Although this is an old hotel, everything was excellent.
It is in the most central location, a short walk from the train station, on the main square in town and in addition, the food is good and the staff is friendly.

The property is 350 years old and it shows, however bathrooms are up to date, the location is \"the best\", the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. The wine list is amazingly good and affordable.
It is a 10 minute walk from the train station; taxi's are hard to come by.

Old World Charm!

I don't know what I liked more -- having the cozy restaurant w excellent food and drink on the ground floor; or our hotel rooms, each decorated uniquely with antiques; or the staff (always helpful and cheerful); or the neighborhood (close to the train station, where you can get a coffee at the Starbucks that opens at 5 AM if you wake up too early for the Stad Munster's restaurant.

Hidden gem in eastern Holland

The team at Stad Munster have a great blend of professional, yet warm and helpful. I've stayed at this hotel over the last 25 years and the recent owners are a family who take pride in this small hotel. The location is perfect, the prices are really fair, and the restaurant is quite nice. I got the biggest and best breakfast, ever!

Location - Stay here when in Winterswijk!

What more could you ask for, a hotel with historical character right on the square.
Updated rooms keep the uniqueness of the hotel as does the library/business meeting room with fireplace. The bar, breakfast and dinner areas are all nice and and allow a quiet conversation.

Wonderful!

The Stad Munster is a wonderful place to stay if visiting this town. It overlooks the square which has a huge market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Lovely to shop and enjoy! The owners are beyond pleasant and accommodating. They take care of you like family. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay from check in to check out.

Nice hotel in a lovely area of the town. The shower fixtures need to be replaced. They kindly explain how to use them at check in ( so they know that guest struggle with them), but it never worked properly and the shower water ended up being luke warm. Overall...... this hotel was good value for money and in a great location.

Stayed for 1 night and found the hotel in a pleasent area of the town. Nice welcome from the front of desk when I arrived.Double room for single use was more than adequate and I enjoyed a quiet nights sleep.Had a good meal in the evening in the hotels restaurant,good selection on the menu and also a wide range of beers in the bar.Breakfast was continental buffet style with a good selection of meats and cheese.
Overall this was a nice stay at the hotel and I am considering a long weekend with my wife later in the year at the Stad Munster.

Hampshire Hotel Stad Munster - Winterswyk

First time at this hotel and it was pleasant. Loved the free Internet service. A little disappointed with the toiletries. Did not get to enjoy any of the on site dining so can not comment. Staff was very nice and location in center of town was perfect.

I would recommend this hotel to travelers to Winterswyk and more importantly I would happily stay there again on a future trip.

Für einen Kurztrip total OK.

Die Lage des Hotels ist top. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Hinter dem Haus fiel schon beim Parken eine gewisse Unordnung auf. Im Eingangsbereich roch es extrem nach Frittiertem. Allerdings nicht sonderlich lecker. Der Mitarbeiter war aber sehr freundlich. Auf dem Weg zum Zimmer im ersten Stock müffelte der Flur dann nach Abfluss und Klostein. Im Zimmer war dann die Luft allerdings \"rein\".
Zimmerausstattung war OK. Kein Kleiderschrank. Den brauche ich aber für eine Nacht nicht.
Die Duschstange hing nur noch am seidenen Faden.
Frühstück war trotz Aufbackbrötchen sehr gut.

Bij de freule Van Dort in Steengroeve theater

Altijd fijn om hier te logeren als onderdeel van het Steengroeve theater weekend. Een gemoedelijk familiehotel in het hartje van de stad. Dit keer sliep ik in een zeer mooie, ruime kamer. Lekker ontbijt. Na afloop van de voorstelling was terras nog open.

Hotel ligt centraal op loopafstand van winkels en restaurants pluspunt. Minpunten: De kamer die we hadden was heel donker en er hing een bedompte lucht. Personeel niet erg behulpzaam of gastvrij, ontbijt echt geen 14 euro waard. Kortom; ik zou een ander hotel in Winterswijk kiezen, keuze genoeg!

Prima hotel ! Middenin Winterswijk

Hotel ligt aan de markt van Winterswijk middenin in het centrum. Het restaurant / ontbijtzaal schitterend opgeknapt.
Het is een prachtig pand en geloof dat de nieuwe eigenaar het ook naar waarde aan gaat pakken. De hotelkamers zijn gedateerd, vandaar kregen wij een upgrade naar de bruidssuite met balkon op de markt. Je gaat inderdaad een paar decennia terug in de tijd! 😜
Maar de kamer was schoon, de bedden sliepen heerlijk en de douche had een goede straal en was warm.
Wakker worden met de opbouw van de markt ze klokkwn van de kerk was zeer aangenaam, had iets gezelligs.
Ontbijt was meer dan prima.
Al met al prima te doen. Ben benieuwd hoe de kamers er na de verbouwing uit komen te zien!

Beneden in de bar en de ontbijtzaal is netjes gerenoveerd. Het ontbijt was ook goed. We hadden twee luxe kamers geboekt. Deze kamers zijn ruim maar zeer gedateerd. Grote bruine lekkage vlekken in de badkamer, roest in het bad. Vieze smoezelige fauteuils etc.
Locstie is top.
