The breakfast was fresh and good. Contact the local Gideons in Vernon County for more Bibles. As there was no Bible in my room. You may want to put up an office sign because didn't know where front entrance was to check in.

I really wanted to enjoy this stay as I grew up in the area and was told that the new management made this a better hotel. It did not.
We checked in on a Sunday night and the light around the mirror in the bathroom did not work. We mentioned it as we left and were told they would look into it. On Tuesday, we asked again and were told a note would be given to the manger. By this time the entire wall of outlets and lights on this wall were flickering and shorting. On Wednesday we told a night shift worker who told us “It is the manager’s perogative as to whether it would be fixed”. We told the manager on Friday and she told us she would take the room out of service when we checked out on Saturday. It was never fixed and we worried so much about a fire that we kept our IDs in the car.
The day we checked in we noticed three Cheerios on the carpet on the second floor. We decided to see how long they remained on the floor. Six days later—they were still there at checkout.
The TV had a vertical yellow line running down the middle. We didn’t bother to mention it, given how little concern was shown towards a possible electrical fire.
Breakfast was fine with good coffee. There was always sufficient parking.
I don’t know where the disconnect between the staff and service and safety occurred—-but I urge people to avoid this place until these issues are addressed.
Also, there is no elevator. Be warned.

You’d better off staying out of this town. I paid 180$ for a room that smelt funny, it was dark, not maintained. No pool. People curling their hair in the breakfast room while others ate. The bath tub round metal piece came off the bottom of the tub. You could hear people walking upstairs and you heard the shower and toilet flush from everyone around the room.

We stayed 2 nights in a second-floor walk-up room which was large and quiet. Parking is very ample. Breakfast featured 3 cold cereals, flavored yogurts, apples & oranges, and hot food, coffee & tea. I think it is the best motel in Viroqua.

The property has obviously wear and tear but there was a solid attempt to make updates. Overall, it’s clean but feels old. The team was kind and welcoming. The free breakfast actually exceeded my expectations! I would have given it 4 stars BUT there were obvious stains on the blankets and pillow cases. We had 5 rooms, and 3 out of the 5 had issues. It’s gross. Probably should just throw them away even if they are clean.

This was not a good value overall. There was a sign on the counter apologizing for having no housekeeping services (not 3 days at a time for conservation, but a typed sign saying no services).

We requested coffee and sugar packets for our room and were told there were none and we could get it in the lobby. We requested extra pillows because the pillows were very small and flat. They had none and suggested we roll up blankets.

The employees were fairly nice, but it was really obvious this place had a dimishing amount of operating capital and is eeking out an existence.

Not a good value at $135 a night and will not stay there again.

Many other little things (no in room safe) that would take a page to list.

There was a sticky spot on the tile floor near the sink. Very thin walls and could hear the snoring of the person in the next room. Microwave and fridge in the room, but were dated and the plastic was yellowing. Towels were clean. Room setup was a bit odd, with the sink in the main room and the toilet and shower in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable enough, but pillows left something to be desired.

There is no public elevator for this 2 story hotel! Wish we would have know that. My 84 year old mother had a terrible time navigating the steps.
No rooms available on 1st floor. We won’t stay again.

A lot of things were dirty. The bedspread on one of the beds in my room had stains and I brushed away some dirt. The sink has a crack in it. Someone spilled coffee down the wall by the door going out of the room. It had not been cleaned up before I got the room. The bathroom shower drain is not attached and floated off when I turned the water on. It was gross. In the lobby the carpet was very dirty from chips or something all over the floor in front of the slot machines. Why are there slot machines in the hotel? The fireplace in the lobby was covered with dust. Breakfast was pretty good. I was disappointed. When I stay in a hotel I expect for it to be clean. They really need to fix that drain in the shower. Thank you.

We stayed in an extended stay room with family staying in the room adjacent. We had to unplug our refrigerator due defective fan motor. The fridge had not been wiped out and the ice cubes were dehydrated. The worst thing was the awful sound the fridge was making. There was only 1 set of towels for 2 people for two nights. There were no kitchen towels or wash cloths. No paper goods in the kitchen. There were no spare blankets. The blanket that I got from the front desk had the shadow of a stain in the center of the blanket. There’s no dishwasher in the kitchen but a big hole in the cabinet where it used to be. Just inot inviting! If you know you’re having guests in a room make sure there are clean linens, spare blankets and make sure the fridge isn’t going into orbit.

One night stay was great

We came in for a 1 night stay for a sports game. When we checked in we were able to up grade our room for under 10.00. The staff was truley amazing. I talked with the front desk staff for a few minutes in the morning and she was so personable and truly so very kind. The morning breakfast was perfect for our needs plenty of variety and selections. If im ever in the area of Viroqua again i will definitely make sure i stay at the American Inn again. Thank you

The person who checked me was not friendly or welcoming, didn’t even smile. It looked like the room hadn’t been vacuumed, and the top sheet was dirty. I asked the next morning for the sheets to be changed and the room to be vacuumed, but when I returned that evening, neither had been done. And there was no elevator. I would not recommend this hotel.

Got in after being on the road at 1 am. Found dirty socks in the closet. Was so tire just wanted to sleep. Got up and noticed the night Stan was dirty where someone ate something and left crumbs and ring marks from there drink. Many things were broken also.
If I would have gotten there at a reasonable time I would have went down and complained. Makes me question what else was not clean.

This was my first stay in an Americinn by Wyndham. It will probably be my last. After a long day of driving and being in excess of 3/4 of a century old, I didn't like that I was on the second floor and there was no elevator. It was a hard climb with two heavy bags.
Next morning when I opened my blinds I notice a build up of dust on the stone sill. I also wasn't certain that the bed sheets were deep cleaned due to some staining on them when I climbed in.
Breakfast options were good and open at 5:00 AM. This was great since I had an early fishing trip.
