We watched the Hollow monkeys for hours there were so many of them in the trees and listening to them at night was simply beyond anything you can imagine the customer service at the resort was amazing and we felt like we were in heaven

Outstanding stay at Copal Tree Lodge! What a wonderful and special place, with fantastic food and service. We stayed in the Canopy Suite and loved the views from both the room and the infinity pool. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone!

I was a solo traveler and had an excellent time! The room was beautiful and I really appreciated the hammock in the screen porch and the shower view of the jungle! Staff was so friendly, lots to do but also beautiful venue to relax as well. Would recommend the healing nature walk with Elon to learn about native jungle plants used for medicinal and traditional healing!

Staff was very friendly. Views from the room, restaurant, and infinity pool were amazing, and the room was very spacious and comfortable.
However, the shower only had hot water for 5-10 minutes. The trolley to the river was broke, so we walked up and down 180 steps every time we went to the river and hiking trails. At the river, there was no staff to assist with launching the kayaks. Overall, hotel provides a great experience. Just be prepared to climb alot of steps and bring plenty of mosquitoe repellant. You'll also need to bring your own screens if you want to watch tv.

Didn't live up to our expectations

The staff are very friendly though the service is variable and often slow. The furniture in the rooms needs updating. Inconsistent pricing with the wines. Different price in the bar to the restaurant. 30 dollor difference. They had ran out of a Cantena Alta Malbec and offered as a standard Catena Malbec at the same price, despite representations from us that this was clearly wrong. We feel the tours are over priced. The problem is that they have you as a captive audience as there are no alternative options to take up due to the remoteness of the location

A Magical Escape at Copal Tree Lodge

My stay at Copal Tree Lodge was genuinely extraordinary. Upon arriving in Punta Gorda's Toledo District, I was captivated by the area's breathtaking beauty. The journey to the hotel felt like entering a hidden paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant plants. The lodge's outdoor spaces are stunning and awe-inspiring, with verdant gardens and towering trees that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Each area seamlessly blends with the natural environment, enhancing its charm. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. During my visit with friends, we enjoyed delightful Copalli rum and delicious meals celebrating local flavors. Copal Tree Lodge has become my go-to destination for escaping daily life, offering tranquility and a deep connection with nature. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this remarkable retreat!

Our stay began with welcoming staff providing us with thorough information regarding our stay, gifts and a yummy welcome drink. The accommodations were excellent, we especially liked the shower overlooking the jungle. We only stayed 2 nights but did get a chance to do the mixology class and snorkel with the chef. Both were excellent. My favorite was waking up to the noises of the jungle that included howler monkeys and birds. So peaceful and a great adventure.

A beautiful lodge in the jungle. Awesome room and contact with the nature. Lots of monkeys. The only thing that could improve was the restaurant. Some of the waiters were slightly demotivated, it took a very long time for the food to arrive (even if you were the only person in the restaurant!) and the food selection was very little. The rices are matching the high end resorts but the service not yet. For instance a $200 massage on a sheet with blood stain should be a no go. But overall a nice experience.

The property is surrounded by beautiful jungle with great hiking trails that I used pretty much every day! You truly are in the middle of a lush green surrounding, with monkeys in the trees and birds all around you! The kindness, positive attitude and helpfulness of the staff made all the difference! Everyone was extremely helpful, always smiling and paid attention to details! Our cabin (#11) was beautiful and due to it being a little elevated it felt very private! The excursion they had were a little pricey but the massages are reasonable (definitely recommended)! We did a half day fishing with a fantastic guide (Jose) who was so passionate and knowledgeable about fishing, it was a great day and the chef even prepared our fish for us that evening! Food was a bit pricey but delicious, we several times went into town to try local restaurants as well!

This is a perfect jungle paradise. The pools and activities offered are simply superb. The staff was immensely helpful, making all of it feel luxurious and like home at the same time. Definitely for the active to mildly active traveler because if the weather is bad it can get a little boring. But I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fancy cultural immersion.

Beautiful rooms and surrounding property. We kayaked down the Rio Grande river twice, mountain biked the trails and hiked while we were there. We dined in the evenings at Copal Tree and during the day traveled 4 miles to Punta Gorda to check out the local food fare. We also participated in the Mixology Class which was interesting and fun. Kudos to Ducky, Tim and Mark who were our attentive Bartenders and waiter

Everything was amazing and the property was a “once in a lifetime” experience, but on checking out an expensive fishing rod that I had checked in to the front desk had been broken by a staff member I would think inadvertently and the general manager made no attempt to contribute to its replacement, but did make a weak attempt to dismiss his staffs culpability in said matter. For this reason and this reason only we will not be going back ever again.

This place is truly special. There is so much to do on site from the bean to bar class, distillery and farm tours plus hiking and kayaking. In addition there are amazing excursions to choose from. Our room was gorgeous and the extra cost of the canopy suites is well worth it. There was so much attention to detail with the design of the property. Staff were super helpful and the guides were clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what they were sharing. My only warning is to bring your bug spray!

I had a wonderful experience! The staff was AMAZING! The food was fresh and the drinks were good. I love the total experience of the jungle and being in the wild especially the sound of those howler monkeys early in the morning. And the SHOWERRRRR was the selling point of the room.

If you want to stay at a 5 star eco lodge and to really get in touch with nature this is the place. The Resort, food, and customer service is excellent. Make sure to be patient with everything as the workers are on island time. Recommend the Amazon tour and biking into town to explore.

Copal tree resort is amazing. The setting, service, and even the howler monkeys below our lodge. We enjoyed both our dinners and breakfasts there. Detail is what it is all about and from our amazing room 10 with screened porch to the best pillows we have had in Belize. Sitting on our porch in this jungle setting will always be remembered.

Property is absolutely beautiful also P.G. is authentic friendly and pure. Definitely not your typical tourists town. It’s very ‘untouched’. The only con to this property is the food and cost. We enjoyed the breakfast which was slightly over priced but still good. We had dinner once and decided not to eat dinner again. Found much better good for better cost in town

Tropical Paradise!!!

I was reminded this Spring Break that it is necessary to release, relax, reconnect with family and to rejuvenate the mind. Our stay again in Belize allowed us to do just that.

What a tropical paradise. Our family at CopalTreeLodge displayed true Southern hospitality. The food, conversations and the culture will definitely be remembered. Melitta, I can’t wait to try my new recipes!🍴😋

One of a kind experience

The staff was awesome, from Berta checking us it to the manager walking us out everyone was pleasant and attentive. The room was clean and we were impressed by the huge shower that overlooks the jungle. At night we sat in the screened in porch with lights off and just listened to jungle, that was worth the trip right there. The coffee is excellent, beans from Guatemala and roasted on the property. The second day they knew how we liked our coffee! The only negative at the Lodge was the food. Other than an excellent filet mignon the meals were average. We did not go on any excursions connected with the hotel so I can’t comment on that but I am sure they will take good care of you because they are really nice and attentive people.

Mit dem Standseibähnchen zur eigenen Suite

Das beste Hotelzimmer, das ich je hatte. Mit einem eigenen Standseilbähnchen ging es zur Jungle Lodge hoch. Riesen Zimmer, der reinste Tanzsaal. Und 4 Suiten haben sich einen gemeinsamen Pool geteilt. Gegen Abend konnte man die Brüllaffen hören. Raum 15 war wohl der beste, so mit Abendsonne und Blick über den Urwald. Einzig die Kochkünste könnten sie noch verbessern. Aber zum Frühstück konnte man die Kolibris beim Sirup naschen beobachten.
