The room was very clean, but the hot water was caution bowl and the parking amenities were impossible. And to pay a lot of money for a hotel room per day and then have to pay $25 per day to park your car which is blocks away. That’s kind of rough.

The hotel is currently part hotel and part section 8 housing. The room fortunately was fine and comfortable, but the hallways and other parts of the hotel seemed as if they were falling apart, and there was constantly an unusual smell of cleaning fluids permeating the hallways.

Overall great value. Overall a good stay with a few things. The room looks like it was furnished with sheets and window dressings from Walmart. No black out shades or room darkening so you’re up with the sunrise whether you want to or not. The blow dryer filter was filthy a sure fire hazard. Some nasty hair and dirt came out of the drain while in the shower. No desk or chair of any kind in the room. Each morning I went down for coffee and there was an empty pot. The bar was not open at any time throughout the weekend.

My husband and the dog were denied at the time of check in. Where ever you have written in your website that you don’t take dogs over 35 lbs was hidden. You are not a full Hotel, you are section 8. I should have known that. Your staff was very condescending and firm and was not helpful with another alternative or solution. They were kicked to the curb. And because it was booked through Hotels.com and that makes it a third party I’m out of luck. Believe me they will hear from me as well. My husband had to turn around and go home. It was ok for the one night we needed. The Room was missing a night stand and the sink a plug. It is an older hotel, so the tubs drain was outside of the tub not obvious but once you found it, I you could drain the tub after your shower. You can tell the hotel that had some renovations but definitely not as the pictures described. The air fresher in the lobby was really strong. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was like staying in a college dorm room. Mattress was terrible, pillows were small throw pillows, heat did not work, then when it did had to use the AC to cool it off. Water in bathroom sink had no pressure. It trickled out. TV had no local channels and impossible to figure out. Had to get wash clothes and no hand towels were given. Overall we could not wait for our stay there to be over. It’s too bad since there are not a lot of choices in Long Beach.

We left a night early wish I could say it was fine

I wish I could say good things about the Long Beach Hotel-- but we actually left a day early, we were so eager to get out. Our room was called a \"deluxe queen suite.\" It was a tiny room with 2 queen sized beds. I'm sure it once was a suite-- but they locked the door to that adjoining suite room, which meant it felt like the people in the \"next\" room were standing in the middle of ours. Anything they said or did, we could hear. We kept the white noise on our ipad all night so we could sleep.

There is no breakfast. Parking is $25, but you can park on the street if you find available spaces (we did). The elevators are beyond tiny. The rooms did not feel clean, and there was a pipe sticking up in the middle of our bathroom.

I know this place could have a vintage vibe and beachy charm-- it just needs a makeover, some upgrades, and TLC. Till then, and till the room/noise issues are resolved, it's simply not a place where anyone would want to stay--. Hope they do renovate!

The hotel is spotless and aesthetic in decor. Our room was spacious and, to our amazement, had a full sized refrigerator which we used. The staff is friendly. The hotel was quiet and immaculate. We shall return during the Christmas season.

For a lack of better terms, the place is a dump. Creaky wooden stairs, filthy blue carpet, no amenities, room was a creaky old wooden floor, toilet handle was broken.

Very close to the beach, which I guess is why they can charge almost $200 a night, but this is a 1 star hotel.

Our party left a night early and got a Motel 6 for 1/3 the price with a better room and beds. They should really put some money into at least cleaning the carpet on the stairs and in the hallways because it's disgusting.

Lobby is pretty and that's about it. Elevator is sketchy, carpets in hallways are dirty, hallways smell bad, room is strange for a \"hotel\". Seems like an old pre war apartment building turned into a hotel and not well renovated. Lucky I was staying alone because the bathroom door didn't close all the way. Toilet barely flushed. No hot water in shower. Air conditioner directly above the bed blowing on my head all night, so I had to pile pillows on my head to keep cold air out of my ear. Couldn't turn off AC because of sign in the room saying I had to keep temp between 69 and 71... Couldn't even open windows to freshen the air. I killed a roach in the bathroom. I ended up cutting my trip short specifically because I couldn't bare another night there. When I got home my husband asked me if I had food in the car and I smelled like onion rings. Now... It was the smell that stuck to me from the hotel room.

The first room we checked into had a large gap in the window with no screen to keep out bugs, birds or bats. They were able to accommodate us in another room and our stay was pleasant. Although the rooms are described as all having spa tubs, this was not true they were just regular tubs.

The building is old. They AC unit was attached to the window so your curtain cannot be use as a curtain. The room bright when the sun is out because of the placement of the AC. Rooms are very small and you can hear the people from outside. It is a little challenging to find a parking spot.

I would say the property was clean, rooms could’ve been tad bit cleaner. I was disappointed in the size of the room, felt more like a bed room than a hotel room. Just a bed and bathroom. The window had an air conditioner in it so couldn’t look out the window it felt like I was in a box. The hallways were very narrow and other rooms too close in proximity. As soon as you open the door the room across is literally 1foot away. The rate was not worth the stay. I payed $600 for two nights honestly wasn’t worth the cost. The keys didn’t work causing check in to be delayed 15 minutes till the issue was rectified. The best think about the hotel was the area and nearby beach.

Section 8 is allowed and that made the property very noisy. The room above us was up the entire night moving furniture around. The night staff was not accommodating, however Kelly and Benji were apologetic and kind for the inconvenience. The hotel is dirty, carpets worn, but our room itself was clean.

The intent of this stay was an easy overnight beach day. Within an hour at the hotel , I realized quite a few guests were homeless. Come to find out the hotel accepts vouchers for homeless. Had I known, I definitely would have booked elsewhere, I mean I paid 200.00 for an overnight stay. I’m a native NYer and empathize with the homelessness crisis in NY , but again I would not CHOSE TO Stay had I known. I wonder if my card would of declined , would I be offered a free night 😂

Disgusting hotel, with full time tenants that seemed unsafe, filthy, not one single parking spot within blocks, and the rooms had been recently smoked in (cigarettes and weed). I didn't even stay, and was not issued a refund. It was a horrible experience and I will be contacting the better business bureau on both, Long Beach Hotel, and cheaptickets.com.
