The kitchette comprised of only a microwave and kettle and 2 cups and saucers - no plates,cutlery, stove, teatowel etc

The location was out of town and nothing around it to do

Charms and disappoints.

This hotel is average at best. In our room, the air conditioning was not working properly, failing to provide any cooling whatsoever. Whilst the food was good, we were initially accused of not paying for the buffet, until I offered to display my ohone with evidence of the transaction made. The WiFi was excellent - hands down, the best anywhere in New Caledonia - but the bed was grossly uncomfortable.

the price versus benefit of that hotel is really ok! there was a little dust and spiderwebs… well but ok.
the location is ok only with a car! across the road of the little silent airport where one can rent the flights to the heart of newcaledonia. else the area is boring.
even as a hub to go north an east it‘s not so great as distances are too large to travel.
but so far so good: an easy place to be

Opposite kone airoort. Coonvenient for flights to heart of Voh. Along Highway. Dark rooms, being repainted in lighter colour. Bad reading lights . Good tapas meal.

Clean, modern and Huts facing the water.

The hotel is amazing. It's a little ways from town but you're right next to the ocean and some amazing rock formations.

The nuts were real clean, modern and all face toward the water. This is definitely a place for a solo, couple or family traveling in Hienghene.

Nice Place to Stay

Nice bar, foods good, rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and patient with non French speaking guests.

You don't need to know French to order dinner or breakfast as it is a buffet and its quiet good.

Stayed here at Koniambo Hotel for 12 days. Excellent stay, good food, only negative was the noise when they had a party night. However, we stayed in the building at the back and were not distrubed by the noise at all.

Northern New Caledonia

To come this far up North Caledonia you must have a reason. Mostly it is mining engineers and foreign specialists engaged at the large nickel mine close by. There is nothing hereabouts for tourists and good safe beaches to visit or dive from are difficult to find. The Koniambo is a civilised and pretty well run hotel, and really about the only comfortable option for the weary traveller. As with the whole of the region, prices are artificially set at a high rate, do not expect bargain drinks/food packages or great service ethic. Do however expect flies will always have reached the buffet selection before you. Long stretches of open road through the hills has a certain appeal if you like driving, but beware nightfall and finding you are lost somewhere beyond civilization...

Used this Resort as base to travel around Northern New Caledonia. Convenient for this purpose. Resort rooms require upgrade/maintenance. Bath room grubby. Excellent Buffet Dinner.
Would only recommend for over night stay.

Good northern location

The rooms were huge and there was a balcony also. It was more expensive than Noumea and if you had to eat at the hotel, it would have been very expensive. Great location for exploring the north. For some reason they did not seem to have a copy of our booking but they quickly found us a room when we showed them that we had booked and paid.

Equipe sympathique mais un peu dépassée lors du service. Ce dernier a été catastrophique tout le long. Néanmoins, après discussion, ils ont rattrapé les bêtises et ont réussi à nous redonner le sourire. Quant à l'hôtel, il est vieillot. Des rénovations ont été faites mais poser du neuf sur de l'ancien, fait toujours de l'ancien. Nous souhaitons plein de courage à l'équipe.

Cet hôtel n’est pas très récent mais est correctement entretenu. Le personnel est accueillant, avec une mention spéciale pour celui du restaurant.
Le restaurant propose une carte variée et un brunch le dimanche.
L’emplacement des prises électriques dans les chambres n’est pas pratique et gagnerait à être revu.
Au final, un bon hôtel pour un séjour d’une ou deux nuits.

Service, accueil, personnel au top. En revanche l'état des chambres, de l'équipement (TV, frigo, literie+lit, mobilier int.+ext., climatisation...) est à changer complètement. Le rideau de douche était dégueulasse, les lampes sont à changer. La douche et le lavabo n'étaient pas propre. Il y avait des traces d'humidité. Les rideaux de la baie vitrée et de la fenêtre étaient très sales. Je pense qu'il est grand temps d'envisager sérieusement la rénovation en totalité. Car même la piscine laisse à désirer. Ce qui est très dommage car le cadre reste très sympathique. La nuit au-delà de 10 000frs est trop excessive par rapport à l'état des chambres.

Les chambres sont vieillottes, elles auraient besoin d'une rénovation. J'avais demandé une chambre avec un grand lit et 2 petits lits, à la place j'ai eut un grand lit et un canapé …vraiment très inconfortable. Les prises sont inaccessibles derrière la télé. La porte claque à chaque coup de vent… pleins de détails à revoir. Sans compter la piscine pas très propre et le wifi qui marche très mal. Je n'y retournerais pas.

déçu par les prestations hôtelière.

Les chambres ne correspondaient pas à la réservation., toutefois un arrangement a été fait. Hôtel peux entretenu, climatisation vétuste. De plus, un prélèvement des chambres a été réalisé à notre départ, alors que les chambres avaient été payées à la réservation.
