Had a great stay at St. Francis Resort. Beautiful location, staff was wonderful, food at The Snappy Turtle was very good. Room was not fancy, but clean. Peaceful and relaxing. Shout out to Mary, Kwami, Delly, Nelly, and Chaco....thanks for being so accommodating!

Amazing quiet resort tucked in a beautiful cove

Our stay was AMAZING! Stayed at one of the ocean view cottages and the room was perfect. Huge bathroom and amazing balcony with lounge style chairs to sit back and enjoy the night, stars and sounds of the ocean! The restaurant was AMAZING. The food was really good and fresh made to order. I recommend the peas and rice with lobster and shrimp dish they have!

Mostly like to say it was not a place for kids, so no kids. I love kids, but it was nice to have only adults around. We have no complaints whatsoever about our stay. Staff was courteous, friendly and out of their way helpful. Ask for Mary!!!!!!

The Saint Francis resort was a perfect choice for our recent family trip. We had our 3 kids along being ages 16, 14 and 11. I had warned them it wasn’t a lavish resort and it was going to be a nice relaxing vacation. Relaxing is exactly what it was!

From what we saw, the oceanside at any given time had a maximum of 10 people in view. And at most times it was just us on the beach.

The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Shout out to Shantel, Desmond, Torez, Kara, Delly, Mary, Stafford and Chacho! You all made it a great memorable family vacation and I thank you for that.

The food was great! Our 11 year old really enjoyed eating like a king!

If you want a private beach and relaxing resort that delivers great hospitality, this one is for you!

First time here and fell in love with it. The staff is the best, the private beach all to yourself is the best. Be aware, you are on a private island, which is limited to options for dining, but absolutely the best experience and stay we’ve had here. Definitely doing it again!

This place is an absolute hidden gem, truly one-of-a-kind and far beyond what we expected. I'm genuinely surprised it doesn’t have more reviews, because it deserves to be recognized for how exceptional it is. From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the scenery—it’s like stepping into a postcard or a beautifully filmed nature documentary. The location is simply breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters that are hands down the most beautiful we’ve ever seen.

We traveled with two toddlers, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating, which made our stay all the more enjoyable and relaxing. The warmth and hospitality we experienced here were second to none.

Words truly fall short in capturing the peace and beauty of this place. It’s the kind of destination you want to keep to yourself, yet feel compelled to share because it’s just that special. We feel so fortunate to have discovered it. This is without a doubt one of the best-kept secrets we’ve ever come across.

The most place with the most beautiful people. Everyone became like family. The food was amazing. Arrangements for us to go on boat tour was made so easy. The room was beautiful with beautiful views. If you’re daydreaming about ditching crowds for empty beaches and that crazy blue water you see in postcards, Stocking Island in the Exumas is your spot. And trust me, you’ve gotta check out Saint Francis Resort.
Picture this: You walk into your room, fling open the balcony doors, and BAM—the ocean slaps you in the face (in the best way). Miles of perfect sand, zero people. They’ll even boat you to secret mini-islands where it’s just you, some coconuts, and maybe a curious seagull.
Swim with pigs? Check. Glide with stingrays? Yep. Watch your kids lose their minds over starfish and sand dollars? Absolutely. It’s like someone dumped a NatGeo documentary into your vacation. Pro tip: Bring waterproof phone cases. Your Instagram will thank you.
Leslie picks me up from the airport. Then Chacho zooms me across water so clear you’ll question reality. Desmond hands me a rum punch before you even say \"hello.\"
Chef PG is a wizard. His mahi-mahi?Tastes like he caught it that morning (he probably did). Lobster so juicy you’ll lick the plate. And that conch salad? You’ll try to recreate it at home and fail miserably. Eat it every day—it’s the law.

the staff is super friendly and they do a lot for helping guests but the hotel itself needs renovation, water pressure in the shower is poor, a lot of mosquitoes the entire day, some insecticides needs to be sprayed to eliminate mosquitoes. the beaches are beautiful and only that deserve our stays, overall we had a pleasant stayed

I like this place for what it is: a comfortable place with a beautiful view of the beach, the bay, the harbor. It is NOT a luxury resort. The staff, especially Desmond and Chacho, are responsive and professional. The bungalows are clean and comfortable. Our king bed was pleasant. From our porch we could see the waves crashing and view the harbor and little bay. The food at breakfast was fresh and tasty and well-prepared, if limited. We enjoyed kayaking to the famous Chat and Chill nearby. I am not giving top marks all around simply because some of furnishings are threadbare and need to be replaced (seat cushions and curtains) and there is no pool. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and I am happy to stay there again. It's a chill beach vacation.

The property is in a Beautiful location. Snorkeling around the property is very nice. The staff at the restaurant were great but seating is limited. The offer was open for transport to the big island often throughout the day. The view from the sea view rooms is outstanding. Room Air was perfect, dining depended on time of day and population. The biggest issue was lack of water pressure that got extreme at times. We would do it all over again and probably will.

This property is exceptional value for what’s on offer. The food is really good with great sized portions. Staff - Desmond, Shay, Jada, the water taxi guy whose name I could never get right - all genuine, warm, people, smiling and helpful, easy to talk to. My room was huge with uninterrupted views of the ocean. Opening the curtains every morning took my breath away. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location! We loved the people and the staff was super nice! Breakfast was great and the hot breakfast option was a plus!! The food was amazing (lunch and dinner). I think they were understaffed as the service was very slow after our first day, specially for drink orders. Being so hot outside, we would appreciate if drinks were brought sooner. Our only other complaint was the mosquitos!! It was quite insane! Better spraying of the property would make for a better dining experience. Bring bug spray! Haha. With that said, we LOVED stocking Island and every single staff..Marvin, Shay, Desmond and the others I can remember by name-- you made us feel at home and you are genuinely incredible humans! We loved the snorkling masks Marvin lended to us! It was incredible exploring the Island and being able to see underwater. The Blue Hole, Starfish beach, and Chat n Chill are a must! Property offers Kayaks (first come first serve, but there is enough). George Town is has great souvenirs and for getting snacks and drinks to bring back to the resort. Everywhere you go is either by water taxi provided at no cost by the property - (tip Chancho well, he is awesome), or by Kayak. We kayaked to both Chat n chill and the Blue Hole. It was lovely and we hope to come back someday!! THANK YOU everyone!!! We loved the Bahamas!

This property is in paradise, but you can only get there by water taxi. There are no roads on this island at all so anywhere you wanna go it needs to be water taxi but they do have one there at the property that goes back-and-forth to great Exuma …the property is in disrepair but room Was clean and food is expensive but very, very good .we loved they supply kayaks and you can paddle to the chat and chill for drinks and food. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed on one of their houseboats and, though small, it was charming. It was very basic but had everything you would need except storage but that wasn't a problem. Not that a short person might have trouble with the lights because the switches are on the ceiling. I'm 5'6\" and could just reach. The staff was FANTASTIC. They anticipated every need from having dinner waiting for us when we arrived 2 hours later than planned to organizing the arrival and departure so they were hassle free. I would highly recommend this resort but also note that it helps if you rent a boat while there - the kayaks are a great way to get around nearby but for a greater distance, a motor is essential.

St Francis is uniquely situated on Stocking Island off Great Exuma. It has Atlantic Ocean beaches and the Elizabeth Harbor with its own Marina. It’s a stunning locale with superbly friendly and professional staff. The food and drinks are the BEST! Enjoy a horror view meal! Book a beachfront room and let your cares fall away. Shout out to Shay, Anise, Sterling, Donnamae, Bree!! The best!!

We absolutely loved this property. It is not for everyone I would say, but it was perfect for us. Nothing fancy or fussy here, just clean, well appointed simple rooms but with the most wonderful service and staff, perfect remote beach, daily housekeeping and fresh water and coffee each day in room and the location can't be beat. What it may lack in amenities and flair, it was made up by cleanliness, charm, soft sandy remote practically private beaches, location, service and comfort. I would go back in a heartbeat. It looks like they are in the process of revamping the property and I imagine it will be even better when we go back! Can't wait!

Simply put, an amazing staff. They all were friendly, courteous, and above all, accommodating. The views from all sides of the resort are spectacular and cannot be topped. The views from our room overlooked the bay side and the colors of the water were unreal. A few steps (literally) to the other side of the resort and there was the most spectacular beach and ocean views. The majority of the people using this beach were hotel guests so it was basically a private beach. Cannot speak highly enough of this place, the staff and my time there.

St Francis felt to my family as a unique resort perhaps because it a smaller resort. We felt special and pampered by the attentive staff who answered all questions and made everything pleasant and easy. We were impressed with the boat captain who was super responsive about ferrying us where we wanted to go and helpful in other ways too. The room was lovely and clean and the view of the ocean and the waves soothing and breathtaking. We ended up eating most meals at the restaurant on site and the food was delicious and prepared with care.
