking areas cannot break into rooms. There are people standing a waiting in the hallways that are not hotel guests. This hotel looks dangerous and does not look like the photos as advertised.

Worse experience ever:

Room without a window. Elevator only went to certain floors. Location was not where advertised. No one spoke English. Would've had to take a flight of stairs if I wanted to go use the elevator. Walls just painted \"apparently\", terrible odor throughout the place. It's more of a Motel that services by the hour. They took the pictures from another hotel. They don't even have a lobby. Just a counter in a corner with a regular bulb. It was a nightmare. Waiting to be reimbursed for my advanced payment.

It is a tired old hotel

Arrived 2 in the morning. Were put in a room with no windows. The next day the manager Michael asked if we would like a better room with windows, which we took. The room was a bit better than the other one but the noise from the street was very loud. These rooms and the whole hotel need remodelling . The free breakfast was bland and they had instant coffee ,yuuk. We needed a ride to a restaurant about 6 to 7kms away. They had a driver, not a taxi, take us there and back, 25 dollars, a bit high form such a short ride. The pictures on the website look good, don't be fooled. We would never stay here again unless they totally redid the hotel.
