A lovely place to stay! The room is spotless, the lobby is comfortable, and the breakfast is outstanding. The only minor drawback is that you need a taxi or will have to drive to the old town; the distance is too far to be walkable. Front desk staff can readily call a taxi, however -- and to return to the hotel, you just walk to the train station to find a cab.

Comfortable hotel, suites better for business. I booked hotel this for pool and parking. Parking good and reasonable. Unfortunately pool was cordoned off no swimming. No explanation. This was disappointing especially as the Hotel is in a more residential area and away from tourist location. To get to main area was a 30 euro uber ride each way.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. The pool area was very nice. The breakfast choices and service were excellent. There is a self serve laundry available to guest or you can opt for the hotel to provide laundry service which was reasonably priced. The reception staff ordered taxis for us to get into Bari which cost 12-15 euros. There was also public buses just outside which you could use. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel felt like a palace after being on the go for so long in hotels all over Italy. Usually I prefer authentic but sometimes you just need a good pamper. Room and bed/comfort was blissful. Breakfast second to none. Exquisite! My only drawback was the shower had no shelf or place to keep razor, bar soap, or anything else you need. Frustrating to keep out of shower. Staff was great when interacting. I’d go back just for the breakfast buffet. Wow.

Parking underground was a little nerve wracking due to the underground gradient. But we managed to park fine for free outside the hotel. Breakfast had lots of options. The pool was small and convenient for a dip after a hot day. The city was close enough to drive to 10-15 minutes. Convenient to stay close to airport the day before we left. I would stay here again.

Incredibly tranquil yet business oriented hotel in an upscale area of Bari. Within walkable distance to old town - about 40 minutes or 10euro taxi ride. The breakfast selection is outstanding and included. Convenient and very reasonably priced self service bar. Lots great restaurants around. Staff is very helpful

The hotel is located in a residential area, with no restaurant or sights, and with infrequent bus connection to the centre of Bari. However taxis are relatively cheap (10-12 euros) and we were pleasantly surprised by the facilities and service of the hotel, from the well appointed room to the excellent buffet breakfast and the pleasant pool area.

The hotel was terrific across the board. Good service, English spoken widely, really nice outdoor dining area (breakfast only!), dinner was quite good. Rooms are modern and clean with all amenities and good AC/WIFI. Convenient parking under the hotel as well as street parking (but spaces fill during the work day). The only drawback is that there is nothing in the area. If this is just a jumping ground and you are driving during the day its fine. Or you can cab/Uber to the town. There is an attention to every detail at this hotel that makes it stand out. Nothing missing.

Little details like our thermostat in the room kept falling out of the wall, the lights in the lobby leading to the pool were forgotten most days so had to walk in darkness. The area is depressed and slightly too far from the old town. Overall the hotel is modern, very clean and welcoming.

The hotel has one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. That being said their restaurant staff don’t speak English and are always running around frantically even when there’s only a couple of tables. Good luck trying to get anything brought to your table without having to ask for it a few times and even making a trip to the kitchen to remind them of your COFFEE! Breakfast options are very limited and they bring it out in stages so you have to wait for them to refill station every few minutes. Finally it’s safe to say that for the remainder of 2021 their pool won’t be usable because of construction next door (taking down an entire building) which means dust clouds throughout the day. They were nice to refund us half the price paid because of that but it I would’ve still preferred enjoying the pool.

They don’t have lunch in the restaurant but they have sandwiches and salads for sale. There aren’t any restaurants nearby except a bakery to the left as you exit the hotel so I got a pizza there. The air conditioning was really cold and couldn’t be adjusted.

We chose this hotel because it was the only decent one with an outdoor pool.
We were surprised at the quality of the hotel, as being away from the centre, it may be less high class.

Very good city hotel.
First impressions were a little mixed. The area in which the hotel is situated, is not wonderful, and arriving in the room, we were somewhat disappointed with the lack of storage space. However, we accept that we should have realised, being a city hotel, it is not meant for long stays with suicases.
Once this had been forgotten, we really enjoyed our stay. It is very close to the SS16 motorway enabling easy access for touring the area.
The hotel has an underground car park, which although is an extra cost, it is reassuring to know that the car is as safe as possible. Anyone knowing the Italian driving, will appreciate the advantages of not leaving the car on the street.
The restaurant is light and airy, and serves breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is okay, plenty of fresh fruit, but not enough bread options. Loads of sweet things, eg croissants, cakes and flans,but only one white sliced bread, which when toasted is hard and tasteless.
The staff are excellent and very pleasant. The rooms are very well cleaned, and all in all, a good hotel .

The hotel is a bit isolated, but there is a local bus service to the town centre. There are a few restaurants and cafes within a 15 minute walk.
The hotel is very nice, but the breakfast is inconsistent , especially at weekends and this stopped us using the restaurant.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the design of the room, breakfast, and especially the fitness room. Overall a hotel in Bari whose quality is reflected in the number of stars. The fact that the parking inside the hotel is not free, was clear during the reservation. Overall, a pleasant experience.

It's hard to list a downside to this hotel, except for its location, which is a bit far from central Bari. However this was not an issue for me this time as I was attending a conference nearby. Breakfast was good, and there was a free snack/drinks bar that was open 24 hours. The hotel can be reached by taxi from Bari station at a flat rate of 10 euro (the hotel front desk states 13 euro). Enjoyed the stay and would stay there again.

We stayed in HI Hotel during our holiday trip in Puglia region.
Except the fact that the hotel was far away from the city center (fortunately we had a car) everything was perfect.
We had an excellent support from Silvio the responsable we met on the front desk to organize the visit around Bari.
The breakfast was maybe on of the best we had compared the other hotels we stayed in Puglia.

Very loud noises due to the plumbing during night
We couldn't sleep due to the loud plumbing noises when people used the taps in other rooms. Was very loud. When we called the reception the noise stopped. :(

Every time I am in Bari for work I stay at the Garden Inn, it's nice, clean and comfortable, unfortunately this time the pool was closed for maintenance, considering the season maybe they could have scheduled it better
