Great view, nice room, friendly staff and delicious buffet dinner. The hotel offered parking with ev charger, unfortunately there were additional costs associated with the parking. The pool was great, steam sauna was ok. The hotel left a great impression overall.

Delightful stay at the Ullensvang Hotel—an oasis of beauty and tranquility! The fjord is unbelievably stunning and the property is both pristine and elegant. So many beautiful rooms throughout the property where you can sit with friends or quietly by yourself reading a book. Very thoughtful design that is highly grounded in historical context. The food was terrific as well. Stayed an entire week and didn’t want to leave. The town has a lot to offer-hiking, bakery, bistro, pizza restaurant with outdoor seating on the pier, cider farms, and ferry boats, as well as other accessible excursions, etc.

Ullensvang is my favorite hotel in the world. I first came here 40 years ago. The fjords and mountains are spectacular. The food continues to be wonderful and the service is the best. I hope to come back often.

We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful fjord view. It was very handy for the local bus which stopped outside the hotel and a ferry which used the hotel pier. There was no information about the hotel or facilities in the room and it lacked signs to the facilities. We ate at out in the evenings as the buffet was expensive and had to be prebooked plus there was no detail about the choice of food at buffet. midweek this was still tricky as the only other place serving evening meals closed early.
The weather was great so it was good having the gardens and bars available. The family pool was closed but no maintenance appeared to happen. Floors between pools very slippy with lack of handrails.

If you want to treat yourself on your trip to Norway stay here. Wonderful location, great food, professional staff, multiple pools and everything slows down here. The cider experience is fun. You can have an adventure with Trolltunga Active (an area activity guide service) and then unwind afterwards.

Beautiful location, nice rooms with a view and great swimming pool, sauna etc. Let down slightly by lack of treatments in the spa, food options and hotel run activities. For the activities, they had a desk but it wasn’t manned by the company who ran them and the Ullensvang staff were unhelpful and dismissive about organising. Also oddly the kayaks themselves were stored at the hotel but couldn’t be rented. Dining options were very limited - the restauraunt switches to a buffet in high season which was eye wateringly expensive even for Norways standards. There is a nice restaurant a few doors up for lunch and a pizza place that opens Fri, Sat and Sun but apart from that staying for a few nights would be very expensive and monotonous.

A little worn around the edges, but a great place to relax. We stayed here after many days of hiking and enjoyed the spa, sitting on the lounge chairs enjoying the gorgeous view. Breakfast buffet is stellar. Dinner felt expensive and limited dining options in the area so plan for that. Walking distance to the ferry and grocery store. Rooms were quiet and soundproof with good blackout curtains, which made for great sleeping in summer nights when it’s light until very late.

Absolutely beautiful location with stunning view of the fjords. Many wonderful amenities such as tennis court, pingpong tables, indoor and outdoor pool(infinity for outdoor), beautiful areas to walk and cozy places to sit. The exercise room/gym is undergoing renovation and I appreciated that the ownership is slowly updating various areas around the property as while well maintained, is slightly worn. However, the staff and stunning view make this a place that we will definitely be coming back to

Glorious amenities! There are 5 meter high view windows from the sauna and the indoor pools, plus a small beach to dive into the chilly fjord, plus heated (not too hot) lazy river and outdoor pools, warm mosaic tables, tennis, etc--all right on the fjord. Amazing property. Dinner was pricey and pleasant, with not much choice and no vegetarian or gf options, but convenient hours. Good breakfast buffet included. Room was pleasant. View was spectacular!

Boblebad var kaldt og utebasseng var kaldt.
Maten må eg dessverre si at det skuffet litt. Renhold på rom var ikkje helt bra og det var høylydt fra korridor.

Short way to food shop bunpris and 2 pizza/cafe resturants , cider farms.

the hotel has many small rooms where it is possible to relax with coffee and drinks.
you can sit both outside and inside.
the bar opens at 21:00 in the basement and has good seating.

Ett unikt hotell med sina styrkor och svagheter

Hotellet ligger på en unikt vacker plats. Det har funnits där i ca 150 år och det känns som varje år har det haft något nytt projekt som det startat, det finns rum för allting med det hänger inte alltid ihop. Men ett stort plus för tennisbanan och att de erbjuder bra tennisträning och utrustning. Inredningen på rummet och toaletterna känns som från Dallas på 80-talet men funkar. Det är inte så mycket norskt bland personalen vilket tar bort lite av de gamla anorna de gärna visar. Kort sagt, ett unikt hotell med sin styrkor och svagheter. Området runt hotellet är fantastiskt, bra pizzeria en bit bort (ganska dyr buffe på hotellet) och musteri uppe längs sluttningarna.

Hotellet har nydelig beliggenhet og vakker utsikt. Selve hotellrommet var rimelig slitent og trenger sårt en fornyelse! Gammelt heldekkende gulvteppe gjør opplevelsen guffen. Fellesrommet er i bedre stand, og maten i restauranten var svært god. Spa-anlegget er upraktisk og utdatert.

Frokost bufféen var vi veldig fornøyd med. Middags bufféen derimot syns vi var mindre bra. Her var ikke utvalget det beste, og til en pris av 695kr pr stk hadde vi forventet mer.

Rommet var greit, og renholdet var bra.
Hotellet har en fin plassering ved vannet, og godt med sittegrupper ute.

Ble anbefalt middagsbuffet på kvelden til pris 799,- Hvor utvalget varm- mat ikke samsvarte med pris! Det var laks eller biff å velge i, sistnevnde som for UT var ganske rå. Ingen friske grønnsaker! Buffeen besto og av endel spekemat!
2 av stikkontaktene på rommet fungerte ikke, heller ikke TV! Klagde på dette og fikk refundert middagen.

Un cadre magnifique mais quelques finitions à revo

Le cadre de l'hôtel est magnifique et l'hôtel est un petit musée au bord du fjord
Les installations aquatiques sont très agréables et permettent de passer de super moments meme si le temps ne s'y prête pas
Le dîner du soir est en revanche très cher pour le prix et les chambres ne sont vraiment pas modernes et les produits d'hygiène ne sont pas des rituals comme sur les photos hormis dans la douche de la piscine.

Vi bodde her i en natt. Veldig koselig og fint sted.
Det ble servert buffet, istedenfor å la cart meny, noe som det sto på nettsiden at det ikke skulle gjøre. Dette var noe skuffende, og kvaliteten på maten var ikke noe å skryte av. Det samme må spises om frokosten, som hadde mangler som brød utvalg. Her også virker det som kvaliteten ikke er så bra som det kan være og bør være til prisen man betaler.

Helt forkastelig !

Hotellet er ikke det det en gang var. Vi spurte om maten hva som ble servert i buffèn og vi fikk til svar sjømat, kjøtt og vegetar. Vi ønsket å vite hvilket type kjøtt men fikk til svar det kommer an på. Det var lam, svin og fisk. Maten kostet nesten 700kr pr pers og var ikke verdt mer en 100kr. Et hav av desserter der ingen smakte godt. Kunstig å dårlig. Det var dårlig kjøtt, bløte grønnsaker, ingen utvalg av saus. Frokosten var heller ikke god. Mangel på det meste og eggerøren smakte kornete og rar av ferdig egge pulver. Bacon som var sur og noe halvstekt lagt i en stor bakke som var helt ujevn stekt. Vi har vert mye på Ullensvang Hotell før 2019 og hatt utrolige matopplevelser men nå i 2024 er ikke maten og fasiliteten å sammenligne og ikke verdt så mye penger for dårlig mat og mat man lager bedre hjemme. Spar pengene! Vi måtte oppgradere rommet på grunn av det var null lydtett fra nabo rommet. 600kr ekstra der også. Det var ikke noe vi ville men det var en hund som hylte så mye og som skrevet ikke lydtett. Ingen bar åpen verken oppe eller nede heller. Hotellet trenger en skikkelig oppgradering da det ser helt likt ut som for 20 år siden. Det ble dessverre siste turen til Ullensvang for vår del og vi er så skuffet for å ha brukt nesten 6000kr på et døgn på noe som ikke er verdt det matmessig eller opplevelse. Veldig synd da vi tidligere har elsket å være der.

Fint opphold i Ullensvang

Kjempefint opphold. Herlig størrelse på rom med balkong som var tilpasset oss med en liten hund. Tipptopp frokostbuffet, prøvde ikke middag da buffer var eneste alternativ og det fristet ikke. Basseng, badstue og uteområder var flotte.

Vi bodde 2 dager på hotellet etter å ha gått Dronningstien. For en luksus, fantastisk sted med alt du måtte trenge for å føle deg fantastisk. Nydelig mat, hyggelig betjening og en fantastisk spa avdeling både inne og ute. Nydelig beliggenhet ved sjøen, vi besøkte koselig bakeri og frukt og cider gårder i nærheten. Et fantastisk opphold som anbefales på det varmeste.

Smukt beliggende, men med mangler

Hotellet er velbeliggende med fantastisk udsigt. Dejlig pool- område. Værelserne er ældre, men ok. Det er ikke muligt at lave kaffe/te på værelserne, hvorfor man må fra værelset i baren og købe kaffe!
Hotellets standard for service og madens kvalitet matcher ikke prisen for opholdet.
Restauranten er kæmpestor og ikke god. Vi spiste deres buffet, som var det eneste valg lørdag aften. Det var dårligt tilberedte retter og på cafeteria-niveau. Vi kom kl 19.30, hvor flere fade var tomme og blev ikke fyldt op. Restauranten og servicen matcher ikke det niveau hotellet lægger op til: 4 stjernet.
