The hotel is beautiful. Grounds are beautiful and great views. Room is spacious and very comfortable, but several things missing to be 4 starts like they claim.

- kitchens are not to the standard. Not healthy food and not well prepared.
- they have a “private beach” that is pretty but not maintained. Is full of duck poo and by the looks never cleaned.
- the rooms water boiler was all rusty and was unusable.
- a lot of youth being employed, that are not well trained, so not great with guests.

I still enjoyed my stay and just didn’t eat there anymore .

We went for a couples getaway and had a lovely time. The resort is clean and cozy. We stayed in one of the Terrace rooms and it was large and comfortable, although decor and fixtures were dated. The restaurants on site were both good and reasonably priced. Golf was nice - also a reasonably priced lovely 9-hole course. Front desk staff were fantastic. I do wish they had a bigger pool area, and a hot tub would be great too after a round of golf. I was also disappointed that the spa didn’t have RMTs for massage.

We enjoyed driving into nearby Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon for some meals and shopping and walks along the boat locks.

Overall, it’s a relaxed vibe, cozy and clean, although a bit dated, but staff are great and the price is too!

Food is good. I had issues with the door lock. Getting in and out of the room was an issue. Had to call front desk to open it. Staff are not helpful. Cleaning staff changed the towels but did not replace them. Spa has a pool. They keep the pool area locked even if spa staff are there. Spa staff cannot unlock. Go to front desk. Facilities are run poorly.

We had a very relaxing stay. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Added touches - they provide bathrobes and left delicious chocolate treats in the fridge for us to enjoy. Which we did while sitting out on small patio outside our room overlooking the lake.
Our afternoon drink on the pub patio was great - we loved listening the 90’s playlist while we supped local craft beer. Our supper in the dining room was excellent.
Only complaint is that there were a Lot of Canada Geese on grassy area leading down to the small beach area. Had to be careful where you stepped!! That’s living in Canada where we have to share some outdoor space with the wildlife!

This property is incredible! Hotel has it all. Big wonderful well appointed rooms, great restaurants and amazing service. At night there are often deer roaming around. The history of the property is also fascinating to learn about. Can’t wait to stay again.

I booked myself a solo getaway and absolutely loved my stay. I stumbled across this place by chance and booked on a whim! I'm glad I did.The room was absolutely beautiful, and the view from the terrace was unbelievable. One of my favorite parts was having my morning coffee out there admiring the view and watching the sunset. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious!

I also really enjoyed my spa treatment, and the entire spa area was fantastic. So many options to choose from, including various services, the saunas, steam room, and pool.

I’ll definitely be returning and plan to make this a yearly getaway for myself. See you next year!

A return visit to Eganridge after a few years (2021 the first time). A lovely stay in many ways...comfortable bed, nice view of the lake from the Terrace rooms...Jacuzzi tub, spacious room and bathroom with separate shower, amenities like bathrobes and slippers...staff very accommodating in arranging a late check-out and holding on to my luggage, since I was meeting friends that afternoon for a round of golf. But the place could definitely use a spruce up, showing its age, especially for the prices being asked.

I recently stayed at Eganridge Resort and unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by their listing on Expedia. The website highlights a private beach and pool, but in reality, the “beach” is just a small, unkempt patch of shoreline that should not be marketed as a proper beach. The “pool” is actually a plunge pool, which is very different from what guests would reasonably expect—this needs to be made clear upfront.

The toiletries were very limited and not replenished during the stay, which was disappointing as I certainly wasn’t going to use what appeared to be leftovers from previous guests. Overall, the service and amenities did not align with the price point.

The property itself is beautiful however the hotel and restaurant are very dated and in need of repairs. There was not enough staff and we witnessed many frustrated, angry guests. The spa was wonderful and well staffed. Billing system upon checkout is also painful. We checked out 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for additional charges to be explained and or deposit returned!

Unfortunately the sofa bed which was supposed to sleep two was so horrible 2 of us slept on the floor. They had no bedding for it and I had to get them to find something to use. Staff were nice to help but really the extra sleeping was worse than I have seen in crack motel rooms. Come on Eganridge, you can do better and have been better in the past

The property is very charming and had a lovely visit at the spa. Would want to stay here again for sure. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. Not enough staff working and they were out of most items we selected. We ordered a bottle of wine and took 4 attempts before they had one in stock and it arrived after our meal was finished. I felt bad for the person serving us as she had the entire dining room and bar to manage by herself.

Great: location, quality of the maintenance facilities (except for docks), very nice and helpful Staff. We found breakfast service nice, but very very disorganized, and therefore unreasonably overpriced! The Restaurant needs to invest in a modern urban quality coffee maker, especially a proper espresso machine used these days in restaurants and coffee shops that charge this much for coffee in addition to the poor quality drip coffee maker that to some will suffice. The shift Manager needs to be more proactive in more efficient organization of the breakfast service. With very few tables taken, we waited for half an hour for very simple eggs dishes, and coff. In case the same Food & Beverage Manager is also responsible for the dinner, we decided not to risk, and not to overspend, and instead drove to an outside restaurant. This I consider very bad, especially if the Management of the Resort is not prepared to pay enough attention to the opportunity to improve the quality of breakfast service as it strongly discourages us from dinning at their restaurant, unless they make special announcement about improvements in the management of the food and beverage service, including breakfast service. Another strong weakness is the docks/marina area. In contrast to the rest of the facilities, Looks dilapidated and abandoned, certainly prohibitive for those who are looking for a decent, even if simple, docking experience with a boat. The docking does not seem easily accessible either.

The staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. My terrace room was comfortable and nicely appointed. I enjoyed sitting on the patio taking in the serenity and appreciated the fireplace when the weather changed overnight.

The bedding is a nice quality, as was the bathrobe. The dining room is lovely, ans is the choice of music, and my server, Adina was gracious and attentive, not hesitating to consult the chef with my questions. Adina gets high marks, as does the chef. My beef rib ragout was delicious.

The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the toilet handle, which was loose and needed replacement, and what sounded like a vapour lock when I turned on the shower in the morning, presumably the room hadn’t been used in a while considering the season. The maintenance man seemed to take that seriously and said he’d look into it immediately. I was only there one night, but I’m sure those minor things were remedied. Otherwise, the toiletries were nice quality. They may want to consider putting bath foam to use in the jacuzzi, but even without it was very relaxing.

The overwhelming first impression was that I was staying in The Overlook from The Shining. Admittedly, I was there in late March, so it's the off season. The hotel was undergoing major renovations so the hallways were filled with tools, materials, and the smells of varnish and sawdust. Breakfast isn't served until 8:30, so that's a non-starter for anyone needing to get to work. Food at dinner is \"boil in a bag\"--literally. It was edible but definitely not worth the price. Went to the bar once for \"Happy Hour\" --no one working there could tell me what the happy hour specials were. No housekeeping services done over my 4 day stay.

Our room was nice and met expectations. More temperature control of the room would have been better or to turn on a fan. We had to open our sliding door to cool the room more. We enjoyed playing the golf course. However we didn't have anything to do after golf. The website made reference to walking the grounds, but there is no map of the grounds. Only place we saw to walk was in the subdivision of homes. We are early risers as well, thus waiting until 8:30am for dining room to open for breakfast was inconvenient. Overall the food in the dining room was good, but too expensive .

Both my husband and I loved absolutely everything about this property! The rooms are well maintained, clean and super comfortable. The staff was amazing, super friendly and welcoming. We loved it so much we went back twice in one week!

Only thing that I found disheartening was the lack of recycling. In 2022 there should be more recycling options readily available. Aside from that you bet we will return!

Booked this property as they state are pet friendly, for a fee of 25$. Called their reception right after the booking to confirm that we are bringing our dog. They said it’s confirmed, no problem. Afrer check out, they charged me 75$ for a dog they weren’t aware I was bringing. I had to pay for their unprofessional service. Beware!

My wife and I booked a two night stay at Eganridge. Overall our stay was enjoyable. The resort is close to Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls - both pleasant and quaint towns to walk around and shop.
We found the staff both pleasant and accommodating and we were treated like welcome guests.
As nice as the facility is there were some issues with maintenance and upkeep.
We had an issue with the AC not working and we were given another room when they checked and confirmed.
The rooms are dated and in need of a facelift. The furniture (curtain rods, chairs, rugs, luggage caddies) really need to be replaced.
The beds are comfortable and the jacuzzi was very nice.
The pool deck has many cracked and wobbly paver stones and needs attention.
The view and the grounds are lovely. Coffee on the patio outside our room overlooking the lake was very nice.
We ate our meals at the restaurant and all were very good although I found the breakfast over priced however enjoyed eating in the nicely appointed historic old barn with wonderful lake or golf course views and a wonderful ambiance.
There were a lot of new staff getting prepared for the summer rush and they all did their best to be professional and were very friendly under the mentoring of the veterans.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but found the rooms were in need of updating and repair.
The resort still shows it's historical and past beauty however looks a little tired and needs some attention to detail to bring that back.

Booker beware: this is a highly unpredictable property with volatile and confrontational manager, Jason. They seem out for short-term money without regard for long-term customer relationships.
We had a horrible experience with the manager, Jason who I’m sure will prove my point in a response to this review. We were downgraded from a cottage to a regular room without notice on arrival (no advance notice) due to their pre-planned maintenance. Since we didn’t enjoy the regular room, we checked out a day early. The front desk did not inform us that we would be charged for our entire 2-day stay in a room we had not booked, and according to Jason it is not their responsibility to make sure you’re aware of this. We were then told that any changes or cancellations must be done with 7 days notice, or no refund. I messaged Jason with my concern and received a completely unprofessional and confrontational reply telling me I was in the wrong for violating their cancellation policy even though I was not given the opportunity to exercise my right to the 7-day cancellation policy due to their lack of communication. Again, buyer beware. You won’t know what you get until you get there and are out hundreds of dollars.

I had a king size terrace room ground floor facing the lake with a patio. Beautiful room & views. Wasn't there for the activities but for a wedding but it did look as if there was lots to do with tobogganning, snow shoeing etc. The corridor outside the 2 floors of rooms was chilly, not fully enclosed & insulated but the rooms were toasty. The staff were all exceptional. I felt like they were friends. All the meals we had were wonderful so the cook is great. & gave us a bit of leeway on Sunday morning for breakfast as we had had a late night.

At first glance, everything appeared cleaned - however there was an overall lack of attention to detail. We had two adjoining rooms. The fancy chandeliers in both rooms were quite cobwebbed. General maintenance and upkeep showed the same lack of attention to detail. If this had been a less expensive property, I might have forgiven the latter. The dining options were less than satisfactory. We opted for the patio and they were out of many menu items. Even Lemonade.

Beautiful grounds, beautiful views. Beach is full of geese poop. No lounge chairs on the beach, so it is your choice - lie down on top of that \"treasure\" or do not use the beach... We supposed to have a bonfire every day, but on the first day we were told that there are not that many people (not enough to have a bonfire), the next day it was raining and the third day when ppl were enjoying bonfire, at 11 pm we were told that we have to leave because the stuff wants to go home... Saturday night? We were stunned. Felt like we are in kindergarten ... Was not friendly. Food is below average. Poor selection. Main dish is spaghetti and side dish is spaghetti. Creativity stops there. No desire to go back.
