The only issue that I saw was the big dust bunnies on the ceiling above the headboard. They were fluttering in the breeze from the heater. Otherwise, the beds were very comfortable and cozy and we slept like babies. We were even a little late leaving because of this issue. Anyhow, my sister and I would definitely stay again. Had to pay extra for an early check-in. First time it was $30, I refuse then I go back 45 minutes later and it’s down to $25? Other people paid $20. Feels like I got ripped off. The bathroom was outdated.

Managed to get one of the last rooms after a highway closure. Check in via 3rd party booking agency was easy and simple. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The heat was difficult to control and woke up very hot but figured out (still half asleep) how to change the temp on the wall mounted heating unit.

Room was clean, but so much construction/ Reno supplies in the lobby, and no elevator - I understand it is only 2 floors, but bad shoulder makes it hard to carry suitcase upstairs.
Staff extremely friendly and accommodating!!!
I did ask for our two rooms to be side-by-side and that was not able to happen., not only that they were at opposite ends of the hotel when the man told me they could be side-by-side when I called in and made the reservation.
But for 2 nights we were just fine.

The room could use some upgrades. Lampshades cracked, old, discoloured, as is the fridge and microwave. Bathroom fan cover missing and not working.
Breakfast was good. Excellent coffee.
Front desk service was great.

Just some modern updates would go a long way to making the rooms more pleasant to spend time in.

There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. The lobby was so dark because the lights were turned off, seemed they forgot to turn them on. The front desk agent was nice. The rooms smells like a sweaty man when we first came in. The bathroom is quite old and needed some deep cleaning.

Even though it's a non-smoking hotel, smokers are allowed to smoke directly outside their patio doors which allows smoke to enter into the room through the doors. This leaves a slight smoky scent to the room. There is a can for butts outside, yet people still throw them on the ground. The hotel tries to accommodate people but some just don't get it.

Place was pretty dirty. My reservation was for a 2nd level room, but i got a main floor where a number of men sat outside my siding glass door drinking all night saying replusive things about their wives. I was happy to leave.

The guy at the main desk running the entire hotel was sweet and was able to turn our night around by letting us use a bigger tv, but I paid for a king suite and it was awful it smelt like alcohol and smoke, bunch of drunk workers everywhere, had a window floor AC in the room as the main one was broken but the hose that is suppose to go outside was just blowing the air back in the room lol it was brutal, we then got switched to a double bed room smelt abit better and AC was working but still felt yucky. Entire exterior of hotel was covered in tent caterpillars and there webs it was nasty.

The staff was very nice and the room was fine. I was thrilled that there was a bathtub. (I am so tired of hotels converting to showers, when all I really want is to sit and soak, at the end of the day.) The room was a tad small, and the bathroom could use more counter space. I had to put some things on the back of the toilet, and that means a risk of things falling in. The worst part was the tv. The tv itself was too small, and the channel selection was absurdly bad. I had to go on my tablet to watch a movie. The room appeared to be quite clean and I didn't smell any smoke or other distasteful smells, so that was a real plus. Note: You have to carry your bags up stairs to their second floor. Given the size of the town, I wasn't disappointed in the hotel, and I would go back.

The place to be

this is my 4th time here. I like the quick access to my car from the room. Not a lot of hotels have this .
I also asked the receptionist on my last day. He said on a temporary set up , he stays in one of the rooms for accomodation. Do you do that for employees? If you need a housekeeper , I am willing to do that if I will also have that temporary accomodation until I find a place on my own. I am willing to relocate from Hamilton.

We were on snowmobiles so it was great to be on ground floor and park sleds right outside our room. Front desk staff were super helpful from everything like checkin, minor room fixes, providing suggestions of where to go for dinner and calling us a taxi. We even booked a second night there for our return trip! Breakfast was very good as well!
