Ive stayed in this hotel a couple of times. The staff are all very kind and speak English. The hotel is basically on the beach/marina. Very nice little town. The train station is 3 minute walk and the train to Rome is only 4 Euro. This little town has few tourist so its not very busy. It is about a 1/2 mile to the Sicilian American WWIi cemetary, very nice part of history.

the hotel is in good location and seeing the sunset/sun raise from the balcony is great.
the rooms are naked - no pictures on the walls, floor is cold and empty. shower is small. no coffee/tea machine or hot water kettle in the rooms
Gym - is okay. multi trainer is old and not really functional.
breakfast - no vegetables at all. but sufficient variety. (tables are a bit high for the chairs :-))
front desk are kind and smiley and if you have a question - they will do their best to assist.

The room was older but ok, it was spacious and the sea view spectacular, although a little noisy from traffic in the evening, it quietens down at night. The only disappointment was AC not working and we did have a few warm nights where it was needed. Breakfast was good with friendly service.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of a 16 day Italy trip to wind down and relax. Hotel is across the street from the marina and the beach is a block away. We stayed in room 502 which has a beautiful view with a small balcony (standing room only). King room was large, clean and comfortable. The TV was small but we didn’t use it anyway. Breakfast is included and has many fresh options. The hotel is a short 1 block walk from the train station which was very convenient. Would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Azzure Palace Hotel. Whilst I cannot really fault the room we had there - a corner suite which comprised a large bedroom, large sitting room with two sofas, tv, mini fridge and additional storage, a good sized bathroom with a bath; however the shower was just an attachment rather than a separate cubicle. It did take a long time for the water to run warm. The bed was very large and comfortable. There was a tiny balcony just big enough for the one chair that was provided, this overlooked the marina and seafront. No kettle for tea/coffee!
Breakfast was generally very good with a good choice. The lady who served us every day was extremely helpful (sorry I forget her name but know she was Hungarian), she was extremely busy and seemed to be on her own. It did seem slightly odd that the selection of juices were not labelled so you didn’t know whether you were getting orange or pineapple! Also there was no fresh milk for the cereal - you had to ask for this which gave the waitress even more work. There was also not enough tables some mornings which meant people had to wait.
The hotel is situated on Nettuno’s seafront opposite the marina; at night this area became a haven for street traders, lucky lucky men and street performers! There is also a bar opposite that had loud thumping music until the early hours of the morning on at least four of the 7 nights that we were there - a peaceful nights sleep we did not get!

All front desk staff speak english. This hotel is located in the best spot in the city, the closest you can get to the water. Walk across the street and you are there. Many restaurants, ice cream shops, markets and anything else you may want is right here. This place is 10x better then I expected. The train station is a 5 minute walk away and for 3 Euros you can catch a train to Rome. That ride is about an hour long and the trains run about every hour or so. Love it here.

Hotel is in a good location in Nettuno. Good breakfast service. Very close / Walking distance (5-10min) to very nice shopping areas. lots of restaurants in the area as well. Very friendly staff.
One challenge with the hotel is the parking as that the only available parking in on the streets. Hotel offers no parking areas or service. Account for that if driving and need to park.

Disappointed stay, hotel undergoing renovation

Disappointed that the advertised hotel parking was limited street parking in front of the hotel and full including a builders truck, was given €2 towards paid street parking by reception, not a problem as I found a nice space and was happy to pay for that at only €5.75 for the day.
We had a room with a sea view but it was obscured by the scaffolding around the hotel and the balcony was covered in dust and debris.
The air conditioning, main room lights were not working in the room and the shower hose leaked badly, did not bother to report to reception as only discovered this in the evening and only there for 1 night.
The reception guy was polite but a little sarcastic pointing out that we had not reported the issues, he offered a partial refund but then said he wasn’t able to do anything on the system as we had booked through Expedia, we had actually booked through hotels.com which I advised him and he told me to email the hotel with a list of the issues and they would resolve the problem, I spent some free time doing this and sent photos but they haven’t replied.
Disappointed as not up to standard for a 4 star hotel and more like a poor 3 star.
I work in maintenance and can see that the hotel is undergoing renovation and still trying to operate with certain facilities not in operation.

A very comfortable stay in Nuttuno...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Asturia Palace Hotel. The staff were very friendly and rooms were very clean as were the corridors. We had a lovely sea front view which was a joy on the mornings. Buffet breakfast was more than enough with a high standard of food and cleanliness. Guests were provided gloves for serving themselves and masks were required for staff and guests in these Covid secure times we find ourselves in. I cannot fault the five days I spent here and would gladly stay again.

This hotel is in a great location for Nettuno, but sadly the hotel is a little dated. The rooms are comfortable and basic, but more like a 2* or 3* property - definitely nowhere close to a 4* they claim to be. For British standards I would say it was more 3 Star than 4, however in Italy this is what I would expect. There were very few members of staff around but they were all fairly friendly. It was very peaceful and clean, which was a big plus and the breakfast buffet was very fresh. Overall it was a very nice place to stay in the enchanting little town of Nettuno

The Astura is a nice hotel overlooking the marina with a side view to the beach. Lots of good restaurants are nearby. The staff is great and helpful. The rooms are as shown in the pictures and very clean. . Breakfast is fine and in a sunny room overlooking the sea.
The only con is parking. The websites all say there is free parking BUT this means that there are 5 spaces for the whole 6 story hotel on the public street and anyone can park there. I never got one of these spaces and spent 40 minutes on a Friday night searching for parking. If you have a car, you may wish to stay else where. If you aren't driving, I highly recommend the Astura.
NOTE: if you do drive, the hotel is on a one way street. Other than the 5 spaces, all the public streets are pay parking at 1 euro an hour from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to midnight. There is a free lot though. If you drive past the hotel, take the first right and the immediate next right and then right away turn into a small one aisle parking lot. If you are lucky enough to find a space here, its free parking all day.

Beautiful hotel on the beach at Nettuno. My balcony doors opened toward the ocean. The room could get a bit warm for my liking (I was there in January, and I was used to the temperature hovering around 20F back home), so I kept the doors open a lot, which meant lots of wonderful, fresh ocean air. The staff was super nice and did some special favors for me (my being there in the off-season probably helped make that possible). The restaurant was only for breakfast, but there's a great burger and beer joint right across the street that is open late. I'd love to come back to Nettuno and the Astura Palace during the summertime.

Great location, reasonable size room. Turned on air con which didn't seem to work so well and sweated through the night. Informed reception in the morning hoping to get it fixed only to be told that we had to request air con be activated by reception on check in. Strange set up. Even though they advertise free parking, this isn't the case. There's room for about 5 cars in the normal parking out on the street and that's it. After that there's none. A bit of a nightmare and we felt a bit deceiving the way that 'free parking' is advertised. Other than those little things it's a reasonable place to stay and staff pretty good.

1. We stayed there in mid May in a very hot day. Even though there was an air conditioner in the room, the hotel was still in \"winter mode\" and it only heated. It was hell.
2. The bathroom is very small and not comfortable.

PAPER-THIN WALLS !!!!!!!!!!!

Only stayed one night after having almost no sleep the night before due to a very early morning flight. Went to bed at 11.15 and was still wide awake at 14.30 due to the noise coming from the room next door. It was as if they were in the room with me. Then they kicked off again at 07.20 so I had another miserable night of sleep deprivation. The walls in this hotel are made of paper!!
Such a pity because I enjoyed everything else, but if you can't get a decent sleep, what is the point in booking? I certainly won't be staying there again.

Very good buffet breakfast, lots of choices and they will cook eggs any way you wish. Staffwas very friendly and multi-lingual. There is lunch and dinner service ( not included in the room rate) in summer only
The hotel is located on a very busy street but traffic noise was not a problem. It was very quiet after 10:00-11:00 . Weekend nights were a little noisier, but again did not disturb sleep. Beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very tiny, but always quite clean. The biggest issue was parking. The staff was very helpful with regard to that.....there a 4 designated \"hotel\" parking spaces, plus about 10 \"free\" spaces nearby.
All in all, a very good choice for us. I would recommend this hotel. A good value and the beach is just across the street.

Stayed overnight and this hotel is perfect with a beautiful sea facing view. Busy town and lovely old town. Near the WW2 cemetery within walking distance, 200 metres from shrine, markets in front of hotel with plenty of shops and restaurants. The only problem is parking...... there are only 4 spaces (3 if poorly parked!) outside and this meant looking for parking which was close by however the next day we got a ticket!!! The hotel staff helped us to ensure the payment was paid and they were very helpful in every way. Great breakfast.

Although the location of this hotel is ideal, the initial room they tried to put 3 adults into, was way to small. They put us in a room with a cot in the center of the room, so that no one could even walk or put any clothes into the closets. I complained and they gave me a new room, which was vetter, however the air conditioning did not work. This was by far the worst room we stayed in throughout our entire trip in Italy. Several people came in to try to fix the air conditioning, no one succeeded. It was mid 90's during my stay and completely uncomfortable...do not stay here!

Despite the hotel booking description, there is no parking available rather than 5 spot on the street for the hotel guest.
Fortunately just behind the street there is a free parking where park your car.

The hotel look is quite old style, and the decision to have the restaurant at the 5th floor make the lobby quite desolated.
Anyway, the staff was courteous and the room was huge and clean.
no complain at all.
I you plan to spend some time in this nice small town just in front of the sea, this structure have to be included in your trip.

Yes, after staying at this hotel 5 years ago, we returned because the bread served at the breakfast was the best bread we'd had on that trip. The bread has changed, but it's still delicious. This hotel offers one of the best breakfasts we had on both trips.
We arrived in Nettuno on a rainy Saturday and wondered what had happened to the town since the last time we were there. Sunday, the weather cleared up and the people came back, making the town much more inviting.
The room was basic, clean and comfortable. The view from our room was lovely as was the view from the breakfast room on the fifth floor.

A big surprise! I have experienced many hotels and places to stay in Italy since 1957. Astura Palace is very high on the list. And it is bang up to date. I booked a single room, but it had everything, including a balcony. I have difficulty in walking, so they positioned me unasked next to the lift - a position which risks being noisy, but I did not hear a thing. The breakfast is plentiful: a generous selection of the usual fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses, eggs done as you wish, etc. The dining room staff were superb in my experience. The hotel's location is also good - on the recently developed promenade, which comes to life about 6pm for the passagiata. The hotel is central to the town, and very near the railway station - a train every hour from and to Rome Termini. Not that it is practical to use Nettuno as a base for visiting Rome. Nettuno in general, for the tourist's needs, is cheap by any standards.

I am elderly and the town suited me very well. Youngsters would not go there anyway. I was the only foreign tourist I could see. Italian families were much in evidence in Nettuno - many of the entertainments on the prom are designed for small children.

I have read some other reviews. In the light of their content verb. sap.: it is Italian after all. Why go abroad if you expect Little England to be everywhere? (A propos, the English of the staff was good.)

Message to hotel manager: please don't spoil it all by sending one of those automatic email type treacly replies.

Comfortable Beach Access

The room we had was clean, spacious and mostly comfortable. The bed wasn't of the highest standard but good enough for a short vacation.

The breakfast and service was better than adequate. It wasn't five star but sufficient to hold any one's appetite until lunch.

The lobby, which is clean, spacious and comfortable to sit, was almost always vacant despite the number of guests. The front patio is another unused area but it too offers a place to rest and enjoy the main street activities.

avoid the floor beneath the dining room.

Holiday 1 night on way to Rome. Nice hotel and breakfast was fantastic. Close to harbour, old city. Only complaint is we were on the fourth floor which is below the dining room. This meant we were woken early in the morning by activity going on in the dining hall. Air con didn't seem to be working well and temperatures were 35 degrees Celsius outside. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ok for one night for us.

Good value, courteous staff

Great hotel right on the water. Couldn't figure out how to work the air conditioning but the sea breeze was pretty cool so no big deal. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was okayish. You can get scrambled eggs but only if you ask for it. Nice view of the water from the breakfast area. The hotel is very nicely located. Close to the old town and the promenade is right across the street. Nice gelateria next door. Only one English speaking channel (Sky News) but I didn't go there to watch TV. In terms of swimming, the water was warm but very salty. All in all, a great place to stay for the money.

Great hotel situated directly opposite the Marina. I was on the top floor & had nice sea view and small balcony. Only complaint was that the air conditioning in my room didn't work and it was very hot - really needs to be fixed. But that aside the service was nice and the breakfast no to bad either. Would stay again...

South to the American Cemetery in Nettuno

I had a very nice trip to Nettuno, finding the train is really easy. I did some research before hand, and with the assistance of Goggle Earth and Expedia identified where I was interested in staying close to the Cemetery. The hotel is located in the ideal location, near the beach and restaurants.

In the heart of the Nettuno with wonderful views

Very kind staff. Rooms were better than average for a small town hotel. Very busy because of festival to celebrate military event but were able to accommodate our unique needs for booking/parking. Breakfast was substantial with typical Italian pastries, sausage and eggs to order. Room was acceptable...bathroom lacked proper hairdryer and shower was less than ideal. However, all necessities were provided and we enjoyed our stay.

Astura Palace Hotel

The Astura Palace Hotel is located in Nettuno overlooking the marina. Unfortunately I did not have a room with much of a view but the breakfast area, on the 5th floor, has a very nice balcony and an amazing view as well as an excellent choice of breakfast foods. The hotel is very well maintained and is located a few blocks from the train station from which you can travel to and from Rome's central station (Termini). Nettuno is a nice town full of nice shops and a number of restaurants. They have a post office beyond the main shopping district and, if you are planning on sending postcards, they will cost you 2 euros each to send to the U.S. and be prepared to take a number and stand in line. However, the hotel does offer to take care of mailing for you if you so choose to do so. The service is great and the people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. It is a very nice place to stay. When making reservations, ask about their business rates.

Nice Nettuno Hotel

This hotel is well situated, within easy walking distance of the town of Nettuno, the beach and railway station. It has a lovely traditional Italian feel, good sea views and the buffet breakfast will set you up for the day.
