The room and bathroom were clean, well decorated/
furnished, and spacious. The heated pools were awesome (along w the onsite bathrooms/changing rooms/showers) and there were plenty of loungers available. The food and ice cream at the Milk House were good (though a little pricey) and kids had fun playing the at-table games. We are excited to return when construction is done to enjoy the new areas they are currently finishing as well as to hit the driving range. There are a lot of cool shops and delicious food joints nearby. Perfect place to spend the weekend.

From start to finish this is a fantastic property. They let us check in early before we went to the crater and the gal at the front desk was so sweet and gave all options for me to move around the property with an injury that made it hard for me to walk. The room was perfect! One of the nicest Ive ever stayed in and the property is so nice! Especially the pools and spas! Too notch property and will definitely stay again!

There is major construction going on. The parking lot is an unpaved mud pit. Had to drag our bags through the mud to get to our room. Mud all along the paved path. Inside the room was clean, 4 stars, but the whole experience was not good. Wife couldn't sleep as the mattress was so uncomfortable. We booked two nights but left after one. Couldn't stand it. AND Hotels.com WOULD NOT REFUND/CREDIT US FOR THE NIGHT WE DID NOT USE.

I'm going to give them a 5 star review because they're in the middle of remodeling and they need to be given some grace.

Room: The new rooms were comfy and clean. Only thing I would suggest is adding one more arm chair & a side table in the smaller rooms.

Dining: The servers were so kind and good communicators. The menu was fun. Food was good. My family and I loved the little cafe on site.

Pool: Oh man. The pool is absolutely amazing. Swimming in a hot spring/heated pool during the winter is definitely a fun experience. The bathrooms at the pool were clean and spacious. The showers stayed hot even with 3 showers in use.

Will definitely be going back, even just to enjoy the pool.

Such a cute property, we loved the pools! The rooms were nice. The in room mini fridge doesn’t get super cold, and we had a hard time maintaining a good temperature in the room, the temperature gauge seems to be off because it was either too cold or too hot. But overall the resort and amenities were great!

I have loved staying at the Homestead before. This time was hard. The parking lot is a muddy mess. It's not like staying at a resort; it's a construction zone. The only thing to do is swim. There is no restaurant anymore, only the Milkhouse, which takes forever to get your food. The room we stayed in was not very clean. It wasn't worth paying resort prices for an unfinished venue. The staff was kind, and we made the best of the trip, or I would have rated it even lower.

This would absolutely be 5 stars for us once the construction is finished. For now, I felt the experience was not aligned with the cost of the stay. The whole resort is impacted by the construction. That said, the room was nicely decorated as the photos depict, also very clean. We weren’t able to hear any construction noise in the room. Pools are great and the crater is a cool experience. Paved path to walk down to Main Street for shopping and other dining experiences was great!

Such a beautiful resort—we went for our anniversary and the potential here is incredible. Unfortunately, it’s still very much under construction. There was a lot of noise near where we were staying, along with burning that made the area smoky and unpleasant at times.
That said, once everything is finished (hopefully by this summer), I truly believe this place is going to be amazing. We’re already looking forward to coming back and bringing the whole family when it’s fully complete.

The room was in excellent condition, however you need to request room cleaning 24 hours in advance. It took them 48 additional hours to come to our room to clean it and to adjust the thermostat which was blasting heat out very high. The coffee shop is cute and delicious, however not enough employees. The entire resort is under construction now. I had book a reservation in the outdoor igloo and inside the restaurant for 2 different dinners while I was staying for a week. They called and cancelled at the last minute because of the construction, but I wish I had known sooner. All in all it was a good stay, and I'm sure these kinks will be worked out after construction is finished.

Homestead was such an amazing experience. We went for one night for our honeymoon. They upgraded our room complementary, and the amenities were all available and wonderful to enjoy. We ended up eating at the. Milk shack Café for brunch. Food was amazing and well priced. We will definitely be coming back for our yearly anniversary. Thanks Homestead for an amazing experience.

Our stay was awesome! The property is beautiful.. there is ALOT of construction going on and the walk to the pools was a lot further than usual which sucked because it’s winter time! The pools are so cool and yes warm! The pools on the upper level are a lot warmer! Our room was great very clean and modern. We didn’t eat any breakfast or food there during our stay so I can’t comment on that but I will say get to the Milk House sooner rather than later they ran out of ice cream before 6pm and ran out of breakfast items before 9:30! Beautiful place to be and a great experience

Pros: The rooms are great- clean and updated. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The amenities are also clean and updated. The pools were so beautiful and fun. Cons: All of the food options on the property were extremely expensive and we only felt like some of it was actually worth the money. Some things tasted so fresh and delicious and world-class and others tasted like day-old grocery store food. When you pay that much money for food you expect it to ALL taste fresh and well curated. There is also a lot of construction currently. This was very confusing for us at times when we were trying to find our way around. There is some signage but not quite enough in some areas (specifically the parking lot). The only complaint we had about our room was that we could hear the people above us like we were in the same room. And they had very rambunctious kids who didn't go to sleep until almost midnight. Having young babies ourselves this was very frustrating. So even though the interiors are updated and comfortable, the buildings themselves are very old and creaky. Overall it was a good stay- we dont regret going. But we will probably never go back unless we have a couple hundred extra dollars.

I’m not quite sure where to start, as my thoughts are a bit all over the place, but overall I’ve been very disappointed with our recent stay at The Homestead.

We’ve stayed here once before during the summer and really enjoyed the experience, which is why I decided to surprise my wife with a two-night weekend stay for her January 13th birthday. It was meant to be a quiet getaway for just the two of us, away from our family of six. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations.

The ongoing construction was brutal and impacted nearly every part of our stay. Parking was inconvenient, and walking to amenities required long detours—especially unpleasant when it was around 20 degrees outside. Getting to the pool was particularly frustrating.

Once there, the pools were only lukewarm, and the hot tubs were actually cold. Only two of the “hot tubs” were functioning, which made them overcrowded and unenjoyable. At one point, there was even a propane leak while we were in the pool, which was concerning. To make matters worse, all outdoor furniture was covered in snow, leaving nowhere to set personal belongings.

Food and beverage service was also disappointing. We ordered two $8 chais from the Milk Bar, and both were served room temperature. The breakfast burrito was burnt on the outside and cold in the middle.

I spent close to $550 for two nights and genuinely expected a much better experience.

1. Santa was fabulous, friendly and the highlight of our trip.
2. The staff in the Milkhouse were unfriendly, it took 35 minutes to get our breakfast and my eggwhite breakfast sandwhich was cold on the inside of the eggs (had not been even warmed through)
3. Reached out to the front desk three times throughout the day and night and no one ever answered. (Were told someone would be able to answer 24 hours a day)
4. Swimming Pools were fabulous.
5. Dinner in the igloo globes was nice and faster service than elsewhere but did feel rushed.

The room was very cute and modern. I loved staying here in December! They let me check in as soon as I arrived an hour early, which was so appreciated throughout my travels. I sat my stuff down and basically hopped right into the crater! The crater is any nature lovers delight. Then the hot tubs and pool were literally perfect. Food was good at the restaurant and ice cream was also divine! Fun stay! I’d do it many more times!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and full of that unique charm you can only find in the Heber Valley. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, and the entire resort had a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax the moment I arrived.

The staff truly made the experience exceptional—everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure guests had a great visit. The grounds are stunning, with gorgeous mountain views and plenty of open space to explore. Wonderful stay and overall experience! Despite the construction that so many mention, we had an unforgettable stay that was not impacted significantly by the work zones. We REALLY enjoyed the convenience of the pools, the scenery, and the friendliness of the staff. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. Swimming in the crater (which isn't owned by the hotel) was just \"meh.\" I preferred the resort's pools but I suppose the crater was worth it just to say I did it. I would book earlier as the slots fill up.

I paid extra for a balcony suite, and called beforehand asking for a room with a beautiful view. The attendance said that my room had some of the best views on the property. Instead, all I could see was dirt and construction equipment I would have stayed somewhere else or would have purchased a different, less-expensive had I known. Disappointing after specifically asking about the view and not being told that it was obscured by construction equipment.

This is an incredible place to stay to just relax. The pool is awesome. My wife and I will most definitely return. The only reason for the 4 star on the staff was the Milk House Coffee staff. They were young kids that did not know how to work the customers. The milk steamer was boiling over and we had to tell them to grab it. They seamed overwhelmed. This was not a deal breaker the rest of the staff were great. Just constructive criticism. We will return!

Wouldn’t recommend. The only thing we loved were the pools they are pretty amazing, but the staff was incredibly rude, homestead is very deceptive they say on their website that they have a “homestead crater” on their property it turns out its not even theirs they are a completely different company so when we asked at the front desk about the crater they had no information to give us except “ we are not affiliated with them” so you have to figure out how to get a hold of someone on your own. The crater has a sketchy little shack apparently where you get tickets, it was always closed. Nobody gave us the correct restaurant hours, the restaurant got our orders wrong, our a/c didnt work in the room, we thought this would be a luxurious experience, but was more like motel 6 service. Don’t waste your money here

The only problem with the \"Family Suite\" is that there is no desk or table. Large bathroom and closet, but no space to place anything that you would need to set down like snacks and cups for kids.

Unfortunately, this beautiful resort is under major construction and they never mentioned it when booking. And when we reviewed their own website no mention of construction either. Our nice room is right up against buildings and ground under construction. Internet down cause construction cut line. No TV, coffee shop mostly down, no smoker for food, best restaurant on site closed, front desk phone down, construction noise until 8p. What a shame. And it was our 30th anniversary. Staff good but not many around. Beautiful pools and hot tubs. Will be great resort someday….
