Beautiful boutique hotel with spacious rooms and an interesting industrial-rustic design — depending on your taste, you'll either love it or find it a bit quirky. Be warned: the rooftop bar on the top floor plays loud music on weekends until 2 AM, and you can definitely hear it inside the rooms. If you're looking for a quiet stay, this is not the place. If you enjoy the party vibe, you'll feel right at home.

Breakfast is delicious but portions are small and there are no options to choose from — it's a set menu. If you're a big eater, you'll leave hungry.

Overall a great property with a lot of character, just know what you're getting into.

The staff was friendly but lacked unprofessional attitude
There was only 1 small waste basket, no telephone to communicate with front desk, they cut hot water very often during the day every day and every day , late in the afternoon we have to wait for room to be cleaned because they where under staff for the 18 room the hotel have.
In the nighttime we could not sleep because we heard the music extra loud throughout the walls until 3:45 AM every day of ours stay (they have a rooftop disco in the night)
Also we heard loud screaming of woman having sex in the corridor in front of our room or that sounds like
This Hotel will never be recommended stay away.
There’s a Hotel Hahstag 98, 1 block away, looks much better

No me hospedo otra vez ni lo recomiendo. Lo bueno es que el servicio muy bueno en la recepción, la vista del rooftop y los cocteles buenos. La comida no me gustó, el desayuno es más o menos. La habitación es amplia pero no tiene luz, no tiene espejo grande, se escucha todo de la habitación del lado, la ducha no tiene donde agarrar tu cosas de haceo. La ubicación está perfecta si quieres ir al Poblado. Lo siento pero no me gustó.

The Somos Hotel was a wonderful stay! The rooms were beautiful and spotless! Just as important was the staff. They were super friendly and helpful. It means a lot when the every staff member really wants to make your stay enjoyable. I mean everyone from the front desk team to the restaurant team to the bartenders on the amazing rooftop bar! Highly recommend and will be one of my go to spots. Plus, location is perfect within a few steps of everything. Highly recommend! Gracias, Somos Team!!!!

Pros: Location & just the size of the room

Cons: Absolutely everything else.
Upon check in- there was no towels in the room, not even toilet roll. We had to go downstairs, ask for & bring everything up ourselves.

House keeping make the beds and do literally nothing else. No vacuuming or mopping. Sheets with stains on them.

The rooftop bar is tiny and drinks are overpriced.

Breakfast is limited and not great.

No idea how this hotel has had such good reviews. So very disappointing!

The hotel was within walking distance from local restaurants. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure of the shower was just amazing. Front desk staff was helpful. In the morning breakfast options were different each day in which I enjoyed. The server in the morning was nice. The roof top had an amazing view and delicious drinks. Overall, it was a nice stay.

However this 1 star review was 100% earned by the manager Camilo Barco. This was my third stay, over 4 years, as a returning client of this hotel. I booked 7 nights straight. I was comfortably settled in my room for 2 days and on the third day, the manager Camilo Barco decided to make an executive decision to pull me out of my room and transfer me to the 9th floor where the music from the rooftop bar flows directly into the room. Camilo, you didn't have to do that, to your loyal, returning guest. I guess he was worried that other guest might leave a 1 star review if placed on the 9th floor and hoped that i wouldn't. Well, Camilo, you definitely earned this 1 star review for your hotel.

To the Owners: Keep an eye on this manager Camilo Barco. If he continues to make decisions that earn you 1 star reviews, i would consider demoting him or replacing him.

To the front desk and house keeping: Thank you very much for being competent and taking care of me while i stayed at your hotel. Just know that your manager Camilo Barco treated one your clients that is a good tipper, badly. Unfortunately, I wont be coming back.

Sorry if this last tip makes your job harder, but all of this was brought on by the manager Camilo Barco.

The hotel was really aesthetic and in a really nice location! The breakfast is from 7am-11am and it was prepared by a chef! They have a rooftop bar and it was really nice! They have shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and body lotion. The cons: they only give you 1 key and charge $35,000cop if you lose it. They don’t have hair conditioner. The bathroom does not have ventilation and they only give you two towels. The room doesn’t have a lot of light.

Overall, the cons are pretty insignificant. The hotel is great, staff is super nice, food is great, and location is awesome!

We stayed 2 nights, each morning we were awoken by the staff. In the evening the bass from the DJ was so strong it permitted the rooms. We were not offered any resolution, we asked to speak to a manager, we waited an hour, no manager showed up and then came back 4 hrs later still no manager. It was the worst service I have ever experienced when traveling. They charged us for 6 nights even though we only stayed 2…. It’s in between a ripoff and extortion.

No tv, no WiFi, stained linens, extra charges

When we got to our room, the television didn’t connect to the Internet (so we couldn’t watch tv). In fact, the Internet wasn’t working at all (this is probably why the tv wouldn’t work). We reached out to the front desk via the whats app number and explained that our tv wasn’t connecting to the internet and that the WiFi wasn’t working either. Since it’s a thick concrete building, we barely had enough internet service to send the what’s app message. Someone replied and said that they would send someone up to fix it. 6 hours passed, and no one came to fix it. So we were forced to fall asleep to the loud bass of the rooftop bar without any TV to drown out the noise and without any internet to access music or sleep sounds from our phones. Ear plugs would have been a nice courtesy from the hotel but we didn’t get those either.

The next morning (this morning) we physically went to the front desk and told them that no one had come by to fix the tv. They said that they didn’t know that our tv wasn’t working. 3 days, no tv, no WiFi. They sent someone to our room while we were out to “look at the tv” but instead saw a half fingernail size brown foundation (makeup) mark on one of their makeup towels, and charged us $30,000 pesos to replace it. They replaced our towels the next day with stained towels they said were “clean.” We were not allowed to check out without paying that fine. We never got the tv or WiFi fixed. Terrible experience. Overall I liked the place, beautiful room, great breakfast, and good location. I really wanted to leave 5 stars, but on the 2nd day one of the hotel cleaning staff stole food from our room while housekeeping. As a woman traveling with valuables, I had set up my own little security camera in my room. When I was away and the cleaning was done by the staff, one of the women looked through my items and took food (video evidence). When I presented this to the front desk, they had no apologies and said “maybe she had a diet and needed to eat” and “she thought it was trash”, even after I showed video and audio proof that showed that she knew fully well that she was stealing. While I’m not upset that it was just food taken, but rather a concern of privacy. The next day, they reached out to me via WhatsApp to apologize for the situation which was appreciated, but I wouldn’t feel safe leaving my belongings behind.

We were put on the 9th floor- the 10th is the club. Soooo loud!!! The blinds didn’t work and the AC was not strong to start but it would only run when we were in the room so it would be really hot when you arrive. Could not go to rooftop bar because of private event. We asked to switch rooms and they agreed. We came down with our stuff and then were told, nope. No other room. Sorry. At 11pm. We ended up at the wonderful Click Clack!! Go there. So good!!!

Hotel refused to check us in, and wanted to move us to their flat in a different location, and which cost half the price. They refused to refund the difference. They also refused to call us a taxi when we declined to the change, and asked for a refund. Classic \"Bait and switch\" tactic. No apology, very unprofessional staff sniggering and laughing when we were stressed trying to find out about the change. Photo shoot occurring in the reception. Various lies given re why they wanted to move us, including booking wasn't with them (despite being booked and paid for several weeks in advance, and hotel email confirming the floor we would stay in ), then no electricity etc etc ... Refused to prove this to us, and they just sniggered when we pointed out the marketing shoot that was going on!

I was unfortunate enough to stay at this hotel. I booked it for two nights but I had to leave after just one.
Here are the lowlights of this place:

The room was dark and had a tiny window that included a blackout shade, this didn’t go up making the room a dungeon

The toilet was full of white stains and so was the floor. I came to the room at 2 am so I had no chance to see the bathroom until the morning. What a disgusting experience. That is absolutely unsanitary and a danger to their guests. .
After I saw the toilet I decided to leave the hotel immediately.
I contacted Expedia to obtain a refund for the extra night and they in turn contacted the property. No one answered, no surprise there.
I finally got an email from Expedia saying that the property refuses to refund me, citing their “strict” no cancellation policy.
It’s ironic that the hotel has a “strict” cancellation policy and NO STRICT CLEANLINESS AND QUALITY POLICY.
As a result of this disgusting and unsanitary situation I will contact the local authorities and provide a well documented and evidence based complaint.
DO NOT SATY HERE!!!!

This hotel is a great option for any solo travel or young couple visiting Medellin for the first time. I say that because it is not a \"quiet\" hotel, or somewhere you can catch up on sleep.

Because of the architecture of the building, anything that happens in the 24-hour lobby can be heard in the rooms. The rooftop bar is also open to the public so you will hear people walking in and out of the lobby/elevator, etc.

I didn't have a problem with it, good to know for anything who is sensitive to the noise.

The breakfast-included was phenomenal with different options everyday (cooked to order). I had yogurt parfait and the daily egg option, with juice and coffee.

The rooms are warehouse-like with fun details.
The location is great as its walking distance to Parque IIeras (going out area) and many restaurant options.

I felt safe as a single female traveling on her own.

The hotel was beautiful and very nice, nice location, walking distance to everything. The only thing that need to change is the bathroom towels. Are to ruff and old.
