This is a great resort! The staff was absolutely amazing. There was a large variety of food on the menu and it is reasonably priced. The ocean views are stunning! If you’re looking for peace and quite this is your resort. It’s remote and not a lot around - which is what we wanted and that is what we got! The pools are lovely as well. The maintain the property and landscaping to perfection. The only negative is to be aware there are two mosques close by with loud speakers going off at 0500am and again in the evening. Not the resorts fault , it’s a just a “be aware” thing. The owner has the property decorated so beautifully- appreciate all the small touches! Great stay!

Sitting poolside near the ocean eating lunch was pure heaven. The employees wanted to make your experience relaxing. The bathrooms were unique with the open ceiling above the shower. The mosquitos are everywhere in Bali, use the mosquito net above the bed. Love this place !

This is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place. The hotel and restaurant staff were helpful and accommodating. We stayed here for three days after spending time in Uluwatu, Ubud, and hiking Mt Batur and it was just what we needed. We sat by the pools, walked the beach, got massages, and went into town for lunch each day. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, each room has its own hammock. Highly recommend!

Beautiful resort right on the beach with gorgeous gardens. We stayed in a duplex villa which had a stunning Balinese bedroom and bathroom with pitched wooden ceiling. The food was delicious with many options including lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes. One highlight was eating in the tepanyaki restaurant at the chefs table and watching our food being cooked. All the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Pool area and spa also fantastic. I can’t fault this amazing hotel!

What a Wonderful Place

As a single traveller, I can honestly say that this was one of the most welcoming and beatiful places i have ever stayed. Every single member of the staff made me feel so welcomed and went out of their way and included me . I have had the honour of being included in and witnessing cultural events and everyday life
it has been a wonderful snapshot of the kindness of people in Bali.
I was so sad to leave and it is certainly a place i can imagine returning to.

Best accommodation in West Bali

This was our third visit to Puri Dajuma and it was exceptional again. We stayed in Soka A with stunning views over the infinity pool. With the pool right outside our villa is was lovely to have a swim and retreat to our verandah. They accommodate vegans extremely well with many delicious choices. The gardens are beautifully maintained, many photo opportunities. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Puri Dajuma is incredible from the point of booking to the end of the stay.

My first time in Bali. Not sure where to stay and had seen tons of reviews about Bali in general.

We wanted some serious rest and relaxation and I was drawn to choosing Puri Dajuma. A little nervous as the description had shown “3 hours” drive from the airport. After 20 hours of flying, we had to mentally prepare for that.

We booked Puri Dajuma and communication was a breeze via WhatsApp. Arranged a driver upon flight arrival and that went perfect. The driver was waiting for us and ready to roll. The drive was in fact 3 hours and it was raining. Perfect.

Upon arrival at the hotel at approximately 8pm, we were met by staff at the car, brought in quickly, checked in and escorted to our villa. It was dark and I couldn’t see a thing. We ordered room service, ate and passed out. When we woke up in the morning to see where we were, we were amazed.

The 2-story villa was incredible, the ocean views amazing, the pool was about 10 feet from the villa was also amazing with an ocean view.

The food was incredible and cocktails also. Incredible exposure to culture included.

The most amazing part about this trip is the staff. This may be the best place I’ve EVER been to in respects to hospitality. We visited 3 resorts in 3 cities to experience different parts of Bali during our stay. This was our best for R&R.

I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We made a 1 night stop at this hotel on our road trip from Denpasar to Mount Ijen on Java.

Very nice hotel. The food (local and international cuisine) was of excellent quality, compared to similar hotels in Indonesia.

Tranquil hotel but offer some nice entertainment like surf boards or tours

A very nice place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay here. We extended our stay to a total of 7 nights, which was good if you like lazing around, walking on the beach and hanging by the pools. My husband was able to surf the right break which was about a 5-10 min walk up the beach for a few days, then the swell decreased and there was not much to do after that. The staff was very obliging with driving us into town to shop (Pekututan) or to Medewi beach to surf or hang out. The facility is gorgeous and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Overall the service was fantastic, some days better then others, depending on how many guests were there. We had 2 different rooms while staying here, the first was one of the cottages that was very comfortable although the bed was a bit bouncy, our second room was one of the villas which was rather magical! No bouncy bed! You could hear the roosters in the village behind starting up at 4:30am however, earplugs worked well and were provided!! The food was very good for dinners, very spicy and flavorful and a good variety. The Balinese crepes for dessert rocked!! I would recommend this resort.

Ultimate relaxation, away from the crowds

Puri Dajuma is a beautiful place. The gardens are particularly stunning. All rooms are steps from the beach, which stretches for miles in both directions. Besides local fisherman and a few others and the other tourists from the resort, you won’t see many other people. It’s the ultimate getaway in Bali, for the time being until it gets more popular. For now, it’s the opposite of busy Canggu! We loved how quiet it was.

As for the resort, they take great care to make your stay as comfortable and special as possible. Everything is clean, stylish and well looked after. The staff are friendly and professional, meals are pretty good and the overall impression is that we highly recommend a visit.

Wonderful west Bali retreat.

We loved our stay at Puri Dajuma. We just enjoyed being in our cottage, watching the waves and swimming in the pristine pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. We had a complementary cooking class and found it fun and informative. The buildings are all beautifully crafted and this added to our enjoyment. Yes, we’d love to stay again.

Beyond amazing!!!

Came to Puri Dajuma with my daughter and granddaughter. Did not know what to expect as we have never been to Bali. We were all completely speechless with the beauty of the hotel and location. Hotel is not in a tourist area and very much tucked away where you can experience real Balinese life. Hotel shuttle available to take you anywhere you want. We went into Negara and the driver took us into the traditional market and helped us navigate and purchase foods and goods (money very different from USD). The staff also arranged for my daughter to have Jaja Bali (traditional rice cake dessert) after our last dinner there. Very cozy atmosphere and the staff is completely attentive to every detail. All staff genuinely care about how your stay is going and will do everything for your comfort. The absolute top of the cake came when I forgot something in my room after we left. The hotel arranged for my items to be delivered to our next hotel!!! This was amazing as the hotel is quite far out and I know of no other hotel that would have arranged for this with no charge. The room was also amazing- we were given an upgrade to the two story villa which my granddaughter was blown away with - even had hot plate, pans to cook with, and all utensils needed to have full meals from fish that villagers caught!. Surfing in nearby Medewi... the area is rustic and we loved the geckos and wildlife .... any area like this will allow you to enjoy the natural setting!!! Beyond beautiful!!

Best eco friendly resort I've visited

What I loved the most was the Eco part of the resort. The owners have done and keep doing their best to keep trash out and focus on running their business with sustainability in mind. This is an extremely important decision factor for me and I wasn't disappointed. Reusable bamboo straws, cloth napkins, ceramic soap pots with locally produced soap and a water refill station were the things that I was most happy about. Puri Dajuma really shows that running a hotel business doesn't have to require disposable products and tons of waste and emissions. All this without compromizing high standards that make a stay at the resort relaxing and enjoyable

We stayed there for a short week. Very nice facilities and staff. Quiet and peaceful, not crowded, no other hotels in the area. Fairly long commute from the airport, but it is well worth it if you want to see real Bali, and enjoy it without feeling that you are in the middle of tourist attractions of Kuta.

Gorgeous grounds, views to beach, lovely pools!

We rented the one bedroom villa, which I highly recommend. The living area has two roll-up doors to provide a very nice open feeling and looks out over a long heart-shaped pool with water slide down into another pool. The second floor has a bedroom with even more beautiful resort/beach views and also A/C which may be locked off from the ground level. There are bathrooms on both levels. The restaurant has clean water on tap and you can refill as much as you like without having to go into town to purchase your water. The beach is footsteps away and the resort provides a free shuttle whenever you want into Medewi if you are an experienced surfer and would like to ride those waves. The resort provides boogie boards and also has a full service spa. They can set up private tours of pretty much anything in Bali too. The staff are very accommodating. Breakfast is included and their crepes are amazing!! We really enjoyed our time at Puri Dajuma.

The perfect retreat!

This was the perfect resort experience! We couldn't fault a single thing. The surroundings were peaceful, beautiful and relaxing and the staff were amazingly kind, helpful and accommodating of every want and need. The food was great, with choices to suit all palates and the spa facilities were excellent. We had a long way to go to see much of what the West has to offer but you get to see the \"real\" Bali, not just the tourist version. The only downside was noisy motorbikes on the beach at night at low tide, which the resort can't do much about, and it's only a problem if you want to sit out at night with a drink. It's not very tranquil! We loved the place though, especially the commitment to staff by management, and we plan to go back.

This is our 4th visit to Bali. We recommend driving the 2 hours from airport to west Bali that experience the tranquility. West Bali has yet to be commercialised. Resort close to attractions beach surf and very peaceful. Food well priced and very high end. New villas look amazing. We will visit again.

We had no idea what to expect - after seminyak prices for a room by the beach we thought not much - how wrong we were ! Beautiful single sort thatched room with private balcony - beautiful clean pool - very quiet - great restuarant even a reasonable wine list and a teppanyaki bar . Lucky because there isn't much else there Dave surf and long clean black sandy beaches. Memorable. Thankyou !

Our daughter treated us to this hotel on our recent visit to Bali and it was perfect. So quiet and relaxing and very friendly and efficient staff. Perfect location, we walked for 2 hours along the beach every day and it was as if it was our own private beach. The gardens and the environment were very special. The cottage had superb sea and garden views and we loved the outdoor bathroom. Breakfasts were first class and the dinner menu in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonable. Will definitely return.

We had an excellent 5 days at the Puri Dajuma Cottages. The rooms, garden, pool and beach are lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had plenty of choice, Indonesian and Western meals. The area is very quiet so this is just the place to come and get away from it all. The hotel also offers day trips, most of the tourist sights are a fair drive, and spa facilities (We'd definitely recommend the 'Gazebo Massage' for an hours luxurious relaxation)

Relax in comfort

Rooms large with large indoor bathroom, utility area, plus outside showers. Very clean.
Pool fine. Beach not very pleasant for swimming - only saw one or two tourists swimming in four days. Pool fine. Alot of rubbish on the beach due to the proximity of creek nearby.
About a 35 minutes walk to nearest little local town. No local tourist activities, except surfing, which is well served and not subject to harrassment by hawkers.
Resort set in, alongside traditional village and plantations. Interesting and people very welcoming.
Restaurant sells standard fare only and is very reasonably price.
Good / excellent place to go if you have little children who are happy in the pool (has toddler pool - unfenced) and want to literally lie under a palm tree and do nothing but read a book and go for the occasional wander along the beach looking at crabs, spiders, lizards, snails etc. Food prices are inc of service and tax, whichi is very good (as this is 21% more at other resorts). You can eat and have a couple of beers for $20 USD per day easily per person.
Great cultural evening at great place.
The staff are wonderful. No TVs in rooms, but tv room with excellent range of videos , free wi-fi and internet access.
They also have daily activities that they organise for you (trips to tourist attractions etc) which we didnt do, but are vrey good. spa good.
Traffic is Bali is very bad, so getting small distances takes a long time (70 mins to go 45k) so leaving the resort can be long winded and may not thrill little kids.
Overall, this resort is very, very good value for money, and its remoteness is as much a blessing or distraction. If you want bars and nightlife, restaurants then no, but if you want a quiet break, dont mind eating burgers and chips, fried rice and gado godo all week, then you will love it.
PS> Free shuttle to surf beach and back whenever you want. Great! (only 2 k)

Skønt og afslappende 8 dages ophold. Al personale var super søde og hjælpsomme. Maden var super god. At få vasket tøj var lidt dyrt, men dejligt at muligheden eksisterer. Der er ikke så meget at se i lokalområdet, men hotellet tilbyder forskellige ture og aktiviteter.

beautiful non tourist area with black beach!

booked the resort due vibe and on the beach location. was not disappointed with location, super nice and relaxed. hotel is a good 3hours drive from airport(bali traffic is terrible) but once there its worth it. we got upgraded to a villa on the upper part. if possible thats where i want tobatay again . super nice area with an infinity pool and lots of greenery. hotel has good terms for workers with healthcare so feels like a decent place! I would stay again for sure..in the villa. its a bit far from shops etc butbtjey lend u a scooter or drive to the nearby village for some supermaket shopping if u want. no tourist infra or beachpeddllers around. the closest neighbour is a fishing village that u can see everyday working their boats. 1 advice, bring ur mosquito repellent as the bali mosquito are fierce :)

Lovely relaxing secluded place

If you’re into partying this is not the place to go. But if you want a relaxing family or couples vacation this is the place. Beautiful garden, clean rooms, great pool area and great food. We stayed for 7 says and the whole family was very satisfied with our stay.
