The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet had a large variety of foods and was very fresh and tasty. The Japanese restaurant was average as they did not have many popular japanese foods that we were looking for. The restaurant, piano bar and cigar lounge were always pretty empty. This is definitely a relaxing older crowd resort, no party vibes AT ALL. Also, the rooms were freezing. We even turned the air off and it was still cold. and the sheets were pretty thin with no extra blanket so I slept in the robe they provided. The location was in a good spot centrally located.

The hotel is very old. The rooms are very dated. Most of the staff don’t speak or understand English. And they don’t try either. The service is not the best.

The food is nice and the pool and roof terrace are nice.

East check in. Got upgraded bc of Expedia status to Prime, which came with a top floor room, free buffet breakfast and happy hour. It is in a busy part of Santo Domingo so the noise from cars is a thing all night. Food at buffet is good, the pastries are really good and the fruit is the best. Room is spacious with a dining table and desk. All the amenities and robes. I'd definitely return to this property for my next visit. Also a nice chocolate store and patisserie is right next door.

Large clean room. Greeted with a personalized letter and fresh fruit on our table. We checked in during Happy Hour, so we were able to grab a beer, a glass of wine or cold drinks and some great snacks. ceviche, mozzarella and tomatoes, sandwiches, etc. Checkin was easy and everyone was friendly.

I was surprised to have booked the premium package! There were snacks and breakfast that was healthy and delicious every morning and the staff was top tier. I plan to book again on my next trip hopefully soon! Highly recommend! Pool was so relaxing staff was very attentive, the lounge had great music and such a friendly crowd! Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations.

Check-in felt very cold and transactional. Although I booked through Expedia, there was no warmth or hospitality~ only reminders about financial responsibility related to the minibar. Both my husband and I were also required to have our passports scanned, which was not communicated in advance and added to the impersonal experience.

The most serious issue was cleanliness. We encountered roaches in our room, which is unacceptable. Additionally, the bathroom had multiple visibly dirty areas, and several parts of the hotel smelled strongly of old carpet, giving the property an overall dated and unclean feel.

Another low point was the service at the casino bar. The bartender we approached appeared visibly irritated, with crossed arms and dismissive body language. She did not greet us or smile, and her tone made it very clear she did not want to be bothered. Questions were answered abruptly, creating an uncomfortable experience.

While some areas of the hotel were decent, the cleanliness issues and poor service overshadowed any positives. I would not return, nor would I recommend this property based on my experience.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options and was very reasonably priced. On-site restaurants were convenient and quick with service. The property was nice in the lobby and rooms were average. Paid for premium services and was denied services as I had my teenager with me and they did not all children in the premium area even though they charged me for an adult fee for him. Room check-in was late. With
premium mini bar was at a cost and they charges a service fee. Rooms were near the highway, so very loud. Was on the 9th floor and still can hear loud music and honking all night. Staff did not care about any complaints shared and even told
Me I did not pay for premium. Food was paid for as well and we were no told the price before we ate. Only good thing was that it was near estadio Olympico about a 20 min walk over the bridge.

Well, this was a bumpy ride. For years I have been visiting this hotel and this time the expectations were sad. We were checked in an hourly early and when I arrived to the room, they were auditing it. No housekeeping some other representatives from the hotel. When the staff member told me to go to the lobby with him I had to explain him several times that I had the benefits from the Expedia Vip that I could wait in the Premium Level and he still said no. Against his will I went up and talked to the staff and informed her. After a 10 min wait I was given another room. Upon arriving to the room which was standard the bathroom had hair on the sink and the bathroom knob was clinging for its life.

Room service arrived with a letter and an amenity thanking me for being an Expedia ViP member. The amenity was a banana, an apple, an orange and a plum placed in a big plate. Not peeled nor decorated, just four fruits sitting on a plate😂

I could go on talking about the hotel experience but I will come off as an unappreciative individual. Services around the restaurants were horrible, staff was not attentive, and everything was just off. The hotel had definitely seen better days, it's just a regular city hotel by now.

The best expectation is to not have any.
