The hotel is right at the heart of the city within walking distance of all the main sites with plenty of good food options including street food directly outside which was excellent. The views from the top floor terrace are amazing for sunrise and sunset views of Hagia Sophia and the ships on the Bosporus

We stayed in Agora life hotel for 5 nights and i will say it was a wonderful experience. The staff were ever so sweet and helpful when approached. The hotel is a 4 star hotel and not so extravagant but what i really appreciate the most is that everything you need was there like the smallest of things like cotton buds and slippers, which you probably woudnt get from other 4 star hotels. The hospitality from front staff to back office staff was so friendly. Breakfast could be better as it was the same cold breakfast everyday. Location was perfect as it was walking distance from most of the tourist sites and even more bonus, only 10 minutes away from the local tram! Thank you for making our stay wonderful Agora Life Hotel.

This is a great hotel for the price they charge. The free buffet breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are cleaned every day and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in GREAT location 5 minutes by foot to Sultanamet square and the tram. 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. Third time in Istanbul and this is my go to hotel. Very highly recommended.

We stayed in the Bosphorus suite, which quickly became a cherished, quiet and breezy sanctuary from the heat and noise of the city. We particularly enjoyed both our private little deck, and the rooftop observation deck, which provided stunning 360-degree views of the city. The hotel is excellently situated, within walking distance to all attractions, and the staff seemed sincerely eager to help out with whatever we might need.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is very tired and run down. The bathroom especially needs to be refinished. The furniture is scuffed and sad. Our electric outlets blew a fuse multiple times a day. A workman kept coming to fix it but the fix would only last a few minutes. The room had a beautiful view and a nice little outdoor terrace and is a good size.

Great stay but not 4 star. This hotel is perfect for someone staying in Istanbul for the first time as you are a few minutes walk away from the two main Mosques, the grand bazaar and other attractions. You are also close to the metro line to explore other areas of the city.

This is a great small hotel in the center of the old town. Everything is within a walking distance. View from the roof terrace is 5 stars. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with amazing views especially from the 4th floor location. We had a free upgrade from 3rd to 4th floor and a knife with plates when we asked for something to cut the watermelon that we bought on the way from airport to hotel.
However, hotel needs some upgrades and fixing. Specifically:
- Room's furniture needs renewal.
- Safety box had broken lock.
- Lift in the hotel is the slowest lift ever.
People working in the hotel are absolutely amazing. Front desk person Emre is speaking English very well. He gave us a city map and suggested very nice restaurants close by with great food and great prices. Omer was helping us with luggage and also told us about the city. Yasin was helping with any technical issues in room, he brought a working safety box when we complained about the broken one. I would give a hotel staff a 5-star rating.

I had a lovely stay here. The location is terrific! You can walk to all the sites in Old Town. The room was nice and I had a nice little balcony. One of the best parts was the AMAZING rooftop terrace. The view is just stunning!

It is a very short walk to the most important major places to see (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian/Spice Bazaar, several museums, etc). Easily walkable to restaurants & shops. Staff helped us take the train which was nearby. We also walked down & were able to hop on a boat to take a 1.5 hr tour on the Bosphorus.

I enjoyed my stay in this Hotel, the staff is very nice and accomodating, they answered all my questions and even provided me with a universal adapter which I did not have. The rooms are clean, and in a safe area, walking distance to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. As a female solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable and would definitely stay here again if I go back to Istanbul. I would recommend improving breakfast selection, not much variety.

Amazing smaller hotel at the nice area with good service. As we had just one night at Istanbul before departure flight I choose it for good location. So I could show some of famous sites to children. Rooms are very clean and well equipped with beautiful views. And there are even better views from roof. You can also have breakfast on the roof. It's really nice start for the day. I also got free bottle of wine from the hotel and room upgrade as Hotels.com Gold client.

We booked a tripple room for me my wife and 19 year old son with a double and 1 single bed.
In the pictures the room looks huge but in reality we couldnt put 3 suitcases on the floor around the room and even walk let alone 3 hand trolleys.

We chise the hotel duebto the location but were extremely disappointed as to how it was rated a 4* hotel.
Anotger thing is that it was average although the staff was very courteous and helpful.
Another big put off was that we were told that the day before our checkout they will move us to another room as the room was booked for another slot after we leave. And were told we would be compensated- refund
That was another put off. We then went and 2 days before we were to checkout inwent and booked a larger room in another hotel paying more than double the price to compensate for what the family went through.
And when i came and informed the hotel that we will be leaving they made a ubturn telling us that we can stay in the same room. Neither they gave us a refund nor wanted to compensate in any way.
We left the hotel 1 day earlier loosing the money.
It was my 1st planned trip to turkey with my family if it wasnt the daily excursions and amazing experiences of istanbul, the hitel itself was enough to ake the trip a disastrous one.

A simple friendly, clean and very convenient place to stay while in Istanbul. Five to ten minutes walk to most of the main attractions and the same to get to the harbour for the ferries. Lovely terrace with an unparallelled view of the Bosphorus and Hagia Sofia. The breakfast (included) was very varied and plentiful.The staff were more than helpful. Should I return to Istanbul, I would certainly stay here again.

A family owned hotel right in the center of a city is what I enjoy best! And Agora Life was perfect for our stay in Istanbul. They helped arrange our transportation from the airport and once we arrived at the hotel, everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The service was perfect! The front staff was always available and quick to arrange whatever we wanted. We did a private walking tour of the city the day after we arrived and they helped set that up. They made recommendations on where to eat and what to see. They arranged for our COVID tests the day before our departure. The location is perfect! And the rooms were comfortable too. The view of the Hagia Sophia from our room was something I looked forward to each day.

The roof terrace was the only nice thing in this hotel pretty much. The location and breakfast was good as well. However the service wasn’t great. They should pay attention more to room cleanliness because when we came to our room the blankets had stains and they had to change it.
Also, pillows were super uncomfortable ! I had to sleep on my plane pillow.
Another horrible experience was when we asked where we could eat an authentic Turkish food the guy on reception insisted to try the restaurant under the bridge and he also offered a free transfer. This was not a pleasant experience at all because the food there didn’t even look good, they asked $60 for sea bass ( we don’t pay that even in NYC top restaurants!) We left without eating anything. Then we found out that this restaurant pays percentage to the hotel so they send their customers and use a different price menu for tourists. Unfortunately we do not like touristic overrated places and were very upset with the whole situation. Do not ask reception for restaurants advice, you’re better off finding it online or just by walking on the street.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel. The views from the top floor terrace (open 24 hours to guests) are some of the best in the city. The hotel is so centrally located: a 5 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, comparable or slightly longer walk to Topkapi Palace, etc. We were able to sleep in but still easily get to the sights in the morning and beat the crowds. The hotel is also around the corner from a famous hamam that will book concurrent appointments for men and women. There is a big breakfast spread daily and the staff are all very accommodating and helpful. The bed was comfortable. It is also small (14 units) so while you do run into other guests at breakfast or on the terrace, it never feels crowded and there is always a beautiful spot to sit on the terrace.

There was 3 of us in 1 room and although the photo I saw of the triple room looked big, in reality, there was limited space to move around. Having said that, the bed was very clean and comfortable and the location was fantastic! In 10 mins you could walk to the beautiful mosques and great eateries as well as having easy access to public transport which could take you anywhere. The staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough to help us. Would definitely recommend anyone staying here.
