We had a wonderful time in St. Louis taking a little weekend trip. Our tv wasn’t connected and our phone wasn’t working, but they got it fixed immediately! No other problems besides that. The restaurant was delicious and we enjoyed the pool, although our time was cut short due to windy/cold weather.

Unfortunately, this property did not live up to expectations. The room was nice but there were too many surfaces that weren’t cleaned prior to check in. The bathroom sink was barely wiped. Desk and nightstands had a dusty film and the carpet was musty. The towels were the hardest I’ve ever experienced at ANY hotel. Hotel restaurant had very few options and the staff seemed to not want to be there. It took over 20 minutes to get coffee. It was self serve, I had to wait to pay. Real unimpressed with this Marriott property, just doesn’t live up to the rep.

It was my first time staying here and is now my favorite hotel in downtown Saint Louis.

Everything was great: location, style, condition, cleanliness, staff, amenities, and the room was phenomenal. Although I didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy it, the rooftop pool and the whole atmosphere was top notch.
Moving forward, I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in Saint Louis.

Stay overall was great! Loved the room and the dinner and drinks and union 30 diner was fabulous. However we did spent over $400 for a room for 3 items in our room to not work. The bidet (fancy toilet) didn’t work, the TV on mirror in bathroom didn’t work and the record player in bedroom didn’t work. We made the most out of it and like I said we have a great stay but when you pay a lot of money you expect things to work. Luckily we’re not super upset because we still had a great time but would have been nice!

We needed a night to get away, relax, and just rest from everyday life. I actually used ChatGPT to plan our trip because—hello, busy working parents—and ew… planning. 😅

I gave it a few requirements, and this hotel absolutely delivered. From the atmosphere (and the incredible smell, seriously top-tier) to the coolest bartender, every detail was perfect.

We enjoyed a couples massage that, no exaggeration, was the best I’ve ever had—topped off with champagne to finish. 🥂 The pool was warm and extremely clean, and our balcony view was such a lovely touch for city watching.

This place felt like home—but make it fancy. ✨ We loved every part of our stay and will 100% be back for many more!

Checkin was easy. Parking was expensive ($50 vallet/day). We booked it for the heated rooftop pool, but the pool was not heated and tiny. And the view from the pool was blighted buildings, broken windows and graffiti.

The food ranged from amazing to mediocre. Breakfast was great (but $40 for one person. Dinner was $200 for 2 and the steaks were overcooked, the potatoes were nothing like the pictures, and dry.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were the only ones there. The lady \"working\" was sitting in a booth watching TV. But when she seated us our seats had food crumbs all over them. Maybe get up and clean something? She made excellent drinks.

Front desk service was incredible both days. When we got to the (corner) room it was incredible. But our experience was taken down a few notches when neither the TV or the record player worked. They came and fixed both but it spoiled \"the mood\" a little.

Also, there's nothing in the minibar. We had to go 12 floors down for waters, soda, etc. Really would have preferred to just have it there and bill it to my room. Overall the place has a beautiful interior with quality materials. Could have lived in the bathroom.

Overall I'm glad we had the experience, but I'd probably bring a cooler and eat elsewhere if we go again.

The roof top pool was extremely small, laughable for the price you pay to stay. The roof top restaurant and bar was not open like it said it would be on the website. The food was ok . Not many choices to pick from on food. Pricing on parking was expensive. Next time ill pay more money to stay at the 4 seasons hotel.

The worst experience ever

Hotel front desk clerk was horrible. He was misogynic, arrogant, and unprofessional. Check in took 3 hours. This man was an outright bully and even argued with his manager. As a Marriot Bonvoy member I have never experience such disrespect or unsatisfactory service. I never received points for my stay either. I will never stay at this hotel again and will be sure to tell others of my horrible experiences.

Times. About 7 years ago was the first time and man it was so nice! Snacks/beverages in the room, robes, beautiful view, bidet. This time around, none. And we booked the same kind of room. Bidet was broken. Food left in fridge from previous guest. Not vacuumed. No snacks or drinks. No robes. Had to request them and it took over an hour to get them. Balcony view was of all the air conditioners and maintenance things. So we never sat out there due to the smell. Beds were so hard. I remembered thinking they were so comfortable but not this time around. Sad because this was our favorite place to stay in st Louis. They were nice and let us check in early and the valet staff were very nice however when we got in our car, the automatic starter part in my car was on the floor. Have no idea how that happened. Husband just put it back in but still weird

LOCK MALFUNCTION 🚨

The hotel itself was very nice however, we faced a very big issue with our room. After leaving, we were unable to get back into the room with our key cards. Upon returning to the front desk and receiving two new key cards, we still could not get into our room. We waited over 3 1/2 hours at the hotel, unable to leave unable to get our things or do absolutely anything before the hotel offered to provide us another room. The hotel did not offer us any discount or any other accommodations and it was only after 3 1/2 hours and it was already 10 PM before they offered to give us a new room. We stood outside of our room as somebody with a crowbar tried to pry open our door unsuccessfully we were told they were going to have to cut the door down to get our things, but we had to continue waiting as they just kept trying to pry it open. Finally, we got moved to a downgraded room and had no other accommodations discounts or reimbursement. This prevented us from doing anything else the second half of the day because you’re unable to get into our room to grab our things.

We were very underwhelmed by this hotel. We had high hopes after reading previous reviews but were sadly disappointed when we arrived in person.
Do not waste your money for a corner room or a ‘view’. Your view will only be vacant, dilapidated buildings covered in graffiti. I tried to request a higher floor via this app but once the staff did reply they said my reservation appeared to be cancelled (I had a previous cancellation for different dates.) I did not get a response via this app when I explained this and when I tried to call to confirm our reservation there was no answer and no return call, although I did leave a message.
The pillows were not great and I spent most of our ‘vacation’ with neck and shoulder pain.
The ice machine on our floor was broken.
The advertised Sky Bar wasn’t even open yet.
There was dirt and personal items from previous guests left under the bed and chairs.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the food could have been much better for the price, and the water pressure in the shower was less than stellar. I have loved Hotel Saint Louis since it's opening. I have noticed that now that it's been open for a while it's lost some of those touches that make that hotel feel like a unique experience. They no longer have reusable water bottles and don't offer any form of a mini bar. The market that they have is overpriced and very limited especially considering there is a grocery store two blocks away. I had to remake my bed on arrival because it was messily put together. I still have a special place in my heart for this hotel but it is disheartening to see such a decline in their attention to detail.

The stay was very pleasant, room was top notch. Only problem we had which was a huge problem is when I checked my account I had $546 of extra charges on my debit card. My room was booked on my credit card but used debit card to hold for damages and looked on the night before we left and had 4 charges on my debit card. They are fixing this they have said but it put me in a bind because it takes up to 5 days to get refunded. Definitely becareful about what cards they use because some of us have limited funds on certain cards. I feel they could have done better besides apologies and refund in 5 days. Took you 1 day to withdraw from my account and I have to wait 5 for my funds back? Not happy and can’t leave a good review. Definitely won’t book here again.

We did not receive any service for our room during our stay. I even asked a cleaning lady in the hall outside of our room and she was uncertain about who was responsible for servicing our room. So we just had all the towels in a pile on the floor, and we never got new linens. Also, the valet was hit and miss. Sometimes they were available immediately for dropping off/picking up our car. Other times we had 10, 15, 20 minute waits. The wait was extremely annoying after getting in late at 10pm after a long day in the city. We stood there 20 minutes waiting for a valet. The man working in the lobby finally walked up and asked twice if we were checking in to which I replied twice, “no, we are already checked in, we’re trying to drop off our car to valet.” He apologized and took our keys. I’ve never dealt with inconsistent valet service anywhere else. Other than the spotty valet service and our room not being serviced at all, everything else was fine with our stay. If those two things could be corrected, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

I was impressed with this hotel. It felt luxurious and the staff was mostly very friendly. The one bedroom suite was spacious and clean, comfy sofa, bed and pillows were wonderful, bathroom mirror had a tv inside it which was fun. Location wise it was a 3-5 minute walk to the convention center, arch, and stadium. Would definitely stay here again.

This is typically my favorite hotel in St. Louis. Our check-in was fast, but not as friendly as we are used to at this hotel. We were given an accessible room (not what we requested) and missed out on the tub/shower that I enjoy so much at this hotel. The make-up mirror and bidet remote did not have batteries so we were unable to use them. The friendliest face we saw was on our way out and the gentleman helping travelers get into their cars made our day! Not the top-notch experience that I am used to at this hotel.

The hotel has an adjoining spa that was closed on Saturday and Sunday due to a lack of workers. But I was informed the matter was being addressed.

Such potential..beautiful property, just a few “misses”..Room wasn’t ready even though we arrived just after 4 pm (check in time)..ok, we’ll grab a drink in the lobby bar..food was excellent but bartender couldn’t keep up with what was likely about 14 customers.

Checked in! Beautiful room..went to event and made it back for a nightcap at rooftop bar. Very fun!

Poolside this AM..no towels and just generally in need of being tidied up. Time to check out..valet was a MESS!

The staff that greets you were wonderful. The place is very interesting. Lots of cool stuff going on at this place. However, that couldn’t overcome the experience. It was difficult to get drinks. The outside view is atrocious. The billing department is worse. The room was paid for already but they still charged us $100 up front (ok, we’ll get that back ) When we received our invoice, we were charged $50.40 for valet that we DIDN’T use. We were then charged another $100 on checkout and another $100 a couple hours later. We still have $200 on hold and the third $100 over drafted our credit card! Ridiculous. We could never stay there again.

Well, first I had ordered a balcony suite and I got up to my room and there was no balcony. Then I went to make coffee. I open the Keurig. There was a used K cup in it. The only coffee that was in the room was decaffeinated and nowhere to park but a $50 valet, don’t forget to Tip The pool had an amazing view of graffiti broken windows and abandoned buildings

Not impressed. Thought this would be our \"splurge\" nice hotel to round out our trip to the Bahamas. We had decided to spend the night in STL prior to driving home so were tired from traveling and just wanted some place relaxing and nice. This place was very nice (at one time) but does not appear well maintained as everything has faded with it. The building around this hotel are also not well maintained with lots of graffiti and crumbling bricks. I had reserved a suite with a balcony but were not given a balcony as none were available. It is valet parking only though there is a garage across from the hotel that was okay. We wanted to walk to dinner but the area did not feel very safe with lots of panhandlers. The staff were very polite but obviously overworked or did not care. When I had questions, the phones kept ringing and they kept stopping our conversation to answer and then dismissing me. All of the phones apparently malfunctioned or something and there was an alarm at 6am that woke the entire hotel up. There was an overhead announcement stating that it was a mistake. Never received an apology for that and it made for a tired morning. There were no extra blankets or towels. Looked at the pool but no hot tub. Honestly, I have had much better experiences at less fancy and cheaper hotels. Not worth the money. Do not recommend.
