We had a GREAT stay. However.. There were some Pros and Cons. Pros: *staff was AMAZING *lots to do *food was good at all restaurants (not so much for the suite service) *our housekeeper, Belen, was very sweet and always kept our room clean *La Choya was one of our favorite spots - Canuto was so attentive. He remembered our names and always greeted us by name when he saw us
Cons: *TVs were terrible (but then again, who goes on vacation to watch TV) however, the channels in our bedroom were not the same as the living room *getting in and out of the hot tub was EXTREMELY dangerous - no step to get in or out *there are no easy accessible plugs in the bedroom. So we had to plug our devices in the kitchen. *Some room styles/decor are outdated *High School teens made the trip a little unbearable - most were drunk and unsupervised. Some had to get carried away from dining areas. The fact that bartenders continue to serve them when they are inebriated is scary...
Overall!!! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back.

Our stay at Pueblo bonito sunset was absolutely incredible and exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable.

One of the highlights of our trip was being upgraded to the Presidential Suite. The upgrade was handled without excuses or hesitation, and we truly appreciated how seamless the process was. The suite was beautiful, spacious, and offered breathtaking views that made every morning and evening special.

The resort itself was spotless, and the amenities were outstanding. Everything was well-maintained and designed to provide comfort and relaxation. The food was equally impressive, with delicious meals and plenty of variety throughout our stay.

What truly set this resort apart was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience.

Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 vacation. The views, the accommodations, the food, the amenities, and especially the incredible staff made this one of the best trips we’ve ever had. We would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

The resort was great. Our suite was in än older building but it was well kept. We had all inclusive and most of the restaurants were ok. The only one that we liked was the Japanese restaurant which we did dinner twice. The shuttle service was very sufficient. Getting around the resort was very easy. We forgot how windy Cabo could get and we got the entire windy week which somewhat took some of the fun out of it.

Take your own body wash . Prepare spending a lot of time waiting for ride pick up’s. You will be dependent on them to get around, the pools are not heated, very cold in June. And windy at the Bonito not as wind at the Rose resort it sits lowered on the mountain

Pueblo bonito Sunset Beach is the most relaxing paradise and I could not recommend it more
Our second time going we brought 4 friends with us. Yet again as soon as we step out of our Airport SUV we were greeted with great service and on Check in upgraded all of us and accommodated for all of us to be in the same building which they truly didn’t have to do but did out of the goodness of their hearts. For the second time we’ve had an amazing experience and I genuinely can’t think of another place i’d want to go on vacation other than Sunset Beach. I truly cannot wait for my next time going which would be my third time and I plan on recording for my followers to see and hopefully have Pueblo Bonito get the recognition they deserve. I sincerely couldn’t recommend a better place to stay

Beautiful resort. Complaints: getting around the resort is not easy - golf carts will pick you up and take you where you need to go and sometimes they are not very timely. Booked an all inclusive and almost every place had extra charges. The beach is not swimmable. I’m not trying to knit pick but small things that threw me off were - toilet wasn’t straight, outlets were few and far between, screen doors were not in the guides.

Now. It was a wonderful time for my wife and I. The views were stunning (especially at sunset). The staff were wonderful and everyone was super helpful. The night life was decent but it seemed like there was only one place at the resort to go to.

If someone were to ask me where to go in Cabo, I would tell the Riu Palace. I wouldn’t tell someone to not go to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, but I would encourage you to weigh your options.

This property is truly a treasure! As the largest of the Pueblo Bonito properties, with so many wonderful restaurants and gorgeous pools, we never felt the need to leave the resort. We ordered room service for breakfast every day and it was always delivered quickly and with a helpful attitude. We called for golf cart service to travel across the resort and the drivers were very prompt and courteous. We were there Monday through Friday so I can't speak to the weekend crowds but we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table at any restaurant. Bring plenty of tip money because you will surely want to show your gratitude to this wonderful staff.

Lots of hills! I couldn’t bring my parents here. Wouldn’t be great for elderly guests as they’re gonna need to take a golf cart everywhere. Food generally wasn’t great, specifically bad was the dinner buffet. A couple of friendly staff but big lineups at the market and slow service at the pool bar even though it wasn’t very busy. Got a big suite with a hot tub, no cover, lots of bugs in the tub, difficult entry/exit for the tub wouldn’t be good/safe for elderly folks. Light burnt out in the fridge. You can’t get picked up by an uber so you have to take the hotel van into town which is 3x the price of an uber. Golf course is unbelievable!

Very disappointed in our stay. No hot water in our suite showers on 2 occasions. We encountered 2 Broken elevators at the property. Our first room 2022 in the older part of the resort had a broken Hot tub. Paint bubbling and peeling off the ceiling in the bathrooms. Heavily Stained towels. In need of several repairs. Our next room We tried several dishes from room service they were all mediocre to not good. We found an open “staple “ yes staple in our carrot cake.

Overall the staff was not very friendly. The resort is beautiful but it takes a couple of days to find your way around. The only orientation you will get comes with a two and a half hour sales pitch to get you to buy a timeshare. We refused so had to find our own way around. There are no signs on the property to help you navigate your way around but we found the best way is to take the golf cart shuttles. Food was about average. Some good some bad. They advertise a private beach but it’s unusable. The surf is dangerous and there is no swimming or beach activities. There is absolutely no entertainment. Nothing to do but lay around the pool and drink. That got boring very quickly. Left the resort on two different days and still found it boring. We were in bed at 8:00 every night out of boredom.

The Pueblo bonito sunset was great. The rooms were clean, staff was amazing, very nice and helpful. The resort is very big, they have carts that pick you up if you would like. The food was great, drinks were soso. It is a time share resort, so you do get hounded to attend the time share meetings, but it isn’t overwhelming. Lots of pools to choose from, adult only, to young adults, to children. Could use more servers around the pool area, service was a bit slow. Watch out for the up charges in you bill, they do try to get you, and there is a charges for the owners non profit that they put on there also, but ask them to take off and they will. Over all, very nice. Would go back for another stay.

Honeymoon from hell.... broken shower, broken hot tub, room service never got our order correct, app did not function properly, and staff kept coming in amd out of the room so i got no sleep. Beds were hard and very small. Husband and i ended up sleeping in separate beds on our honeymoon because they were so small. Air conditioning did not work in the kitchen/dining room/den area but weather was nice so we survived. Buffet was not open on the weekends.

The amenities would have gotten higher marks except that our favorite pool (Pool 40 next to Tazuna) was closed, along with pool 26, both closed for the entire month of May. The Fun Lab was also closed but we didn't have any teens with us so that didn't bother us, but I would have been disappointed had I planned on using that.
On the plus side, we learned that we like Pool 17 and despite 2 of the pools being closed, Pool 17, the Main Pool and the SKy Pool were not overly crowded.
The staff were very attentive and wonderful. Shout out to the amazing server extraordinaire: Roberto! He was fantastic.
In general, staff would also have gotten higher marks if they had been trained on how to handle an extremely inebriated guest poolside. Instead, we watched a passed out guest on a lounge chair and on the ground wollow for hours as he dry heaved semi-consciously while staff figured out what to do. It was sad to watch his 3 children cry, his wife kick him trying to wake him up, and the general confusion about how to deal with it all by the staff. The wife refused medical help. It was a \"buzz Kill\" for us watching and I wish the staff could have removed him from the area much earlier. They did finally wheel him out. There should be staff proticol to deal with this sort of thing. We have been to this resort many times and never witnessed such an event.
Overall, the food was excellent and the drinks were cold.
Plus, the view can't be beat and rooms were quiet.

We booked a total of 4 suites to celebrate my bday but our request for suites closer to the beach were not considered. When checking in the check in clerk didn’t bother to even pretend that he was looking for options to our requests and told us right away that there was no availability, During our stay, we found out that the vacancy rate was over 20% and there was plenty of availability.

The suites we got on the top level of the hotel had issues with lack of hot water and the hallways look unkept.

We have been staying at this resort for over 20 years and never had this issue so it was an unpleasant surprise to be treated as if our requests were annoying and not important

Only complaint I have was there app has to be more user friendly you can’t really use until u r checked in. I could have made my reservations before hand and shuttle reservation.
We got suckered into buying a membership for Hyatt hotels when trying to get a taxi.
Last thing we ran out of shampoo 2 days before leaving and that wasn’t replaced.
Everything else was perfect.

Check-in was quick, smooth, and super welcoming, which set the tone right away. The real highlight, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with, from housekeeping to poolside service, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful.

I have been a visitor to the Pueblo chain of hotels for the past fifteen years. This past week I spent almost a week at sunset and I will never take away from the facility and grounds maintenance. However, I learned on this trip that what matters most to me is the friendly customer service that seems to have been lost . I have been a repeated visitor at the sister hotels for years having stayed at Pacifica, Rose and the past three visits at Sunset. Last week I was saddened to experience such a decline in the level of customer service. While the restaurants and amenities have always been exceptional it now feels as though Pueblo hotels have evolved into another average hotel chain. Waiting over an hour and a half for food, unacceptable ratio of customers to waiters, and feeling invisible to staff was my experience. I have always been a fan of the shuttle system always appreciating the variety of experiences among the sister hotels. It was so disappointing to walk in and out of the hotels and never even getting greeted once. I was shuttled to and from sunset to rose and it was quite sad to have never been acknowledged by anyone outside the hotel completely ignored and not even a smile. Such a striking difference I have seen in the past couple of years. The hotel transitioned into an app and I was unable to connect my two reservations under the same email. I was not able to log in and no one in the lobby would help me. It’s said to see this chain going downhill

We loved this resort so much! It was so beautiful, and the food was AMAZING!! Even though we couldn’t use the beach, we went to their other hotels and used their beach by the marina!! They have a free shuttle to take you there, and the food at the other resorts was so amazing too! We were always glad to come back to our resort after a long day at the beach! It’s so relaxing and the views are breathtaking! We were so sad to leave!

We did not have bathroom for after the Jacuzzi, the Jacuzzi functions were not all working.

The setting of the resort is wonderful, and the views are truly impressive. Check‑in was excellent, and most of the staff were great, especially the woman who checked us in. The food was very good overall, and my family really enjoyed the market. The pools were also very nice, and the kids loved the Fun Lab.

That’s the good. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that took away from the experience. Service at the pools was inconsistent. The hallways and common areas in the building we stayed in were not cleaned and looked dirty, which was surprising because our room was spotless and our housekeeper had a great attitude. The lobby and restaurants were also very clean, so the contrast was noticeable.

The biggest concern and the reason I’m not sure I would return, was something I witnessed at the Sky Pool bar. I saw the bartenders taking dirty glasses, giving them a quick rinse in a sink, and then reusing them for other guests. It was extremely off‑putting. Had I not seen that, I would definitely have come back, because the resort has so many great qualities. But that one issue really changed my overall impression.

Buildings very pretty; nice views and pools. Some hotel room buildings need repair, large gaps around doors and windows allow bugs, spiders and cockroaches in (we found in our hotel room). Intermittent service quality, room service occasionally took over 2 hours, and long lines for golf cart rides most of the day at busy areas. Friendly staff, good quality food for all inclusive. Overall good deal and value, but room quality and service were on par for the price. Probably will not return and stay at a more modern place in the future.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the kindest staff. Being a VIP member with Expedia got us a room upgrade and $105 room credit. Our upgrade was amazing! Down by the beach with a beautiful view. The resort was clean and meticulously maintained and cared for. We only experienced one pool but it was nice. The food at the restaurants onsite was really good. The Japanese restaurant was my favorite. The golf cart rides to and from were efficient. My husband did the golf. He said it was really nice. If planning on staying here, I’d recommend getting their app beforehand to reserve golf or spa or some of the finer dining that requires reservations. I unfortunately wasn’t able to get a spa day. Wish I woulda downloaded the app sooner. We had an amazing time and I highly recommend this place. Thanks for making our first trip to Cabo a wonderful experience.

The hotel room was about 100 years old. Has not been updated or renovated in what looks like centuries. Broken shower head, broken faucets, the water came out brown in the tap until flushed out. They “upgraded” us to a jacuzzi suite- but the jacuzzi was filled with moths and didn’t look like it had been cleaned or used for several months. The food was mediocre at best and the service was unbelievably slow. All in all, I was thankful that we only stayed for two nights and not an entire week.

HORRIBLE. Where do I even begin. First of all let’s start with the fact housekeeping robbed me. I had $60 cash on the first day and left in my bag in my wallet came back and the room was cleaned and the cash was emptied completely. Second when you check out there’s a bunch of hidden fees every time i get room service it’s says it’s free but apparently there is fees only disclosed on the end. Another terrible thing they don’t let ubers into the resort and it’s a 40 minute walk to the gate uphill so you either pay for an overpriced taxi by them around $35 to go 10 minutes and $140 to go to the airport OR you walk 40 minutes. I even ask the desk to get me a golf cart to the gate and they said it’ll $17. Mins you we paid 4k for this resort. So unhappy with the money I spent to be treated this poorly

They suggested upgrading our housing situation for no extra cost and they were so helpful! We all had a great time and the service, food, and drinks were amazing. Would recommend shuttling resort to resort they are both pretty

My husband and I ended up at this beautiful resort by accident when our flight caused us to miss the initiation of our cruise. This resort is beautiful, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the food choices( we chose all inclusive for 2 days) was tasteful. I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome resort, couldn't have picked a better place. Ocean view wast great, saw whales every day, excellent restaurants, amazing staff. Loved everything about it!
