We just adored our vacation at Meeru Maldives Resort Island! We cannot say enough on how wonderful the whole experience was! From the staff who were all so welcoming and so attentive, to all the amenities and activities offered, there is something for everyone. We were treated so well, they made us feel like we mattered as guests. My husband celebrated his birthday during our stay and all the detailed attention were beyond what we would have ever expected! Nice and relaxing stay

First off the food was really good, the idea of theme nights was excellent and it was amazing to see a wide selection of foods including vegetarian. My only grumble (and it is minor) is that none of their chocolate deserts tasted like chocolate (excluding the ice cream).

We stayed in the Adults-only area unfortunately children were regularly there, not that they were noisy but its a consideration to think about should they continue to allow it and does become noisy. Also it was really weird that women were allowed to wear sleeveless tops but men weren't!

We stayed in a room over the water which had a lovely view but the room itself was a bit tired and needed a refresh.

Staff were pleasant and our stay was enjoyable, not perfect thus the 4 stars.

We had to wait for about an hour at the airport after the agreed check-in time before we were able to board the speedboat going to the resort which also takes almost an hour. If you have an Expedia VIP benefits, you would need to raise that to the resort as they wouldnt tell you what you are entitled to. Also, the benefits are misleading specifically around the credit for activities you can do in the resort. The resort is beautiful and the meals are very good - changes every meal and every day.

A beautiful resort with wonderful views. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was ever a problem. Great snorkelling around the island and they take a boat out to a house reef 3 times a day. I would also recommend the other snorkelling trips to long reef and turtle reef. The all inclusive food package exceeded expectations. Like the fact that part of the island was adults only with an amazing pool. A memorable time that we will not forget.

Meeru resort island was absolutely fantastic and could not recommend it enough to anyone else that would like to go to the Maldives.
It has a lovely combination of pure relaxation and activities for any of those people that struggle with sitting still, sunbathing for too long.
We stayed in the overwater villa with the all inclusive package and this was the best choice ever.
The food was absolutely top notch, including the buffet. And having some Al la carte option included in the all inclusive package was an added bonus.

This place is a gem!!! From the minute we arrived at the airport to the second we got back we were taken such good care of. The workers on the Meeru island are one of a kind; so kind, such hard workers, and always going the extra mile to make sure you’re okay. The jacuzzi water villas are worth it and so is the all-inclusive. I don’t think there’s many places that compete with this one, book the trip you won’t regret.

Very very friendly staff at this resort. Just be careful not to go crazy with spending and make sure you watch prices, especially if you bought the \"All Inclusive Package\". Most stuff is free but a decent amount isn't, just make sure you read the menu before purchasing.
The property is amazing and so is the staff, probably one of the best parts of the trip. Aafi was an amazing staff worker

We absolutely loved the island, one of the best we have visited so far. The only thing we did not like is the fact that our room request we made before arrival was not acknowledged at all. We were allocated one of the rooms that was not yet renovated, even though we arrived when the occupancy was very low and we could have been put in a newly renovated room. This was rather disappointing. Apart from it, we had a great holiday and loved the resort!

Just WOW!! Our whole stay was perfect, such friendly staff the island is lovely and green, we stayed in a beach villa right on the beach it was adults only section and the restaurant we had our meals was adults only as well.
Meals were all excellent, plenty of choice and cooked perfectly.
We were all inclusive as the drinks can add up $12.50 for mocktail and around $15/$16 for a cocktail.
Mini bar in room for All Inc refilled everyday.
On the all Inc we got the chance to play golf, 1 sun set cruise which was amazing we saw dolphins and amazing sun set.
Canoes are also free to use.
The speed boat to island took about 50 min which have you the chance to pass other islands so a nice boat ride.
The sea is just like the brochures turquoise blue, we took our own snorkel set and beach shoes the snorkel is very expensive to hire per day and beach shoes recommended as lots of coral, but on the beach you can go bare footed, in facr they encourage it even in restaurant low key relaxed sand on the floor so you can walk around with no shoes if you want, it was a perfect place to relax and un wind.
Those with families have their own section and restaurant and pool, the adults only pool had an infinity pool didn’t use much as the sea was so tempting.
We saw a manta Ray, turtle and reef shark and lots of different types of fish.
We would highly recommend visiting Meeru you won’t be disappointed.
Booking through Expedia was easy and communication was excellent.

This resort is amazing and well worth the all inclusive price. All staff are very accommodating from room service to restaurant staff and chefs. Special thank you to Mr. Musaidh and Krystle for changing our water villa to 7 series from the one we were first allocated (3 series).

The first water villa allocated to us (3 series) had an open shower and bathroom and the toilet was visible from the jacuzzi, which did not work with us as I was travelling with Family (parents). The 3 series of water villa is more suited to couples.

There was no other issue with this villa, but strongly advise anyone travelling with family and wanting to book this resort to specify at time of booking that you would prefer water villa in 7 series (North of the island). 7 series villas are also more representative of the pictures that are displayed on hotels.com. The jacuzzi in the water villas are clean and provide a lovely view into the sea, if you are in 7 series water villas.

We are all vegetarian and non-alcoholic and found that their chef’s were very accommodating and made excellent and mouth watering indian vegetarian food.

The resort has so many facilities starting with golf, kayaking, tennis, paddle tennis, football field and the list is so large that I could go on forever. We were there for 3 nights and felt we could have spent some more days to enjoy the full list of facilities this island has to offer.

Had in INCREDIBLE stay at this resort and cannot recommend it enough! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in an overwater villa and our only regret is not staying longer.

The island itself is spectacular with gorgeous beaches spanning the entire coastline. One side of the island is best for snorkeling with the surrounding reef, which is where the overwater villas are. The other side is reef-free, ideal for swimming without having to pay much attention to your surroundings.

We saw an abundant amount of sea life from our room: reef sharks, sting rays, turtles, squid and countless fish species. The buffet food was fabulous - they do a great job catering to any preference.

We had our wedding photos/video done through the resort and we were blown away by the quality. Also had my hair and makeup done at the spa for one of our photoshoots, which turned out fabulous!

It takes about 30 minutes to run around the island, so there's plenty of space to roam. I miss Meeru already!!

This is a piece of paradise on earth! My wife & I spent there 11 days honeymoon and it was much higher than my expectations, everything was perfect specially the service & food. The whole island is unbelievably clean as well. We felt there that everyone working in the resort is there to serve you and make you happy.
Special thanks to Imad our restaurant guy who took care of us and was extremely polite & bubbly to me & my wife.
In fact the whole north restaurant staff was extremely nice, the chefs are true artists! The massage was perfect too. The excursion is amazing!
What else can I say? We can't wait to come back in few years! I can't imagine a better place than this in the whole world!
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: I respect more any business when I find workers living in good condition. I loved how employees are living the best life, they got their own leasure spaces where they can gather and have fun when they're not working! Much much respect!

Meeru is a great resort and I will definitely recommend it to family and friends. We were spending 5 nights with my wife for our honeymoon and the staff and members are amazing. Positive: The food is delicious, and they have different themes on dinner nights Unfortunately I could not try the Mexican but the others were delicious, always with a lot of variety and options. The water villas are awesome, you never know who is going to be your neighbor during the night it can be a turtle, baby nurse sharks (maybe bigger), or a stingray. The installations are in great condition, you can easily walk through the island but also you can call a \"buggy\" if you want them to take you to a specific place. Negative: We felt, the prices of activities out of the \"ALL INCLUDED PLAN\" are quite expensive, I am grateful to EXPEDIA for the discount and credit they gave us, I had discounts on excursions and $100 credit on beverages and food. My wife and I were very grateful and we will definitely keep be loyal customers to EXPEDIA. The gift shop also has expensive prices. The resort has 3 restaurants and the best one is \"Hot Rock\" our dinner was delicious. We also tried the \"Asian Wok\" but unfortunately we do not have positive comments to say about this experience, sorry but I will not recommend this restaurant. In general, Meeru was an excellent resort for our honeymoon, we were extremely happy with the staff in the restaurants and the ones in the excursions because they were always taking care us

We visited Meeru on our honeymoon and it really is a paradise!
We didn’t realise that for the snorkel trips you need to bring your own snorkels so remember to rent them from the dive centre at $10 a day which is well worth it as you can snorkel from the beach as well and see plenty!
The food is amazing and if you can, book the beach dinner on the Friday as the buffet was superb!
The evening entertainment when we were there wasn’t to our taste as it was a little bit slow but we think they may just be the laid back vibe of the Maldives.

We knew as soon as we got off the speedboat that Meeru was something special. The staff are always polite and were on top of things. Special thanks to Azidh! He is an awesome waiter and always took care of us with a smile. The water is beautiful. We actually preferred the beach on the children's pool side despite staying in an over the water villa on the adult side. A highlight for me was the bioluminescent plankton that glows like xmas lights. Ask the staff which side of the island is the best for this because it changes. Good diving with EuroDivers. Andrea and his crew run a tight ship. My wife enjoyed the spa and we both enjoyed the food.

Overall the stay was mostly pleasant. We did have some issues with the room being clean on the first day of the stay. This was eventually taken care of. And they did compensate with champagne and a free dinner for the troubles.
The hotel was beautiful as far as the scenery goes almost every picture you take looks like a screen saver. We had an over water bungalow which was nice as you could just jump off to go swim whenever you want and see the sunrise and set over the water.
We paid for the full board and didn’t go for all inclusive as we don’t drink that much atleast not 120$ a day. Each mixed drink is around $12 and beer about $8.00. Soft drinks are about $8 a drink.
There were a few things I think that could have been done better. Lower prices on sunscreen at the store as well as a reef safe sunscreen would be nice. The construction on the property was a bit of a nuisance which we just walked around to avoid hearing it. Also the rental of equipment for tennis, pickle ball, golf etc. The prices charged were pretty high and I don’t recall ever seeing anyone aside from staff use the courts due to it. To most people from the US this could be seen as price gouging.
The food on the buffet had a bit of variety from day to day and they did have certain theme nights with different foods. The restaurants around the island were very nice but costly. 100-150$ per person.
Overall good resort would visit again.

Meeru is very well run resort. Transport from Male takes an hour boat ride, which will be arranged close to your arrival time, no waiting. Welcome is lovely at the resort with Maldivian drums. Check in was easy and we got our room straight away even we arrived much earlier at least 4 hours The island has plenty of restaurants. We booked beach villa with jacuzzi, nice size with comfy bed and out door shower. We were on full board, the food was fantastic and lots to chose from and usually every day they had a different cuisine on show case. We were assigned to one of the 18 restaurant only for our full board meals, but we could visit the others if we wanted to too for extra cost. We have opted for my Birthday a candle light dinner on the beach next to infinity pool (Hot Rock restaurant) it was a fabulous experience with exceptional food and service. This island is one of the biggest on Maldives, but it never felt crowded.
When we snorkeld around the resort, we saw turtles, octopus, rays, puffer fish, sharks. Part of the reef looked absolutely pristine, but large part was effected by climate change. They arrange 3 times a day house reef snorkel trips (15 minuets boat ride) every day for free. Plenty of excursions and ground activities to keep guest entertained. Meeru is lovely place to visit, we will return. These place is prefect for couples only and families as well.

Our stay was amazing. It was our honeymoon and this place was great. The only issue we had was the front desk staff! Horrible with communication! We had 3 issues with reservations! The Maldivian staff at Hot Rock was AMAZING! Yaeesh and Ashuna took amazing care of us. Aslam was also another reason our stay was great from our buffet restaurant. Our main waiter Sanif was great as well. Overall this trip was awesome. My wife and I are happy.( just not with the front office staff)

Fantastic Paradise Island

It was an amazing holiday and everyone at Meeru made it so. From Hauwwa at the reception who welcomed us warmly and ensured I got access to internet for my meeting immediately we arrived, to the wonderful people at the restaurant, Sham, Hassan, Siraj, Jeesua, etc, Navaz at the water sports, people at the sports centre and bar, etc. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Facilities fantastic, beach beautiful, food so much variety. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Weldone to the fantastic crew at Meeru. Perfect holiday.

It was amazing stay...kind staff and helpful....food was good and COV2 measures at place so that was good too. Really relaxing break. Recommend as it is good value for money (not 5 star hotel but at some instances it was strong 4).

Beautiful island, very good food but bad service!

The island is amazing and the offered facilities are very good, many activities to do (most of them for free if you’re on all inclusive), the food was really good even in the Asian wok restaurant,
But the service wasn’t good, mean way in dealing with us and it happened in many incidences so please don’t reply that you’re sorry to hear that because you’re not!
I’m a frequent traveler spending most of my life in hotels so don’t reply by explaining about hospitality,
You pretend that you’re nice with people but actually you don’t care at all,
We called the operator without any response for more than 30 times over 5 hours on the first night just to check if it was a normal storm as the villa we were staying over the ocean water was shaking (far away from the reception so no way to walk)
Another guest I met the day after was complaining about the same issue! They have to understand that not everyone used to this weather!
mattress wasn’t comfortable,
we tried to laugh with them but always having poker face!
The doctor doesn’t provide what he promised to do, then claimed that he’s an employee and my management asked me to don’t do so!
Now they will reply that we can’t write something not real in the report and this is another lye Because I asked only to report the actual case! We know that the manager Adam did that because we complained about not answering our calls to the GM on the first night!
Really not a pleasant stay with Meeru team!
They only ruined our honeymoon!

The stay was incredible. I don’t think we missed anything at all.. we enjoyed the varieties of food available for all meals, the comforts of the villa, the amenities and the different channels to keep children and adults occupied. The politeness of the staff was commendable. We would love to visit the island again
