Thought it was too much $ for what kind of place it is. Probably a small step up from hotel 6 type of hotel.
No hand soap in bathroom. No body soap in container in shower. Tried to call front desk , no answer. Had to walk down to front desk. Not much to choose from for continental breakfast. Linens were clean but bed wasn’t all that comfortable.

I had requested an ADA room but was told they didn’t have one. I thought all hotels were supposed to have at least one room that was ADA. They did put us on the ground floor even though it was more costly because they only had “suites “. We walked into a regular room with a queen bed, fridge and microwave. lol nothing special. Man at the front desk was very polite and helpful.

Hot tub is outside.. weather is too cold, or I'd be using it. Occasionally people seem to be hanging out in the parking area. I've never felt that it wasn't safe. Definitely could use a larger pet area than the tiny green spot at the end of a parking row.
Everything else is thumbs up- nice sized room, very clean and very comfortable mattress. I've stayed here a few times and would do so again.

I was not super impressed with this location. The rooms were okay. I got a room on the top floor. Room 121. I paid more than I wanted to and this place does not have a pool or hot tub. I wished I got the other hotel. They did offer a grab and go breakfast.

Terrible service and bad integration with expedia's website. When searching for a pet friendly place, this hotel pops up but doesn't include and details beyond "pet friendly". So after driving for 9 hours and arriving at 2:30am, I call the service desk to make sure we can still check in and the lady there was very rude. After arriving, she was rude and ripped up all the papers and receipts for my check in after discovering the dog we had was more than 20lbs. I wouldn't have booked this place if I had known that was the condition of being pet friendly but again, when initially booking it wasn't shown anywhere.

Red Lyin Inn - bait and switch

Please to point out where in the booking site there is reference to up or downstairs. I cannot find it. If there is, a more obvious note should be displayed. A written request for downstairs and follow up call to confirm still resulted in additional cost.
After a 500 mile day we chose to pay. Front desk asked if we were unhappy about that. Hoping it was a rhetorical question our answer got our reservation cancelled and we were asked to leave the premises.
Please to note they cancelled my reservation, not me. Still waiting for a refund. Contacting credit card company soon to dispute the charges.

This property is run down. Disappointing especially for Red Lion trademark property. Although clean, the rooms paint was peeling and towels were frayed and tired. The room was not heated for arrival, so walked in to a 50 degree temperature.

The breakfast offered was some granola bars from Costco and Little Debbie muffins. The lobby is tired and not welcoming.

The property was listed as pet friendly, yet on Expedia there was no way to indicate the pet and what the pet fee was. Upon arrival we were informed our Expedia price could not be honored and the pet fee was $100 and nonrefundable. We ended up paying over $275 for one night at this VERY subpar property.

I booked a queen suite and I think I was put into a whatever? I had no balcony like it said it would online. I wasn’t even given a price for the room like I was told I would by the facility personnel. He said the manager had to go online to figure it out once she got home. I stayed up as long as possible to get that info and was told I would receive a call to my room, also didn’t happen. When I went to the office I was told that because I booked it online I couldn’t get a final price from Red Lion. The walls are super thin and the ceiling sounded like the occupants above were about to fall through the floor. The road noise is horrible and I could hear multiple tv’s going most all night. If you want sleep I do not recommend. I work for a very large local corporation and will not recommend anyone stay there. Also the continental breakfast I would rate below a 1 if possible. I will say the room was clean, so hats off to the maid service. My final rating would be 0 of 5

Modern motel in small town central Oregon

You could tell by some of the architectural details that this motel is old. But it is renovated and is fresh and new and modern. And very clean and quiet.
I especially appreciate multiple electrical outlets and USB ports in easily accessible spots in the room.
A/C was easy to use.
Mini-fridge was cold and ready to use and had a small freezer, so I could re-freeze the blue ice pack for my car cooler.
In the same parking lot as the motel there is a pizza restaurant and a Chevron with convenience store.

I selected the more expensive "pet friendly suite" vs other room options when booking with Expedia at the Red Lion Inn in La Pine, OR. It showed as available. But when checking in it was unavailable. The front desk agent offered a room where I could pay an additional $100 per dog (if under 10lbs)! What are they, the Ritz? I left with the agent saying I had to pay a penalty for cancelling. Uhm, no? You didn't have the room I reserved, that's on you. She continues to say I didn't understand and that likely the upcoming month they wouldn't accept pets at all anymore.
Here I thought Red Lions were pet friendly. But also, don't make the pet friendly suite as available on hotel sites, when they aren't. I had to book alternative accommodations.
Expedia came through and had the penalty waived.

Felt it was deceiving. Paid for the pet friendly room then once we checked in they added another $100 per night for a pet. We have family in the area so we took our dog there to save. When I informed the desk she said, “it’ll be $150 charge if we sneak our dog in.. “How rude”! As if. We actually are hospitality business owners and we’re very offended. At checkout the same person was rude, not a thank you or how was your stay.. nothing.

Customer service was awful. Rude at check-in and in the morning the woman burst into my room before I had checked out.
The shower was clean but otherwise didn't seem very clean. I had to get my own toilet paper from the car because a previous guest had gotten poo on the roll and it hadn't been replaced.
It was very noisy and uninviting. The price is about twice what this slum motel should be and I'm very upset about the $100 deposit. I don't know when I'm going to get that money back and she didn't tell me about it until it had already been charged. I will not stay here again, I would rather sleep in my car.

They are not service animal compliant. Charged my daughter an extra $200 dollars because her SERVICE dog went into the room while they were loading the car. Stains on the sheets(blood or fecal matter), fridge is unplugged so not cold. Not enough towels, pillows are absolutely terrible, the tv was 20-30 years old, the room had the worst smell ever, and the bath tub was so filthy I didn’t even take a shower. I never leave reviews but this place is a complete dump and the worst place I’ve ever stayed. For $140, it certainly was price gouging.

Awful hotel with the worst customer service!

We had the worst experience! I want a refund! The lady at the front desk wouldn’t let us check in until 4pm saying they were behind and we came back after 4pm. We were there for a couple hours when she called our room saying she had no idea we had our children with us and needed to change us extra! When I refused because we had late check in and our records say 2 adults and 2 children clearly, she screamed at me to leave and hung up the phone! I went to the office to speak with her she was so awful to me and kept screaming at me to get out and leave! I said fine I would like a refund and she said I would get 0 back! After her screaming and yelling that she wouldn’t give us anything she locked herself in the office so I couldn’t speak to her! I had to call the local police and when they arrived he told me they have been called because of her doing this to other people! She tried to tell the officers that I threatened her! We left and couldn’t get any other room for the night and had to sleep in our car! I also tried contacting you at hotels.com and never got a call back! I am truly disappointed in this company and this hotel and advise people to not use! Please just give us a refund. I have never had customer service this bad in my life!

Our family went there for a funeral and the owner charged each kid $15 each more a day and we had three kids We normally hotel kids are free and also we had an aunt that came in for one day and because there was no other hotels the owner took advantage of them and charge them $230 for one night when the room was worth $40 a night awful awful owners I recommend nobody stays there ever

At check in a 30 dollar additional fee was charged for my dog was not expressed on login with expedia and a 50 dollar deposit was also not. Booked a regular room for my husband our dog and me,when I got there they said that there was one room left but they needed to upgrade us to a double queen size room so I said OK but then they charged me $50 more also it was $40 for dog. Room was stinky and not very modern at all also the window would not lock and we were on the bottom floor. Thermostat must’ve been broken because no matter what we did it still put out lots of heat even sitting it off and was very uncomfortable, open the front window but had to deal with people right outside our door talking and smoking, traffic and a train several times going by just across the road. Got a very lousy night of sleep will never stop there again.

Stayed here because of it's proximity to an event my family was attending. Conveniently located off HWY 97, close to bend and La Pine. Also in a stretch of other businesses in an otherwise isolated area so there were food options and a store within walking distance. Nothing fancy and the walls are thin but not bad, clean and friendly, family run and hot coffee in the morning

Cheapest place if all you need is a place go sleep

I needed a place to sleep since I was working in fort rock for the week. If your like me and can live through bare minimum and dot mind a hotel that looks a bit older but still provides you with things you need (bed, shower, mini fridge, microwave) then this is the hotel for you. Wifi could be a bit better but then again i wasnt here long enough to enjoy the stay since i was out working. Definitely coming back again though. More bang for your buck.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The manager up front asks you to give a good review and they’ll give you a discount. The room was covered in ants. The bedding was stained. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. The bathroom was so bad we didn’t want to put any of our items down on the ground or counter. It was also an extremely expensive stay for one night- $165. It was horrible. I was very irritated the next morning because I felt like I had received a disease just by staying here. Unfortunately this place needs to be shut down

The dump deserves a 2.5 rating at best

The air conditioner only worked when you crawled under the bedside table and plugged and unplugged it in. All knobs were broken. The air blasted right on the bed. The ant traps under the bathroom sink was a nice touch. The toilet required two flushes to work. The shower was narrow and the water went to cold to hot in a flash. The decor as awful. The grounds were rundown. It was a tough night. I only chose this place because of the high rating. This needs to be adjusted. I do not wish a night like the one we had on anyone.

The room was very dirty with boots prints in the tub at check in. The mattress was lumpy and almost impossible to sleep in. The room smelled of musty smoke and had cockroach traps under the bed. The landlord paced several times outside our window back and forth late at night (after 11:00) replacing tv's, repairing heaters and fixing plumbing in the building. They also charged me a $20 per young child I had with me for one adult and three little kids in a room with two queen beds. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere if you have an option.

We Liked nothing! $90.00 for nothing! Only heat source was outdated Baseboard heater that barely worked! No coffee in room! Sheets were Stained! Outdated TV that did not work well! Old Bed and Bedding! No Soap (Had one very small bar of soap! No baseboards in room! No carpets! No phone book to find restaurants! Never go there again!!!!!

This is a nice hotel along the highway for overnight. Was what we needed for a stop halfway to home. Clean. The manager was a very nice man.
