Yes, Internet was ok. Staff was helpful and friendly. This hotel was in a very old and nice looking building, but there was no lift, With luggages can be a challenge, but staff can help and also you can expect building of this age to have lifts.

Breakfast was good, a combination of continental breakfast and traditional cuisine.

A great location in the old town Berat, with a nice outside patio looking out over the old town which was a great sun spot for coffee in the morning.
Rooms are comfortable, not luxurious. If you want to stay in a traditional ottoman style building this is a great choice.
There are a choice of bars and restaurants within few minutes walk. The hotel offered a traditional menu.

The location of the hotel is perfect and close to Berat castle. The hotel is beautiful with authentic Albanian architectural style preserved in the smallest details. The staff is very polite, friendly and professional. The breakfast was great and there are multiple restaurants and dining options nearby the hotel. Excellent service and staff and amazing traditional property. We highly recommend this hotel.

We had a one night stay at Hotel Onufri, location was excellent, close to everything, beautiful views from the Terrace. Private parking was invaluable as the Hotel is very near to the Castle which gets very busy. Staff very helpful and Hotel very clean, would definitely recommend.

Don’t hesitate, stay here!

Fantastic hotel with the kindest staff. The location was perfect. The room is clean and the windows were huge!

We were awoken to birds chirping in the morning and were surprised to learn they were pet birds kept in cages below our window.

Great hotel with easy parking, easy walking distance to the castle.

Breakfast is great too.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very clean. The restaurant downstairs had delicious food. We loved that we could walk to restaurants and shops. There were a lot of dogs barking outside of the hotel in the middle of the night but that’s out of the hotel’s control. Parking was a little bit hard but the staff was helpful in assisting us.

The hotel has a great location, near the bottom of the hill leading up to the castle but out of the busyness of the streets at the river level. The rooms are spacious and nicely styled and the breakfast was ample and varied.

Really beautiful hotel, in one of the historic buildings of old Berat. Easy parking with the car. Beautiful rooms, recently renovated following the traditional Berat style. Maybe the only small issue was the bad smell coming from the bathroom at different times

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at On Fri Hotel. The room was very nice, with a wall of windows looking out on the town and a decorative wood ceiling. The hotel was very conveniently located for walking to the touristic sites in Berat and the free parking worked well. The staff was very attentive and helpful and the breakfast was good. The hotel was a highlight of our 4 week tour of Albania and North Macedonia.

Perfect location to discover the beauties of Berat.
The hotel id close to both the museum and the castle.

Best hotel experience and value in Albania.

I can't recommend thise hotel enough, lovely venue, comfortable, great view and above all the service and hospitality, Denisa the owner and Antonio the breakfast waiter were always ready to help and make our stay pleasurable. Breakfast was amazing with many choices, table service, something you get only in Top world hotels. They even gave us a jar of honey when we asked about the amazing wilde honey they served us. We can't wait to go back again.

Wish we could have stayed longer

This place is Lovely!
From check in to check out they took such good care of us. EC was the staff member that made it wonderful. He served us our lunch and breakfast (both wonderful) and gave us info on what to see and and how best to proceed.
The building is old but was totally rebuilt 4 years ago. They did an amazing job of keeping the traditional old character yet updating the windows, bathrooms and electronics to modern comfort standards. The AC is great and the wifi fast and glitch-les. Look at my picture of the ceiling woodwork.
The location is perfect for a walk down the walking street, across the river on the pedestrian bridges to see the old city, and a strenuous walk through the old city.
The hotel does NOT use floral scented cleaning supplies so it was easy to breath.
The bed was so comfortable and the soundproofing effective so we had such a good night's sleep.

The staff were beautiful people and made me feel at home for my stay in Berat, The room had everything I could desire from a hotel room at a great price for 3 nights. The breakfast had a super choice, was a great start to the day. The restaurant was open till late, I highly recommend their pasta and Greek salad after a day's exploring the wonderful surroundings. Set a small ways up on the road to the castle, you are in the heart of Berat.

Traditionele look aan het hotel. We hebben tijdens ons verblijf niemand aan de receptie gezien. We werden bij incheck geholpen door iemand die beneden stond.
Locatie van het hotel is fijn en we konden parkeren voor de deur.

Great hotel on paper….

So let’s start with the good stuff. The hotel certainly looks great and the location is perfect for exploring the historic parts of Berat. The rooms were quaint and the breakfast decent. But the positive review unfortunately stops here…. The staff was, well uninspired must be the word, and we felt like we were “in their way” most of the time. Examples: We had coffee and water on the terrace (which is great) but could not pay by credit card as the amount was “to small”, any souvenirs shop would gladly accept card payment for smaller amounts. We lacked toilet paper which required multiple requests and more than an hour before we could finally pick it up ourself from the reception. There must have been a paper shortage as the toilets at the restaurant was also out! And a mess.
Staff was taking up tables in the shade on the terrace, on staircases etc for smoking, sitting in the waiting area of the reception chatting and ogling us when we went by etc. Our rooms were not turned down either.
A great hotel on paper, but found lacking unfortunately….
