Expedia and star convention do not advertise that the whole site is non smoking ,including the outdoor POOL.Therefore we couldn't stay and lost our two nights booking money, also the

Always stay here when in Rayong. A bit dated but truly a classic example of beautiful older style decor and woodwork. Very accommodating and courteous staff. The breakfast is the best I have experienced in my 50 years of travelling!

The room is okay, the worst thing there aren’t any hot water for the shower, we asked the maid she said, there are , but there were not for both room that we stayed in.

Great hotel at an affordable price
I sent my wife and child here for a night and she absolutely loved this hotel. Also bought a room for her sister and her husband, they too thought this was a nice hotel. There's a night market on street level and a great gym in the hotel.

A last minute booking and a completely pleasant surprise. Located in the center of the shopping district, walking distance from 2 malls, one connected to the Hotel, and the night market. Rooms were older, but well kept and large, beds were comfortable and the A/C was strong. Breakfast was a huge buffet with Western and Thai. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will again in the future.

So much to like about this hotel
The staff at the Star were very kind and made great efforts to help us with our request to attend a fruit festival at one of the local farms. The room we had was very spacious and it even included a microwave and dishes should you wish to pick up food from one of the many stalls at the market just outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices from Western to Thai and other Asian foods. The fitness facility was one of the best I've ever seen at any hotel.

The Star hotel is in the middle of Rayong and with in walking of most shops the night market is 50meters and all shop are 5 Minuites the beach is 15 Minuites The breakfast is first class and you are well looked after by all staff

Taxi took me to the main entrance of Star Hotel where I was told by the check-in staff that I was at the wrong Star Hotel and I should go to Star Hotel No. 2 - which I did via golf buggy. After a long journey I did not want all this messing about and there was nothing on the website to state there was more than one hotel.
The steak dinner the firs night was inedible. I have never seen a white tenderloin before (it looked more like pork) but it was the steak promotion so definitely meant to be beef. My jaw got a good exercise trying to masticate the beast !
On trying to get a taxi to another part of Rayong it took 30 minutes for a taxi to come and then I found the hotel had charged me 50% more than the going rate for the journey. Overall I am not impressed and will not be going back. The hotel is clearly old and in need of modernisation.

Cinquième fois que nous allons dans cet hôtel. Très bon petit déjeuner, grandes chambres dont certaines salles de bain seraient urgemment à refaire y compris pour la qualité de l'eau aux robinets, et c'est vraiment dommage car c'est un très bon hôtel situé au pied du marché de nuit.

Det var bra, men där man skulle förvänta sig få ex specialrätter så fanns inte någon personal som skulle servera. Men väldigt bra service och bra gym i anslutning till hotellet. Tyvärr var det lite falskt marknadsföring på hotellet med shuttle buss som skulle ta oss till shopping mall. De käöde ner oss till bussterminal med songtaews som inte ens hade någon som kunde ta oss dit. Vi fick chartra en egen songtaew för att komma dit. Så det drar ner helheten rejält.
