Dawson Inn was cozy and a really nice place to stay. The manager was very nice and pleasant to talk to. The Breakfast wasn't the usual \"Holiday Inn\" type breakfast but it was all we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the directions given by Google Maps. It took us off on the wrong exit and into the backwoods country on a tiny narrow road and our destination was a wooded lot. I'm glad we weren't traveling at night - we might not have seen some of the hairpin turns. We turned around and when we got back to a small town we called Dawson Inn from a church parking lot. the manager gave us the correct directions and said she has been requesting for Google Maps to change this for a long time without any results! Call ahead and get directions directly from Dawson Inn and you will have a Wonderful Stay!

When I pulled up out front, the woman who runs the hotel happened to be outside. When I told her my last name she knew my first name and where I was traveling from. Check in was seamless and quick. My room was immaculately clean and comfortable. This place was a steal. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.
Justin
It’s a small hotel and the staff live onsite. The hotel was very clean and the room was spotless. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity but a short drive away is a restaurant located in a gas station. It sounds sketchy but the restaurant was clean and the food was very good.
Robert
Very good hotel - friendly staff, clean and quiet. Will stay there again ! We are extensive travelers and would recommend.
Bryan
Friendly, inviting, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately, there were some safety concerns that we hadn't experienced before. Our stay was perfectly fine, but the concerns were prevalent.
Temple
They copy your license upon check in and keep it in a file cabinet for a year with no lock. Anyone can steal ID information. We’ve never had a hotel do that.
Beds were worn and uneven. Only provided one pillow per person on a king size bed. Were frequent hotel guests all over the country and this one was meh for the money but the only thing around.
Breakfast was granola bars and pop tarts. Nothing healthy.

We stayed here several times for just a 1 night stay, on our travels. The owners live on site. This is the 2nd year for the new owners, I think.
It’s clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is a gas station next door that has fabulous fried chicken.

David
There was only one thing I could not take advantage of: Breakfast, only because of my allergies so it wasn't their fault. But everything else was nice and clean.
Vicki
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning unit worked well but was noisy. I did make the staff aware of this and she said they would look into it. There were many options for breakfast like hard boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, fruit, etc. The employees I met were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
Amanda
Very friendly staff at front desk, room very clean, and their pillows were full size and extremely comfortable

place was great!...a bigger tv would be nicer, but for 1 nite, was ok. breakfast as mostly snacks, etc...some eggs, biscuit gravy, etc would the finish of a great stay.
Jerry
From the front door to the final good-bye it was great! Friendly staff, welcoming lobby, sparkling clean rooms and continental breakfast all made for an incredible stay. Highly recommended! We will be back!
Laurie
Lovely, clean room! Super comfy bed. Only request: milk or creamer for coffee rather than powder and more selection of jelly for toast. Only grape was available.
Check in was easy, staff were very friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

The property was very clean. Easy access from interstate. Water tasted good. Bed was pretty comfortable. Quiet. Owner was nice. Breakfast was lacking—no milk or fresh coffee. There was a variety of fresh fruit, but mostly lots of high sugar /carb options. Overall an enjoyable experience, though.
Emily
The owner was very kind and helpful. The room was plenty for the price and the entire hotel was very clean.
Nikita
Great stay
Aaron
Everything was very nice neat clean and well kept. The breakfast was a bit minimalistic, but other than that the place was perfect. For the price, I don’t know that I’ve stayed in a better place and I stay in a hotels just about every week for work.
Drew
The breakfast was full of options and the hospitality was very good!

Quiet clean hotel tucked in the mountains of West Virginia. Small, charming and conveniently located just off Hwy #64. So nice to support a locally owned business.
Best of all NO pets, NO pool so you're not paying for something you don't need. Wonderful staff (owner). Convenient breakfast with nice choices. We've traveled all over the world and this was exactly what we need in a hotel. Will use again. A \"10\".

Dana
One of the nicest small hotels we’ve ever seen.Staff was excellent. Very helpful and accommodating. Give them a try!!
Raymond
We had a great experience with Dawson Inn. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh. The Manager, Lisa, was very friendly. There is a gas station and small store next to the hotel where we purchased made-to-order sandwiches and water on our way to the New River Gorge National Park. The hotel is 15 min away from the Sandstone Falls Visitor's Center. The price is right and a gem for those visiting the area or just passing through.
Cathy
Breakfast was minimal but fresh. Everything clean and beds/pillows were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly😊

Awesome Hotel
Our one night stay turned into three nights. Lisa, and staff, were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again!!
There is no elevator but honestly that was not a problem.

Was more out of the way than we thought! Should have booked in Beckley. It was ok.
Jan
This is a particularly clean hotel. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Unfortunately, the facility fell short of expectations. There was no elevator, and there was no mention of that in the site information. I have a bad knee, and it was difficult to get up and down the stairs during my stay. The breakfast was skimpy at best, and there were no nearby places to eat breakfast out.
Glen
Down home comfort
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and worked hard to make us comfortable.
Olga
Great front desk reception. All staff seem to take pride in the hotel. Older building but very clean well maintained. Would definately return.

A great place on our route back to Florida as snowbirds. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast area had lots of options to eat on site or grab something for the road.

Pleasantly surprised out of the main areas but close to everything!

Easy check-in, very clean, would stay again.
Darren
They waited for us after check-in hours, due to is being stuck in a 2 hour traffic stoppage in Dayton Ohio. Extremely nice and had us ready to go to our room to get some sleep immediately upon arrival. Great little breakfast area for a quick snack to get your day started.

The bed was very comfortable!
My only complaint was there was hair in tub so had to clean it before my shower. Would like to see better or more choices for breakfast, ex. Tea bags that aren’t all fruit flavored (plain black or earl grey tea) since I don’t drink coffee, maybe cereal and milk or a waffle maker.

For a place to sleep it was great. It's quiet. Breakfast is sparse - and they need to replace the Coffeemate with milk.

This property is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful. Staff was very friendly. It has lots of convenience snacks and drinks, and a continental breakfast. It's right beside a gas station in case you need anything else, and also the surrounding views are just beautiful. So serene, and close to lots of natural recreation and parks.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable.
The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room was quiet, making for a great night's sleep. The staff was incredibly friendly and did a great job each day. I also liked having a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room—it made mornings easier.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again. Great value for the quality and service!

Wonderful check in ! The women were friendly and helpful
Ashley
Very clean and quaint. The building was a little older, and other than the gas station next door, there didn’t seem to be much around. However, the lady working the front desk was lovely, and the little breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea was a delightful unexpected touch. I would definitely stay here again.
Connie
Friendly, clean, & quiet. New ownership (2025), so if you plan to check in after 10 PM expect a $20 fee added to your bill.
The owner (or management) live on site.
We have stayed here several years in a row as a 1-night stop on our way to the East Coast. There is a great fried chicken place next door that you need to try. We will likely stop again next year.

Friendly check in, cleanliness in all areas, close but located out from commercialism of Lewisburg.
Wesley
The owner is extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Hotel was very clean
Tabithia
Great little place with a very friendly staff. My son had an early morning soccer game that was about 3 hrs from home so we were looking for lodging for the night close by. Everything seemed to be booked up when i came across this place. I'm so glad i booked it. The rooms were spotless and the natural spring water it ran off of was amazing. It doesn't have a pool but we went in the off season and had no time for a pool anyway. The beds were comfy and it was nice and peaceful. Will definitely stay again when we're in that area.
Vicki
Just a nice comfortable clean place to stay.
Gail
We enjoy the closeness to Route 64, gas station availability, and the reasonable cost. Help is always friendly and room always clean. Thank you for taking care of your property.
ROBERTSEN
Although this location is remote, it is still worth the price. It was very clean and quiet. They offered a basic continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a gas station next door with a hot food counter and a good selection of convenience store snacks and drinks. Overall we were very happy.
Anthony
Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean.
Mary
Nice quiet convenient
Melinda
This was one of the cleanest hotels that I’ve stayed in! The staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Michael
Everything was great except the bed was too soft for us
David
This is an ultra-clean little family-type hotel. Not close enough to go out to eat anywhere. No Internet. You stay here for the proximity to I64 and the New River or Blue River. As nice as hotels costing more. Breakfast theoretically included was not much at all. I would potentially stay there again if visiting those parks.
