Quaint, quiet, cute, clean & convenient. Owner/manager so very nice & welcoming. We didn't spend much time on the property because we were visiting family in the area, but pool area seemed well maintained & clean. Internet signal was not great so if you have computer work to do it could be an issue for you. This is now our place to stay when visiting!

Welcoming w a few minor hiccups

Definitely needs black out curtains on windows especially by front door as you are 1) unable to turn off light outside your room and 2) sunlight comes through windows.

shower head is very low; bathroom sink is very small - tub is very high - not ok with people that can't bend knees well

to get to the 2nd floor - the stairs are VERY steep. not a good idea for anyone that has limitations or balance issues

freezer in fridge needs a good defrost

when you hang items in closet they protrude farther out then the closing slider

the owners are extremely welcoming and hospitable, place is clean, pool is wonderful and clean. location is awesome!

It's okay. The cottage we stayed in was some sort of mobile home or portakabin. It was on a bit of a slope and had seen better days. On the plus side the staff there seemed really nice, the pool was good, and by Hamptons standards it wasn't too expensive. But by any normal standards it was expensive for what you get. Not recommended but maybe other rooms are much nicer

Old school hamptons property on the water with a pool. Good enough to rest after work but old. The smoke detector kept going off whenever I took a hot shower.

Staff at the Bay Watch were friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were clean with the exception of the towels and bed linens that seemed to be a bit dingy (may have been just hard stains to get out) Otherwise, pool was excellent, location good and quiet, and for the price, I would highly recommend trying it out!

Cabins so close to each other. Nothing pleasant around the one we were assigned. Even though reservationist knew my spouse is 94 and cannot walk much, we were given a cabin down the back and in the back.

When we chose our location with a price tag of $350 a night and what was names a hotel and marina, we didn't imagine we would be coming to a 60s style motel with a room that was way outdated, with dirty floors (and under the bed when we went looking for something that dropped and we had to ask for new bath mat because our dirty foot prints were appearing on the bath mat). The owner was very kind and so were those who helped us get into the room (the key was the old fashioned key and the lock kept sticking). Not sure I would use Expedia again to look for hotels on Long Island.

It was ok. I left the tag for maid service but none was given. The staff asked if we needed anything and we told her towels. We had towel service but the bed wasn’t made up. This was a pretty expensive room and a good price for the Hamptons but we found nicer rooms for the same price.

The best thing about staying at the Baywatch is the pool and the area around the pool. The rooms are in need of upgrade, especially the shower and the noisy AC. The tile floors in the room weren't clean.

The Best place to stay in the Hamptons

This place is wonderful!! Rebecca is amazing. Can't wait to stay there again. We had Queen cottage #1. Plenty of room for 3 fun loving ladies. Grills and little sitting patio at each cottage and others available throughout the grounds. Gated pool area great with plenty of lounging room. Nice area in marina end to sit and look at amazing sunsets. Walking distance to some restaurants and Bars. The food truck on site has great breakfast and lunch items (homemade Greek items, yummy!!) This place is central to all things Hamptons!
This place is an excellent value, clean and friendly staff.

Our only suggestion for improvement is: Put a table or floor lamp in the living room, as the bright overhead light is not always what one wants when relaxing in the living room. Also, some coat hooks by the entrance door would be helpful. Otherwise, we were impressed!

Hidden Gem in Hampton Bays

Our first visit to this area, so we were not quite sure what to expect. The Baywatch is tucked between some marinas but is easy to find. The location is good, you can walk to the beach (about a mile) and there are some restaurants within walking distance, but since we visited in October, most were closed. Check in was great, the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed in the deluxe king suite. The space was very nice and roomy with a love seat and a small kitchen table and chairs, also a range, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Only a few basic kitchen utensils and plates and cups. Good for reheating some leftovers, not for full on cooking. Our unit was very clean and modern, even though the outside looks a bit dated. We did not use the pool due to the weather, cloudy, cool, and windy. We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if we visit the Hamptons again.

We stayed in the Queen cottage for 2 nights in early October. Cottage had everything, just the minimum of it though. Cottage was a big room with a small love seat, tiny table and 2 chairs pushed against the walls, as shown in the photos. Nothing fancy or that you would want to hang out in. We were 3 of us so the 2 queen beds were fine. There were 2 towels, although they brought us a bunch more towels very quickly. It was all very clean. We used the AC and the heat on this weekend! The outdoor area was set up with picnic tables, grills, chair groupings and a hammock, and with the tiki torches at night it was a great place to hang out. There is a marina at the end of the driveway, and you can hear the music from the local places across the water. We enjoyed it!
There are a couple of places to eat within easy walking distance, and we did see other guests coming back with their leftovers, although we did not visit these places while we were there. The proximity to the ocean beaches, just over the Shinnecock Bay, is fantastic!
The pool was open while we were there, and the weather was warm enough to use it, even in October. It looked very inviting. This is a nice little enclave tucked away with access to lots of the great things the east end has to offer, including the wineries, Hamptons, Sag Harbor, Riverhead, bay and beaches.

I had an amazing time staying for a weekend. The property was clean and the owners were very welcoming and quickly responded if I needed something. This is a great place to get away and RELAX the atmosphere is just peaceful and quiet. I plan to return next summer.

We loved it!

Even though quite expensive, it exceeded expectations. We loved the people who run the hotel, a large Greek family. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained. Very convenient location for morning hiking / jogging (1.2 miles) to the beach. Super quiet at night.

Amazing time, loved it so much went back the following weekend. Met some wonderful New friends and this is now my go to place every summer. I can’t talk Rave enough about the Food Truck, the owner that does the cooking should be in a 5 Star Restaurant. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel you have to take the ride out there and have breakfast or lunch. Exceptional all around!!!!!!!

The room and bathroom were clean and I loved that instead of carpeting, we had a hard floor. That always makes it feel cleaner to me. Overall, it was a simple, but comfortable room. The hosts are really nice, including Mitch the adorable \"guard dog\".

Very impressed with cleanliness. Its a motel but you can tell they care about their property. They have cameras watching all areas of property and they sit outside watching the coming and goings. I really like the room had floors instead of carpet and a little table and kitchen. Spacious double room, clean towels, plenty of parking, resturants and beach close. We didnt use pool but looked nice. Helpful staff. Would def stay there again.

Cottage was comfortable, cute kitchen area full equipped just bring your favorite food, picnic area with benches and charcoal grill available. Location just blocks away from Dune Road ocean beaches and eateries. Perfect getaway location for couples and families.

The location is very close to Ponquogue Beach (2 min drive or walkable over the bridge). It's about 40mn from South Hamptons. The restaurants nearby are ok, but require another 30min drive to South Hamptons for more choices.

As for the room, there were ants and sands. It wasn't as clean as we are used to. There were sands on the floor when we checked in. We came back with ants over the garbage can.
