Hotel looked abandoned, had to check in at the bar in another building. When we got in our room most of the lights didn’t work, the smoke detector was missing, there were BAD stains on the carpet, etc. we made the decision to go find a different hotel for the night as we did not feel safe staying there.

The Expedia rating score that gave me confidence to book this for one night, HAS to have been padded. It has now tarnished a pretty good record of being trustworthy. I drove past the first time, as I couldn't imagine even a cheap motel being there. I'm not delicate, and am pretty flexible. But was just like a seedy longterm low rent backwoods joint. The room was almost ok, but I did not feel entirely safe for me or my vehicle, the room smelled, and every amenity - inside & out -was sub par. Don't believe the good reviews. Yuck.

Great Gravity Inn

I was very happy with the stay at Gravity Inn. Great basic motel at the right price. I would definitely stay here again. The associated restaurant is bonus. Ate here and the food is very good. I didn't find anything that would prevent from staying here again.

Arrived very late to a welcoming host, easy check in/out. Room was quiet, comfortable and ultra clean. Only complaint was it has been smoked in, but balanced with an amazing view of the milky way and some shooting stars, decided to let it go.

Good place. Out of the way in a good way. Nice and quiet, beds are comfortable cleaning women does a good job. She is friendly the restaurant is a 1000 feet an away and has an amazing Ruben sandwich plus some other really great food!! The bartenders were very nice and helpful. I had a problem with my debit card and she trusted me to come back and take care of it. I wish I remembered her name. Sorry Mrs. Bartender but TY for that. Hope to see you soon.

This was our second stay and for the price it is a good deal. We had dinner in tbe restaurant and the food was good, our waiter nick was awesome he made sure our. Dinner was enjoyable, would eat there again.

It was nice stay with some amenities that were unexpected: mini fridge and microwave which were not mentioned on the Hotels.com (would have been nice if it was mentioned so we can prepare for our food).
Room was clean and cozy compared to the price except a mosquito and an ant we found.
Over, we really like it and would to ld go back again if we have another opportunity.

We bring our own sheets, pillows, blankets and towels, but outside looks so lonely and scary looking. You got to go to the restaurant to get your keys after hours n there's no mention of that.

Rural location Cocktails available within 100 yards.
Clean unit. Very fluffy towels. Comfy beds.
Management considers renter's requests and attends to them appropriately.
Did not like entrance road, missed turn thinking it was private property of a garage. In fact the road continues back along side of the garage.

If you need only economy, this is an option. Check-in is at the bar across the parking lot. The room was okay. TV was small and was set for showroom display, blocking a strip at the bottom of the screen. Walls are very thin between rooms (I will spare you the details.)

Gravity Inn is not fancy but is a family owned business (3 generations) that provides a comfortable, affordable, home-like atmosphere. The food at the restaurant on site is wonderful. Worth a trip to Waymart just for a meal

Although the property does not look nice from the outside, inside it was welcoming, extremely clean and with great amenities like good soaps, mints, warm, fuzzy blankets and THE BEST pillows! Check in at the bar was inconvenient. They should consider key pads. Cliff, the manager, although not present on site, responded instantly to texts.

Off the beaten path, but perfectly acceptable. We only stayed one night... the accommodations were modest and comfortable. The property was beautiful, with a view of the river, and there was space to walk our dog. There were two firepits outside for evening camaraderie. Hancock is a cute town; we attended a musical performance in the town square/park and had a wonderful time. Staff is terrific. :-)

The property condition could use a make over but the rates would not be as favorable. The parking lot/entry road is dirt and VERY rough and our new clean vehicle came out looking like we were in the dust bowl. It's not bad if you are a smoker and want to join the chain smokers just outside your door. Safety could be an issue due to the location and layout.
