the good: very friendly staff, good location however be aware that the beach is full of rocks that can be dangerous to children if there are waves. the sea is beautiful, very clean water.
5* for the lady who greets guests at dinner, incredible attitude and genuine, loved meeting her daily!

the bad: room and the furniture is more like a 3 star hotel (although it has some ingenious features like a location for bags under the closet, AC that runs on low when not in the room). the hallways look really bad (no lights or broken lights, broken ceiling). Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything above and next to you, we were lucky that we didn't have noisy guests near us.

the food: there's a lot on offer (maybe too much) however the quality of ingredients is questionable, we tried many things and some tasted bad or were very bland. the coffee is simply bad, worse then supermarket coffee - not uncommon in Croatia (we asked for coffee from the bar at an extra price and it tasted exactly the same). The juices at the machine are simply horrible, my suggestion is to remove these altogether.
With all this said, there was something OK to eat every day. If management would focus more on quality and less on quantity I'm sure the guests would appreciate it.

All amazing, but balcony not child friendly

Perfect for families - has got it all you need to relax with children. Amazing staff, children activities, food is versatile and great, good vines (abut pretty expensive).
Good pools, and very close nearby beaches.
One thing that was a bit of a worry - the balcony is designed with a big gap between the floor and the fence in such a way that a child's foot can very easily slip into the gap! If you have small children, be very careful and watch them when on the balcony! They won't fall, but could hurt themselves easily.

The hotel is ideally suited for families with younger children.
The catering arrangements ,self service, are rather frenetic and if you leave say your coffee for a couple of minutes it is cleared away. Do not be late for breakfast as they start clearing away very early.
If you want fresh orange juice with breakfast or coffee with dinner you have to pay extra ,this surely could be added into the total bill.
Not really a hotel for couples and after a stroll in the evening nothing else to do.

This resort is located right on a gorgeous beach with magnificent views. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & it was hard to leave.
The accommodation was excellent as was the facility & breakfast. The service was also very good, especially Vera on reception who was happy to meet my needs.

Ocean view is great. However staffs are definitely not that well trained, especially those at the reception desk. They are not only slow, but also fail to provide information needed by most tourists like city map, for example. Since I have to leave early, I asked for a breakfast bag, I end up getting a bag with yogurt and sandwich; no water, no napkin, no spoon or fork. They expect me to such yogurt or what? It is a terrible experience to me.

I went to Hotel & Casa Valamar Sanfior for a long weekend solo holiday. I was immediately delighted with the place, my room was perfect with a sea and pool view and the morning sunsets were just stunning, The pools were fabulous and I seemed to have them to myself the majority of the time. Plus the staff were lovely and made me feel so welome, just loved the place

Fantastic place

Not generally a fan of places like this but we loved it. Great staff, fantastic facilities, wonderful beach access. A small issue when checking in was resolved quickly and generously. Rooms were a great size, bright and clean. We didn’t get bored of the half board (although when they say breakfast finished at ten, they start clearing before so don’t be late!) and the beach BBQ was great. Pools were busy and we generally preferred the beach, which was easy to access and v wonderful water. Would totally return.

The location of the hotel is very nice, from our room we were able to look at the Adriatic Sea. The hotel was kept very clean, we could see staff cleaning the pool area every morning. Sitting on a terrace outdoors and looking at the sea while eating breakfast, watching the birds fly around was very charming and relaxing.

Great Staff - Comfortable hotel

We scheduled the Valamar at the end of our tour of central Europe so we would have time to decompress and relax. This is a great place to do just that!
The staff is the crowning jewel of this hotel...maybe even more so than the amazing location on the sea. The front desk staff made sure we were comfortable and were exceptionally knowledgeable on sites to see and directions to get there. Despite a snafu with our room, they did there best to make it up to us. We really appreciated that they made phone calls for us to place reservations.
The wait staff was gracious and attentive. I was impressed that they remembered our room number!

Good hotel in the best location in Rabac

We were staying in superior room facing the seaside. I would highly advise a room on the side of the main entrance, since it receives direct sun only during the morning, so it is possible to use the balcony in the afternoon. Otherwise it can be too hot to sit outside. Room was spacious enough and very clean.

Friendly and efficient staff at reception and hospitality desk.

Buffet dinner had good selection and it varied from day to day. Unfortunately the same good not be said for breakfast. Rather limited selection, which was the same every day. This was probably the main downside of this hotel.

Hotel has probably the best location in Rabac. Close to all activity, but at the same time not in the crowded and noisy part of town. It has good variety of places to stay on the beach (grass with pine trees or pebbles just next to the water).

Nice spring break

Wonderful short stay, unfortunately mostly cloudy or rainy weather, clean and heated indoor pool very convenient for kids. Sea with multiple small pebble beaches surrounds the hotel from three sides since it is situated on small peninsula. New children playground in front of the hotel. Food excellent with great variety of different dishes for self-service dinner and excellent breakfast.

A nice stay

This is a nice hotel in a beautiful location. Not recommended to take advantage of the dinner buffet option as the food was sub-par and the service not good at all. We arrived at 8:50pm for the dinner which ended at 9pm and were pretty much rushed through the entire meal with the table being put away around us. Same thing in the morning with the breakfast and a difficult check in with the representative refusing to check us in unless we emailed her our confirmation number (despite me telling her my confirmation number and showing her the email on my iphone). Despite all of this the hotel is beautiful and in a nice location with affordable clean rooms and a nice swimming pool and wellness center. As other reviews indicated the pillows are insufficient and should be more comfortable but these are minor complaints.

Verry nice hotel, made us feel that we don't need to worry about anything. One bad thing is pillows, they are horrible , feels like there is five gums onside ;))) we brought our pillows.
Verry stylish, comfortable and worm hotel. On the dinner time everyone asked to dress up so it feels like you are in a good restorant after all day seeing shorts and flippers I really needed that. Do recommend to everyone except thouse who like night live and more action at the hotel.

Villamar Sanfior - wonderful vacation

We just came back from a great vacation in Rabac where we stayed at Villamar Sanfior Hotel. The location was excellent, the hotel was luxurious in all the common areas as well as the spa/pool area. The rooms weren't luxurious but clean, nicely furnished...I had a problem with the pillows but was given an orthopedic pillow from their pillowmenu and slept very well after that. The service was exceptional, they were eager and ready to help us with all of our questions and suggested great restaurants where we both enjoyed bear and deer meat at Ucka mountain and great fish in the little village Trget. Rabac as a destination was perfect for us - clean, nice small beach strips along the coast where you could be by yourself or in the company of only a few other individuals. Beautiful stone beaches were our daughter loved to throw rocks into the crystal clear water.

Die Lage ist toll! Das Meer ist sehr sauber! Auf den Hotelflächen, im Swimmingpool und der Parkfläche befinden sich viele Personen, die nicht zu den buchenden Gästen gehören. Das Hotel ist renovierungsbedürftig, allerdings hoffe ich, dass es den Charme eines kleinen gemütlichen Hotels behält! Wir waren in der Casa untergebracht und nicht im Hauptgebäude! Zum Glück für uns!

+ Tolles, sauberes und ruhiges Zimmer
+ Hotel und auch die Umgebung sehr sauber.
+ Frühstück- und Abendbuffet sehr lecker, genug Auswahl und Abends auch abwechslungsreich, wird schnell nachgefüllt.
+ Strand und Wasser MEGA. Verschiedene Arten von Zugängen.
+ kostenloser Parkplatz

- Parkplätze muss man ganz schön lange suchen, sind einfach zu wenige.
- Abends beim Buffet sehr viele Leute, aber man bekommt immer einen Platz, zur Not drinnen.
- Liegen werden auch hier wieder reserviert (die kostenlosen) :/ 9Uhr war nichts mehr frei. Kann aber das Hotel nur teilweise was dafür. Es sind die Urlauber die heutzutage jeglichen Anstand verlieren.

Wir haben uns aufgrund der Bewertungen und des Holidaycheck Award 2024 leider zu viel erwartet..

Die Renovierung ist recht oberflächlich, es gibt noch sehr viel zu tun: deutlich erkennbare Wasserschäden in den Gängen. Der Stiegenturm zum Spa ist sehr kaputt, Teppichböden im Zimmer und Gängen, kaputte Vorhänge usw.

Sehr enttäuscht waren wir vom Essen: das Buffet ist viel zu eng. Im geschlossenen Raum wurde viel frisch stark angebraten, was zu verrauchten Räumen und Gestank führte. Die Auswahl war ok, aber großteils geschmacklos und Surimi (Shrimps-Imitat) als frittierte Shrimps am Meer anzubieten geht gar nicht.
Das Personal war zu knapp besetzt, so dass sich die Teller immer wieder stapelten oder gar keine Getränke bestellt werden konnten.
Es gab gratis Saftspender, was super war. Leider gab es meist keine Gläser und ein paar Säfte ließen sich nicht bedienen aufgrund von notwendiger Reingung.
Bei der Olive Bar gab es über 5 Tage lang nur 2/3 der Karte, weil sie keine Lieferung erhalten würden!?

Die positiven Punkte: super schöne Meeresbuchten. Die Liegen am Hotelpool mit der Aussicht sind toll. Die Strandiegen mit Schirm am Meer in der ersten Reihe haben nur 12€/Tag gekostet. Gratis Parkplatz. Sehr gute frisch gebackene Pizza abends.

Fazit: für ein solides 3 Sterne Hotel ok, für 4 Sterne passen einige Punkte wie Servicepersonal, Essen, Hotelzustand nicht.

Our experience at Hotel & Casa Valamar Sanfior left much to be desired. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a strong chemical odor that was quite unpleasant to endure. Additionally, the toilet emitted a smell of stale urine, which was very off-putting.

The Wi-Fi was inaccessible throughout our entire stay, which proved to be particularly frustrating as business travelers.

While the dinner was adequate, the atmosphere in the restaurant was excessively loud and uncomfortable. It was disruptive to have plates cleared while some guests were still eating.

Breakfast offered a wide selection, but we were dismayed by the behavior of some guests who were seen finger-dipping into the food without any intervention from the staff, which was unhygienic.

Overall, the staff (except the one`s at the desk) seemed unfriendly - they hardly laughed or looked friendly.

Based on these experiences, we cannot recommend Hotel & Casa Valamar Sanfior.

Unterkunft sehr schön gelegen, sehr schöne Promenade und sehr gut gestalteter Meer-Zugang (einziges \"Minus\": die Sonnenliegen sind kostenpflichtig, allerdings Preis OK). Zimmer sind geräumig, Reinigung wenn gewünscht täglich (aber auch abbestellbar, sehr gut!) und sehr gründlich. Zustand der Anlage gut, anständig renoviert, Poolmöglichkeiten (Hotel und Casa) ausreichend (allerdings durchgehend 1,35m Tiefe in Haupt-Pool, dh kleiner Kinder könnnen nirgends stehen). Restaurant sehr \"durchschnittlich\", Preis (HP 3 Pers. 300 Euro)/ Leistung stimmt hier ausdrücklich nicht, vegetarisches Angebot sehr beschränkt. Kaffee leider überhaupt nicht gut und auch zu wenige Maschinen. Service im Restaurant ausgezeichnet! Service an Rezeption \"ausbaufähig\", häufig nicht hilfreich. Keine Ausflugs-Prospekte, keine Beratung, obwohl das entsprechende Schild (Valamar Experience Concierge) noch hängt. Auch kein unaufgeforderter Hinweis auf Angebote der benachbarten Valamar Hotels (wie zBsp Minigolf). Insgesamt muss man sagen: Hotel gut, Essen durschnittlich, Service mit Licht und Schatten, Preis-Leistung für Hochsaison schlecht (min. 100/ Nacht zu viel), Nebensaison sicher besser.

Fint ophold. Fik dog først et virkelig dårligt værelse ud mod gården hvor restauranten ligger og der sidder ca. Ca. 100 mennesker to gange dagligt. Der var ej heller altan. Sød receptionist hjalp med en opgradering.
Hygiejnen ved buffeten er virkelig dårlig, ingen håndsprit i hele restauranten, vores bud er at der 250 mennesker der spiser der. Så ikke persobalet udskifte tagtøj(skeer mv) til buffeten.
Lidt poppet sted, med musik, børneklub mv. Dejlig strande, god snorkling.
Svært at få plads ved poolen, da folk ligger deres håndklæder før de egentlig bruger liggestolene, der burde være skilte der henviser til at folk bør lade være.
Generelt meget venligt personale.

Das Hotel ist richtig gut. Das Personal bemüht sich sehr. Die Beschreibung auf der Internetseite finde ich jedoch nicht ausreichend. Die Parkplätze stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung, das Frühstück und Abendessen sind echt lecker, jeder findet etwas für sich. Die Getränke sind nicht im Preis inbegriffen und müssen zusätzlich bezahlt werden. Ein Minus ist der Strand. Der ist nicht schön und bietet nicht ausreichend Platz.

Im Großen und Ganzen ein schöner Urlaub :-)

Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Hotel. Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, das viele Annehmlichkeiten bietet. Leider Haben wir ein anderes Zimmer bekommen, als das was wir gebucht hatten. Wir wollten Meerblick mit Balkon. Bekommen haben wir ein Zimmer zur Meerseite (mit viel Phantasie) und auch waren wir im Erdgeschoss.(also kein Balkon!!)Wir konnten leider nichts sehen, da die Stäucher vor unserer Terrasse (zwar sehr schön) sehr sehr groß waren.Ebenso konnte unsere Terrasse auch vom Nebenzimmer(welches von fremden Menschen benützt wurde) besucht werden. Das wollten wir so leider nicht!!!!!!
Das Reinigungspersonal ist sehr motiviert. d. h. wir wurden innerhalb einer Woche 5x um 6.30 geweckt, da pünktlich mit dem Putzen vor unserer Zimmertür begonnen wurde. Unsere Beschwerde (nach 2 Tagen) wurde leider ignoriert. Wir konnten somit an diesen Tagen nicht ausschlafen.
Bei unserer Abreise haben wir dann einen geringen Preisnachlass dafür bekommen.
Ansonsten war es ein schöner Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Umgebung in einem schönen 4-Sterne Hotel.
Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich.

Strand ist terrassenartig befestigt und mit Liegen und Schirmen ausgestattet und der Zugang zum Meer ist sehr gut. Da das Hotel an einer Landspitze liegt ist auch des Baden an den kleinen Buchten auf der anderen etwas Landseite möglich, dort gibt es zwar keine Liegen dafür ist es windstiller und auch das Meer ist ruhiger.
Optimale Lage um eine kleines Spaziergang zur Ortsmitte von Rabac zu machen und in den kleinen Laden zu shoppen oder in den div. Bars und Gaststätten einzukehren.
Einzig die Standardzimmer sind schon etwas klein und ohne Balkon, so dass es etwas problematisch ist die nassen Handtücher und Badebekleidung trocken zu bekommen.
Weg zum Hotelpool ist sehr verwinkelt und die Treppenstufen sind bei jeder Treppe verschieden hoch.
Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub und ich würde jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren.

Una notte a Rabac

1 sola notte, camera assegnata superiore a quella prenotata, una suitte molto grande, con terrazzo, 2 camere comunicanti e due bagni, avevo prenotato una tripla. Personale gentile, hotel fronte mare, unico piccolo inghippo, al momento del check in non vedevano il mio pagamento gia 'effettuato al momento della prenotazione e mi proponevano di pagare nuovamente per poi stornarmi i soldi, ho composto il numero per parlare con un operatore Hotel com ma dopo poco hanno trovato il pagamento e non è stato necessario. Sono stata bene, giardini curati, silenzioso e con tutti i confort, piscine coperte e scoperte di acqua dolce ben tenute. Tutto ottimo.

Sport- und Wellnessangebot, Buffet und Mitarbeiterfreundlichkeit waren hervorragend. Allerdings war es das erste Hotel in den letzten 6 Jahren vom Gardasee bis Istrien das die täglich anfallende / avisierte Hundepauschale tatsächlich berechnet hat. Bisher wurde sie von allen anderen Hotels angekündigt aber nie fakturiert.

Ugodan hotel ne najnovije arhitekture ali svakako preporučljiv za ljubitelje mira i šetnje uz more. Bazen vrlo ugodan ali nešto umanjene temperature vode nego što je to bio slučaj u dosadašnjim boravcima. Osoblje vrlo ljubazno. Kuhinja bi trebala upotrijebiti malo više mašte i onda kada je mali broj gostiju u hotelu.

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel per i servizi proposti, nonostante distasse svariati di chilometri da Pola, Fiume e Rovigno. La scelta è stata ottima, l'hotel offre ottimi servizi, piscina interna ed esterna (non molto grandi), camere spaziose (la nostra era in riva al mare e si poteva uscire direttamente da lì essendo a piano terra, erano compresi anche i lettini nel mini giardino di competenza della stanza), cosigliamo la mezza pensione, perchè il buffet è molto vario sia a colazione che a cena, con piatti locali inoltre propongono piatti vegetariani e vegani. Il parcheggio per le auto si trova nella pineta dell'hotel. Offre anche possibilità di dependance, credo appartamentini, distaccati dall'hotel, ma sempre all'interno del suo giardino. Nonostante noi siamo andati in ottobre, l'hotel era sempre pieno di turisti stranieri. Le serate sono allietate da piano bar con musica dal vivo, con possibilità di ballare e brindare con gli amici.
