Bathroom very small, tub and toilet, not very accommodating for larger people, sink outside very low, kids height or short adult. That room we were in, clean, overnight, would stay again.
The staff, I encountered, he was exceptional, informed me what channel the game was on, make you feel very welcoming.

Le decor de la chambre trahi l'age de l'établissement, cependant, bien que viellot, le mobilier est tres propre, solide et fonctionnel. Le rapport qualité/prix est somme toute interessant.
L'accueil est courtois, et l'enregistrement très rapide. La chambre était propre, les sols ne sont pas en tapis et le matelas ainsi que la literie étaient etrêment confortable dans la chambre qui m'a été assignée.

I did not like to find out that on one of the hottest days of the month that the hotel did not have air conditioning in our room. We had to sleep with the door open to get some air plus after finding mold in the bathroom I was not impressed.

Property was remote and great for star gazing. Night outdoor fire was a bonus. Room we had was top of the stars and as a result noisey. Also sound proofing was limited. We could hear every footstep of people coming upstairs and every door closing.Fortunately it quieted down after 11. So quiet we could hear the person snoring in the next room! 14 KMs of dusty gravel road to get there. No TV or refrigerator in the room.

Dust everywere, only 1 lamp worked. Rust and mold in bathroom/shower. Staines on futon, staines on bed base. No window, door was a patio door. Had a peice a wood to make sure it stayed closed/locked. Parking lamp would light the room even with curtaines.
Room very small, bathroom barely fonctional bathroom.
"Paper walls" we could hear other rooms and hallway (they were not screaming, i wouldnt be surprise if we could hear someone snore!)
Only reason we stayed was because it was late, didnt have a plan B and the sheets looked clean...

Nous avions réservé une chambre avec deux pièces telle qu’indiqué sur le site Hôtels.com. En arrivant nous avons eu une autre chambre avec deux lits doubles mais pas de chambre séparée. Ils nous ont dit que c’était la faute d’expedia. En plus c’était plus cher mais c’était tout ce qu’ils avaient. Le gérant a laissé un message à la réception que comme c’était la faute d’Expedia il ne pouvait rien faire.

Très chère pour la condition générale. Pas d’air conditionné, le decor date de 30 à 40 ans. Lits corrects sans mais petit. Salle de bain très ordinaire. Décevant.

The rate versus the room is a rip off! Two towels for 4 people and when i asked for more I was asked if I could come and get them??? Uh, no you can bring them thanks. Got attitude fired back. I would pay $90 a night for this type of place, not $226.00!

Overall stay was good. Expected separate rooms for 2 bedrooms suite but they were all together. No AC in the room either. Stairs were small. Too expensive for the quality but paid premium price for the peak season as everything else were sold out in the area.

The staff was very nice and helpful and they welcome pets. The front desk went from French to English with no problem. He also gave us a recommendation on a good restaurant in the area to have dinner in. The room was clean and welcoming with a view of the ocean and there are benches you can sit on to watch the sunset. The only problem was that there was no air conditioning but we used the fan and opened the window and that worked. The second night we were on the bottom floor and without air conditioning we had to sleep with the veranda screen door open, not safe but it worked.

Room seemed dated and had an odour although problem dissipated by opening window wide and putting on fan.
Room was advertised as sea view which was a bit of a stretch.
Price seemed very high although it was Saturday night at the height of summer, during the construction holiday and apparently every room in town was booked. Probably a lot better in the off season, and you would have a choice of rooms.

One night he stay on the way to gaspe

Our room was on the second floor with an ocean view. The view wasn’t nice but it was literally 35 degrees Celsius in our room. The hotel does not have air conditioning, rather they have fans to everybody. Fans didn’t do anything though since it was so hot. We also had a new born so we all sweat all night and barely slept. The room does advertise cable tv as well but there was not even one channel, so absolutely nothing to watch during our sleepless sweaty night. Would not recommend unfortunately especially for the 130 + taxes paid for one night!!

We had the familly room and the view is great over the sea. But, it is close to the port and during the night we woke-up because of a train or something verry loud close to our room... We were sleeping with the window open because the temperature in the room was really hot this night. There was a spa in the room. But, because it is not separated from the rest of the room, if 2 persons use the SPA(max) it is difficult for the rest of the familly to watch TV because of the sound... Bed were confortable. The main problem is that is not possible to redeme money on a "Hotel.com" card because it is not possible to register online... I just learned it while I was leaving... I think it should be clear before your arrival that you can not pay with this card on site... I guess it is not only a matter of this hotel... Something is missing when you regiser for an hotel...

Hotel is noisy despite claims by staff. You hear trucks all night long.

My main issue was that the water both at the sink and the bathtub was boiling hot. I found it out at 11 pm, and when I ask the manager for a rebate (I could not take a drink or shower), he refused, arguing I should have asked to change room in the middle of the night.

My suggestion.... AVOID, this not an ethical business.

We were stopping for one night. Front desk service was very friendly. The room was small; it would not have worked if we were staying for a few days, but was fine for the night. The patio door was a nice touch and the view of the ocean was also nice. The included continental breakfast was as expected; however, I would have appreciated the option to have cream in my coffee, rather than just milk.

Beautiful place, newly renovated.

This hotel was beautiful and is in a gorgeous location!!! I was able to watch the sunset in the Adirondacks in the -newly renovated recreational pavillion- hot tub.
Staff were wonderful, most went above and beyond..with one exception, which I will not hold against the establishment.
I have already recommended to 5 people!!

Marvellous Memories of Matene

This was an amazing location as it was close to the wharf with the ferry coming in and out, pebbled beach below with phenomenal sunsets that could be viewed from the benches just outside our patio door entry. It was a quiet, clean room with a mini fridge and continental breakfast included. The service staff were courteous, respectful and patient as my French is not the best. They helped with translations and clarifications as needed.
They only way to improve on this location would be have a microwave available in the room for those coming in late or travelling with children for warm snacks.
It was close to many spectacular sites around Matane especially the Matane Reserve which is the main reason for booking this location. However, after all the benefits listed above I would highly recommend to others visiting this region!

The staff was very accommodating,very helpful. Unfortunately the room was outdated,but clean.
The road noise was brutal so hard to get to sleep.. The final touch was that I had to shower in cold water,which was very annoying. Their continental breakfast was not great,coffee very weak,so all in all, this was not worth the price, even in summer.
