Parking was excellent especially for our transit van. The hotel reception lists were professional, helpful, generous and friendly.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the river.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

AC Palacio de Santa Ana in Valladolid

We stopped at the Hotel Palacio in Valladolid heading to Santander to catch the ferry. The hotel and room were very nice and the breakfast and evening meal were excellent. The only issue we had (minor) was a Pizza we ordered last minute on our arrival which was very poor. The staff immediately reacted to our disappointment and rectified the problem.

Only if you can not find anywhere else to stay

One night stay on our way from France to Portugal. The hotel was clean and nice. Not 5 star standard though. Service at the restaurant was below any standard. Drinks were spilt by staff and they did not lift finger to clean it. We had to wait 20 minutes to get the menus while staff was still setting tables. We will not stay there again.

The past meets the present

It was a wonderful stay. The building is a renovated convent. Many of the original features have been kept. Simple and elegant decor. The backyard is beautiful and tranquil. Very nice for weddings. We enjoyed the yard very much. The service is great. Kind and generous staff. Great breakfast.

Recommended for relaxing after a hard days' work!

Great Hotel all round!. A converted convent beautifully converted with many original features. I particularly liked the full size opening windows with original wooden shutters, opening on to a view of the lake and gardens. Very quiet and relaxing with lap pool and gym. Like all hotels in Spain, no English language channels on TV. Would have liked a room safe, but just a minor point. Local area is all housing with no restaurants or bars, but the hotel bar and restaurant are very good. If it's sunny you can sit in the gardens sipping a cocktail with a lovely view of the lake.

Good location for travel inn the Valladolid area and surrounding cities. The room was very nice - great bedding, ideal water pressure, free use of mini-bar (water, beer, soda all free), very good wifi and lots of storage. The breakfast was also wonderful with a buffet AND a menu to order omelets and more (I would recommend getting breakfast when booking). Plenty of free parking at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful.

What a beautiful, historic property while modernized for great comfort. Be sure to explore the beautiful garden in the back that leads down to the river. Dinner and breakfast the next morning were both.very good. Lots of parking in front of the hotel though a little tricky to find the entrance. We had to circle the block

Nice hotel. But far away from the city.

The AC Santa Ana is very nice and decently priced. The rooms are nice and comfortable it has great staff and service at the restaurant and hotel is good. But the location is a problem though. Far away from downtown Valladolid and with no public transportation cab fares end up being an extra cost.

Great place, but not in the historic toen center

The hotel itself is great. Seems to be brand new with everything you can expect from a Marriott hotel. It is, however somewhat difficult to find, despite the fact that there are signs, we missed Th parking lot twice, because the actual hotel sign was after we passed the parking lot. The food in the restaurant is great and fairly inexpensive. If you are looking for a location close to the historic center of Valladolid, you should consider another hotel, but if you need a place to stay as a stop for the night, this is a great place.

Great 5 stars hotel outside Valladolid

The hotel is extremely beautiful. The people at the front desk were very gentle and kind, always trying to help us and guide us in anything. We received special treat from Santiago who really put a lot of attention at our requests and always had the ability to gave us all the information we needed.
There is a thing that it is important to comment of this precious hotel. It is that the hotel it is not downtown, so everyday we had to take a taxi to get into the city and to come from it and every taxi costs up to 5 euros per trip! So that is something to considerate.
There are lots of hotels downtown Valladolid, but this one is the only one 5 stars.

This is a nice hotel in a good location, only about 20 min walk from major sight seeing area, although our view was a wall I can forgive as this is in a nice residential community, however they hold private functions in the only Wi-Fi zone in the hotel, if they are going to do that they should provide free WiFi in the rooms.theyalso closed the bar and food service down during these events.i say what about the hotel guests?

I wouldn't use the hotel again. Very far outside city of Valladolid. The hotel while clean and functional it is large and characterless! Beds and pillows were strangely uncomfortable. Food in main restaurent had to be sent back twice and at 9.30 on a Wednesday evening we were the only people sitting in the restaurent. Staff were 'ok' but hardly friendly. With the number of hotels in the area and closer to town, I would not return. To me this was a 3-4 star hotel and certainly not a 5 star which is its classification.

A Million Miles from Valladolid

This hotel boasts a terrific restaurant, with excellent staff. If you stay here, you won't regret eating here. All the same, it is way outside Valladolid, one of Spain's larger cities (so far outside that it doesn't even feature on the locally available road-map). I can't fault the staff: reception, room and especially restaurant staff are outstanding.

The hotel can't help where it is (in the middle of nowhere), but there are flaws. I think there were about thirteen lights in my room, but there was too little light by which to read a book. I am not joking: the wardrobe was better lit than the room was.

The room was at ground-level, which meant that people passing the windows could see straight in (and did). The windows had no curtains, but only metal shutters. They were either open, or, since it was a ground-floor room, completely shut, rendering the room stifling.

Everything human about this hotel is excellent. Where it is and how it was built are the problem.

I did use room service once; that was very prompt and efficient. I don't fault that in any respect.

Comfortable, smart hotel which we stayed in when driving from Santander to The Algarve. Car park in front of hotel secure enough to leave our heavily laden car parked overnight. Wonderful breakfast.

Best outside hub for valladolid visit & local wine

Excellent location outside of Valladolid center, so you can do your neccesary winery visits( Penafiel approx. 1hr., 20 min. Mauro winery) and at the same time your required Corte Ingles shopping and required Valladolid historical tourism.

The hotel was spotless, the rooms extremely comfortable. The grounds were simply amazing. The only thing that was lacking was customer sercice. The restaurant we had to find ourselves and once in the courtyard sat for approx 1/2 hr waiting for staff to appear at the bar. The bar didnt open so we were forced to seek out staff. Staff were busy eating in the kitchen and we felt like we were intruding but they guided us to the restaurant. We found the restaurant received the menu and decided to order the set menu, which was not cheap. Considering this is supposedly a four star hotel we expected so much more from the restaurant than tinned asparagus, pre-packed salad and supermarket frozen fries. The service was poor and that could have been due to the fact that they had an inspection but that should not have affected paying guests. One of the staff even answered their mobile phone in the restaurant as we were eating. We were never approached during our meal to check everything was satisfactory and had to pour our own wine, and that included tasting it. Thoroughly dissapointed in what I planned to be a special evening with my wife.

Extremely romantic hotel!!!

The hotel is great. It used to be an old monastery, fully remodelled and with all amenities you would expect. The only thing is that it is a little hard to get there, since there aren't many signs and it is located in the outskirts of Valladolid. Lovely!!

Excellent Hotel, easy to find and very helpful staff. That said, the air conditioning in the room did not work so the Hotel manager moved us to an upgraded room. The hotel has been converted from a historic building but has been done beautifully. The restuarant was excellent and the service was efficient and friendly. The only negative was the the surrounding area which was drab; being located in a residential district. Though overall I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Unfortunately we were given two rooms adjacent to the staff entrance. Staff were arriving from 5am and continuously pressing the electronic buzzer which was way too loud and could be heard from our rooms. To make matters worse some of the staff would hold loud conversations impeding a good nights sleep. The staff attitude when we complained was one of indifference and they also confirmed that other guests had complained in the past. Knowing there is a problem and not doing anything about it demonstrates a lack of professionalism.
On another note, we ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was terrible and small portions. To be honest I found that the quality of the food was well below standards and overpriced.
Rooms were looking a bit dated and dusty, but comfortable.
The hotel itself is quite beautiful and striking as this used to be a monastery of sorts…
Personally I wouldn’t stay here again because of our experience.

El hotel parece más bien de cuatro estrellas que de cinco, está correcto pero con poco detalle.
Tuvimos un trato bastante incómodo por parte de un señor del hotel porque no nos dejaba entrar a cenar al restaurante, me sentía fatal primero nos dijo que el restaurante estaba cerrado al público por un evento, luego me preguntó que si tenía reserva y le dije que no, me dijo imposible estamos completos pero con muy malos modales al final les dije que al llegar había preguntado en recepción y entonces me dijo ahh pero están Uds alojados? Y le dije claro entonces me dijo que podíamos pasar, creo que era lo primero que nos tenia que haber preguntado, pero lo peor fueron los malos modos de ese señor. Puede ser porque estuviera el equipo de fútbol del Sevilla, no se…El demás personal muy amable.
Esta alejado del centro hay que coger el coche.
Las camas muy cómodas, y el desayuno correcto, no con mucha variedad pero lo que había estaba rico.

Estancia muy agradable. Destacaría lo acogedor y amplio de las habitaciones junto con el hecho de disponer de parking cubierto incluido en el precio.
El punto negativo para nosotros fue el colchón, no nos resultó nada cómodo, entiendo que es algo personal pero en nuestro caso no nos ayudó en el descanso.
Pese a este detalle lo recomendaría.

Snyggt hotell. Reception som det ska vara. Rummet väldigt bra. Service till middag sådär, flera personal som mest stod och snackade. Maten var god men pass upp - köttet kommer ensamt. Potatis, grönsaker etc måste beställas extra och kostar 5€ per extra.
Stor gratis parkering framför ingång och garage i källaren mot betalning.

Perfect location and good hotel.

Hotel was perfect. Disappointing was we could not have dinner as we planned for and was the whole reason for staying the hotel. Really disappointing. Room perfect, staff friendly, location perfect. But I clearly indentified at the booking I wanted a dinner in the restaurant. I am sure the wedding was planned much earlier than our booking. Not nice and would have expected some kind of compensation.

Het hotel is geen 5 sterren waardig. Mooie historische site maar dan stopt het. Bar is niet commercieel uitgebaat, ze hebben zelf geen kaart met drankjes. De ober moet je bellen met een bel die op de tafel staat. Het restaurant serveerde het slechtste eten wat we ooit voorgeschoteld kregen. Wat was dat. Hier komen we nooit meer terug. Het personeel spreekt weinig of geen andere taal buiten Portugees.

Mooi hotel, maar op een waardeloze locatie. In de omschrijving staat letterlijk 'in het historisch centrum'. Dat is dus niet waar. Het hotel ligt 5 kilometer hier vandaan. Het hotel ligt midden in een woonwijk, maar dat zie je niet op de foto's. Er is een prachtige tuin, het ontbijt wordt echter geserveerd op de overdekte binnenplaats. Het zwembad (binnen) is zeer ongezellig; alleen geschikt om baantjes te trekken.
