Nice room and bathroom. The palm roof looks great but doesn't filter any noise from the busy road, and provides ways for mosquitoes to get in.
The pool water was not very clear,
Breakfast was very basic.
Still good value for the price.

The Villa San Juan was a vey quaint and quiet B&B. The room was clean and comfortable and the king size bed was “dreamy”. The two women who hosted us were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very ample and prepared us well for our day’s journey.

This was a hidden gem. Only a short walk or even shorter Uber to Paradise Mall or the public beach this hotal was clean, comfortable and felt very safe. The staff were friendly and breakfast each morning was yummy! We would stay again and recommend to friends.

The two ladies that run Villa San Juan are very kind, the villa itself is beautiful, the rooms seem to have recently been upgraded and are designed with great taste. The pool seems bigger in the pictures than it actually was, but still a perfect size to cool off in.
Immediately when you walk inside the property the aroma of floral scents welcomes you.
A previous guest opened the door for a very sweet and well behaved stray cat and fed it a few times. We took over and bought 3 bags of cat food, which the owners promised to keep giving it to the cat after we left. They could have easily not tolerated the cat at the property, but they did, which means a lot to us.
The breakfast has enough options to make it a great breakfast.
The only negative I’d say is that the road next to the villa gets a little busy with traffic, but only in the morning for a few hours. We had the villa closest to the road, so maybe the other rooms don’t experience it as much. Other than that, it’s in a great location, close to some wonderful restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the beach.

The coffee wasnt great, but im a bjt picky. theres a couple good coffee spots nearby. would definitely stay again.

We stayed for only 2 nights just after Christmas. The staff was friendly. The room was basic. The breakfast was basic but still good. Toast, fruit, coffee, yogurt, juice, cereal, and the highlight - waffles cooked to order. The property was quiet. The pool is fairly small but seemed clean. Easy walk to several goid restaurants. Bit of a long walk to the public beach so we drove. Im sure some others might be fine with the walk but we preferred the ease of the drive. We would stay here again.

We have stayed here before, and it's a lovely little oasis in the middle of busy Nuevo Vallarta, but it seems to have fallen on tough times.

Overall, the property was a bit grungy. The pool was dirty (but not in a way you'd notice until you're in it). It was understaffed, with only one poor woman trying to do everything (to her credit, she did it all with grace and a smile). They temporarily lost the ability to take debit cards, which was a problem since the nearest ATM is a mile away. Our ceiling fan squeaked loudly. The headboard was loose and hit the wall every time we rolled over.

All that said, it's really a cute place, and with a.little attention it could be perfect again.

Villa San Juan was an absolutely beautiful property that I stayed at with my dogs on our recent trip back to the U.S. The rooms & grounds were beautiful and the staff was very kind and accommodating. It ended up being an excellent location for us because we were going back and forth between Puerto Vallarta and the Bucerias area so we were right in the middle. It was extremely quiet and relaxing and I appreciated the flat walkable park-like neighborhood surrounding area to easily and quickly take the dogs out. I very much appreciate the beautiful design which was really upscale and classy for the price point. Morning coffee & breakfast is delicious and they will make you waffles if you like with several healthy choices of yogurt and tropical fruit, toast, etc. It was a wonderfully calm introduction to Riviera Nayarit and as we have business going over that way now, we hope to be back! Muchas gracias for the hospitality!

Found a cockroach in the front entrance, an iguana on the stairs, the shower ran out of water 3 times while i was showering. The a/c is ok but if you want a cold room you wont get it. Breakfast has waffle and fruit which is ok but if you want something to keep you going for the day you’ll need to buy outside anyways. If you’re tall you won’t fit in the bed very well. Its way too far from anything to do so you’ll need to uber all the time. It’s a cute looking place from a certain angle, but thats it. There’s waaaay too many cons and not enough pros. Its fine for one night maybe.

There’s a reason it doesn’t have a no refund policy. Once you get there, you wont want to stay. I asked if I could check out after the first night and before 11am and they said I could but wouldn’t get my money back, makes sense why. I contacted Expedia and they tried to talk to the hotel and they havent been able to contact them at all. I ultimately left that day to a WAYY better hotel for $20 a night more. Today is Monday and Expedia was never able to contact them so, no refund.

The street name listed on Hotels.com is incorrect (it should be Avenida Framboyanes, not Flamboyanes).
The room could have used a few hooks or a hat rack. There were only three hangers in the closet and one towel rack for the two robes, two bath towels and two pool towels. No bath mat was provided. With no daily housekeeping, you must ask for clean towels. They were provided graciously.
The barn door to the bathroom was heavy and the rollers could have used some grease. Plumbing noise, traffic and the neighbour's dog were also heard at night.
The pool had debris (leaves and dead bugs) in it. Outside seating for breakfast was limited.
Whenever we asked for something (water for the room, towels, or a taxi to come for us (with the staff negotiating the price beforehand)), our requests were satisfied.

It was all pretty alright until when leaving the lady of the place accused me of breaking some weird vase they had glued to the table. I had gone to use the other bathroom because my toilet was backed up (so was another one in the pool restroom). When i came outside again she was standing in my room door beckoning me back in. She then should me the vase that was broken at the base. I ignored her after inspecting it, then took my breakfast. As prepared to leave the kitchen, she motioned toward the room explaining i needed to do something about it. I look at her and her husband, laughed, said no, and walked out. Good thing i paid in cash.

In short, highly dishonest.

I also recommend larger signs indicating not to flush toilet paper. The only indication was a small sign on the bottom side of the toilet lid.

I won't likely use Orbitz again either
