Staff were friendly, room was clean and well presented. Free soap, shower gel etc.

Only criticisms are the pillows, which seriously lack any support and the air conditioning, which really needs to be more powerful for the area its in during the summer months.

This hotel was not as good as its sister in Rouen, although the Rouen one is brand new. This one could with a bit of a refurb but is still excellent value and one of the better budget hotels available. Perfect for a stopover en route to the south.

We love it's position by a lovely lake and a convenient American diner next door. It's our 4th visit. Great for dogs. Good value for money. It needs an extra pillow each. (I now take my own.) and the heating wasn't giving as much heat as we'd have liked. It was - 3 degrees outside.

Chose the cheapest night I could book (sunday obviously) as I was on a road-trip to Spain.
I've invariably stayed on Ibis but to be honest I've been waiting for way too long for refurbishments on most of the hotels they provide, I find myself booking Mercuresss as I don't trust the usual Ibis any longer, let alone the Budget one.
No one paid me to write this, I just don’t have the time and patience so it’s rare. I’ve just been a bit stubborn and never contemplated other brands other than the Accors. Now; I had a quick check on this Sighor group web and I couldn't even find an English translation of it. Pure Frenchie then methinks... Well, good on them!
To the point at last: my room and the whole place felt new! Not even the tinniest dead insect :o) -and that’s free snacks in France! (ok, you can cut this bit)
So quiet (sunday though) and so so clean. Felt safe, van was safely parked, paper cups, small tissues on toilet (I know people hate them) which is actually a massive saving compared with rolls (just adapt people!) and then even a hair dryer! Go figure! All my delicates with no moisture at all!….
It totally confirmed the reviews I've read beforehand so here's a new customer to ‘yous’. Here goes the predictable then: Issoire’s Ace Hôtel is ace!!
p.s.: I should get a voucher for this or somethin' or nuffin’… (scrap this as well, he thinks he’s funny)

Quiet, clean, but no service

Quiet and clean.
However there is no add-on service. A simple vending machine would be great, especially With COVID restrictions where it is not possible to eat outside after 9pm. No coffee, no tea, no snack… nothing.

The property clearly ranks itself up alongside the Ibis chain, but someone seems to have forgotten to tell the miserable and rude girl who was working on reception for breakfast service. Her appalling attitude wouldn’t be acceptable at the lowest of low hotel chain, and we will not be returning to this hotel, or any of its chain hotels if this is the standard one can expect.

We like Ace Hotel Issoire and use as an overnight stay to Spain plus points are secure parking, well presented rooms, friendly reception staff and decent breakfast plus located adjacent to Motorway and shopping centre.

Perfect overnight stop

Arrived late at the hotel due to heavy traffic, I called the hotel from the road and was assured my room was ready and the reception was open. We arrived to a warm welcome and given a large clean room and a comfortable bed. Great breakfast and fast checkout in the morning set us up for our onward journey to the Costa Brava. Thank you Ace Hotel, I shall use your hotel chain again.

Recomend for overnight stopover

We have overnight stayed at this Ace Hotel several times between Spain and Calais.
This is a convenient location adjacent to Motorway and has good secure free parking plus close to a retail park for refueling etc.
Rooms are well presented and comfortable and free WiFi.
There is a decent continental breakfast offering competitively priced.
Staff are friendly and helpful which makes this a good overnight stopover.

Warm but no cold!

It was very warm and the air conditioning was not working. When we reported it the guy on the desk told us there was only heating. Strange, I was looking at a poster that quite clearly stated “air climatise!” Very difficult to open the window as we were on the ground floor.

Simple but nice

We stopped in the ACE hotel during our drive to Spain with our 5 year old Labrador. The staff were both helpful and friendly on our arrival. The hotel is situated near a good resturant and a fishing lake which was ideal to take our dog for a walk.

Very convenient overnight stay adjacent to Motorway between Germany Black Forest and Spain and first use of an Ace Hotel.
Very pleased friendly staff and large comfortable room very quiet for so close to Motorway.
There is a free secure car park locked off overnight.
The breakfast was good for class of hotel we felt good value with novel facility to boil own eggs we liked.
We are booked in for overnight on return to Calais

This hotel charges everyone, children including, for breakfast. So, if you expected a B&B, you will be disappointed. We had to pay about 20 Euros for 2 adults and 2 children breakfast, plus 65 for the room. Overall we found this was not at all a good value for money, as this is a very basic motel in the middle of nowhere. Also, being a large family, we somehow got the feeling that children are not welcome there. Staff could definitely be more friendly to us.

A great budget-friendly stopover en-route to Spain, the hotel was easy to find with a helpful & friendly receptionist. The room and en-suite bathroom were spacious and spotless and the continental breakfast was very good - plentiful with a good choice of items and at 6,50 euros a great price. There were several \"eateries\" nearby for evening meals and we chose the \"auberge\" for a traditional menu with local specialities and it was only a five-minute walk away. Carrefour petrol station was situated just off the exit from the motorway so it was great for filling up at non-motorway prices!

We always use the Ace en route to Spain. Friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfast is good. Pillows a bit lumpy, but that's a minor issue compared to the convenient location. The air conditioning works well and there is secure parking. There is also a great restaurant nearby, Auberge du Petit Mas, but it can get very busy, so book in advance.

We were very impressed with this hotel particularly as it was a budget hotel. The room was small but very clean and the en-suite facilities were good too.The staff were friendly and advised us about various places we could eat that were close by. The only down side was the fact that we were unable to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room. Next time we will take a travel kettle!

We have used this hotel for several years now and have been very satisfied on each occasion. We are a little bewildered with the pillows as they now are placed under the bottom sheet, with no pillowcase, so cannot be moved for comfort. A minor point, but did detract from the quality of sleep. Otherwise, as friendly and welcoming as always.

Bought simply as an overnight stop but turned out to be of a much higher standard and location than the price and appearance on the web suggested. Large room, air con, clean, great en-suite, easy drive into Issoire. Close to lake and open spaces. Issoire itself is fine for an overnight or even longer stop. Would definitely stop again - good value breakfast too.

We have a room designed for the disabled and find the services very good - - - except for the towel shelf attached to the wall above the toilet. It is too low and we hit our heads on it. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est très sympathique, les chambres sont propres, simples et efficaces. Il y a un parking privé qui est fermé la nuit. Petit déjeuner à 9.90 euros sucré/Salé avec les produits de base (viennoiseries, pain, oeufs, fromage, jambon, yaourts, céréales...)
L'hôtel est à proximité de la ville d'Issoire donc c'est très pratique.
Il y a une station service juste à côté pour ceux qui reprennent la route.
Nous reviendrons si nous sommes de passage à Issoire
