Wonderful hotel and the location is great. Only gave 3 stars for comfort because we visited in March and our room was terribly hot. No air con in March, per hotel staff, so we had to keep windows open while sleeping. Breakfast buffet was not good, so skip it unless its included in you stay. Surrounded by high end stores and minutes from St Marks square and restaurants. Waterbus stop right in front of hotel. Very convenient.

Hotel Monaco is in a really great walkable location to everything in San Marco. Upon arriving the hotel looks beautiful and when we got to our room the suite looked amazing! BUT the one thing that took away leaving a perfect review was the bed. It was so uncomfortable the bed springs were poking us through the sheets in some areas. It’s such a let down sleeping on a bad mattress. Me and my wife’s backs were killing us throughout our stay. It doesn’t appear we lucked out with the one room with bad bed. We found a bunch of reviews where people complained about the same thing. I highly would not recommend this place if you are looking to get some good sleep!

After having stay at the Londra Palace on many occasions I found this gem that is perfectly located just couple of steps from St Mark square, very large and comfortable rooms with excellent service, if I had any recommendations it would be to have more choices on breakfast eggs. A great buffet breakfast which should have been included with the very expensive room. They nickel and dime you to death. No worries, we would not return or recommend.

The hotel itself is stunning. Beautiful. Most of the staff were lovely. A few were a little rude. They offer a free boat ride to Murano. It was awful. Think a really awkward time share presentation. You are dropped off at a glass shop and they were rude to the point of bullying. We ended up buying a few earrings and bracelets and they overcharged us for them. I don’t recommend the free bit to Murano at all! It was a horrible experience. Over all, loved Venice. The room was stunning. The location fabulous. Just don’t do the free boat!!!

We went for the biennale to Venice. It was our first time in Monaco Hotel. We arrived early morning to the hotel, the room was ready and we checked in…. We have also been upgraded to a suite which was available…. The room was spacious and had nice and big bathroom. We absolutely loved everything about Hotel Monaco, our room was beautiful, the staff was very friendly & helpful and the location was perfect. The only downside was the bed, it was hard as rock, we were so sore the next day, neck, shoulders and hips. We enjoyed Venice so much that we decided to stay another night and thought maybe they could put a mattress topper on but they were fully booked but said to check back in later in the morning incase any rooms got cancelled. Came back later and they offered us a major upgrade at an amazing deal it ended up being the best room in the hotel. Better bed pillows and mattress. Also a note to our concierge young guy who gave us a recommendation to the restaurant Al Paradiso was the most amazing meal and we’ve had in Italy.

A fantastic location to be sure. Very clean and trendy. Staff is a little stiff but pleasant. We have stayed in other upscale hotels in the area and would likely choose to return to one of them over this property. Rooms are so small and amenities lacking for the price. Again staff was not rude but really could have been more welcoming.

The hotel is in a very good location, few minutes walk to St. Mark's Square and gondola ride is available right in front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent and very satisfying. The rooms were sort of dated but very clean and room was cleaned every single day. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Venice.

We had a room with a canal view which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to St. Marks Square if it is your first time there for sightseeing and the water taxi is right out the door....a very easy and efficient way to get around the island.

Perfect location for a Venetian Hotel
I’ve stayed in other Venice Hotels that were so far away from the boat dock that we got lost trying to find it after flying all the way from Los Angeles. The experience we had this trip was truly amazing. We stepped off our taxi and right into the lobby of the Hotel Monaco. The lobby and rooms are modern Venetian in design and have all the amenities. Harry’s Bar is next door, as well as St. Mark’s Square but the hotel is amazingly quiet. I will definitely stay there again!
