Loved this property the staff are exceptional. The two brother in laws who are on during the day at bar and breakfast a massive thank you for alway going out of your way. You guys made our trip even more memorable. Staff at reception amazing customer service. Breakfast every morning was always fresh and prepared beautifully. Egg station was my favourite. Had a mix of options and was changed up a little at times. The only negative for us was they only give one card for the room. Understand this is to help the environment and to save power by not leaving air conditioning on all day but can be a bit of an inconvenience. Location I think is perfect easy to get to shops by walking down the beach and exiting through one of the hotels further up,

My family and I stayed at Chaba Cabana beach resort for 15 nights,
We had 2x Ground floor rooms and 1x family room with 8 guest in total staying!

The rooms were clean, and had all the necessary items however; i think the rooms would benefit from sheer curtains to create privacy but still allow light into the room, and solid doors to block out the noise from the rooms next door.

Staff were Amazing! S from the Bar and Restaurant area was our favourite and he always went above and Beyond for us, he made us feel right at home.

Kitchen, house keeping and maintenance staff always greeted with smiles and a warm hello.

My toddler loved being able to play on the kids play equipment and swim between the pool and the ocean. It was such a fantastic location, far enough to be quiet but close enough that you could walk or catch a Taxi/bus too the main strip.

Resturant food is great and extremely tasty and the cocktails are wonderful!

We are looking forward to returning again next year!

The staff at the resort is very friendly and helpful taking initiative about an early check out, booking a ride to the airport and even providing a takeaway breakfast without asking for one. 20-30 minute walk to downtown Chaweng or they offer a free shuttle twice a day. A very comfortable stay! Buffet breakfast was good too - lots of american style food

Chaba Cabana is my favorite place to stay in Koh Samui. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The facilities are fresh and well appointed. The grounds are a meticulously groomed slice of paradise situated perfectly for an easy walk to the center of Chaweng Beach. The staff and amenities are top notch. Food, drinks, and accommodations rival some of the best rated in Koh Samui.

This is not a 4 Star property.
Breakfast is average, the pool is small and old, when we asked for a second key for the room so we could come and go independently we were told this was not possible. You need a key to keep the lights and AC on so if one of us was out late the other could not sleep as they would either have no Power or would have to wake up to let the other in!

Beautiful staff, they really make your stay delightful. The location is a little too far from the centre of town, only certain times you can walk on the beach otherwise you walk in the side of the busy road, can be a bit annoying. Food was great but beds extremely uncomfortable.

Good resort on the beach. Staff always friendly. Rooms clean. Under going building works at time of stay. Didn’t effect my enjoyment while at pool etc. Would only say that the builders could have improved on the general cleanliness around the area, especially the walk way we used to access brekkie and pool. Complimentary bus to sister hotel in centre only operated a couple times a day, for a 4 star hotel would be good for a more frequent bus to take you into Town.

Beautifully designed hotel. Beach location far enough away from the noisy, partying part of the beach strip. Wonderful staff, all friendly and professional. Beds, like the majority of Asian hotel beds, very uncomfortable. Very hard. Hotel should upgrade all beds to beds that westerners are use to at home. This would make the hotel stand out and be more acceptable to guests —- only criticism but important.

Older facility. Door to room had 1/2 inch gap but didn’t see any bugs. WiFi so bad we had to go to eat elsewhere to download. Had noisy neighbors which management was aware of drunken schoolboys staying up all night. They did nothing to resolve after many other guests complained over multiple nights. One night they wouldn’t even answer front desk phone when called for 2nd offense at 3am and 3rd offense at 4:30 am.

We love this resort, it’s far enough North that you aren’t in the middle of Chaweng but close enough that you can walk beachside to all the restaurants on the main strip. The villas are great near the pool but we really struggled with wifi- It just isn’t up to a standard that we’ve come to expect at a resort. That being said we’ll still stay there again!
We’d like to give a special mention to the staff member Jampen who has an infectious smile and an amazing work ethic and always makes our holidays great!

A fantastic place to stay!

Chana Cabana was a fantastic place to stay. It is on the quiet end of town, but there were tons of great places to eat nearby. The hotel breakfasts were really delicious...lots of options to chose...they even had an omelette station.
The hotel has a great pool and you could also go swimming in the sea...which was so refreshing...no rocks or coral...an easy access from the hotel...just about 5 steps away from the pool.
The hotel staff was so friendly...they could not do enough for us! I highly recommend this hotel.

Favourite pool villa in Samui

If you’re looking for a pool villa that isn’t shut off from the resort this is perfect!!! It’s like a sectioned off area at the main pool that only you and 1 other pool villa use - somewhat like a VIP section at a club.
The staff are great, the resort is great, the food is good and we will be staying there again 100% we loved it!

Great hotel on the beach

Chaba Cabana is right on the beach. You can wade out 300m and only be shin-deep in water.

The staff were friendly, and I got an upgraded suite. It had a sitting area and massive bed, plus 2 washrooms.

Breakfast was quite diverse;. Bacon, pancakes, french toast, sausages, and made-to-order omelette. There were lots of cereal and pastries as well.

It is at the northern end of Chaweng, but you can walk along the beach or catch a pickup truck ride into town.

WiFi was great; no issues with reception at all.

Hotel pool has been closed for months but this is not on the website! The cleaning of the room was hit and miss with food and dishes left in the room for days. Breakfast was mediocre. Supposedly 4 dishes of fruit to choose from but most were empty and no more brought when requested. There was a very poor selection of hot food, basically eggs and bacon. There was cereal and toast but as I cant eat gluten, not much for me. Overall an extremely disappointing stay as I was looking forward to the lovely pool and nice buffet breakfast I had been told to expect. I will not return!

Chaba is a great location on chaweng beach- the most popular beach in samui known for its beach parties and ladyboy shows. Chaba was at the far end so we were far enough away from the action but It was great to walk down the beach to access the many beachfront bars and eateries each with their own vibe and decor and access to shopping and city life. I preferred lemai beach for swimming though as chaweng is not deep and can be hot like a bathtub We would stay again!

You need to walk a few minutes on Chaweng Beach in order to lay out on the beach. It’s also about a 5-10 minute ride into the city center where all of the stores and restaurants are located.

My boyfriend and I loved this place. The staff were so friendly. Located north of the beach which was the quieter part, the gardens are so well maintained and beautiful; we stayed in rm #300 and had a pool right outside our door which no one used cause they were all swimming in the main pool which had a swim up bar and no shade. I love my swimming in pools but need a bit of shade to escape to. The room was a great size. Very low bed. Big shower. Chaba Cab is Just a short stroll along the beach and you were in the heart of it all. Walking along the beach to choose any of the restaurants which are set up on beach with all the resorts side by side facing the ocean that you could walk through any one of them to appreciate their surroundings and their beautiful gardens to get to the main road to shop. chaba Cabana has an amazing view of the ocean. Amazing view every morning to enjoy the buffet breakfast. All amenities were clean.

The room was exactly as advertised. Fairly large and decent size bathroom. Everything was well cleaned and looked after. No sign of any dust in the rooms either. Very comfy beds and pillows.
The addition of a balcony is a big plus for the rooms on 1st or second floor. All rooms within 30 second walk to the beach.
Excellent breakfast that was included in package for every morning. wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, juices, full english with eggs made to order!
Cant rave enough about the staff as they bend over backwards to do anything you need them to. Location is excellent as it on the beach but on the quieter part. Yet only 10 mins walk on the actual beach to the busier bars. The restaurant at the hotel is extremely well priced and the quality of food is amazing. I know people do enjoying eating out but I found the at this hotel to be way better than many other restaurants.
Finally, thank you to all staff for making my short stay unforgettable.

We stayed here for 12 nights in August, 2017. First time in Koh Samui, the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had everything you needed. The location was fabulous, it is at the quieter end of Chaweng beach which was lovely. Chaweng night life is a 5 minute ride or a good 15 min walk along the beach. We stayed in a deluxe villa room which was in a fantastic spot with the beach being approx 20 steps away. The room was clean and tidy, however the bathrooms were a bit old but it was fine. Towels and bedding were spotless. Restaurant and bar prices were expensive in comparison with the bars on the beach which were 2 mins away. The hotel should offer discounts on food and beverage as they also charge 17% service charge to the bill. They do offer \"Happy Hour\" daily with a small discount off. This is just my opinion, it didn't matter to much to us but if your a family with children then it could become quite costly in comparison to eating/drinking outside of the hotel. I will definitely be back.

Perfect. The views at breakfasts are just incredible and it is only a 10 minute walk along a beautiful beach to get to town. There are restaurants on the beach just 50 metres away that are fantastic too. I have read reviews on here that the staff are rude, this is not the case. They are not rude, but some of them can be quite shy. I guess people might construe this as being RUDE. (I know people in hospitality shouldn't be shy, however, it would be quite intimidating dealing with people from all over the world who speak different languages.)

The rooms are ok. But you are in Thailand, your room is just for sleeping!!

Further note, a VERY kid friendly hotel. Be prepared for screaming and lazy parents !!

Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. Bed given for third adult in a room was ridiculous, a child couldn't even sleep there. Place was old and not looked after. Staff were not friendly or accommodating. We packed up after one night and found another hotel, lost our money but could not have stayed another night there. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL.

We found the Chaba Cabana a pleasant stay. Hotel is located right on the beach and not far from the action in Chaweng. Whilst the rooms are a little dated they are clean and comfortable. Hotel Restaurant and pool area is very good and staff very helpful.

Average Hotel at an Average Price

We were firstly disappointed at the lack of communication, I made an error at the time of booking however to rectify this took hours on the phone and had to call several offices to resolve, my error entirely and this had no prejudice on the overall experience but a note to others to be extremely careful at the time of booking.

We paid circa $130 per night and was disappointed to find that it was less than $100 per night when we actually got to the hotel.

It was clean however rooms are dated and the decor around doesn't look like it's been updated since the 80s

Staff were friendly however simple things such as an iron / ironing board that we needed were not available!

The hotel advertises Free Wi-Fi however the connection was extremely poor and the last night it dropped out completely.

Breakfast was adequate an no complaints about the food.

Staff were friendly and for the most part helpful. After travelling with friends that were staying at nearby resorts, we will return to Koh Samui again but won't be staying at this hotel.

Gorgeous... amazing dinner at seafront restaurant

Loved this hotel!!! Perfect for what we needed, away from the crazy main drag of Chaweng beach but not too far on a moped to go over there... we had dinner and the hotel restaurant on the last night and it was our best meal over our entire trip over 3 weeks in Thailand. The most amazing seafood platter all fresh with beautiful buttered rice. The staff were so helpful.
The rooms were clean and beds comfy. Just a lovely resort and would definitely come back here!

The stay was the last week of November and supposedly low season, however other than 15 minutes of rain for the whole week the weather was great. Located right on the quieter end of Chaweng beach, only a 5-10 minute walk along the beach to all the bars & restaurants in shopping area.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating especially the girls working breakfast at the restaurant, the cleaning staff and reception.

The hotel is in a nice location. Rooms have all facilities and are very clean. We also booked a trip with the hotel which was great, they explained everything to us, it was spot on. Your are right on the beach too.
There is a free bus the hotel put on for people to go in to town, this does need updating as one of the benches are broken and I seen two people hurt themselfs when trying to enter the van due to the rusted out seat. But can fault anything else.

Clean hotel friendly staff a bit dated but has the rustic look. Rooms dont have any drawers just one wardrobe to hang clothes easy to get into centre of town ten minute walk or flag a taxi. Hotel right on the beach which is clean and safe. We would go again

I love Samui

This is the life in Samui

I was staying in one of those separate houses which is only a hundred metres from the pool and the beach. The pool is awesome and you can overlook the beach from the pool. They also got shuttle bus commuting the central area but not very frequent. Definitely going back again.

I stayed here for 5 days and thought the place was pretty nice. the outside of the resort was very maintained. I stayed on the bottom floor and was very happy with it. it felt very cottage like with lots of trees etc. I would step outside my door and walk not even a minute and the ocean and beach was right there. the pool was ok but I preferred the beach. The beds were very hard and definitely they need to invest in new matresses, however if you ask for a foam piece they will bring one and it makes a HUGE difference on the comfort of the beds. the food was decent. they had a great selection for the buffet breakfast which is included in the price. the staff are all SUPER friendly and very helpful with anything. They booked all of my excursions and answered any questions I had. I would stay here again for sure. other then the beds being hard and not always having hot water it was a great place.

Update needed !

We have just spent a very pleasant week at Chaba Cabana, however I have to say that it's really time that the hotel had a makeover. the bathrooms are very old and mouldy and the beds are rock hard. It would have been nice to see the swim up bar open and the pool bar stocked with the drinks we wanted. The location of the hotel is ideal, being north of the main area of the chaweng beach strip so it's nice and quite but within easy walking distance to all the lovely restaurants and bars.
Although we had a few concerns with the hotel, we enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money but really is a 3 star not a 4.

just beautiful

we had a great room it was large had a balcony plus a large window with an ocean view so when you book ask for room 237 as this is the only one with the view.the bathroom is not the best the shower needs replacing and the tiles need a good clean but the pool and bar are very nice and the breakfast room over looks the most beautiful beach .

Good location, showers not great, walls paper thin

Location and breakfast were great, that end of Chaweng beach is beautiful and the hotel is right on the beach. Food was really good and fair price. Room was near reception and was dark and felt a bit like a cave as you can't open the curtains without people seeing right into your room, shower was terrible.

Great place for a peaceful holiday

The location of this hotel is very good if you want to be close to the main town but not right in it. A short stroll down the beautiful sandy beach leads to the main town or its just a cheap taxi bus ride away. The hotel itself was quiet until one set of rowdy guests decided to party late into the night. The reception staff tried to intervene but not too successflly. It was the one blot on our holiday. The Thai people are polite and friendly and there are many places to eat and drink a short distance away on the beach as well as in the hotel itself.

Really good value when booked online Good quiet location on north end of Chaweng beach with a great beachfront setting. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Would recommend, a good standard at a good price and the overall experience is impressive.

Idyllic situation

Is in the very best position on the whole of Chaweng beach (and possibly, Koh Samui!). The setting is idyllic and the beach fantastic. Parts of the hotel are starting to look a little tired and the restaurant and evening entertainment were poorly supported compared to our prevoius visit seven years earlier. Pre-arranged transport from airport to Hotel failed to arrive until telephoned.

Cabana getaway

Cabana is well located, close to the main drag in Ko Samui. The hotel is situated right on the beach.
Unfortunately when the tide is in, there is no beach and those keen on getting a sun tan are confined to the pool area.
The restaurant at the resort is very expensive and guests tend to dine out at more reasonably priced places further along the beach.
Staff at the resort, especially at reception lack warmth and are not particularly well trained.
Rooms are spacious, TV package is poor, TV reception is not good. Breakfast is good. Pool area is spacious and comfortable. Getting a dry beach towel is problematic.

It was like goiing back in time to the 90's, very tired
